The following is part 1 of 2 and is more of a prologue to the main CD of the next. Chapter 5: Taken from the Unwilling... Selena's eyes burned as she forced them open, forcing her to shut them against the blinding light, her throat pushing out a startled cry. "Please, Ms. Frost. Be careful." she heard, not recognizing the voice. "Who is that?" came her demanding question. "Doctor Tanner, Ms. Frost. You're going to be a little confused. You suffered a blow to the head." A blow to the head, Selena wondered. That made no sense. When would that have occurred. Yes, she was a wrestler, or attempting to be one, but she had never been "knocked out" before. In fact, she hadn't even been unconscious during Anna's birth. Before or after, until she was told to sleep "or else" but the doctor. Yet, according to this Tanner fellow, she had indeed been knocked out. Despite the growing headache behind her right eye socket and right temple, the new wrestler forced herself to try and remember what had occurred. She had been wrestling, fighting that large man...Au...Auclan? Auclair, that was it! And she had been, her mind questioned. Where had she been? On the turnbuckle? In the ring? She had flown or something... "Can I open my eyes now?" she asked, the compulsion to do something, anything, to prove she was going to be okay. "Yes, but slowly." the doctor quietly ordered. Following his command, Selena opened her eyes, slowly at first, then she ignored the sting of her eyes from the bright white light. Blinking a few more times was the natural reaction and it allowed her to focus on the details of the room, for a moment. Unfortunately, it was the sight of so many things that brought the next issue for her. "I'm..." she croaked, but Tanner was faster. Before her head had lowered, he had the bucket by her just in time for the Queen of the People to empty her stomach's contents. Selena felt the tears sting her eyes as she retched over and over again into the bucket, praying it would not become full. She desperately tried, to ask what was going on, but each attempt was interrupted by more retching. She felt the tears fall down her cheeks. She was helpless. Like she had been wrestling El Vengador a week or so ago. She couldn't fight back against the nausea, she just had to ride it through. Clutching the bucket till her fingers turned white, Frost did her best to stifle the cries her throat begged to release. A few minutes and the nausea seemed to subside, though Selena believed that it was because she had nothing left in her stomach to upchuck. Raising her eyes upward, and doing all she could to ignore the smell of vomit, Selena saw the moist washcloth being offered to her. Taking it quickly, she wiped her face clean before sitting up as much as possible. "Thank you. I'm sorry for the mess." "Please, think nothing of it." answered the doctor. "Can I ask how I got like this?" "You had a bad landing with the guardrail. You may have a concuss-" "Where is she?!" Came the loud voice as it echoed through the halls and, eventually, the room where Selena lay. Despite her nausea, which had begun to fade slightly, she could not help but think that voice sounded oddly familiar somehow. "Am I hearing things as well? I thought I heard a loud voice-" "Where is the doctor?" came the voice once more. "Nevermind." Excusing himself, Dr. Tanner peeked outside the door before being pulled out into the hall. Despite the thick door and walls, Selena coud almost make out the voices of the doctor and the hysterical woman. Nothing discernible and Frost could not pinpoint the voice of the female, despite it sound familiar. That is, until, the door suddenly swung upon, forcing Selena to come face to face with- "Selena! Are you alright-" came the woman. She stood in the doorway, her eyes displaying her concern vividly. Her dark brown hair was a stark contrast to Selena's silver-white. One, at first glance, would never believe this woman as- "Moth- What are you doing here?" "I was in the audience- who cares? Are you-" "Fine". Selena snapped. "What are you doing here-" "I'm afraid your daughter has had a concussion, Mrs. Frost." "Oh," Selena chimed in, "she's not Mrs. Frost anymore. She got remarried two months after her and daddy's 20th wedding anniversary. She's Mrs. DeCarlo now." "Selena!" "I'm very sorry for the mixup, Mrs. DeCarlo." the doctor answered. "No, and Anya, please." the older woman replied. "What is the damage?" "She displays the signs of a concussion-" "Concussion?!" No, no, no! Selena's mind roared. She didn't need this now! She had been campaigning for weeks to be placed into the "War of the Roses" pay-per-view. She remembered reading it on her contract. Pay-per-views had higher pay rates, as well as possible bonuses. It wa extra money in her pocket. Extra money for Anna. "Are you sure?" her mother, Anastasia DeCarlo, implored. "Stay out of this!" Selena spat before turning her attention to the doctor. "Are you sure?" "Yes. Do you not remember the tests?" Tanner inquired, earning only a shook head from Selena. "Memory loss, nausea, lack of balance and coordination. Sel-" "Ms. Frost, if you please." "Ms. Frost," Tanner gulped, "I will stake my career on this. You have a concussion. I recommend to remail awake for the next 24 hours and take a few weeks off from wreslting-" "No!" was her quick answer and Selena found herself pushing up and onto her own legs. "I'm not talking any time off. I have nothing here as it is!" The doctor answere, "Ms. Frost, if you don't-" "I don't care! I'm not losing-" "If I'm with her, can she leave and stay with me-" "No! Not a chance- I-" Selena began with a refusal, but another wave of nausea took over, forcing her to seek the bucket once more, the putrid taste filling her nostril and throat, making them sick all over again. "I-" another round of vomitting. "She is coming with me, doctor." "Alright. Biological mother?" "Yes." Anya answered to the doctor. "Keep her awake for 24 hours and no food till after that as well." "I'm not staying with her" Selena whined but she was too weakened to go another round of arguing. Instead, she pushed herself to her feet and marched out of the room, the doctor and her mother's cries falling on deaf ears. Unfortunately, she did not get far as she suddenly felt beyond tired, the floor rushing up to meet her. Four arms caught her fall, securing her to a sitting position in one of the halls. "I'm sorry, Ms. Frost, but unless you have a guardian with you, I cannot discharge you. Instead, I'll have to transfer you to the local hospital." "That will take hours to just get through the mess." Anya stated and Selena quietly agreed. A night in the hospital? What if D. found out? She's have no chance at getting a match for War of the Roses. Companies like SCW didn't deal with liabilities like these. They would just sweep her under the rug like a damn piece of lint. She'd have nothing for the pay-per-view or even a career if knowledge like this was exposed. A deep breath as she sat against the wall and Selena knew how little choice she had in this. "FIne. Let's go." she ordered to Anya. The mother did not respond in words, merely helping Selena to her feet and keeping her secure as her mother talked her way out of arena with little to no troubles. Guess somethings never changed, Selena mused before she had to stop her mother, another wave of nausea hitting her full-force. Damn, she thought...if they all could see me more... _____________________________________ The Royal Letter Dear Mr. Matt Auclair, I'd like to personally thank you for your warm words. "Ended the fairy tale". "Gonna hurt, Selena.". Yes, I would personally like to thank you for reminding me of the difference between "imaging" and "lying". Yes, there is a clear distinction that exists in those two words, Mr. Auclair. To imagine is to activate one's imagination, their creativity. It is to dream, perhaps of a goal or a future? To imagine is to believe in something in faith and seeking to attain it. To imagine, Mr. Auclair, is to believe in it whole-heartedly. To lie is to openly state a falsehood. To take a truth and state the most outrageous, and fictitious, opposite to it, often for the most pitiful reason of destroying the original truth. There is no doubt over which you are and which I am, Mr. Auclair. I am the believer, the dreamer, the imagineer if you will. Yes, I have "The Land of Make Believe", but what I believe and imagine in are my perceptions of the world and my goals are attainable. I am the one who dreams of better things and better opportunities. Am I crazy? Am I "living a lie"? I suppose to someone as basic and primitive as yourself, who's idea of a "imagination" revolves around what his next meal will be or perhaps "Will I get the fries or the shake?" with his order, I would be "lying to myself". Well, Mr. Auclair, at least I'm not lying to anyone else. I would rather lie to myself and have my dreams than lie to a person and think there was nothing to it. It's a little thing called "integrity". And clearly you, just like El Vengador, have no integrity. I'll start with El Vengador so I can assure you read this entire letter, gods forbid you suffer from you attention span of a gnat and miss this enlightenment. Mr. Vengador seems to have taken offense to my letters, at least his manager seems to. I cannot watch a promotional material with them without hearing my name being mentioned. Well, Mr. Pedro and his associate seek to speak highly of themselves with "integrity", however, the moment they are questioned, perhaps challenged, in their beliefs and true goals of being "heroes", what do they do? They attack me. They focus on me. "How dare Selena Frost say such mean things! How dare she question us after we praised her and complimented her so!" Maybe they need to realize something. If I wanted to be praised or worshipped, I would come to the ring with a tiara and an entourage and scream orders of "loving me". That's what I would do. Just like your little "promises of hurting me beyond belief", I'm not going to be swayed by sweet talk. I spent my whole life in the cold of Alaska and I learned one rule. If you have breath to talk, then it better be to the point and quick, otherwise you are just wasting energy and time, which you can't afford to do out there in the frozen wasteland. So when I talk, you had best listen, cause it might be the "crappiest fable you'll ever hear" but it will always be honest. That's me, Mr. Auclair. That is who I am. But it seems Mr. Vengador was not too thrilled with that and look what happened. He allowed himself to be distracted and knocked out by you. And, unlike most heroes who learn their lessons and grow stronger, our Mr. Vengador threw his arms in the air, had Mr. Pedro shout some more to me, then proceed to lose his match to another person who lives in the "The Land of Make Believe". A man who believes he is a sheriff in a land full of outlaws. Oh, and a man that clearly beat you, Mr. Auclair. Perhaps if you weren't so busy following Mr. Vengador in thinking about me, you would have proven yourself more a competent man and won your match. However, it seems you were too busy lying to all of Supreme Championship Wrestling about me. Please, allow me to clarify your little fib, Mr. Auclair. At what point did you "hurt me", as you said you would? When did you "beat the hell out of Selena Frost" or "end the fairy tale" or, my personal favorite, "show the princess how bitter the real world is"? My mind is somewhat unclear on that because I distinctly remember that I was counted out of that match because you pushed me off the turnbuckle and I, in my own inexperience I shall confess, hit my head on the rail and was knocked out. I'm failing to see how you "damaged me". Did you make sure that the rail was there for me? Or was the gravity your doing? You see, Mr. Auclair, for you to take any credit, have any credibility really, in our match, you will have to have "meant" to have done what you did and done what you promised. Instead, you shoved me and by luck, and luck alone, I fell wrong and that favored you. In other words, you didn't hurt me, you didn't "beat the hell out of me" and you didn't "end the fairy tale". Gravity and the barricade gave me the concussion and the loss. Inexperiene beat me. Not you. You, dear giant, did nothing but take credit with a lie and that is why you lost your match at War of the Roses. You were so busy lying about me that you failed to see Mr. Wiseman prepare. He was not concerned with losses. He was ready for what was before him. Much in the same way I am ready for what is before me; and that is El Vengador. I will give you credit where it is due, Mr. Auclair. I DID learn that this world is a bitter place, but that lesson did not come from you. Rather, it came in the days after our match. In the days where I called Supreme Championship Wrestling headquarters, even Mr. D. himself, asking, begging, pleading for a match at War of the Roses. Do you know what happened, Mr. Auclair? My phone calls were never returned. Not one message saying "yes" or "no". No, instead, concussion and all, I drove myself to War of the Roses, only to be told, after travelling for hours that "I had no match". I was to sit backstage "in case they needed me". I had to sit there and watch people like you, who were no better off than I in their wrestling careers, wrestle for the Pay-Per-View paycheck, money that eluded me. Money that I thought I could. Instead, I lost money driving there, hours travelling and faith watching other people walk past me as I sat on the hideous bench, waiting. And now, after all of that, did I finally receive a "somewhat apologetic" email from Mr. D., stating his "busy schedule". Of course, that was after I discovered that I had a chance to "earn my right" into the Trios Tournament while you, for losing your pay-per-view match, received a championship title opportunity soon for the Underground title. Yes, Mr...Yes, Auclair, I learned in that moment that the world is indeed a very very cruel and bitter place. No different than the land of snow and ice of Alaska. But that is why I have "The Land of Make Believe". So I can see past it and return to the mindset that "all is possible if one believes". I refuse to lose my beliefs, Auclair. They are all I have left in this world and no weak fabrications from liars like you are going to deter me from what I want. Compared to your golden ticket to a championship, I have been given but a lump of coal in this "chance to be in the Trios Tournament". That lump of coal shows that I must put myself through every hell to do what I have never done and that is win a match. I've come close but never have. And what is the reward if I do this "never done task"? I am placed on a team that could "possibly win the Trios Tournament". Unlike you, I do not have to win once to achieve success, but multiple consecutive wins. Three, four, dare I say, five! That is my gift for losing, Auclair. Gold for you. Coal for me. But do you what happens with coal if you push and wait and push and wait and push and wait? Well, that little piece of coal becomes something far more valuable than your cheap gold, doesn't it? In fact, if one is patient enough with the coal they have, they are soon rewarded with a diamond. That is what I will transform my reward from this "bitter world", Auclair. I will continue to believe in myself and what I can do and I, unlike you and Mr. Vengador, will put my focus only on that transformation of my coal. I will give it my all against everyone. I will transform the coal into the diamond but also I will transform myself. From Ice Queen in the "bitter world" to the "Trios Tournament Winner" of SCW. As for you, I pray that you will enjoy Breakdown, and all your little fibs crashing down around. The fairy-tale is just beginning, Auclair. I'm afraid it's your little story that will soon be coming to an end, must like Mr. Vengador's. Perhaps you two could share stories when you both fail yet again. I believe you both would finally learn something. Sincerely yours, The Snow Queen |

ooc: "A Winter's tale" is on-camera. Everything else is off Good luck to the handler of Selena So Close, Yet So far March 17th, 2012 7:34 pm (Our scene opens up as a car starts to pull into the parking lot of the abandoned warehouse Lupe Valdez and her Uncle Luis have been going about Lupe’s training for the last few months. The car soon comes to a halt as it turns off and out steps Lupe and Luis Lupe is wearing sweats and a black shirt with her hair up in a ponytail. Usually she wouldn’t be caught dead stepping gout of her home like this but hey she’s training. Got to put the cuteness away for now Her Uncle Luis has a bag slung on his shoulder and immediately starts making his way into the warehouse. Lupe herself now opens the backdoor to her car and reaches back into it and pulls out a large brown bag. She claims to her parents that this bag is for her pens and paperwork but the truth is she uses this bag to keep her work clothes in. This is Lupe’s life now practically. She leaves her home at the crack of dawn to “go to work”. Drives an hour to Palau, picks her Uncle up and trains during the day. Takes a shower at his place and then actually does go to work, drives back another hour and gets home till the witching hour. Quite the life for a 22 year old isn’t it? It’s the one she chose though and truth be told it’s not going too bad. It’s been a month now that she’s been working at Mi Tierra and so far so good. She hasn’t had any major screw ups. Mr. Sandoval, the manager, has complimented her on her work ethic all though he didn’t seem very caring the way he said…then again he never sounds very caring when he says anything Oh and Gabby has been a huge help to her. She keeps things fun at work. That girl rocks Of course there is till Yvonne who has been nothing short of…catty…yeah well go with catty to describe her. True Queen Bee syndrome at work there But for as catty as Yvonne has been Mr. Diaz, the owner, has been kind…very kind. Lupe thinks he’s a fair man and she ahs seen him as nothing short of that to every employee he has. That’s been a big relief. As for her wrestling training it’s been coming along. She’s gotten over the bodyslamming stage and the pain. She now is starting to run the ropes, seeing how she needs to control her body in there In Lupe’s mind she thinks getting to a match with Diablo is going to be here real quick. Lupe puts the strap to her bag on her shoulder and now heads into the warehouse Once she does she sees her Uncle setting up a laptop at a table. He turns back and looks at her.) Luis: This was posted last night. You need to take a look at it (Lupe makes her way over to the table and takes a seat. Once she does her Uncle starts typing and comes to website. The image Lupe sees is a disgusting one. It’s Diablo) (His image is frozen on the screen as Lupe looks at her Uncle) Lupe: What is this? Luis: Just watch (Luis starts to play the video as Diablo starts to speak in his usual gruff tone) Diablo:Oh my oh my oh my. Where have you gone El Vengador. Do you not hear the poor people calling out your name? Oh Vengador I get a kick out of it. They still believe in you but the unison is starting to fade. Oh yes I hear the chants becoming quieter and quieter with each passing show. They are becoming quieter cause they are starting to realize that no matter how much they chant you truly are not going to show up. How many months has it been now Vengador? Three? Four? Do you watch anymore Vengador or do you still have nightmares from that night? Do you fear the man who did that to you? You must cause no one has seen your ass since. (Lupe and Luis but glare at the laptop as they keep watching what Diablo has to say) Diablo: Or maybe it’s cause you are laying in a bed right now totally unaware of what happened to you. We never really found out cause the fat man tucked his tail and ran away once his protector was not there to defend him. I just hope this message finds you Vengador in some way cause I want you to know the joy I took from crippling you and I know I did has not been matched. (Lupe now stands up out of her chair and walks away from the laptop, hearing this is starting to anger her so she turns her back and puts her hands on her hips Luis however continues to watch) Diablo: No not even holding my title for the record length I have now can match up with putting Mexico’s greatest hero out for good. That’s something I’m gonna cherish for the rest of my days. Wait you know what I got an even better idea. When I do pass on I’m gonna make sure it reads on my tombstone “Here lies Diablo, the man who crippled El Vengador” (Diablo lets out a devilish chuckle as Luis shakes his head in disgust) Diablo: But you know what I hope for the most Vengador? I do hope that maybe one day you’ll come back to a show. Maybe one day you’ll come back and say hi to the people one last time. They can give you the big cheer they always did. I really hope that happens cause the second I see you I’ll make sure to drop your head right onto mat again (Diablo lets out that devilish chuckle again as the image becomes frozen. Luis has reached over and touched the laptop to stop the video. He now looks over his should and looks at Lupe, who still has her back to him and the laptop) Luis: You alright? (After a second or two Lupe turns around, looking furious) Lupe: I want to punch that asshole right in the face (Luis nods, it’s a feeling he shares as well) Luis: Yes Lupe I know. In time my dear. Hopefully his opponent tonight does it for us (Yes tonight Diablo has a match in Palau. Thus why the video was posted. It was to promote the show but as you can see Diablo is still very much gloating over what he did to Victor Lupe is still feeling the anger running through her.) Lupe: I wish I could go see it in person but I have to work later tonight. How bout you Uncle Luis are you gonna go? (Luis thinks for a second but shakes his head) Luis: No, no I’m not. It’s best Don Pedro lays low for awhile. Make him really think he and Vengador are gone for good (Lupe now stats shaking her head) Lupe: But there not, they’re gonna be back and right up in his face and kicking his ass (Yeah Lupe is furious right now having to once again watch Diablo degrade her father. She now looks towards the door of the gym) Lupe: Where is Fernando at? He’s never late. We need to get to work already (Luis sits back in his chair and crosses his legs) Luis: He’s not coming today (Lupe snaps her head back around and looks at her Uncle confused) Lupe: Why not? Luis: Cause I felt we should take a break from the physical stuff and start learning in a different direction. (Lupe isn’t quite sure how to take this development) Lupe: So you think we’re on a good pace with the in-ring work? (Luis is now the one having trouble with the question just asked of him) Luis: What exactly do you mean by good pace? Lupe: Well I mean that I’m doing better than you thought I’d be. Yeah I had rough start with the bodyslam and pain and soreness but I’ve overcome that now. I think I’ve made some really good progress (Luis nods his head) Luis: Yes you have (Lupe now starts to smile) Lupe: So you think I’m doing good Luis: I think you’re doing good for a person who’s barely starting to grasp the fundamentals of wrestling. (Lupe’s smile vanishes now) Lupe: What does that mean? Luis: It means you’ve started off well for a rookie but nothing more. We got a long way to go Lupe (That’s not what Lupe wants to hear, especially after what she has just heard Diablo say. Her temper is starting to get the better of her) Lupe: Well than call Fernando and get him over here. If I’m a long way away as you put it we need to shorten it (Luis now looks at Lupe with annoyance) Luis: Is there a reason you’re so jumpy about getting in the ring? (Lupe now looks at her Uncle dumbfounded as she points at the laptop) Lupe: Hello! Did you not just hear what that jackass said about my dad? Luis nods his head..) Luis: Yes I did and it upsets me too but we’re not gonna go rushing into things because of it (Lupe is starting to become more exasperated by what she perceives as her Uncle’s lack of urgency) Lupe: So we’re just gonna let him get away with his crap longer. That’s real great Uncle Luis. Great plan ya got there (Luis gets up out of his chair but remains calm. He walks over to his niece and goes about explaining himself more) Luis: Lupe you know very well I want Diablo to get his. With that said as much as you think you’re doing well sweetie you are not ready to even think about getting in the ring with him. Not close whatsoever. I know you love your dad and you want to get some payback but you need to stop letting thinking that what we are doing is going to take time. (Deep down Lupe knows he’s right, but she looks at the frozen image of Diablo on the laptop and can’t help but feel angry) Lupe: Ok Uncle Luis I get it you don’t think I’m ready. You think you can tell me when you do think I’ll be ready (Luis can hear the sarcasm in Lupe’s voice but lets it slide. He thinks over the question she asked him and gives her his honest assessment) Luis: Well what you have learned so far and what you still have to learn. Take into account just who it is you’ll be fighting. I’d be comfortable with you getting into a ring after about training for a minimum of… (Luis gives it one last thought as Lupe waits. Luis then nods as if to confirm with himself..) Luis: Yeah a year of training should be about right (Lupe’s jaw nearly hits the floor after hearing this. She now frantically starts shaking her head) Lupe: NO! I mean no! You want me to wait a year to fight Diablo? Is something wrong with you? (Luis still remains calm even though his niece is about to erupt in front of him) Luis: It’s the truth Lupe. I know it’s tough to hear but I’m not gonna let you anywhere near him till you’re ready. Remember you’re not just training to be a wrestler, you are training to be El Vengador. That’s why we’re going to be doing a different type of training today. So please come back to the table and sit down so we can begin (Lupe begrudgingly makes her way back to the table and sits down, though she crosses her arms to show she’s still mad. Luis now starts messing around with the laptop and brings up another video. It’s an El Vengador match He now looks over at Lupe) Luis: Now what we’re doing today is tape study. We are going to watch your dad’s matches and I want you to observe everything he does. Not just the moves he performs but his movements, his posture. We can’t have you trying to imitate all of these things we need you to know these as if they were second nature to you. That is what we are striving for Lupe. That is what is going to take so long. (Luis now starts to play the video as both he and Lupe start to watch. It becomes clear quickly just how graceful Victor was in that ring as he dodges his opponents strike attempts. We then see Victor grab an opponent and try to whip them into the ropes but the opponent counters and sends Victor into the ropes instead. The opponent then bends over as Victor bounces off. This allows Victor to roll across the opponents back then springboard onto the middle rope The opponent then turns around as Victor then catches him with a kick right to the side of his face. Luis now leans over and talks to Lupe) Luis: Do you see it now Do you see what you have to work hard to attain? You are going to be just like you’re father out there and if you can’t then you will not go out there and make an embarrassment of El Vengador. That is why we are going to take our time and make sure we accomplish that. Do you understand what I am telling you now young lady? (Lupe as much as she hates to do it Lupe nods her head She keeps watching the match and does understand that she can’t pull off even a quarter of what her father is able to do. But in time..maybe she really can She lets out a sigh..) Lupe: I got the message crystal clear Uncle Luis. Ok fine maybe I do need to keep the ‘tude in check, but hearing him say those things it just… (Lupe clenches her fist and growls. Luis nods his head) Luis: Yes he is taunting us but you have to be patient. We’ll get him in time. Now I have something to ask you? Lupe: Ok (Luis looks at Lupe confused) Luis: ’tude? Lupe: Yeah. Attitude but just cooler sounding Luis: Who said it sounded cooler? (Lupe now gives her Uncle a wave of the hand) Lupe: Everybody says it nowadays. Luis: I haven’t heard people say that. (Lupe now starts to laugh) Lupe: Well you don’t exactly hang around a hip crowd Uncle Luis. Although I’ll give you credit I was surprised to see that you know how to use a laptop (Luis now actually looks happy about that comment as he smiles) Luis: Yeah your Uncle has a couple tricks up his sleeve. I got the brains and the gift of gab. Your brother got the looks.. (Lupe can’t help but chime in) Lupe: And the hair (Lupe chuckles hard after that comment but Luis doesn’t. No he just stares his niece down who keeps on laughing Soon Lupe notices the look Luis is giving her and slowly her laughter dies down…) Lupe:..sorry Uncle Luis (Luis just waves her off) Luis: It’s fine. Look you sit here and watch this match closely. I’m gonna go get some coffee and when I get back I’m going to quiz you on some things ok? Lupe: Alright (Luis gets up and takes his leave as Lupe focuses on watching the match at hand. In the background we see Luis walking away…and run his hand over the top of his bald head… The scene fades out…) Fiesta March 17, 2012 Mi Tierra 5:35pm Our scene has sifted to much later in the day as Lupe has gone from the warehouse to work here at Mi Tierra We see Lupe in the back prepping for the day. She’s all by herself at the time but that soon changes as gabby comes bouncing into the picture) Gabby: Hey girl, how you doing? (Lupe smiles upon seeing her friend enter the building) Lupe: Doing good. How bout you? (Gabby is grinning from ear to ear) Gabby: Just wonderful. Today is going to be a great day (Lupe chuckles at how good a mood Gabby is in) Lupe: And why is that? Gabby: Cause there is a wrestling show in town tonight. Mr. Diaz always attends and he ends up taking one of the waitresses to be his personal waitress. Guess which one he takes? (Lupe knows the answer but is confused by something..) Lupe: Ok he takes Yvonne and obviously that means she won’t be bugging you tonight but you don’t ever get mad that he doesn’t take you or one of the other girls? I mean it seems like an easy and fun night if you ask me (Gabby now moves her head back and forth) Gabby: Yes and no. I’m not really much of a wrestling fan so the show doesn’t intrigue me. Having an easy night would be cool but the fact that I get a night away from that bitch I’ll take it anyway I can get it. So as far as I’m concerned I wish they had a wrestling show here every night Gabby laughs and Lupe can’t help but laugh either) Lupe: Ok gotcha. Ya know I never took Mr. Diaz as a wrestling fan Gabby: Oh yeah he’s big time into it. For as long as I’ve been working here he’s always gone to’em when they’re in town. I think he goes and bets on them but that’s just me guessing Lupe nods her head. Soon Mr. Sandoval appears) Mr. Sandoval: Can I have everyone in the kitchen please? (All the staff start to enter the kitchen, including Yvonne who has a smile on her face) Mr. Sandoval: Ok everyone as you know tonight there is a wrestling show in tonight so we’re gonna get hit pretty hard. We’ve been through this all before so we know what to do. You also know Mr. Diaz will be attending the show and one of our waitresses will be serving him. He’s chosen you Yvonne to go with him (Yvonne now acts like she’s surprised by the choice as the rest of the staff side eye one another Mr. Sandoval continues on) Mr. Sandoval: Ok we’re ready to go tonight right people? The group responds with a “Yeah” Mr. Sandoval nods his head) Mr. Sandoval: Good. Let’s get to work (The group starts to disband as Yvonne now chats up Mr. Sandoval Lupe watches her and scoffs) Lupe: I’m sorry Gabby but it’s just not fair Gabby: Don’t sweat it babe. Relax. Say you know what how bout after work we go hit up a club tonight. (Lupe turns to her and immediately shakes her head) Lupe: Naw I’m not really a club kinda girl Gabby (Gabby won’t go down without fight) Gabby: Oh come on it’ll be fun. We need to let loose and have fun. You sad it yourself Yvonne gets to go out and have fun. So should we. (Lupe still isn’t sure this is a good idea. Gaby now grabs her arm and pleads with her) Gabby: Come on Lupe learn to live alittle girl. It’s just one night. I’ll be by your side the whole time. I promise (Lupe looks at gabby who is giving her the puppy dog look practically. ..) Lupe: Alright I’ll go but if I’m not feeling comfortable I’m out of there ok? Gabby: Perfectly fine but trust me you’re gonna have a blast. We’ll talk more about this later Gabby now takes off to get ready for the evening ahead leaving Lupe standing there by herself.. ..thinking what did she just put herself in…) 11: 26 pm (Our scene now opens up in the popular nightclub “Seduccion” There are many people in attendance, dancing, laughing, drinking. The mood is just fun and vibrant as some kind of Tejano electronica music is playing. There many beautiful women here but we soon spot the ones we were looking for as Lupe and Gabby make their way in. Gabby is wearing a purple dress and looks quite beautiful Lupe wears a black blouse with a red skirt. This was suppose to be her secretary out fit today and hey she actually gets to put it to use tonight. They pass through the club, garnering a couple looks from the men. Gabby smirks while Lupe seems more reserved in the surrounding. Yes she went to college and attended some parties but she was never one to get too crazy. They soon reach the bar area. Gabby looks around smiling til she finally looks at Lupe) Gaby: Hey girl smile. We’re at a club, not a funeral Lupe: I know I’m just not use to all this. It’s different for me Gabby: Yeah I can tell but tonight we’re gonna change all of that. We’re gonna get you tipsy, we’re gonna get you dancing, and if I have my way we’re gonna get you a man (Gabby now lets out a loud yell as Lupe can only nervously smile at her friend A bartender now approaches them with a smile on his face) Bartender: Good evening ladies and welcome to Seduccion. Can I get you anything (Gabby smiles at the attractive man..) Gabby: Yes we’ll take two sex on the beaches please. (The bartender gives her a nod of the head as he goes about making them their drinks. In the meantime Gabby starts looking around the place) Gabby: Hmm there’s some nice looking men around here girl. What you think? (Lupe does a quick glance around the place. She bobs her head from side to side) Lupe: Yeah they’re ok (Gabby now looks at Lupe with a blank expression) Gabby: Lupe do you need me to do it? (Lupe looks at Gabby confused…) Lupe: What do you mean? Gabby: I mean do you need me to take the stick that’s up your ass out so you can have some fun (Lupe’s eyes nearly bug out of her head hearing that. Gabby chuckles upon seeing her reaction) Gabby: I’m joking, kinda, look what I’m trying to say is don’t be so frigid. Just try to take in the moment, not be afraid of it (Lupe listens to Gabby’s words as now the bartender puts their drinks on the counter) Bartender: Here we go ladies two sex on the beaches (gabby smiles at the bartender again as she hands him a twenty) Gabby: Here you go. Keep the change as a tip Bartender: Oh well thank you. That’s very kind of you Gabby: I’m a very kind person once you get to know me Lupe feels awkward being in the middle of this flirting between Gabby and the bartender. So she sips her drink and tries to act like she’s not there.) Bartender: I’ll remember that Gabby: Please do. The bartender keeps smiling at Gabby as he goes to serve another patron of people. Gabby then looks at Lupe) Gabby: See it’s that easy Lupe nervously chuckles) Lupe: I’m not as confident as you are gabby. I can’t just flirt with a guy Gabby: What are you talking about. You’re a beautiful girl and it ain’t that hard to flirt with a guy. You practically just smile at’em and they’re puddy in your hand. Look watch (Gabby turns to her other side and taps a man on his shoulder. He turns around with a blank expression but once he sees the two ladies there he perks up some) Stranger: Hi there (Gabby turns back and gestures to the man as if her point has been proven. Gabby then turns back to the man and smiles) Gabby: Hey cutie I feel like dancing (The man now extends his hand out to gabby who takes it and they both head to the dance floor Lupe watches them hit the floor and start dancing. She wishes she could have the courage Gabby does but instead she stands there sipping her drink still She starts looking around the club when she spots a flat screen tv. Currently airing on it are highlights of the match Diablo had earlier tonight. Unfortunately to Lupe he won yet again Lupe shows her displeasure and then takes another sip from her drink The bartender now comes back to her and puts another Sex on the beach on the counter in front of her, leaving Lupe surprised) Lupe: Oh I’m sorry but I didn’t order another drink. (The bartender just smiles and nods his head in the direction behind her…) Bartender: It’s on him (Lupe now turns around to see who the bartender is motioning to. That’s when she sees a man sitting in a dimly lit booth... It’s Mr. Diaz He raises his glass as he smiles at Lupe Lupe isn’t sure what to do but eventually smiles back and raises her glass in the direction of Mr. Diaz She now turns around quickly.. “What are you doing? That’s your boss” Lupe looks back over in Mr. Diaz direction but he is no longer looking at her as he is now attending to his drink Lupe keeps staring at him till she gets touched on her shoulder, causing her to shriek) Gabby: Hey whoa calm down there grasshopper. (Lupe takes a deep breathe to calm herself down) Lupe: You scared me Gabby deadpans…) Gabby: I hadn’t noticed. What were you looking at? (Lupe surprised by the question posed to her.) Lupe: Huh? Gabby: I said what were you looking at? When I was walking over here I saw you looking over there. What was it? (Lupe’s first instinct is to lie about what she was looking at But this is gabby, she doesn’t want to lie to Gabby. She tussles with the choice as gabby keeps waiting there. Finally Lupe spits it out) Lupe: I saw Mr. Diaz was here. (She now turns and looks back in his direction. Gabby now turns and sees him for himself They keep watching him as now a woman joins him at the table, She’s got dark black hair and sure doesn’t look like Yvonne. Lupe’s eye grow wide) Lupe: Oh man he’s cheating on Yvonne? (This causes Gabby to laugh) Lupe: What’s so funny now? Gabby: Mr. Diaz isn’t exactly a one woman kind guy. The man is a dog and quite proud of it Lupe: And how would you know that? Gabby: I’ve seen him with plenty of other women in clubs before. (Lupe is taken back by the comment…) Lupe: You have? Gabby: Yeah. I mean I can understand why. He’s a good looking man and he’s charming. Hell I’d do him (Lupe’s jaw drops quickly as gabby chuckles) Gabby: Hey it’s the truth (Lupe just shakes her head) Lupe: You are too crazy Gabby. Do you think Yvonne knows? (Gabby now grins) Gabby: Nope and I can’t wait for the day she does find out. I’m sure princess will so heartbroken to find out she’s not as special as her ass thinks she is. Lupe can see Gabby does take great pleasure in that thought She can also see what Gabby means when she calls Mr. Diaz charming. They keep watching him for a few more moments till he gets up with the black haired woman and starts to leave the club) Gabby: Oh well guess that’s over with. Come on the guy I was dancing with? He’s got a friend? Lupe looks like she’s about to say something but gabby cuts her off) Gabby: Ah no you’re not squirming your way out of this. I’m right here with ya Lupe. (Lupe can see Gabby won’t let her get out of this so she nods her head) Lupe: Ok let’s go talk to them Gabby smiles again as she starts leading Lupe in the direction where the guys are Lupe can’t help for some reason though to look back in the direction where Mr. Diaz walked out of The scene fades out…) Mismanaging The Truth March 18th, 2012 1: 46 am Our scene now shifts to Lupe pulling into her family home driveway. She stayed out alittle bit longer then she thought she would. She only hopes her parents are fast asleep like they usually. Lupe tip toes to the front door and goes to put her key slowly into the lock. Before she can slide it in though the door opens up, startling her Standing before her is her mother Maria in her nightgown and robe as she is also holding a large knife in her hand. Lupe looks at her mother with a wide eyed look) Lupe: Mom it’s me. (Maria looks at her daughter with a confused look) Maria: Yeah I know. I saw you out the kitchen window. Why are you acting that way? (Lupe now points to the knife she is holding. Maria turns her head and realizes how she is holding it. Her face becomes filled with horror) Maria: Oh…oh…sorry honey (Maria puts it down and lets out an embarrassed chuckle) Maria: I was just slicing a piece of pie for myself. Come on and get inside (Maria reaches out and practically pulls Lupe into the house. Maria then closes the door behind her and starts heading back towards the kitchen She looks back over her shoulder at Lupe?) Maria: You want a piece of pie? (Lupe takes some deep breathes and follows her mom into the kitchen) Lupe: Um yeah sure Both women both make their way into the kitchen as Maria makes her way behind a kitchen island and starts slicing back into the Pecan pie she had on it She then points, with the knife, at Maria) Maria: Can you get me another plate from the cabinet behind you (Lupe is weary again with the knife being pointed at her) Lupe: Yeah no problem (Lupe quickly backs up and grabs the plate as her mother slices the pieces up and puts them on each plate) Lupe: Why are you up mom? Maria: Well I got worried when you called and told me you were staying out late. Couldn’t sleep cause of it so I stayed up. (Lupe shakes her head). Lupe: Mom you don’t have to worry. I’m twenty two remember? Grown woman? Maria nods her head) Maria: Yes I know but I’m a mother. You’ll understand when you are one day. (Lupe shrugs her shoulders) Lupe: Well that’s not happening anytime soon. I can’t even get a date. Maria: I find that hard to believe. You’re a beautiful girl Lupe. I’m sure there’s a couple guys at work you might be interested in (Lupe can’t believe she’s having this conversation with her mom. Although one guy from work does come into mind.. the same guy who bought her a drink earlier tonight Lupe then shakes her head to get that thought of her head…) Lupe: No, no one there that’s really my type (Maria chuckles) Maria: Well considering how protective your father is I’m sure he’s gald to hear that (That puts Lupe in a sour mood) Lupe: I don’t know mom that would actually mean he’d have to meet the guy. H e hasn’t exactly been Mr. Social lately. (Lupe knows instantly that was wrong of her to say but she is still upset with her father after the outburst he had at her As a matter of fact she hasn’t spoken to her father since he blew up at her about getting the made-up job. She wasn’t mad at the time but he has since yet to apologize to her That has rubbed her the wrong way but she still is going through with her training cause she knows then he’ll be happy again That’s her thinking atleast. Maria can hear the sarcasm in her daughter’s voice…) Maria: Lupe don’t do that. I know he still has not apologized to you for that incident but please for me don’t hate your father (Lupe shakes her head…) Lupe: I don’t hate him mom, but I didn’t do anything wrong to deserve to be talked to the way he did that day. I’m doing a good thing and he made it seem like I spit in his face or something. Maria: I know, I know but in fairness he really hasn’t had a chance to apologize. You’re hardly ever hear anymore. You’re working all day and even when you’re not you want to go see your Uncle. Maria looks at her daughter curiously) Maria: I’ve been meaning to ask you about that. Why do you go see Luis so much? Are you really that angry at your father that you don’t want to be here? (Lupe hadn’t thought of the reason for that. She plays it cool and decides to go along with it… Lupe: Yeah…Yeah I was. I just felt this tension and thought it be best to not be here Maria: Well what do you two do then? (“Drats” was the first thing to pass through Lupe’s mind upon hearing the question posed to her. The second was trying to figure out a good excuse It takes her awhile but it finally comes…) Lupe: You know stuff. We talk, we go out to eat. We watch movies. We’ll sit and watch wrestling… (Maria can not nor tries to hide her contempt for that…) Maria: Why would you want to watch that Lupe? It’s no good and a waste of time. Lupe for the sake of changing the subject nods her head) Lupe: I know mom but I guess old habits die hard. I’m sure we’ll stop watching soon enough (Maria nods her head) Maria: Good. That horrible business has hurt us to much. We’re not gonna contribute to it anymore (Lupe isn’t thrilled to hear here mother talk about wrestling like that, granted it’s not a surprise to her, but considering what she has planned?.. yeah not good Lupe keeps playing along with her mother) Lupe: Yeah I know. Look mom I’m tired so I think I’m just gonna go ahead and go to sleep already. Maria: Ok Lupe. I’ll see you in the morning (Lupe grimaces) Lupe: I work (Maria now looks disappointed) Maria: Oh well than I guess I’ll see you when I see you honey (Lupe nods her head and gives her mother a hug and a kiss on the cheek She now starts to make her way to her room and goes to pass her parents bedroom. She gives the door a glare as she passes by. She reaches her door but pauses before walking in. She looks back over her shoulder at her parents bedroom door and thinks of the man asleep in there at the moment. Lupe keeps staring before lowering her head and walking into her room. The scene fades to black) A Winter’s Tale (Our scene quickly opens up with a shot of Don Pedro, his hands cupped in front of him and looking right at the camera Behind him is El Vengador who slowly paces Don Pedro is slowly nodding his head towards the camera as he begins to speak) Don Pedro: Hola mi amigos. It is good to find you all here once again. War of the Roses has come and gone and you all saw what transpired. The SCW World Heavyweight title was mired in controversy. Whatever is going on with Ms. Wallace and her new manager has us concerned greatly. May that be resolved for her sake soon. The SCW World tag team title match may have been even worse as the titles were not even properly defended. (Don Pedro shakes his head as Vengador keeps pacing) Don Pedro: How one could attack there own partner is reprehensible (Don Pedro sighs as he seems downtrodden by what he has seen unfold…) Don Pedro: Where is the honor in this business today? Mr. Cherry has turned his back on the people that is well known but he and Shaun Cruze did win those titles fairly. The way a champion should lose them is by being beaten fairly. Not due to his own partner attacking him from behind (We can see Vengador shake his head from behind Don Pedro as he continues pacing) Don Pedro:{/b] War of the Roses was a disappointing night and yes that includes Vengador’s fatal fourway match. As you know Vengador was not able to leave with his arm raised in victory. The better man won that night in Merrick Wiseman. Yes Mr. Wiseman showed he was a very tough man that evening and certainly quieted any doubters who questioned his abilities in that ring With that said Mr. Wiseman allow me to take this time to bring it up the remark you made about not lecturing us on Vengador’s hypocrisy as you put it (Vengador keeps pacing as Don Pedro shakes his head again) Don Pedro: This is starting to become an alarming trend here in SCW, how so many we come across view Vengador as a hypocrite. Call us naïve or blind but simply do not understand the claims brought against us, especially by the likes of you Mr. Wiseman. We have made it clear on what our motives our, that has not changed one bit. Mr. Wiseman we viewed you as someone similar to us. Granted you go about your methods differently then us but it’s all for the same cause. We are on the same side Wiseman, whether you truly believe that or not. As for Vengador being a hypocrite.. you will see you were wrong in your observation (Vengador nods his head as he keeps pacing) Don Pedro: The fatal fourway may not have ended with Vengador being victorious but he did leave a mark with someone within that match. Matt Auclair are you starting to get the picture clearly now? Do you finally realize just what it is you’re going up against? Your power and mighty strikes leave a lasting blow that will be felt for days to come. That much Vengador has found out but what has happened everytime you have struck your fists to the body of Vengador? That’s right Auclair he keeps getting back up. He keeps getting back up cause he will never allow a man such as you to rule the day. You brought a furious anger with you to War of the Roses and Vengador felt every inch of the hatred you have inside of you for him. But he would not stay down Auclair. Just like he did not stay down when he suffered his injury in Mexico. (Don Pedro starts to get stern as he looks at the camera) Don Pedro: Yes we listened to the audio your acquaintance made public. We have never denied that there was a time Vengador was indisposed due to a cowardly act by a cowardly man. But like I said Auclair he would not let a man like that rule the day. Venagdor worked vigorously to get back in that ring and he did. And he showed that coward that the selfish never truly prosper. (Don Pedro’s glare is getting stronger as we can see Vengador clench both fists tightly in the background as his pacing back and forth continues…) Don Pedro: Vengador fights so those who don’t have can have a better life. If that is being a hypocrite in someway then so be it. He will live with the label cast upon him but he will not stop doing what he has been for over twenty years. And how dare your acquaintance Auclair suggest that the church Vengador donated his winnings from the battle royal not be deserving. Vengador and I know exactly who is deserving of such a gift and believe me sir that church was greatly deserving. I do not expect a man like you or your acquaintance to understand what deserving means though. No you Auclair believe you are deserving just cause you say you are. The world should be handed over to you on a silver platter. Will you have found out that Vengador will not allow you that wish. No he gave you one else with that plancha he landed at the conclusion of our match and it was YOU Auclair who was left laying on your back. We doubt this is the end of our story Auclair and when the next chapter begins to unfold you can believe Venagdor will be ready for anything you have to dish out. WE promise you that! (We can see Vengador in the background rolling his neck as his fists are still clenched…) Don Pedro: Auclair is a man we do not respect and we understand just how harsh of a statement that is. But he warrants it. There are others in SCW who we view in the same way but not all. There are some we still see in a positive light even if they have been critical of Venagdor during his time here in SCW. Most notably you Selena Frost There has been no one who comes close to being as critical of Vengador as you have. You have made it a constant in your time here to show the people that Vengador, just like Wiseman and Auclair before you, is nothing more then a hypocrite. But while you do such things we still see you in a positive light cause we feel you are misguided in your thoughts. We do not feel you are a bad person at your core. Do you wish for finer things? Yes you do but not just to have it, but to make a better living for you and your daughter. That’s why we see you in that positive light Another reason is the fight you put up when you step into that ring Selena. You have made it known you are practically learning as you go but you have shown great resolve. You have shown heart. This business is not easy to get into and prosper but you young lady have the ability to do that and now you and Vengador both have a tremendous opportunity in front of you. (Vengador finally stops pacing and stands behind Don Pedro His fists are still clenched as he looks towards the cameras) Don Pedro: This trios tournament is a very big deal to everyone in SCW Selena. As it has played out both you and him both have the chance to make it on a team. If you were to beat Vengador and your team went on to win you have the chance to capture a SCW World heavyweight title shot. It’s something many within this company hope for on a daily basis and you now have it staring you right in the face. The rookie newcomer possibly winning and garnering the attention and wealth that comes with it. This match at Breakdown between you and Vengador also affords you the opportunity to right a wrong in your eyes. You claim Venagdor won cause of his attire and armor in the battle royal. Well Selena this time we finally settle that debate. There will be no more questions after this. You, just like you did at the battle royal and on Aggression, will get the very best Vengador has to offer. You will see clearly that the previous outcome was not decided by attire. Don Pedro now pauses as he starts to think. He slowly rubs his chin then bobs his finger at the camera Don Pedro: And that right there is truly what started all of this isn’t it Selena? You have made your claims against us but what happened in the battle royal is what has stuck in your crawl the most. You could not handle losing and you did it in the most immature way possible. You got beat by Vengador because of what he was wearing? That is truly what you stuck by this entire time. It wasn’t due to his skills but by what he wore in that ring that beat you? (Don Pedro chuckles..) Don Pedro: You really have a lot more growing up to do young lady. Last time Vengador had match on Breakdown he suffered a defeat at the hands pf Soopaman Luva. And how did we react? By standing here and telling the world that the better man won that day? Why did we say it? Cause it was true. Mr. Soopaman was the better ma that day and deserved his victory. We did not lose to him cause of the clothing he wore that day. That is called owning up and being gracious in defeat. Come Breakdown it will not be clothing who decides the victor Selena. No it will be decided by two wrestlers competing their hearts out and the better one will be victorious. That is what this match will be about and there will hopefully be a clear and decisive winner. If it is you we will stand here again and give you your due and be honest in it.. We can only hope that ill-mannered oaf does not involve himself again but that’s just hope. (Don Pedro is getting animated but stops bobbing his finger. He holds it up in the air now…) Don Pedro: One thing that is for certain is this issue between us will end hopefully Selena cause as we have told you before we are not your enemies here. We are your supporters. We know when we look into your eyes Wednesday night that we will see a determined woman ready to show the world that she can do this. That she wants make them all believe in her… (Vengador now steps out from behind Don Pedro and starts approaching the camera slowly. He stands there and takes up the entire shot. He stands there with fists clenched as we hear Don Pedro’s voice again…) Don Pedro: But Vengador also has plans of his own young lady. He wants to put to rest the slander that has brought upon his name. He wants to show everyone that the claims you made about his victory are false. Vengador does not need or would want any unfair advantage in a match. Wednesday night is about finality Selena and that is what shall come to past. For Wednesday night once and for all you will believe in El Vengador (Vengador continues looking at the camera when suddenly his hand reaches out and grabs the camera, shrouding it in darkness…) |

I'm sorry for the crazy code mixup in my first roleplay. I'm not sure what happened. Here is the second. I'm sorry, I didn't have time to read Vengador's roleplay before posting this one. Thank you everyone for the feedback. Hope you enjoy. The Land of Make Believe What Will it Take to What? She asks the same question in constant repetition. The question whose answer has alluded her time and time again. "What will it take?" But perhaps it is not of the question but rather: the "it" that the Ice Queen ponders As she strums her fingers along the frozen walls of her castle in the land of make believe. Perhaps it is more accurate, she believes, to refine the question: "What will it take to what?" To what. To what. What is what? What is the goal. What is the objective. What is the dream. But what is the goal? The objective? The dream? They are all the "what". The goal, the queen knows, is for others to believe. Believe in her. How often has the sounds of the "other" world lacked her name? How often has "the voice of SCW" refused to acknowledge her very existence, Content to run his "Letter-Show" about the "drama" that matters to him? Not even nearly winning the battle royale was enough to have her matches mentioned. What will it take for SCW to believe in Selena Frost? "To matter" is the objective. When you are an outcast from your world When you are abandoned by your family members. When you are the outcast and never completely sure why: How much does one desire to matter? To exist? To know they are worth something. Despite her faith in herself, there have been no words to the Alaskan Dragon of her worth. No statements of her existence. Rather, despite her matches, her greatest contribution to the most recent show was a single flashback. A footnote of being "dismissed". What will it take to matter? The dream: Is it surprising that Selena has yet to have a dream beyond her castle of ice? In fact, in dark and void does she usually sleep. Dreams bring back memories. Dreams haunt her. The father that never returned. The mother that betrayed. The friend who cheated. The lover who abandoned. The Queen, herself, dreamed of opportunity Yet she must jump through three times as many obstacles to achieve an iota as the others. She dreamed of money, yet her pay is a third of what "the others" are earning. And she dreamed of a family, which was taken by the coldest hand of all. Fate: Fate is her enemy. Fate found it laughable to give direct her back into the ring Against the same enemy she has fought now twice. The first, her inexperience did so cost her. The second, victory could not be taken from her form, the match itself never decided. Yet, somehow, through "the gods of luck and chance", or so the tale would have us beleived, The Queen shall seek a third, and final, round with El Vengador. Yet Fate has been cruel not only to her, she knows, but to her opponent. For he, too, must endure a third round against the Snow Queen. But alas, this is where the art of words and poetry must be directed to one. To you, El Vengador. We, the true believers, speak to you. We ask you: is your awareness of what will transpire clear? Or is your, perhaps to be polite, "cultural ignorance" debilitating you from comprehending. Fate has been cruel to your mistress, but it has been far worse to you. For you, El Vengador, we, the true believers, have a few that believe in your story. Though the queen is not one of them, there are some that believe in your purpose. The hero saving the poor. A Robin Hood of our times. Yet, it is your honesty, or rather, your manager's promise that you would not do anything- Anything to cast doubt on your "wholesome" image. Surely, you understand that your manager has set you up in this, El Vengador. All his replies to Selena Frost, the never-ending contradicting. Why, even now, it is our belief that he is writing a response right now. Something to read to the camera to refute our queen's words. You see, El Vengador, Don Pedro will not reveal this belief to you. This truth. But we shall. For the sake of the few "believers" you have. You are in a match that you cannot win, Vengador. You see, across from you, waiting for this match's inevitable outcome: Your future "teammates" Autumn Valentine: Friend and associate of hated woman "Ravyn Taylor" and "Syren". William Mason: a fiend most of his career and despised by most of SCW. How many times have you discussed your displeasure, nay, your hatred for Pinnacle? For Coalition? For Perfect World? These are things you have sworn to fight. These are people that you have stated you are prepared to take down in your "quest". Yet, should you prevail and keep our Queen in the shadows, what then? You will fight ALONGSIDE these two people. Against the very wrestlers you have slandered, villified, and persecuted with your words. But how could El Vengador, this "hero and savior", do such a thing as team with villains? What would Don Pedro think? What would your family think? What would your country think? To have their hero aligned with such characters? Are you prepared to sacrifice their belief in you, Vengador? For an opportunity you are not ready for? For you are not. If you were, you would not be in this situation. You would have found another way, if you truly were ready. Instead, you are faced with a choice. Either you team with William Mason and Autumn Valentine and reveal that our Queen was right. About you and all your lies and "speeches" of heroism. Reveal that, when true belief in something is tested, you merely believe in yourself. There is no shame in it. Your shame comes from our queen seeing through your disguise so quickly. The second option, El Vengador, would be for Selena to be the one to handle the Trios Tournament. You must confess that she is a far more versatile wrestle there. Truly, you noticed how she has, For the better part of her time here, the survivor's instinct. Surely, you've noticed her talent and ability, listening to it slowly improve and grow with each match. If she is to prevail over you, this would be the proving grounds that the Snow Queen needs. To break free of the invisible and be believed in, as she deserves to be. Unfortunately, this would take you out of the opportunity of a career. So, you see, El Vengador, we believe that you have a choice. Either accept your shortcomings and expose yourself as clown, a trickster and a fool. Or prove her wrong and simply choose the moral high-ground. Either accept that you are greedy and no hero and you desire the Trios briefcase like all those you despise. Or walk away from it. Save your name and the people's "good opinion" of you. Or forsake them as the queen predicted you would. It matters little to us, Vengador. In the end, The Snow Queen Selena Frost will be the winner and part of the winning team of Trios. She will win her briefcase and gain her career-making chance. That, Vengador, is what it will take bring The Queen to her rightful throne. And bring an eternal winter to Supreme Championship Wrestling. In fact, all the white in the room reminded her of a padded cell- "Swell!" Her mind jumped in thought, "I'm finally in the looney bin." However, the thought was soon proven premature as the previous events of the last few days returned to her. She had spent 24 hours awake. Not easy when you're exhausted from wrestling a stupid bear. Kept awake with no food and- her stomach growled as she thought of that, as if in reminder to her- and finally she had been able to rest. According to the clock on the nightstand, which read 1:23pm, it had been some rest. Suddenly, Frost's ears picked up the sound of movement in another room. Apartment! She was in the apartment she had rented for this week's SCW show! And the noise- The noise... She remembered. Her mother. She was still here then. The very thought caused the young woman's jaw muscles to tighten. Throwing the covers off, she was surprised to see her in a light-blue nightgown. Had she thrown this on last night? She could not recall. Quickly tying her hair back and into a ponytail, leaving a few bangs by the side, her feet were on the move, shuffling across the floors till she stood in the built-in kitchen. True to form, she recognized her mother's figure standing there. "You're still here?" Her voice must have scared the older woman, for Anastasia jumped back in surprise, holding her head over her heart. Her attire of beige and burgundy was so odd to Selena's eyes, but she didn't mention it. The sooner her mother left her to her own devices, like always, the better off she would be. "Yes. Did you rest well? I was just making some lunch-" "No, thank you. I have to get going back, so you better make sure you-" "You're leaving? Sweetie, you just had a concussion-" Oh, how Selena hated to be called that. Sweetie. "I'm fine. I did what the doctor said and now I'm going back home." "He said you needed rest-" "I'll get it at home." "Which is what? Nome?" "Well, one of us had to stay there. Keep looking." "Selena-" "What?" Her mother was silent for a moment before pulling out a red cooler from the nearby fridge, Selena's eyes growing wide as her mother opened it. "What is this?" she asked in aggravation, bringing out the small form of white. "Put her back!" Selena barked. "Is this what you-" "I said put her back! She's MY daughter-" "Selena! It's not-" "PUT HER BACK!" The silence hung in the air before Anatasia placed Anna back into her red box, closing the lid tightly before placing it back into the fridge. With her hands on her hips, Anya turned back to regard her daughter. "Are you still taking the medication-" "No." "Why not?" "I don't need pills, alright? I never wanted them." "The doctor said-" "Oh, you mean 'your' doctor? The whole you fucked behind dad's back? That same doctor?" "Don't use-" "Cause really, mom. The only reason I took those pills was to get you to leave the house." "How can you say that?!" "Like this: I took the pills so you would get out of the house that Dad left to me. The one you refused to leave till I was 'capable of living on my own'." "They seemed to do you some good." "Yes, except for that little side-effect, remember?" "Selena, that wasn't because of the pills-" "Bullshit!" Selena roared. "No! The doctor said it was because of the stress and your-" "Fuck-Doctor. I don't care what your fuck-doctor has to say! He'd have said anything to get you on his damn operating table." Selena sneered. "The drugs you gave me did it! End of story!" "You need to let this go! For your own sake!" "Oh really. Sure thing, mom. My own mother sleeps around behind dad's back, gets the doctor to give me some drugs to 'help me' with my pregnancy, but wouldn't you know it, the pills almost cost me Anna!" "Wha-" Anya seemed to stop herself, which slightly confused Selena. Nevertheless, the older woman continued. "I didn't 'sleep behind your father's back'. He had been gone for ten long years-" "Apparently that's the cut-off date for guilt?" "He would have wanted us to move on-" "Yeah, and what better way to do that than put on the same wedding dress, go to the same church on the same fucking day as your anniversary to father would have been." "I was respecting your father-" "You were spitting in his face for everything he did-" "Never!" "What are you even doing here? How did you even find me?" "Nick said one of his friends saw you. You used your name." "His last name. Yeah. Better than Reigns." Anastasia's eyes locked onto Selena's, the daughter's reference to Anya's maiden-name not going unnoticed. "I want you to come move in with Nick and I." "No." "Selena, think about it, please. We can spend more time together and you can go where ever you want." "No, thank you." Her mother implored. "I need you to think about it. Nick and I can take care of you. He cooks now." she mused. "He's always trying something. Last week he did a beautiful set of veggie-burgers." "What are you talking about?" Selena asked, her eyebrows knitted and showing all the confusion in her head. "Just think about staying with us. Nick would like that." "I'm sure he would. Free check-ups." Selena began, her eyes cast down onto the floor, as well as her feet. "I don't suppose that this has anything to do with having a lot of Nick's doctor friends on standby-" "No!" Anya declared, but Selena was far from finished. "-so that they could all take a look at your little 'crazy' daughter?" "No." "Don't lie to me, mother! I'm smarter than you!" A pause was all the peace Selena received. "There are people." Anya said, "That are interested in meeting you. They say-" "Oh my god!" Selena could barely comprehend the words after the previous set. Looney bin, alone, no one... "-and they're willing to work around your schedule! They would take care of your wants and needs and then teach-" "Fuck you!" Selena snapped, marching up to her room and slamming the door behind her, locking it for additional security. She didn't say a word as she lay on the bed. Didn't say a word when she heard her mother knock on the door, telling Selena that she was leaving. Didn't say a word an hour after that. She merely lie in the bed. Had she meant those words to her mother? Despite her best efforts to try and be kind to her own family, her mind, or perhaps her heart, refused to surrender the anger and pain it held. Her mother had made so many mistakes, but for what she had done to the memory of her father. And the pills- How long would it be before she found a way to lock Selena away into a "mental-health institute"? Quickly, for reasons she was still unsure of, her fingers pulled out her laptop, grateful she still had it. Opening it and accessing the phone line, she quickly dialed the number she still had in her cellphone, though why she had no idea. She needed someone to get her home. And as much as the thought revulsed her, it was better than seating her... "Hello?" came the voice. "Hey, Gavin. It's Selena Frost..." she hated the idea already. Gavin would get the wrong impression and she'd have to deal with it. Fuck, she'd probably have to apologize to him over their last conversation just to get him off her case for this. Still, choices were not her friend anymore than Gavin was. "I need you to do me a favor...please..." It would take some time before Selena would realize how truly right she had been. __________________________________ Royal Letter Dear William Mason and Autumn Valentine, I will not pretend that you will know who I am or what I intend to bring to you, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Selena Michelle Frost and I am one of the prospective teammates that will be chosen for your Trios Tournament team this coming Breakdown. I shall be fighting El Vengador for a third time and the winner, by ruling of SCW and its board, will be appointed to your team. The reason I've chosen to contact you two is because, unlike El Vengador and Don Pedro, I am not looking ahead to the Trios Tournament yet. You see, in my experience, I've noticed two major issues with the two beings that I will be running into this Breakdown. First: El Vengador is a very simple wrestler who has a fault in stamina and impaired vision due to his mask/uniform of fabric and cheap metal and plastic. Second: Don Pedro is very arrogant, showboating his client's talents without considering the facts. He believes that El Vengador is this unconquerable mountain, this giant of a man and a savior of some kind. Now, Mr. Mason and Ms. Valentine, can you really tell me that such mentality, such arrogance, does not rub off on the client? The two men I shall be opposite to are arrogant to the point that even now, they hide away, saying little and thinking less. As far as they are concerned, I am not a threat to them. I am not a person that will cost them anything. They've beaten me in the rumble at the End of the Year and that was enough. And it just might be for El Vengador. But I put it to you: Will it be enough for you? I mean, surely you've noticed your prospective opponents. Don't tell me you haven't been thrown off by possible pairings like Ravyn Taylor and Thomas Watson. Or perhaps Jake Starr and Syren? Are you prepared for teams like that? Because I highly doubt either of you is doubt the talent of the other. You, Mr. Mason, until recently were the Adrenaline champion and you, Ms. Valentine, are the Women's Champion of SCW. So clearly, this pairing has potential, but is it prepared for teams like this potential double-dose of "world heavyweight champions"? Let us not forget that Syren had won the Trios Tournament before, multiple times, unless I am mistaken. Are you two ready for that? I implore you both to understand that your answer is affected one way or the other. If you are prepared for this team and are prepared to win the tournament, then do you really want someone like El Vengador on your team? A man that has publically insulted not only you, Mr. Mason, but every high stable in this federation, from the Coalition to Pinnacle. Friends of yours, Ms. Valentine, have been insulted by his manager, Mr. Pedro, on numerous occassions. I, myself, have been labelled by his hypocrisy. If you believe your "team" already has the talent to win this tournament, can you trust such a teammate who admittedly wishes to "do away with the evil-doers", administering his own brand of "justice" to his skewd perceptions? Surely, you must see that you would be slicing your own throats upon, leaving blood for the sharks to take your glory. And if you believe you are not ready and your team requires a choice made carefully, then it is doubly important you understand this. At what point, Mr. Mason and Ms. Valentine, do you think El Vengador will give you his all? You see, the pair of you, he will see as "evildoers" and begrudgingly side with you for his own self glory. Granted it proves a number of truths I have stated about him, but to put it simply, you would be wrestling as a team with only 2.5 wrestlers. He will grant you only a half-assed attempt at this greatness. Why am I stating all this? Because unlike Mr. Vengador, I know that the choice will ultimately fall on the two of you. The two of you can, and probably will, play a very strong hand in this. In fact, I would go as far as to say that you may ultimately decide the winner and your teammate this very Breakdown. Do you want to risk this opportunity on a man that won't trust you or have your best interests at heart? Or would you rather have a person that does not care what "side" she is on? Good? Evil? A wise man once told me that such things are subjective. If the ends justify the means, than the means will justify the ends. Not exactly all there but it is an interesting concept. You have your ends. You, Mr. Mason, desiring a possible redemption? Retrieving your lost title? Or maybe the World Title in the near future? And you, Ms. Valentine, why does someone like Kelsey Wallace and Regan Street get picked over you? Why can't it be a seasong of Autumn? And what goes better with Autumn than the Frost of Winter? You see, I believe in the two of you. In your dreams and your talent and I want to make those dreams happen. I don't care about "fighting evil" or these stupid "stable wars" or "vendettas". What matters to me, my friends, is power and opportunity. And in this case, it is the greatest thing I can attain. Unlike the pair of you, I am a ghost here. I am not mentioned and SCW refuses to promote my name, demanding I change it or not use "Frost". It's my legal name so they can do nothing except bury me. I don't want to be buried anymore. I want to rise and be part of something powerful. I want to fight and take on the damn world and laugh as I win. I want to hold this power over the heads of the people that refused to believe in me and ask them "Do you believe in me now?!". I am the one you want on your team because I am not interested in starting anything with any of you. Of using any of you. I want to win and I don't care how WE do it, so long as we win. I will leave the choice in your hands. Ultimately, our three careers may very well be changed based on what you choose. I implore you to believe in all I've said and all I've promised you. Believe in that. And believe in me. Sincerely yours, The Snow Queen |
