Hey, guys. Apologies for how I faded away some months back, genuinely wasn't feeling it at all and now I've spent close to 5 months away from fedding....

Well, I don't miss it but I'm trying to improve on a few things (currently working with Pixlr to finally make those graphics I've always wanted to for 15 years or so and I'm slowly working my way around Source Filmmaker, too).

Anyway, so I made up this quick Jynkz banner earlier, only took around 15 minutes but wondered what both the graphic experts and anyone else thought. Looks a bit basic, I know, still sort of working my way through everything.

Thanks for your time, guys.

Not the prettiest yet naturally, although I love it in terms of I know what you're going for. When you're able to get to a point where you're making it exactly how you envision it I think you'll be great. Keep working at it, play around with some of the tutorials.

I actually meant to reply the day you posted this but didn't want to send it from my phone and by the time I got to my macbook it had slipped my mind!

In general, I love it. It's very Jynkz for sure, I think in terms of the theme and appearance, it's great.

Couple of things I'd do if it was me, but this is from photoshop so wouldn't know how to actually do them on your software. Firstly, I think it needs a border. A 1 or 2 pixel black border (or colour-appropriate choice for the boards you'll be using the banner on) would help it pop a little better. And the other thing I'd do would be to duplicate the cuts and change the top layer to 'overlay' and add a guasian blur. It'll smooth out the image a lot better, plus add some nice shimmer to them so they stand out from the background. Optional on top of that - if the colours are too bright/contrast seems out after adding the blur - is to mute the colour of the bottom layer a little by lowering the colour level slightly. That or add a gradient overlay onto the bottom later with 'colour' selected in the dropdown.

Overall though, i dig it!

Thanks, guys, very much appreciated.

Yeah, that may help. I didn't want to attempt anything too fancy and risk not being able to see any issues with the actual layers individually but I'll give those a shot (using Pixlr's editor and apparently, it' the closest thing to Photoshop you can get, if that helps). Oh and it wasn't for any particular boards or anything, just something to prove to myself I could do it before I go fancier, if that makes sense.

As a side note, I showed this to Doug months ago since it involves his character and I'd got a little bored and decided to make a tester match card thing as my first project. I assume a border would be best for this, too, just wondered if you had any feedback for it on top of the earlier Jynkz banner feedback you gave (I was going for an NXT feel in my head):
