OOC: Sorry it’s incomplete… ran into some RL issues that demand my time. ![]() “No no no no no, he can NOT come to SCW! Absolutely not!” We are greeted with a scene so few are used to. Instead of the usual calm, conniving appearance, Madelyne is flustered, some might even say frightened judging by the look in her wide eyes. She ran a hand through her blonde locks, disheveled and messy. Not the norm for the usually immaculate Brit. She slams her other hand, balled into a fist, into the wall she is leaning against. Her chest heaves with heavy breathing; she is almost on the verge of tears. Clark stands a few feet away, obviously uncomfortable. “Madelyne, there is nothing we can do about it. He signed the contract, and he was accepted into the company by management. Besides, he can’t do anything to you. Not according to the rules.” Madelyne flashed him a glare that could curdle milk, her mascara running a bit. In a flash, she was in Clark’s face, a well-manicured finger pointed squarely between his bulbous eyes. The hunchback noted that the finger was quivering, his client actually trembling. “He came after me with a goddamned chainsaw, Clark! A chainsaw! Was that ‘in the rules?’ Does that sound like a man who plays fairly? He’s a psycho, a fruit loop, and I do not want him in this company! Do you know what he’s going to do to me?! I ruined his life! I sent his friends away, hospitalized one, fired another, and made his life a living hell. So tell me, Clark, what precisely is it about this man that makes you think he’ll follow the rules of SCW?” “You can’t let it get to you, Maddie. You’re a champion now, and no one can see you crack, else it would be blood in the water. All sharks would come circling! Do you think Marina Trent would let that go? She’d be all over you, exploiting that weakness.” Clark grabbed the Women’s Championship from the shelf it was sitting on, holding it up to his client’s face. “You hold the title, so-“ “To blazes with the goddamn title!” Madelyne tore it from his grasp and hurled it across the room. The gold-and-leather belt smashed through a glass case, slamming against the wall before falling to the ground to rest amidst the shards of broken glass. Clark’s jaw dropped in shock; that title had been Madelyne’s crowning achievement in SCW. She was right back in his face, though, jaw clenched. “I don’t care about Marina Trent. I don’t care about the Women’s Division. You know him as well as I, Clark. He’s like a cockroach; if you see one, you know the entire family isn’t far behind, and there isn’t a group of people out there who hold more of a grudge than they.” Madelyne pulled away, running her hand through her hair once more as she paced back and forth across the room. Clark finally got over his initial shock; Madelyne was definitely scared, and from what he’d seen a few months back, she had every right to be. Suddenly, the diminutive manager’s eyes lit up, an idea crossing his mind. A large grin formed upon his face. “Madelyne… what is different?” The buxom blonde turned towards Clark, a puzzled expression on her face. “Back then, you were just as hated by the roster as you are now. You had people gunning for you just the same. What do you have today that you didn’t have then?” Slowly, a smile formed as Madelyne began to comprehend Clark’s point. Back then, she’d been alone, fighting for and by herself. She’d been a solo act. But here in SCW, that was not the case. Far from it in fact. She had- “Infamous.” “Precisely. I think it’s about time this partnership proved beneficial to you.” Clark nodded slowly, a triumphant grin plastered on his face as Madelyne grabbed her iPhone from the nearby desk. In moments, she was speaking directly with the best friend and ally she could possibly have. “Zoe? It’s Maddie. See, I have this little problem… Graham Clauson is back in town.” * * * “On Breakdown, history will be made. For the very first time in SCW I, Madelyne McTaggert, will have a male opponent. Oh, I’ve fought males before, of course. Other rings, other companies. I’ve faced people like Crazy KYD, Jacob Wright, and Graham Clauson. All were male… though with Graham Cracker, it’s questionable… and I’ve triumphed over each and every one. But this will be a first in Supreme Championship Wrestling, an historical moment to say the least. I’ve kept to the Women’s Division the entire time I’ve been a member of this roster, and now, I’m breaking beyond that barrier. We’ve had a time of seeing women push on in this company, having two female World Champions in the span of a month, proving that those of us without a Y chromosome can play the game just as well. Look out, boys… the women will be putting YOU in the kitchen, soon enough.” “So who will be the man to go toe to toe with the Women’s Champion? None other than David Helms, also a champion! He holds the United States Title… one of the few that are not in the possession of Infamous. But don’t you worry, Mr. Helms. Or worry… but know that worrying is about as effective as solving an Algebraic equation by chewing bubblegum. Because Infamous is coming for that bit of shine wrapped about your waist, and you know as well as I that Infamous gets what Infamous wants. Once the collective eye of SCW’s juggernaut is fixated on something, they acquire it. It may take time, but eventually, we win out. Just look to me for evidence of that.” Madelyne held up the Women’s Title, presenting it as a gameshow hostess would, an exaggerated smile lighting up her delicate features. Madelyne had taken it from the hands of the entire female roster, and had yet to let anyone forget it. “Now, you’re a formidable man, David. Just look at those sleeves you sport; we all know tattoo means badass. But consider, if you will, the fact that this is Infamous. This isn’t a match, David. You may think it so, but the truth of the matter is this: it’s a test. It’s reconnaissance on the great United States Champion. It’s a probe. It’s no secret that your every move will be observed, studied, analyzed. If you’re not expecting that, then you’re a fool… and you, Mr. Helms, don’t strike me as a fool. You’re a do-gooder, to be sure; a misguided idealist that strives to be a hero to the masses. And they cheer you like one, too. They love you, adore you. But despite the pandering, you’re no fool. You know how to get into the ring and get things done. You’re also of the hardcore variety, throwing yourself into dangerous and potentially fatal situations. Well, Mr. Helms, congratulations, for you have done just that. You have walked directly into the web of Infamous, placing yourself in the most dangerous position in all of SCW. You’re a marked man, David. Holding that title the way you do, you’ve stood out. You hold one of the two belts that don’t belong to us, my friend… and that’s a dangerous position to be in. But dangerous… that’s your home, isn’t it? You truly feel at ease when you are performing some death-defying stunt, correct? Then beware, David… because Infamous is storming your house as we speak. We will raid your home, declare it our own, and take from you that which we desire: the United States belt. So David, I need you to make a choice for me. You can remove that belt from your waist, bow to one knee, and hand the United States title over… or we can make you. It’s your choice, David, but make no mistake… that is the only choice you have.” |

OOC: Bobby, I really can't stress how sorry I am over how late this is. I took a couple of weeks off in the hope that the early effects of burnout would be cured, but I failed to take into consideration the GoW tourny and one thing built on top of another and I just couldn't force my self to write this until Today. I've efectively written 4 rp's in a week, but more or less TWO of those were today lol. Either way dude, I'm sorry you didn't have anything to work from much sooner. Anywho, this certainly Isn't my strongest rp ever, the scene feels rushed but I'm literally forcing my eyes open right now just to post it. Scene hasn't even been proof read because I need to go to bed lol. Shoot however HAS been proof read and I'm quite happy with how that turned out. Sorry about the essay here, but felt some stuff needed to be explained lol. Anyway, good look Bobby and to anyone who reads it, enjoy.
