New, Extensive Backstage Details On Flair-Foley Fight December 19, 2004 - Source: Mike M. By now, everyone knows about the newsmaking fight between Ric Flair and Mick Foley. Foley refused to shake Flair's hand, before asking the legend to sign a copy of "To Be The Man" for charity. Flair took the action as hostile and punched Foley in the face. The fight was broken up. What has not been reported is that the incident did not stop at that point. Flair continued insulting Foley for being a "glorified stuntman," and Foley, alluding to an incident with Flair and Bischoff, asked Arn Anderson to lock the two in a room. "Fine, pick a room," Flair reportedly said, "and may the best man walk out. Better yet, I'll walk outside and get into the ring." The Nature Boy actually walked out to the near-empty arena and waited in the ring. Foley did not actually go fight Flair, saying that he was not "going to hit a 50-year-old guy" - Flair responded that Foley need not worry about his age, since he couldn't win the fight. Ric Flair admitted that he was not a big, tough fighter, but could certainly "mess" Foley up. WWE still reportedly hopes to turn this into a storyline, but the likelihood of such an angle is hard to gauge, as there does seem to be real-life tension, even if it seems a bit immature. Now I'm sure everybody knew about this but for those that didn't that was the scoop. |

Well considering the shots Foley has taken at Flair over the years i'm shocked that this hasn't happened sooner, and Foleys an ass for getting upset at remarks flair made in his book, yet foley was the one who struck first blood? What a bitch! |

I read this on another site and made a prediction that seems to be unfolding as I figured it would: First..I say this is a work...between two old pros who know every move theyre making. And I predicted that this was gonna develop into an 'on camera..in ring' deal and it seems that those in WWE have the same notions. And lo and behold....they got plenty of time to build it up in time for WM....imagine that!!  |

Do you guys know where this whole fued started. It was when Flair was booker in WCW and Foley was there as Cactus Jack. From what I hear from most interview Flair is a real asshole when he has power. I dont think Foley is the one to blame for this one. Flair was being a jerk probly trying to get Foley to shake his hand. |

Yeah I reckon it's a work as well. It's the perfect way to hype Mania 21. And Joey it all started during Foleys run as Cactus Jack back in Dubya c Dubya and Foley mentioned it in his book saying that Flair shouldn't be a wrestler and a booker and that he made some bad booking decisions Watch this space: Foley/Flair at Wrestlemania 21. |

Flair was just on a booking committee, and really had no pull at all according to his book |

good question i guess they jsut cant help themselves, they get the power to book, and start trying to think of idea's, and obviously the first idea's that come to them are for themselves or there friends or someone comes to them with a great idea, and they think its so good, they use it for themselves or there freinds ... lol |

That is what I said. I said he was the head booker at WCW wich is correct and he pissed Foley off because he though Foley would never become a big star. And I seriously dont think this is a work. |
