March 28th: ROH officials have decided that there will be a match on the 4/2 event to determine the new ROH Tag Team Champions. Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer have been stripped of the belts due to Maff parting ways with ROH as discussed in last week's ROHwrestling.com Newswire. The belts are now vacant. ROH feels there is only one fair way to determine new champions. BJ Whitmer has worked very hard and sacrificed on many levels to become one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions. Whitmer does not deserve to be penalized. Therefore, Whitmer will get to pick any available person he wants in the wrestling business to form a new tag team. Whitmer has picked Jimmy Jacobs saying that Jacobs impressed him on 2/25 in Dayton. Whitmer says that he believes that Jacobs has a lot of untapped toughness. BJ believes that he can bring that quality out of Jacobs. Samoa Joe & ROH Pure Champion Jay Lethal won a must see match against CM Punk & Spanky on the 3/12 Woodbridge, CT event to earn a shot at the ROH Tag Team Champions. They should not lose that opportunity. So on 4/2 in Asbury Park, NJ it will be BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs vs. Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal with the winners capturing the vacant ROH Tag Team Titles!!! Tickets now on sale at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 or at Ticketmaster outlets. March 28th: Secrets Of The Ring With Raven has been released at ROHwrestling.com and is ready for immediate delivery on DVD & VHS. This is the first edition of Secrets Of The Ring With Raven. This edition sees Raven go into great detail on the art of being a babyface. Raven also touches on other topics. Raven discusses everything including promos, selling, comebacks, character development, transitions, psychology and much, much more. This is a must for all aspiring pro wrestlers. Raven is as informative and entertaining as ever in this edition of Secrets Of The Ring. March 28th: Dave Prazak is set to make his debut in the ROH commentary booth on the 3/5 "Trios Tournament 2005" home release. Prazak will do commentary on future ROH shows when he is available. March 28th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries made two successful World Title defenses over the weekend in Full Impact Pro. He defeated Insane Dragon (Izzy in ROH) on Friday in Lakeland, FL. He went on to defeat Roderick Strong in a very competitive match on Saturday in Sebring, FL. The Sebring event featured a true classic that saw Bryan Danielson defeat CM Punk in just over 41 minutes in a 2/3 Fall match. If you are a fan of the Danielson vs. Paul London "Epic Encounter" from ROH you definitely need to check out this match. March 28th: Austin Aries has been on a roll as ROH World Champion with international World Title defenses in Canada, Switzerland and Austria. Aries has also traveled across the United States to defend the belt against the top competitors in different promotions. This is similar to the old days when the World Champion would travel to different territories to defend the belt. Aries will now face his stiffest test as he is set to defend the belt against Homicide on April 2nd in Asbury Park, NJ. The eyes of every ROH fan will be on this bout as many feel that Homicide deserves the ROH World Title. Homicide pinned Aries with the cop killa to win the "Trios Tournament 2005" and earn this title shot. March 28th: There will be a bus trip from Boston to the big 4/2 event in Asbury Park, NJ. For info email BostonWrestlingTrip@gmail.com. |

March 25th: One half of the ROH Tag Team Champions Dan Maff has been forced to leave the wrestling business for personal reasons. Everyone at ROH wishes Maff the best and thanks him for his invaluable contributions to ROH. Maff was one of the founding fathers of ROH and opened up the promotion in memorable fashion at "The Era Of Honor Begins." March 25th: ROH officials are currently discussing and debating about what to do with the Tag Team Titles. ROH officials do not want BJ Whitmer to be penalized for Maff's sudden departure since Whitmer has more than paid his dues in ROH and earned the tag belts. There will be an announcement right here in the Newswire of ROHwrestling.com either Sunday or Monday about the Tag Title situation. March 25th: No matter what decision is reached, Samoa Joe & ROH Pure Champion Jay Lethal will be competing for the ROH Tag Titles on 4/2 in Asbury Park, NJ. Joe & Lethal earned the Tag Title shot on 3/12 and will not be denied this opportunity. Joe has made it his goal to be the first grand slam champion in ROH history by holding all three ROH titles. Lethal has a rare opportunity to be a double champion on 4/2. March 25th: Make sure to check out the $10 DVD sale at ROHwrestling.com. 20 titles are now discounted to just $10 for a limited time including many ROH events from 2002. This is a great opportunity to catch up on any titles that might be missing from your collection like 1/29/04 "The Last Stand" featuring Jay & Mark Briscoe with Jim Cornette vs. Samoa Joe & Jerry Lynn, Homicide vs. CM Punk and the first Alex Shelley vs. Jimmy Jacobs ROH bout. March 25th: CM Punk has demanded to get his hands on The Embassy and particulary Jimmy Rave as soon as possible. Punk has stated he can't wait till 4/16 in Dorchester, MA to exact his revenge on Rave and Prince Nana. March 25th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries is set to defend the belt in FIP this weekend. Since FIP is ANYTHING GOES and the wrestlers make the matches there is no telling who Aries will defend the title against. He is set for action tonight in Lakeland, FL and tomorrow in Sebring, FL. Aries is already set for a first time ever match vs. Petey Williams in Sebring at C4, but it will not be known until showtime if this will be for the ROH World Title. Check FullImpactPro.com for more info. March 29th: CM Punk has enlisted the help of his friend and Second City Saint partner Colt Cabana for a grudge tag team match this Saturday, 4/2, in Asbury Park against The Embassy of Jimmy Rave & Fast Eddie managed by Prince Nana. Punk is irate and has sworn to disfigure Rave so there is no telling what will happen this Saturday!!! March 29th: ROH officials have decided on Jay Lethal's challenger for the Pure Title on 4/16 in the Boston area. It will be none other than Spanky!!! Lethal will definitely be tested in his first Pure Title defense. This match will determine if Lethal is ready to be a main eventer. March 29th: Matt Sydal is the sleeper pick of the 4/2 Best Of American Super Juniors Tournament this Saturday. ROH officials believe that Sydal could be one of the breakout stars of 2005. Sydal is one of the best and most underrated high-flyers going today. He will get a chance to show his skills in front of the international media this Saturday. A good showing by Sydal will raise his stock significantly. However, he is faced with a mysterious first round opponent in Dragon Soldier B. March 29th: We have some more info on Dragon Soldier B. New Japan looks at him as one of the favorites in this tournament. He is a rival of Manabu Nakanishi and wears green soldier pants just like Nakanishi. His mask is shaped like Kendo Ka-Shin except there is a gun on the side and it is green like the soldier pants. The Dragon part is because he was trained by "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson. This competitor could be the sleeper pick of the Best Of American Super Juniors Tournament this Saturday in New Jersey. March 29th: Don't forget the $10 DVD sale ends tomorrow at ROHwrestling.com. There are now 20 ROH shows available for just $10. This includes "Best Of Homicide: MVP 2003" featuring Homicide's most exciting matches from his incredible 2003. One of the best selling DVDs during this sale has been the unique "Final Battle 2003" featuring All Japan's invasion of ROH with The Great Muta & Arashi vs. Christopher Daniels & Dan Maff, Satoshi Kojima vs. Homicide, AJ Styles vs. Kaz Hayashi, Samoa Joe vs. Mark Briscoe, Bryan Danielson vs. Jay Briscoe and more!!! This is a great opportunity to add missing DVD's to your collection including remastered DVDs from 2002. March 29th: Another sleeper pick in the tournament is the new Black Tiger. New Japan has high hopes for the new Black Tiger. Inoki Sports Management are sure that the individual under the mask will be able to carry the rich history and tradition of the Black Tiger gimmick. March 29th: Chad Collyer is set to return to ROH on 5/13 in Dayton, OH and 5/14 in Chicago Ridge, IL. Tickets for both events are on sale now and selling fast at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 or at Ticketmaster outlets. March 30th: The wrestler formerly known as Ebessan has been signed to the 5/13 Dayton, OH event. Could we see a return of Ebetus Jack? March 30th: Low Ki had a very heated phone conversation with ROH officials the other day. Ki told ROH officials that he will be at the 5/7 Manhattan show invited or not. Ki said if ROH is coming to NYC that he will be there to do whatever he wants because NYC is his town. This situation has gotten very tense. March 30th: The big $10 sale at ROHwrestling.com ends tonight so act fast!!! ROHwrestling.com now has over 20 ROH DVDs on sale for just $10. If you are looking for a bargain this includes both the double disc "First Anniversary Show" and "Death Before Dishonor" sets. That is right, you will get two DVDs full of ROH action and extensive highlight packages from other shows for just $10. "First Anniversary Show" featured Paul London in a grueling 40 minutes of action in two bouts vs. ROH Champion Xavier and a dream three-way vs. Low Ki vs. AJ Styles plus Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe, Bryan Danielson vs. Samoa Joe, the infamous riot and much more!!! "Death Before Dishonor" has Paul London's last ROH match and emotional farewell as he battles ROH World Champion Samoa Joe plus AJ Styles & Amazing Red vs. Brisoces in 2/3 Fall action, Raven vs. CM Punk in a bloody dog collar match with a huge extreme surprise and much more. Act now because this sale ends tonight at ROHwrestling.com. March 30th: The two favorites going into this Saturday's Best Of American Super Juniors Tournament look to be Bryan Danielson and James Gibson. Both these men are established stars in New Japan. Inoki Sports Management officials hope a new star breaks out of the pack on April 2nd. There is no doubt that if someone is able to upset Danielson and/or Gibson that they will be propelled into stardom in one night. ROH officials would love nothing more than to see Danielson or Gibson win the tournament, although ROH officials are all about letting new talent shine and new stars be made. This Saturday's tournament will be very interesting on many levels. March 30th: CM Punk told ROH officials that they might as well make this Saturday's tag team match pitting Punk & Colt Cabana vs. The Embassy No DQ because Punk is coming for a fight and he will just be disqualified in seconds. Prince Nana has not agreed to the No DQ stipulation for his team of Jimmy Rave & Fast Eddie. We'll have more on this tomorrow in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. March 30th: Representatives from Inoki Sports Management, NWA and New Japan will be in attendance on Saturday as well as international media from Japan. This will be a card where a wrestler can really raise his international stock with a good showing. |

All these new releases are now included in the huge 20-25% off sale at ROHwrestling.com. April 4th: James Gibson suffered a back injury in the Best Of American Super Juniors Tournament at the hands of Roderick Strong. The injury caused Spanky to throw in the towel for Gibson in his semifinal match. Gibson is upset at Spanky for throwing in the towel, but Spanky believes he did the right thing because Gibson was risking his career wrestling with the bad back. Gibson is now set to face ROH World Champion Austin Aries for the belt on 4/16 in Dorchester. Gibson insists his back will be 100% by the next event. April 4th: The first match has been signed for ROH's huge Manhattan debut on May 7th. It will be the first Tag Team Title defense by BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs. They will be challenged by Generation Next of Roderick Strong & Jack Evans!!! April 4th: The main event of the 5/14 Chicago Ridge, IL event has been signed. Last Saturday's event saw Jimmy Rave try to disfigure CM Punk by scraping Punk's Straight Edge tattoo off his stomach. Punk also had a hard time getting his hands on Rave. May 14th in Punk's hometown will be a different story as Jimmy Rave will be locked in the Steel Cage vs. CM Punk!!! April 4th: Homicide will face Bryan Danielson on 4/16 in Dorchester, MA in match four of their best of five series. If Homicide wins, he will win the series as he currently leads 2-1. ROH officials have named the stipulation to this one. ROH officials want to keep this match in the ring, but at the same time ROH officials realize that these there is so much hatred between these two that they can't be expected to follow the rules. So on April 16th in the Boston area it will be Danielson vs. Homicide in a No DQ Lumberjack match!!! |

April 7th: Ring Of Honor will present Double Stakes Survival on April 16th in the Boston area. This contest will pit Samoa Joe vs. Colt Cabana vs. Nigel McGuinness vs. Alex Shelley. It will be similar to a Four Corner Survival in that tags are needed. However, there is a huge new twist. The winner of the first fall will get a future shot at the Pure Title. The winner of the first fall and the loser of that fall will both then leave the match, making it a one-on-one encounter between the remaining two athletes. The winner of that fall will receive a future ROH World Title shot. April 7th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries told ROHwrestling.com that after he defeats James Gibson in Boston he will then go on and defend the belt on all three May shows including Manhattan, Dayton and Chicago. Aries is telling everyone to compare his first four months as champion to the beginning of Samoa Joe’s title reign and it will be obvious that Aries is having the superior World Title reign. April 7th: Spanky has increased his training regime to prepare for his Pure Title match vs. Jay Lethal on 4/16 in Boston. Spanky hungers for a ROH title since he was one of the men that put ROH on the map, but he has yet to win any ROH titles. Many see this as Jay Lethal’s first real test. Was Lethal’s Pure Title win a fluke or does he really belong at the top of the card? April 7th: New ROH Tag Team Champion BJ Whitmer could become a double champion. Whitmer believes that he should get a Pure Title shot since he pinned Lethal last Saturday in a tag team bout to win the Tag Titles. April 7th: Just in case you missed it the 2/25/04 Dayton, OH “Third Anniversary Celebration: Part 2” DVD is now in stock and shipping immediately from ROHwrestling.com. ROH’s booker considers this one of the greatest shows in ROH history and a must see for all wrestling fans. You’ll see great matches like AJ Styles vs. Jimmy Rave, Samoa Joe & Bryan Danielson vs. Austin Aries & Jack Evans, CM Punk vs. Alex Shelley, Spanky vs. James Gibson, Colt Cabana vs. Nigel McGuinness, the first ever women’s Four Corner Survival, Homicide vs. Puma and more!!! This DVD is included in the big 20-25% off sale at ROHwrestling.com. April 7th: ROH officials are still discussing and debating what kind of Steel Cage match to have in Dayton, OH on 5/13. Will one of ROH’s hottest feuds get settled in a cage? Will the Midwest get a Scramble Cage for the first time? We will get answers in the upcoming weeks. April 7th: The current class of the ROH Wrestling School is progressing at a rapid pace and is close to graduation. The ROH Wrestling School keeps improving all the time with a new gym and recent guest appearances and teachers like ROH World Champion Austin Aries and Samoa Joe. The opening match has been set and will future two of wrestling's hottest prospects as they tag up for the first time to try to earn a fulltime spot in ROH. April 11th: Some of the hottest selling DVDs now at ROHwrestling.com aren't even ROH titles. Current top selling DVDs include Marc La Grizzley's "New Year's Madness" (Samoa Joe vs. Kevin Steen vs. El Generico with the winner taking on Austin Aries for the ROH World Title plus CM Punk, Roderick Strong), BCW's "Dog Chevalier Memorial" (Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley with Mick Foley as ref plus Abyss, Team Canada, Chris Harris), MLW's "Summer Apocalypse" (Terry Funk vs. Jerry Lawler, Jimmy Yang vs. Sonjay Dutt, Homicide vs. Jerry Lynn, Christopher Daniels vs. Sabu), FIP's "Fallout: Night One" (Homicide vs. BJ Whitmer, CM Punk vs. Dan Maff, Jimmy Rave vs. Fast Eddie, Insane Dragon vs. Jerrelle Clark) and FIP's "Fallout: Night Two" (Homicide vs. CM Punk Falls Count Anywhere match with strip club brawl, Roderick Strong vs. BJ Whitmer plus a bonus featuring New Jack in one of his bloodiest ever matches vs. Sandman). If you order any of these shows by 3pm at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500 it will be shipped that day. April 11th: A big tag team grudge match has also been signed for Saturday's Dorchester card as Lacey's Angels of Izzy & Deranged will take on Azrieal & Dixie in a rematch of their great match on 3/12 in Woodbridge, CT that saw Azrieal & Dixie win the Special K name. Lacey is demanding a win from her angels. April 11th: ROH officials received an ominous phone call last week. It was from an unknown man who said that he attacked Jay Lethal backstage at the trios tournament. The man then went on to say that he won't be hard to find and hung up the phone. ROH officials had police trace the call back to a payphone in New Jersey. We will keep you up to date with the latest on this situation right here in ROHwrestling.com's Newswire. Get discounted tickets until 10pm tonight to see Aries vs. Gibson, Spanky vs. Lethal, Danielson vs. Homicide, Punk with Heenan vs. Rave with Nana and more!!! April 11th: Allison Danger and Ring Of Honor have parted ways. ROH highly recommends Danger to other promoters. She is a credit to any locker room as well as a talented and versatile performer. This was simply a case of Danger's run in ROH being over and new talent like Lacey and Jade (new woman in The Embassy that made her debut on April 2nd) taking the spots. Danger is the only founding mother of ROH. She was in the very first segment and immediately proved her toughness by being powerbombed through a table. She had successful stints with The Christopher Street Connection and The Prophecy as well as a memorable feud against Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer. Danger also shined in the ring with recent high quality women Four Corner Survival matches in Dayton, Chicago and Woodbridge. We wish Allison the best of luck and thank her for her contributions to ROH. |

I gave them my all and they caused me to lose my spot. I choose to only perform in front of the real fans, fans who appreciate wrestling. Plus, we will also have more news this week on the 6/4 Buffalo debut and 6/18 "Death Before Dishonor III" in New Jersey. April 17th: Alex Shelley won a World Title shot last night in the Boston area. He will get that title shot in three weeks. Austin Aries defending the World Title vs. Alex Shelley on 5/7 in Manhattan has officially been signed!!! This is a huge grudge match between the former Generation Next leader and the current head of Gen Next!!! April 17th: Samoa Joe earned a Pure Title shot with his victory last night. He will receive that shot in Manhattan on 5/7. It will be Jay Lethal defending the Pure Title against his mentor Samoa Joe!!! Lethal pulled out the victory of his life last night against Spanky, but how can he possibly defeat Samoa Joe? April 17th: ROHwrestling.com is proud to release the DVD of its 2/26/05 "Third Anniversary Celebration: Part 3" event. This means that DVD's of all three Third Anniversary shows are now out on DVD and ready for immediate delivery at ROHwrestling.com. The 2/26/05 event from Chicago is another loaded show with the Austin Aries vs. Samoa Joe World Title rematch, CM Punk vs. Jimmy Rave, James Gibson vs. Puma, Spanky vs. Alex Shelley, Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide in the wildest falls count anywhere match ever, Jim Cornette leads his team of BJ Whitmer & Dan Maff vs. Bobby "The Brian" Heenan's team of Colt Cabana & Nigel McGuinness, Alex Shelley vs. Jack Evans, Fast Eddie vs. Matt Sydal and more!!! April 17th: The second class of the ROH Wrestling School got their first experience of being on a live show last night in Boston when they served as lumberjacks for the classic Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide match. This means that they can already put on their resume that they worked with world class competitors like Danielson and Homicide. This class is almost set to graduate and the next class will begin soon. If you are interested in trying out for the next class email ROHhelp@aol.com. The next tryouts are Sunday, May 8th at 3pm. April 17th: Bobby "The Brain" Heenan will return to ROH soon. What will "The Brain" be up to next? Could it be more home releases? April 17th: James Gibson has demanded a rematch for the ROH World Title. Gibson and Aries fought in a great match last night that ended in a double pin. ROH Head Referee Todd Sinclair told each competitor that he would restart the match if they wanted. Gibson was quick to agree. However, Aries looked like he was going to walk out when Alex Shelley attacked him. This ruined any chance of the match restarting. Gibson feels that he deserves a rematch and ROH officials agree. ROH officials are putting in overtime today trying to get the rematch signed. We will have more in tomorrow's ROHwrestling.com Newswire. April 17th: The tensions between Colt Cabana and Nigel McGuinness continue to rise. Cabana made fun of Nigel's English accent last night in a backstage "Good Times, Great Memories" with Bobby Heenan. When news got back to McGuinness he seemed pretty fed up with Cabana's antics. This was obvious with the interaction between the two in last night's Double Stakes Four Corner Survival. April 17th: ROH and Boston area promoter Jim Quinlin have mutually parted ways. We want to thank Jim for all his contributions to ROH and we wish him and his family the best in the future. ROH is now looking to rebuild the Boston market by stabilizing the building situation. We will announce a return date in the future. |

The final match between the two will be contested inside a STEEL CAGE!!! Last time in Dayton fans saw these two brawl throughout the building and in the parking lot. Now they will settle their feud inside the steel cage where there must be a winner!!! April 19th: Another huge main event has been signed for Dayton on May 13th. James Gibson and ROH World Champion Austin Aries fought to a double pin last Saturday in the Boston area. Gibson has demanded a rematch and ROH officials have signed it. If you liked that one, you are sure to love Volume 2. There are some great stories about Vince McMahon on this DVD. If you order by 3pm at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500 your order will be shipped that day. The FIP event that night features a tag team tournament to determine the new FIP Tag Team Champions. However, since ANYTHING GOES and the wrestlers call the matches there is no telling what format the tournament will be or who exactly will be in it. We do know that Homicide & Vordell Walker vs. Roderick Strong & Jerrelle Clark as well as James Gibson & Steve Madison vs. Spanky & a partner of his choice have been agreed upon as first round matches. Others signed for this event include CM Punk, DP Associates of Jimmy Rave & Eddie Vegas with Dave Prazak, Carnage Crew of Loc & Devito and The Ring Crew Express of Dunn & Marcos. April 20th Newswire April 20th: ROH has added a stipulation to raise the stakes in the May 13th Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide Steel Cage match in Dayton. Of course, this match will decide who wins the best of five series. The winner will then take on Austin Aries the next night in Chicago. If Aries is still champion then the World Title will be on the line in Chicago. Even if Aries is not champion, Danielson and Homicide both want a match with him since they both lost their last encounters with Aries. They want to even the score. Tickets are on sale for both Dayton and Chicago now at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 or at Ticketmaster outlets. April 20th: Alex Shelley has signed for a Tag Team Grudge match on 5/14 in Chicago against Jack Evans & Roderick Strong. The only problem is that Shelley doesn't have a partner. Shelley demanded this match for Chicago since last time in Chi-Town Evans & Strong broke Shelley's arm and caused him to miss a few shows due to injury. Shelley is now starting a hunt for a partner. We will have updates here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. April 20th: ROHwrestling.com is currently having a huge buy 3, get 1 free DVD/VHS sale. This includes all ROH shows, Secrets Of The Ring and every edition of the Straight Shootin' Series. Act now because the sale ends April 25th at ROHwrestling.com!!! April 20th: ROH is finalizing the details for a former champion to return in Dayton and Chicago. We should have the announcement of who and his matches tomorrow in the Newswire. We will also have more news tomorrow on 6/4 in Buffalo and 6/18 in New Jersey. April 20th: ROH officials tried to recently open up talks with Low Ki, but Ki rudely refused to speak with ROH officials. The only thing Ki said was that ROH will be on his turf on May 7th when ROH is back in NYC and that ROH will play by his rules on that date. April 20th: Full Impact Pro finally returns to Arcadia, FL this Saturday with a huge show. Tickets will be available at the door. Check FullImpactPro.com for more info and directions. The show is headlined by the biggest grudge match in FIP history as Homicide defends the FIP Heavyweight Title against CM Punk in an Anything Goes match!!! Punk stole the belt from Homicide on 2/19 at an ROH event and insists that he is the true champion. Homicide has stated that he will kill Punk for this disrespect. Punk has been flaunting the fact that he stole the FIP belt. The war between Homicide and Punk started in the FIP Heavyweight Title tournament on "Emergence" weekend. Since that time the two have brawled in hurricanes, bathrooms, parking lots, on top of trucks and even in a strip club on FIP's latest release "Fallout: Night Two." The war could come to a violent conclusion on April 23rd in Arcadia. Plus, Spanky will take on Roderick Strong in a dream match, Jerrelle Clark vs. Jimmy Rave in a grudge match and more including James Gibson, Fast Eddie, Loc & Devito, Dunn & Marcos, Steve Madison, Antonio Banks, The Heartbreak Express and others!!! April 27th: Rottweiler leader Homicide will have to defeat Bryan Danielson on his own on 5/13 in Dayton, OH.
