So, if there is one thing I have a lot of not being to work or go to school currently it is time. What I have been trying to do lately is deciding what to do with all of this time. What I came up with is an idea to (hopefully) remind everyone of just how much fun that this board can be, and maybe just how fun the people here can be to since I heard moral is down. I even start us off too. The subject the tonight is easy. Remember your first foray into the e-fedding world. Who was your first character? What inspired you to become involved? What did you hope to accomplish? For me it was easy, my first character was Simon Lyman and I was Inspired to become involved by the fact that I was 17 and I wanted to become a pro wrestler. Simon Lyman was my actual name in indies. I started e-fedding as a way to work on my promos, because in the beginning I was bad. How bad? Lets just say Simon was originally a Ric Flair wannabe lol. Time flies when you are having fun (and thankfully I became a little better at those promos) Anyway, enough about me, who is next? |

I got involved because I loved wrestling. My first character had a very lame name: Wolf. Eventually I changed his entire name and persona: Steve Powers. I completed in a fed named No Limits Championship Wrestling. Angelica Jones was my second character. |

I stumbled upon the SWA back in 2000. I never knew anything about efedding but it looked cool so I tried it out because like Matt I loved wrestling too. My promos sucked, my rp's were lame but I had fun. My first character was the Religious Zealot, Judas Strohm. He was fun, I was able to dig deep into darkness. Alexander van Warrington III, Donovan and Trinity Street followed, the rest was history.... |

First time I heard about efedding was from my cousin. I have no idea what it was like, he just told me he had a tag team, New Age Hastings Matt (him) and Wes (me). He emailed me a match or something I don't remember. Not even sure he played it the same way, but he's too cool to play this. The Stupid Idiot. |

I was bored. Was on WWE's chat thingy back in 2003 when the White Canadian Kid sent me a DM. Soul Hunter in that fed had me join SCW like a week later. I remember when roleplays were two paragraphs of smack. The fucking glory days. |

Believe it or not, I started doing this at around 12 years old. Considering I'll be 26 next month, that's about just over 14 years of playing this game on and off... Jesus, where did the time go, and why is this game so addictive? Being a huge wrestling fan, I was immediately sucked into this idea when I came across a forum (and made one myself not too long afterwards to try it for myself) that was one of those e-fed concepts that had you pick an actual wrestler and then constantly talk smack with someone else's wrestler. I really had no idea what I was doing then, but it was still fun to me to just sit at my computer and pretend to be Brock Lesnar or Undertaker or... I think I took up the role of The Hurricane at one point in time for whatever reason. Thirteen was my first original character once I discovered where the real e-fedding was. Going into becoming a teenager I had some surprisingly dark thoughts (which, as I've recently found out after helping my youngest brother to deal with them, seems to be some sort of sadly bizarre family trait) and to keep from acting on any of them, Thirteen became my outlet. But back then, he had no elaborate backstory involving abusive parents or being separated from his sister through adoption (or a sister at all, for that matter), he was just a random dark/goth character who hung out in graveyards and served as a way for me to just get all those thoughts out of my head in a way that made sense coming from the character as opposed to leaving my mouth at any point in time. As an interesting note: his famed Last Breath rear naked choke wasn't even in my original movelist for him. His original finishers were essentially a Batista Bomb and an F-5, which made no sense for a guy his size but that was my WWE fan mindset calling the shots. That fed's head honcho Rich (my fellow VWA guys and girls will know that name quite well) actually had him win his debut match using the rear naked choke to take advantage of a throat injury suffered by his opponent in a War Games Match at the PPV that preceded that show, rendering him unconscious for the debut win. From that point on, the move stuck, and allowed me to build up its reputation over the years into how I wanted it to be used here in SCW. |

It's funny thinking back on it. So many still in SCW are all from that core. I missed like the first six months of SCW's initial run. Cid, Kai, G, Jason, James(Nitro, Toreno), Hayden was there too if I remember right. I remember my first ever RTG was Chad vs Chris Renegade, who later became Savior. That was 2005 I believe. You had Ash, Steve, Therese, Mark and basically half of Canada who all grew up with or Knew Olek. The Foxxs, Josh came in. I think Josh's first match was a triple threat with Josh Hudson(Then Josh Lesnar), Chad and Mono Loco or Lightning. Greg, The Mercenaries, Nick, Miller, later on Adam. Lenne, D and many others came in. There was Orion The Scar, Mono Loco, Element, Mayhem. They were there to start too. Courtney, God I can't remember everyone just yet. There were so many who have come and gone, stayed. When I came in I was just a complete rip off of an even less mature Chris Jericho. Sean, Wes and Mooga all came in after an old fed closed we were all apart of. 2008-2009 was like some sort of European invasion. X-Net, the people that came in from there early on. Nate Static. No clue where Nathan Kaye came from, he was great though. Brian Kinney. There was always so much trolling and arguing, it's a wonder Mark, Cid and myself ever made it. The drama with Sid. It was just fucking terrible and yet hilarious to reflect on. Chris and James, Dave. I was always in and out, it's a wonder I can honestly remember half of what I do. I came in as a wrestling fan, have grown almost entirely out of wrestling but this is still a home, a place to come and have fun. Looking back over the evolution of the fed, how much the people have all grown, Olek too. The shows were nothing compared to what they are now. They were still great even for it's time though. Through all the silliness and pettiness this has always been the only place I tend to go online. I've spent years offline when I wasn't rping, just didn't care. It's still amazing just reflecting over the last thirteen years here, all of the people who have come and gone and made it what it is. |

First character was Amy, almost 12 years ago. Technically I created her before that, just didn't join the fed til January. Inspiration? Don't remember, lol. I just knew I wanted to use Melissa Archer for her pic base because she was my favorite actress on the soap she was on at the time, One Life to Live. How'd I get started? It's a convoluted story. On this wrestling forum I used to post on called PW, we played this prediction game for every WWE PPV. It just started as bitch bets, then it was for forum dollars, then people started writing short promos. Winners were based on who had the correct predictions for the PPV matches. Some of the people I met there playing that game are still my friends, and a lot of them got into fedding from it. One of my friends from that board - she didn't play the prediction game, but knew about it cause she was a mod - told me it looked a lot like a game she played, and she and one of the prediction guys badgered me for like 2 months til I created Amy and joined her fed, lol. 3 months later I was running it. Go figure. Some of those prediction guys are still around, you know them as Diana Weston (Jesse) and William Hush (Jamie). |

Think I stumbled into the game through yahoo chat rooms back when I was 11 or 12. I'd never heard of feds until I saw someone pimping the link to theirs in one of those chatrooms and that was it! My first character was fucking awful; it was a complete ripoff of the KISS Demon, think he was just called Demon too! haha. Was a huge KISS fan when I was younger and WCW were doing that whole KISS angle and I lapped that shit up. I lasted about six months before I created Helms and the rest is a very long and painful history! haha. Helms was basically a mix between DDP and Mick Foley; take DDP's attitude and mannerisms and even throw in his "BANG" and the Self High Five and give him Foley's ability to do just stupid shit in matches and you've got what I was aiming for. Those two are two of my all time favourite wrestlers, and I think it shows heavily when you look at Helms as a character. |

Back in 1997 when I was in high school. The reason I became part of this wild and crazy world is because I love to write. I wrote poems, rap songs, the whole gambit so I figured, why not. I wrote a few stories for class, e-fedding represented another avenue. My first character was one of my rap alias at the time, KILO (an acronym that stood for Killer Intellectual Lyrical Obscenity). I wasn't looking to accomplish anymore more then to write, to use the format to explore my creativity and burn a little time. I have always been introverted, hanging with people has never really been my thing. In a sense, e-fedding has been a means to connect with people without actually hanging with people. I'd rather write then go to a club or many common social events. I will go. I'm not a hermit or anything, lol. I enjoy going to wrestling events, I saw a Joel Osteen event this year, on occasion I do hang out with the friends I do have. I'm as introverted as they come. E-fedding is a nice medium to write and talk to some cool people. |

I joined e-fedding back in the summer of 2003 for a fed called TNW. I met Chris Lawler there. I was Josh Lesnar, due to my obsession with Brock Lesnar at the time. I sucked, but then again, the fed wasn't that great. People would just write their characters coming out to the ring and cutting a promo. I would typically have my guy come out, interrupt them and it would lead to a brawl. I was hated there for some odd reason haha. I eventually joined JWF then WWA before finally coming here to the SCW. I had my first match against Olek in JWF, with my rapping version of Josh Lesnar where he kicked my ass, which started a feud of sorts between CHBK and Josh. I lost a lot of my matches because I didn't get the idea of character development and story. I was just into trash talking people and leaving it at that. Being in the SCW pushed me to become a better writer, as the game was always elevated. It has been painful and frustrating at times, but rewarding in its own right. I have always been pretty quiet on the boards up until the last two years or so. I tried to stay away and avoid the drama Doug mentioned earlier. Drama and ego ruin this game, at least that is what I have always felt. But even my ego has been my own worst enemy. I pride myself on my writing, probably more than I should at times, but I also enjoy coming up with ideas and arcs for my characters. I have tried to go elsewhere to see those ideas and arcs through, but SCW is my home and to me, it is the end all - be all when it comes to e-fedding. It has been where I've matured as a writer, starting off as Josh Lesnar and bringing in Wez Goldberg, Mad J and Psycho Hood. I had no idea what I was doing but hey, I had ideas. I brought in Jakob and Jasyn Sparxxx as well as Saber. I had ideas like I said, but they kinda sucked or I just didn't have any long term plans for them. Bringing in Asher Hayes really shaped me I believe, before I brought back Hudson, which is where I feel I really came into my own. It has always been a love for wrestling and writing that has brought me back, as well as Doug and Kris for pushing me to come back a few years ago which led to the creation of James Evans. So what began simply as a love for seeing Brock Lesnar annihilate everyone before him back in 2002 and 2003, transformed into the rediscovery of my love for writing. It also led me to getting to know some of you, which is another reason why I always get pulled back in. I should probably stop talking to those people so that the temptation isn't as strong. |

In summer 1998, I was 14-going-on-15 and my brother came home from University, prompting my first regular exposure to the internet in general. As an avid wrestling fan for my entire life (we used to rent (remember renting?) WrestleMania tapes (remember tapes?) from the video store (remember video stores?) while Mom worked in tobacco and Dad was on shutdown), I looked up wrestling THINGS. Nothing specific... just things. I stumbled into e-wrestling from there, finding the WWWWF (World Wide Web Wrestling Federation) and it's sister fed WWWCW (World Wide Web Championship Wrestling). I joined the former with a generic big man - the 7'1" Ravage. He was solid, if unspectacular. From there, my roster grew over the next 3 years, but my writing didn't really improve. I hit a low when a fedhead was shutting down and told three specific people to continue in the game: I wasn't one of them. I was actually told afterwards I should never write again. Then I found Shootclub. Shortly thereafter, I was introduced to SCW (and Olek) by Trevor (Canadian Bad Ass). The rest, as they say, is history. Tell me I should never write again. Pfft! |

Can I kill you then Kris? Or do I have to let Nicole do it first? ![]() I started in 2003, when I joined two feds. One was Jase The Ace's and the other was with completely different people, which none of you know anyways. :ph43r: Since then, I was pulled here into SCW. Here is the list of the characters I've used: - Jay Gold - Martha Gold - Sarah Punche (Justin Davis would mark  ) - Colby Proof (mostly a misogynistic epic fail) - Stacy Kissinger - Therapeutica Smiley (only used once for a match, but might do more) I also remember everything Doug talked about... lol nub spek tbh <_< (n00b speak for those that speak English). 13 1/2 years though... uhhhhh.... Where has the time gone?

My first fedding experience was either in 97 or 98, and I initially was Val Venis. I actually stumbled across this game by complete accident. I was in a Yahoo Chat (RIP) room, and we were all talking wrestling. Someone goes "hey anyone wanna join a fed" and I was like "WTF is that?" Next thing I know I'm smack talking as Val Venis and HHH. It took several years before I started to try and develop my own character. Took even more years until I came up with one I actually liked. What's ironic is every iteration of a character I built lent some hand in the creation of my "Jake Starr" persona in broadcasting, then was much easier to translate into the e-fed world. |

All started with the character that Konrad's married to Fizz known as The Fizz to the wrestling world. She started working in FWF back in 2005 after a forum chat about wrestling since it was a wrestling school forum and he PMed me a link to try out fedding and I did by creating The Fizz who pretty much was a female version of Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Sandman, except it was coke which later turned to energy drinks. Won every single title to her name apart from the tag team titles and I stopped playing her because I just didn't have anymore ideas what to do with her and has retired from wrestling for good. She doesn't ever plan to come back because at the time she was wrestling in 2011, Konrad took an interest in the sport and he gotten so popular that she wanted to retire because she didn't want to overtake Konrad's spotlight and wanted him to make a name for himself in wrestling and retired in 2012. After her retirement, she wanted to be an MMA fighter and she is going to after the baby is born, she will continue her path to become an MMA fighter and possibily become champion as well. Of course Konrad fully supports her and I will add this stuff in nearer the time in my RP's on her own goals and dreams of being an MMA fighter from being a wrestler. |
