Who else watched it? I did and I first want to say that I enjoyed this PPV, was one of the better wrestling ppv's I've seen in a while. Enjoyed it more than WrestleMania that's for sure. I want to give the positives first. Kane vs Orton - This match I wasn't expecting anything out of and surprisingly? It wasn't awful. It was a decent bout despite the ending being predictable. I agreed with the finish having Orton win because Kane got the surprise win at Mania. Orton needed this win. Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus - Wow Daniel Bryan carried that dude for this entire match. This was actually a damn good match. Lasted in total about 20 minutes and I didnt think Sheamus could have a good match like this but wow did Bryan prove me wrong. I liked how the match was booked with the way the falls went. Seemed like a best way to make both guys look good in this match. Bryan looks very vindictive in this match and Sheamus showed no quit. Sheamus winning was a given as the final minutes a very big John Cena feel to it. Layla vs. Bellas - It's a Diva's match not much here but I'm just happy Layla is back because I loved her and Michelle. I found them hella entertaining. Chris Jericho vs CM Punk - This match was awesome until the final few minutes. This match I feel was better than their match at mania. The beatings that they gave and Jericho's trash talk was pitch perfect like always. He was just so damn arrogant you had to love it. Brock Lesnar vs John Cena - Everything but the final minute of this match was perfect. Now the Negatives Cody Rhodes vs Big Show - Honestly not sure what this really does here. The way the match ended was kind of funny however putting the IC belt back on Cody doesn't seem to make much sense here as I pegged Cody for moving toward the Main Event scene after Mania. Brodus Clay vs Dolph Ziggler - This stuff is just annoying. This had no place on the PPV as I just hate how Ziggler is jobbing to this guy. WWE is trying to get Clay over but honestly? It's shelf life is Eugene's AT BEST! Ryback vs Two Random Dudes - Once again no point to this being on a PPV. It's just WWE selling another new guy as being a monster to crush random people before he gets a undeserving main event feud. RAW has Tensai and SD has Ryback. How long before they're feuding for the World titles? I give it 3 months. Pathetic. Chris Jericho vs CM Punk - Like I said all but the final few minutes of this match was amazing. My problem is WWE writers fucked it up. Sorry to say but Chris Jericho should of gotten the win. In Punk's hometown of Chicago people expected him to win and it was a shock he won last year against Cena. Should of shocked us with Jericho winning this year. Jericho lost at Mania which everyone knew would happen but why didn't Jericho win this one? Everything was set for Jericho to embarrass Punk in front of his family and and friends and for Punk to come back and retake the title at the next PPV in a Last Man Standing match or something to that effect. Plus I'm sorry but Punk kicked out of way too much shit and for Jericho to do 3 Codebreakers to Punk one with a chair and then Punk doing 1 GTS and wins? That's complete bullshit and made Jericho not look very good. Brock Lesnar vs John Cena - Same with this match as with Jericho and Punk. WWE writers fucked this up. Brock tore Cena apart this entire match. It was stopped twice because Cena was bleeding within the first minute of the match. It was awesome. Lesnar was doing what his return meant for him to do. Kick John Cena's ass. It was so awesome to watch someone just own Cena. Brock looked unstoppable and then what happens? A punch with a chair and an AA and we have a winner. Awful. Cena can't get his ass kicked like that and then Brock loses that quickly? It just pains me that WWE continues to fuck shit up. This made Brock's return pointless. Brock needed to win this match. He needed to in fact OWN John Cena. Because then we have a build up of John Cena rediscovering himself. Sorry but that speech from Edge and Cena wearing that chain? Sorry it shouldn't have been that easy. Cena should of gotten beat down and then he should of sank deeper and deeper on RAW until you finally start to think that he's actually done. Then have him be off RAW for a couple weeks and return at the PPV and beat Brock Lesnar. WWE you fucked up two storylines tonight. Congrats on that otherwise the show was awesome but now I hate it because of the way they ruined two storylines. |

Bro, just give up on the writers. They're writers, not bookers, and until we get bookers who know the business because they've either been in it themselves or been brought up in it, then we'll never get wrestling storlines, angles, gimicks, and matches that make sense because the people who made it for us HAVE NO DAMN SENSE...sorry, it's 7Am and I can't blow a head gasket like I normally do talking about how WWE makes a fucking career out of fucking up a sure thing. So let me instead mention the stuff of note I saw... - Cody and Big Show. I liked the match, I did NOT like the segment beforehand. The wheel is spun, it lands on Tables match. Start counting. Big Show responds "good luck putting me through the table." Then we pan back to ringside, where only three stagehands have set up TWELVE TITTYFUCKING TABLES. Stop counting. That's seriously it...in less than five seconds after finding out the match type, they've got it set up. How the fuck do we take WWE seriously when it refuses to take itself seriously? - THAT elbow. We need more of those. - What the fuck was Cena talking about when he cut that promo at the end? And combined with RAW last night...why did he even cut it to begin with? - I was overall impressed with the effort made by most of the roster. Kane/Orton gave me flashbacks to 1999. Bryan/Sheamus could have only been better if Bryan won, but when you can't complain about a match even if your pick loses then you know you saw some good shit. Hell, I actually gave a damn to see a John Cena match. Do I think they have a tendency to just pander to a quick pop in the ratings rather than slow burn an angle for long-term viewership? Absofuckinglutely. But all I'm saying is, Extreme Rules felt pretty damn big and it kinda lived up. |

They spun the wheel and determined the match during the pre-show. |
