THE KLIQ IS BACK PERIOD!!

May 2nd Newswire May 2nd: Some ROH fans might remember that Steve Corino had secured an international ROH World Title contract last fall that was sent to the Zero-One Max promotion in Japan. Spanky, who is currently on tour in Japan for Zero-One Max, has taken the contract and signed his name to a future ROH World Title match. He will receive his shot for the World Title on 6/4 in the Buffalo area debut and face whoever the World Champion is that night. BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs have signed to defend the Tag Titles at this huge event, but first they have to make it past the May shows. Tickets for this show are included in the $10 ticket sale at ROHwrestling.com, but act now because the sale ends tonight at 9pm!!! May 2nd: Alex Shelley is confident that he will be walking into Buffalo, NY on 6/4 as ROH World Champion. Shelley is ready for the biggest match of his ROH career this Saturday in Manhattan when he challenges ROH World Champion and current Generation Next leader Austin Aries. This contest has been building since "Final Battle 2004" and the battle of Generation Next will explode on May 7th. Shelley has sent word that he has counters to all of Aries' moves. Shelley made the case that he created Generation Next and thus Austin Aries and that he knows Aries better than anyone. We'll have more on this huge World Title match later this week. May 2nd: More big matches have been signed for the 5/13 Dayton, Ohio event. Tickets for this show are on sale for just $10 at ROHwrestling.com, but act now because the sale ends tonight at 9pm and then tickets go back to the regular $15 price. The first is a grudge match as former Generation Next leader Alex Shelley takes on one of the men that turned on him in Roderick Strong. If Shelley wins the World Title on 5/7 it is likely that he would defend it in this bout. May 2nd: A Four Corner Survival has just been signed for 5/13 in Dayton. It will pit Samoa Joe vs. Jack Evans vs. Ebessan vs. Delirious!!! This one features Joe in two rematches. First, he will step in the ring with Jack Evans again. Joe & Bryan Danielson defeated Evans & Austin Aries in a must see match last time in Dayton. Joe will also be in the ring with Ebessan in a rematch of their encounter at "Third Anniversary Celebration: Part 1." May 2nd: If BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs are successful in their ROH Tag Team defense against Roderick Strong & Jack Evans on 5/7, they will defend the belts in Dayton. We will have word on their opponents next week. If Strong & Evans win the belts on 5/7, they will defend them on 5/14 in Chicago against Alex Shelley and a partner of his choice. We will have an update on Shelley's quest to find a partner later this week in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. One more match is about to be signed for Dayton and we should be able to report it tomorrow. May 2nd: ROHwrestling.com currently has several DVDs available from pre-order including the new WWE DVD featuring The Road Warriors. The first two Pro Wrestling Unplugged DVDs are also for sale featuring Jack Evans, Deranged, Trent Acid, Amazing Red, SAT, Carnage Crew, Insane Dragon, Jay Lethal, Tom Carter, Azrieal, B-Boy and more of the most exciting wrestlers going today. ROHwrestling.com also now his in stock two new DVDs from Canada's EWR promotion featuring Raven, Petey Williams and the top Canadian talent. Don't forget there is much more than ROH stuff at ROHwrestling.com including DVDs from FIP, BCW, IWC, Revolution Pro, 3PW, WWE developmental territory OVW, Desperados Del Ring, Wrestling Classics and much more!!! May 2nd: The winner of the Jimmy Rave vs. CM Punk 5/14 Steel Cage match in Chicago will be awarded with a future ROH World Title shot, most likely at 6/18 "Death Before Dishonor III" in Morristown, NJ since Spanky already has claimed the 6/4 World Title shot. This will raise the stakes of this Steel Cage war!!! May 2nd: Don't forget that ROH shows from 2002 and 2003 have been discounted to just $6 on VHS. We are clearing out our videotape inventory and giving you the bargain of a lifetime. Once these tapes are gone, they are gone for good. You can now get some of the most legendary shows with some of the most classic matches in ROH history for just $6 at ROHwrestling.com. This also includes several Best Ofs including ones for Homicide, CM Punk, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels. May 2nd: A Four Corner Survival has been added for 5/14 in Chicago. Tickets for this event are also discounted to just $10 at ROHwrestling.com, but act now because the discount ends at 9pm tonight. It will pit the return of Chicago's own Ace Steel vs. ROH Tag Team Champion Jimmy Jacobs vs. Matt Stryker vs. Matt Sydal!!! May 2nd: The police will have a presence at the 5/7 event in Manhattan. This was done solely as a precaution to counter The Rottweilers of Homicide, Low Ki and Julius Smokes. The Rottweilers have stated that ROH will be on their turf this Saturday and that they are making the rules and calling the shots. They have gone as far to say that 5/7 will be the night that ROH always feared. It should be noted that Low Ki is still suspended from ROH. |

The time for hype is over and the action, mayhem, spirit and fight is about to begin!!! May 6th: ROH is proud to release the 3/12/05 "Back To Basics" DVD. This hot show featured quality matches from beginning to end including Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal vs. CM Punk & Spanky; James Gibson vs. Rocky Romero; Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer defend the ROH Tag Titles vs. Nigel McGuinness vs. Colt Cabana; Lacey vs. Allison Danger vs. Daizee Haze vs. Cindy Rogers; Roderick Strong vs. Homicide; Special K vs. Special K with the winning team getting the name; Spanky vs. Jack Evans and more including backstage promos and a video look at the rise & fall of Special K. Order after 3pm today at ROHwrestling.com for immediate delivery. ROH also has released the VHS of 4/16/05 "Stalemate" that many called ROH's best event ever in the Boston area with Bryan Danielson vs. Homicide in a No DQ Lumberjack match, James Gibson goes for the World Title vs. Austin Aries, Jay Lethal defends the Pure Title vs. Spanky and much more!!! May 6th: ROH will debut on The Fight Network in Canada. Here is an article about the new Fight Network: http://www.canada.com/national/nationalpos...0d-c960df7aee44 May 6th: Alex Shelley is having no luck in finding a tag partner to go up against Generation Next of Jack Evans & Roderick Strong. Shelley has been turned down by just about everyone in the locker room. Shelley is not backing down from this match though and insists that he'll wrestle it as a handicap match if he has to. Shelley wants to prove to Evans & Strong that he was the real leader of Generation Next. Aries told ROHwrestling.com that Shelley won't even make it to the Midwest. Aries insists that not only will he defeat Shelley tomorrow in Manhattan (Saturday, May 7th), but then he will injure him and knock him out of ROH for good. May 6th: Prince Nana says he has an idea for a match for AJ Styles on 6/18 at "Death Before Dishonor III" in Morristown, NJ. Nana has stated that this is the only way Styles will get at Jimmy Rave. We will have more on this either Sunday night or Monday morning right here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. May 6th: Check the main page of ROHwrestling.com later today for complete coverage of ROH on WB 11 live in New York City on the morning show. PWInsider.com will have up to the minute updates. ROH is set to be on several segments starting at 5:15am. Fans can attend this as the ROH ring will be set up outside at 42nd Street and 2nd Avenue. May 6th: Lots of news on 5/13 in Dayton and 5/14 in Chicago coming next week right here at ROHwrestling.com including more matches for both shows. May 6th: ROH officials sat down this week to discuss the "depth" chart on the ROH roster. With AJ Styles returning almost fulltime, Doug Williams back and Matt Hardy's debut imminent as well as negotiations going on with two more national stars it looks like the ROH roster will be very crowded, especially near the top of the card. ROH officials also discussed what new indy prospects should be brought in fulltime. The consensus was that now wasn't the time to commit to new prospects, rather now was a time to "promote from within." ROH officials have decided that the next few months will showcase athletes like Colt Cabana, Nigel McGuinness, Lacey's Angels, Azrieal, Dixie, Dunn & Marcos, Roderick Strong, Jack Evans and ROH Tag Team Champions BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs. They will all be given opportunities to improve their stock and climb the card. ROH will not forget that all these men paid their dues in ROH and have earned the chance to shine even with the roster additions. Opportunities will still be given to top prospects like Kevin Steen and El Generico on 6/4 in the Buffalo area debut, but the roster spots are tight so these athletes need wins to earn a fulltime job. Who will climb the ladder? Who will fall off the roster? Who will be the next to impress? Things are going to be very interesting up and down the card as the competitiveness increases in ROH!!! |

May 8th Newswire May 8th: A Tag Team Title match has been signed for this Friday's event in Dayton, OH at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds Coliseum. Champions BJ Whitmer & Jimmy Jacobs will face the challenge of The Second City Saints of CM Punk & Ace Steel. Whitmer requested a title defense against Punk & Steel so he can "exorcise the demons of that street fight" (Death Before Dishonor II: Part 2). That match saw Punk & Steel win the feud against Whitmer & Dan Maff when Steel pinned Whitmer. It is perhaps the greatest hardcore style match in ROH history. Dayton will see Whitmer have a chance to even the score. We will have more matches for both Dayton and Saturday's event in Chicago tomorrow or the next day in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. May 8th: Austin Aries has challenged Low Ki to a one-on-one match on June 12th when ROH returns to Manhattan with an afternoon event at The Super Club. Ki has accepted although ROH officials have yet to sanction this match. ROH officials refuse to grant Ki a title match. Aries has stated that he wants to defend the title in this match. Aries vs. Ki will happen on June 12th, but as of now it is a non-title match. This event will also feature the return of Six Man Mayhem and Jack Evans is the first man signed to this action packed contest. This all star show will be over in plenty of time to be able to enjoy dinner and catch the ECW PPV down the street. We will have a talent list tomorrow right here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. May 8th: Don't forget the 3/12/05 "Back To Basics" DVD is now in stock and available for immediate delivery at ROHwrestling.com. This event featured Samoa Joe & Jay Lethal vs. CM Punk & Spanky, James Gibson vs. Rocky Romero, Jack Evans vs. Spanky, Izzy & Deranged vs. Dixie & Azrieal with the winners getting the Special K, Homicide vs. Roderick Strong and much, much more!!! You can now get this on ROH's free shipping weekend. Check the main page of ROHwrestling.com for details. May 8th: Matt Hardy will have his first wrestling match anywhere since leaving WWE on the July 16th Woodbridge, CT event. Tickets on sale now at ROHwrestling.com and Ticketmaster outlets. ROH officials have yet to begin to put together this card, but Hardy will be against a main event caliber opponent on this show. May 8th: Jay Lethal suffered a severely injured neck at the Cop Killa/Double Stomp combo by Low Ki and Homicide at the end of last night's event. It is expected that Lethal will miss some time in ROH due to the injury. The way the move works is Ki actually double stomps Homicide's shoulders driving more force into the Cop Killa. ROH officials have already discussed banning the move since it is far too dangerous and guarantees injury. ROH officials have never banned a move in ROH history. We'll have more on this in the upcoming days. May 8th: Jimmy Rave tried to destroy Punk with several vicious chair shots to the head at the end of last night's Dog Collar match. CM Punk cannot remember the end of the match. Punk instinctively cut a promo in the locker room right after the match and can't remember it either. Punk also suffered significant blood loss. May 8th: Rap star Redman was in attendance at last night's show. |

May 10th Newswire May 10th: In case you missed it one of the biggest matches in ROH history has just been signed for 7/16 in Woodbridge, CT as Matt Hardy will take on Christopher Daniels!!! This will be Hardy's ROH debut and Daniels' return to ROH. Finally, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels will return to ROH on July 16th in a dream match vs. Matt Hardy. Tickets on sale now at ROHwrestling.com, by calling 215-781-2500 or at Ticketmaster outlets. We will have much more on why this match is taking place in the upcoming weeks. May 10th: New ROH Pure Champion Samoa Joe has stated that he is going to do the same thing for the Pure Title that he did for the ROH Title. Joe is the one that made the ROH Title into a World Title and he greatly raised the prestige of the belt. Now he will attempt to do the same for the Pure Title. May 10th: Joe is off to a fast start in signing Pure Title defenses. He will put the belt on the line on 6/4 in ROH's Buffalo area debut against James Gibson!!! This first time ever match has all the makings of a classic. Can Gibson finally get a ROH title? May 10th: ROHwrestling.com now has new shirts for AJ Styles and Raven. May 10th: Right now all attention is turning to the Midwest as ROH hits Dayton, OH this Friday and Chicago Ridge, IL on Saturday. There will be matches added to the show each night. Right now there is one more match officially signed for 5/14 in Chicago. It will see James Gibson takes on ROH Tag Team Champion BJ Whitmer!!! This is an important match for Gibson, who is yearning to get a ROH title belt around his waist. May 10th: The tension has raised even higher between Colt Cabana and Nigel McGuinness. Last Saturday saw Nigel defeat Cabana after rolling him up after an accidental low blow. Cabana thinks that McGuinness might have done the low blow on purpose. Cabana went on to make fun of Nigel more in backstage segments, which raised the ire of McGuinness. Cabana picked his dream partner of Doug Williams to go up against McGuinness and his dream partner of Chad Collyer on Friday in Dayton. Saturday in Chicago will see perhaps the last singles match between the two. Who will get the best of this rivalry? To increase the stakes the winner of the Chicago match will get a Pure Title shot on 6/12 in Manhattan. May 10th: Former Pure Champion Doug Williams sent word that he is very excited about his ROH return this weekend. He is really looking forward to wrestling both McGuinness and Collyer on Friday in Dayton as they all have similar styles. Williams said he has been studying recent tapes and is looking forward to getting back in the ring with Bryan Danielson or facing Homicide for the first time on Saturday in Chicago. Either way the fans will see a main event caliber match in Chicago. May 10th: The sleeper match of the weekend could be the grudge bout pitting The Embassy's Jimmy Rave vs. Matt Sydal on 5/13 in Dayton. Sydal is definitely coming with something to prove. The athletic competitor was attacked by The Embassy last time in Dayton. Rave then made an example of Sydal by hitting him with the Rave clash. Now we'll see if Sydal can break out and even the score to get the biggest victory of his ROH and possibly entire wrestling career. May 10th: What is ROH filming next with Jim Cornette and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan? Stay tuned!!! This will be a very unique concept that has never been done before. ROHwrestling.com currently has two editions of Straight Shootin' With Cornette & Heenan for sale and ready for immediate delivery. This is a wrestling education as both volumes see these legends exchange stories about their careers with lots of behind the scenes stories from every era. You can also see Heenan and Cornette oppose each other for the first time ever in a must for old school fans on ROH's "All Star Extravaganza II" double DVD set, which also includes the final Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk World Title match. |

May 11th Newswire May 11th: "The Notorious 187" Homicide has stated that this is the biggest weekend of his life. The Rottweiler leader has the opportunity to win the possible feud of the year vs. Bryan Danielson in Dayton on Friday and then become World Champion in Chicago on Saturday. Homicide is on a roll of momentum after The Rottweilers dominated last week in Manhattan. Homicide will have to do it alone this weekend though, as all Rottweiler members have been banned from the shows so that we can get a decisive winner in the Homicide vs. Danielson Best Of Five series. May 11th: ROH World Champion Austin Aries is scheduled to go to Tulancingo, Mexico for the X-Law promotion to wrestle Super Crazy this Sunday. This will be a ROH World Title match and the first time the ROH World Title will be defended in Mexico. However, Aries first must get past James Gibson on Friday in Dayton and either Bryan Danielson or Homicide on Saturday in Chicago. ROH officials are actually concerned that Aries might be taking on too ambitious of a schedule. Aries has been going nonstop since winning the belt at the beginning of the year. He has defended the belt in Florida for FIP, Iowa, Canada, Switzerland, Austria as well as other United States independents. Aries has truly brought back the days of the old school World Champion that would go to different territories to defend the title. Aries has also taken on the best in ROH and has beaten Colt Cabana in a Steel Cage, Samoa Joe in a rematch plus Homicide, Alex Shelley and a draw against James Gibson. The question is not if, but when will this schedule wear down Aries? May 11th: James Gibson believes that Aries' title reign will come to an end on Friday in Dayton. Gibson fought Aries to a double pin on 4/16 at "Stalemate" in a bout that saw them unleash their entire arsenals on each other. Gibson even did a moonsault and springboard plancha, both of which moves he hadn't executed in about five years. These two will definitely be pulling out all the stops in Dayton. Gibson would make a very proud ROH World Champion. If Gibson wins the World Title on Friday, his Pure Title match on 6/4 in Buffalo against Samoa Joe will be changed. Gibson sent word that he is very happy he is getting a World Title match in Dayton. After the emotional response he received on 2/25, he considers Dayton a second home and he wants to give the crowd a memory they'll never forget. May 11th: Make sure to check out the article on the main page of ROHwrestling.com detailing the history of the CM Punk vs. Embassy feud including why the blood will flow this Saturday in Chicago. The Best Of CM Punk Vol. 2 "Straightedge" has been released on DVD and is ready for immediate delivery from ROHwrestling.com. You will see Punk in his famous feuds against Raven and Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat plus Punk's best matches vs. Steve Corino, AJ Styles, Raven, Doug Williams, Bryan Danielson, Jay Lethal, Austin Aries and tag action with Colt Cabana as his partner. May 11th: Tickets are off to a record start for both the 6/12 afternoon and 7/9 Manhattan events. Order now at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500 for the best possible seats. May 11th: Prince Nana has stated that AJ Styles must sign an open contract to wrestle anyone Nana wants on 6/18 in Morristown, NJ. Nana says this is the only way AJ might be able to get his hands on Jimmy Rave. We'll have AJ's response to this tomorrow right here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. May 11th: ROH officials attempted to add Jay Lethal to this weekend's double shot, but Lethal's neck is injured from the Double Stomp/Cop Killa combination delivered by Low Ki and Homicide at last Saturday's Manhattan event. Lethal says he probably won't be able to make 6/4 and is questionable for both 6/12 and 6/18 at this point. |

May 12th Newswire May 12th: ROH will have a huge announcement about the Midwest return at this weekend's shows. May 12th: Friday the 13th could be a horrific night for either Bryan Danielson or Homicide. They will collide on Friday in Dayton in a Steel Cage match to determine the winner of their best of five series. These two have brawled in parking lots and around buildings, they have tried to maim each other, they have used forks, brass knuckles and other weapons, now they will settle the feud on May 13th in Dayton. Tomorrow in Dayton could also be the night that history as made as James Gibson enters his second home of Dayton to challenge ROH World Champion Austin Aries. The two battled in a classic that ended in a double pin on 4/16 at "Stalemate" and now we will get a clear winner in Dayton. Tickets will be available at the door and they start for as low as $15!!! Check the Events/Directions section of ROHwrestling.com for directions to the easy to find Montgomery Country Fairgrounds Coliseum!!! May 12th: Even more gruesome than anything that could happen on Friday the 13th is what will go down this Saturday in Chicago Ridge, IL at the Frontier Fieldhouse. Chicago's own CM Punk will get his hands on Jimmy Rave inside a Steel Cage. Rave, Prince Nana and the rest of The Embassy have attacked Punk physically, emotionally and mentally. Now Punk is filled with rage. Punk's rage will be fueled by adrenaline in Chicago as he vows that he will disfigure Jimmy Rave. There is no telling how violent this will get. There will be tickets available at the door on the night of the show and they start for as low as $15!!! Check the Events/Directions page of ROHwrestling.com for complete directions and card info. Chicago will also see a huge World Title match that could see a new champion as the Aries/Gibson Friday night winner will defend the belt against the Homicide/Danielson Steel Cage winner. Just look at the possible match ups!!! They don't need any hype!!! May 12th: The Alex Shelley vs. Generation Next feud will reach red hot levels this weekend as Shelley has an opportunity to get revenge on both Roderick Strong and Jack Evans. Shelley will face Strong in a singles match in Dayton and Shelley is still trying to find a tag team partner to take on Evans & Strong in Chicago. Last time in Chicago, Evans injured Shelley by hitting a brutal 630 on Shelley's arm, which was wedged between chairs. Shelley missed both March shows due to the injury. Can Shelley get revenge on the men he used to lead or will Strong & Evans surpass the man that created Generation Next? May 12th: AJ Styles told ROH officials that he will wrestle in any kind of match Prince Nana wants on 6/18 in Morristown, NJ if it means he has a chance to get his hands on Jimmy Rave. Nana was overjoyed when he heard this news. Nana quickly signed AJ Styles to face a mystery opponent on June 18th. If AJ gets past this mystery opponent, then he will get a future match vs. Rave. Nana says this will be nothing like his past Weapons Of Mask Destruction. Nana says Styles will be faced with an old rival on 6/18. Nana said this is the man that has taken Styles to the limit in the past, but he wouldn't specify if this man has seen action in ROH or not. We'll have more on this in the future. Tickets on sale now at ROHwrestling.com or by calling 215-781-2500. May 12th: ROH is excited to announce that all new ROH event DVDs, starting with the "Back To Basics" DVD, will now feature new high resolution artwork right on the discs. This is just one way that we at ROH are striving to improve our product for you. May 12th: The ROH offices will be closed until Monday as we are on the road in the Midwest. All orders will be sent out on Monday. We will have another big ROHwrestling.com Newswire on Monday. |

No other one disc ROH release has this much actual in ring action on it!!! May 16th: "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson has quit Ring Of Honor. A despondent Danielson told ROH officials that his ROH career "is worth nothing" because he did not win the ROH World Title last Saturday in Chicago. In fact, rumor has it that Danielson is so depressed over his loss that he is leaving the United States and Japanese wrestling scenes entirely. Danielson is looking to possibly start a new career in another field. May 16th: Jay Lethal is still in a lot of pain from the neck injury he suffered at the hands of Low Ki & Homicide on 5/7 in Manhattan. Lethal says the injury will force him to miss the 6/4 Buffalo area debut, however he hopes to return the next week in Manhattan on 6/12 for the big afternoon event.
