THE KLIQ IS BACK PERIOD!!

Pre-Show:

Jeremy Borash and Shane Douglas ran down the lineup for the card

Team Trinity – Phi-Delta Slam vs. Buck Quartermaine & Lex Lovett

Phi-Delta Slam, two big heavy guys wearing fraternity garb came down with Trinity. Lex Lovett fought one of Slam off, but was clotheslined by the other and then hit with a big vertical slam. Big Till dropped an elbow on Lovett, but Quartermaine broke up the pin attempt. Lovett hit a running Buff Blockbuster and made the tag to Quatermaine. Big Till splashed Lovett off the top and scored the pin.

Your winners, Phi-Delta Slam!

Mikey Batts & Jerelle Clark vs. Team Tracy - The Harris Boys

Ron and Don Harris were called R and D, the Disciples of Destruction, and drove to the ring on motorcycles. One of the Harris started out with Clark, hitting a beel followed by a big clothesline. Clark gets tossed to the floor, where Ron Harris whipped him into the ring steps, then clobbered him with a steel chair. Mikey batts tagged in but was quickly hit with a big boot. They pressed and dropped Batts. Batts was hit with a sideslam. Clark was knocked off the apron. Batts was dragged into the corner while they beat him. They both backdropped Batts. Clark got back to the apron, but was shoved back to the floor. They hit the H Bomb on Batts for the pin. A total decimating squash.

Your winners, the Disciples of Destruction!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-They aired a series of clips with the TNA stars with Jerry Rice and other football stars from the Best Damned Super Bowl party last week, pushing Jarrett vs. Nash.

-Backstage, AJ Styles confronted Christopher Daniels. They brawled briefly, with security holding them apart.

TNA Against All Odds Main PPV

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-The PPV opened with a great video package. Mike Tenay and Don West welcomed everyone to the broadcast and noted that if NWA champion Jeff Jarrett tries to use his guitar tonight, he will lose the belt.

-They went backstage to Shane Douglas, who was outside Jeff Jarrett’s locker room. Douglas said there were a number of lawyers and NWA dignitaries inside the room. Larry Zybszko came out and said it was one of the biggest legal battles he’s ever seen inside the room, and left to find Dusty Rhodes.

-Shane sent it over to Scott Hudson, who was outside of Kevin Nash’s locker room and promo’d the championship match. Hudson said that usually Kevin Nash brings the party, but tonight’s it’s quiet because he’s focused on the NWA championship.

Petey Williams with Scott D’Amore vs. Primetime Elix Skipper

They went back and forth with Williams retreating to the floor. They locked up in a collar and elbow tieup with Williams backing himself up the turnbuckles but got tossed into the ring. Williams floats over Elix and tosses him to the floor, where Scott D’Amore struck him. Williams hit a slingshot into a hurrancanrana on the floor, sending Elix into the railing. Williams tied Elix to the tree of woe and stepped low in between his legs. Williams cut off Elix with an elbow then hit a sequence of suplexes. Williams tried to hit a bodypress off the ropes but Elix bent backwards to avoid it. Williams went to the top but Skipper caught him with a butterfly superplex.

Elix put Williams on the top rope and went to walk it and hit the hurrancanrana but Williams held on. Williams hit a spike DDT. He went for the Canadian Destroyers but Elix backdropped him. Elix went for the POD but Williams avoided. They did a back and forth pin exchange then a bridge. Elix avoided the Canadian Destroyer then hit a new move the announcers were pushing, which was a Kryptonite Krunch, for the pin. They called it “Sudden Death.”

Your winner, Primetime Elix Skipper!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-They aired a video feature on Jeff Hammond & BG Jammes vs. Kazarian & Shane.

Jeff Hammond & BG Jammes vs. Kazarian & Michael Shane

BG Jammes did a takeoff of his usual mic work, working in NASCAR references. Jammes started with Kazarian, but they trash talked Hammond into tagging in and starting the match. Hammond wrapped Michael Shane in a wrsitlock and an armwringer, then tagged out to Jammes. Hammond came off the ropes with a double axehandle off the middle ropes, then worked over Shane’s arm. Jammes tagged in and dropped a knee on Shane. He whipped Shane into the ropes, but it was reversed. Kazarian kneed Jammes in the back as he rebounded off the ropes. Kazarian hit a running charge and hit a running dive to the floor that looked awesome. Kazarian came off the ropes with a boot to the face of Jammes. Hammond tagged in and shoulerblocked Kazarian into the corner. Shane hit him from behind, then tossed Jammes out of the ring. Kazarian held Hammond for a Shane superkick, but he ducked and Kazarian was hit. Jammes pulled Shane out of the ring. Hammond raced around Kazarian’s prone body like a race car on a track then dropped an elbow for the pin.

Your winners, Jeff Hammond and BG Jammes!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-Dusty Rhodes was in the pickup truck with Tracy Brooks and Trinity. Larry Zbyszko brought in a lawyer named Dagger who tried to get Dusty to sign an “affidavit” which would void the ruling that Jeff Jarrett would lose the NWA championship if he used his guitar tonight. Dagger said that he had proof that Jarrett never used his guitar for anything other than relaxing before a big match with a song. He said that if Rhodes didn’t sign, he would get Rhodes “evicted.” EVICTED? Trinity wanted a piece of Dagger but Tracy calmed her. Rhodes blew off Dagger and told Larry to “keep him off my ass tonight.”

-They aired a video feature on Raven vs. Dustin Rhodes.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Raven

Raven and Rhodes went face to face at the bell. He spit in Dustin’s face, causing Rhodes to tackle him. They went out of the ring, brawling. Raven charged Rhodes but was cut off with a big punch. Raven tied up Rhodes’ foot in the ropes, then went to work on his leg. Raven began working over Rhodes’ hamstring. Rhodes began battling back but Raven clipped his knee. Raven tied him up with a step over toehold, but Rhodes broke free. Raven applied a drop toehold and locked in an anklelock. Rhodes nearly made it to the ropes but Raven pulled him to the middle of the ring. Rhodes made his way to the his feet and peppering Raven with a series of punches in the corner. Rhodes went for the bulldog but Raven evaded it. Rhodes clotheslined Raven. Rhodes went to the top but Raven attacked the leg. Rhodes came off the top but Raven evades it. Rhodes hit a superkick for a two count. Raven went back to the anklelock. Part of the problem with the submission was neither Raven nor Rhodes were acting as if they were fighting with all their might to either force or escape the submission. Rhodes flipped over and was able to lock the anklelock on Raven. Raven screamed. He got to the ropes, then pinned Rhodes with his feet on the ropes.

Your winner, Raven!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-Raven attacked Rhodes after the bout. Rhodes accidentally took out the referee trying to splash Raven. Raven superkicked Rhodes. He tossed a trash can into the ring and tied up Rhodes in a straitjacket, and got him in the ring. He charged Rhodes who kicked him away. Raven struck him with the trash can in the head. Raven untied Rhodes, then tied him so his back was exposed to the center of the ring with no way to escape. Raven grabbed a strap, but Cassidy Riley hit the ring for the save. He hit a flurry of punches, but was hit with the Raven Effect DDT. Raven began lashing Rhodes. Security hit the ring. Raven made the crucifix sign and celebrated as he left.

-The lights went out in the building. They aired a video feature on Tryton. Boy, the Ultimate Warrior’s logo sure looks like Tryon’s!

-They aired a video feature on America’s Most Wanted vs. Kid Kash & Lance Hoyt.

NWA Tag Team champions America’s Most Wanted vs. Lance Hoyt & Kid Kash

Kid Kash started with James Storm at the bell. Storm blocks a hiptoss and hits one of his own. Kash and Storm went back and forth, finally facing off. Kash tags in Hoyt, while Harris also tagged in. Harris tosses Storm onto Kash and Hoyt on the floor. Kash hit a hiptoss on the floor on Storm. He tosses him into Hoyt, who gets a two count. They continued to work over Storm, who tries to mount a comeback. Kash cut him off and hit a moonsault for a two count. He tagged in to Hoyt, but Storm tried to pepper his body with punches. Hoyt powerbombed him for a two count, but Harris broke it up at two. Kash went for a top rope splash but Storm got his feet up. Storm and Kash both went for high cross bodies and crashed into each other. Each man tagged their partners. Harris ducked a big boot and hit two clotheslines. A third took him off his feet. Harris hit a facejam, then hit a spinebuster on Kash. Harris held up Kash for a high vertical suplex. Kash hit a running springboard into headscissors on Harris. Storm hit the Eye of the Storm on Hoyt, then went for a swinging neckbreaker. Hoyt cut him off and hit a sideslam off the top rope on Storm. Storm kicked up at the last second. Kash went to the top but was shoved to the floor by Harris. Hoyt went for a powerbomb but Storm turned it into a hurrancanrana. Harris came off the top with an elboe on Hoty for a two count. Kid Kash grabbed the NWA Tag Team championship belt and struck Storm, who kicked up. Harris speared Kash, who rolled into Hoyt. Hoyt was going for a powerbomb but dropped Storm. Harris tied Kash in the corner. AMW hit the Death Sentence on Hoyt for the pin.

Your winners and still NWA Tag Team champions, America’s Most Wanted!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-A limo pulled in backstage. Shane Douglas tried to find out who it was, but some teenagers aka security were enough to prevent the former ECW World champion from seeing who was inside.

-They aired a video feature on Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy in the Full Metal Mayhem match.

Full Metal Mayhem: Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss

You win the match by grabbing an envelope(one of several) that is hanging above the ring, containing a contract for a NWA title match on Impact! Abyss came to the ring with a steel chair. Hardy tries to take Abyss down by coming off the ropes but Abuss shrugs his off. Abyss misses a legdrop but hits a second. Hardy tossed a pair of chairs into the ring. Hardy hits a running dive off the chair, crashing into Abyss on the floor. He slams Abyss’ head into the stairs, then tries to do it again. Back in the ring, Hardy set up a chair. Abyss shoved it away and dared Hardy to charge. He catches Hardy and tries to press slam him out of the ring to the floor, but Hardy escaped. Hardy killed him with a chairshot. Hardy tried to dive off a chair on Abyss but was slammed with a chair. Abyss strangled him with his boot, then grabbed a ladder on the floor. Hardy tried to attack him from behind, but gets tossed into the guard rail. Abyss grabbed a table from the back of the building, and stacked two together. Hardy grabbed a ladder from another part of the ring and slid it into the ring. Abyss hit Hardy to stop him, then grabbed another table, stacking them two high next to each other, four tables total. Abyss tried to powerbomb Hardy through them but Hardy escaped. Hardy came off the top rope with a corkscrew moonsault, but not before slipping first. He sandwiched Abyss in the corner with a ladder, then hit a dropkick to Abyss’ face with a chair while charging up the ladder. Hardy retrieved the ladder and set them up like a teetertooter. He placed Abyss on one end and jumped on the other side, slamming it into Abyss’ face. Abyss was beaten and rocking between the ropes. Hardy charged him, but Abyss caught him with an overhead belly to belly suplex to the floor. Hardy barely made the tables, crashing to the floor. Hardy got to his feet, selling his back. He grabbed a chair to his Abyss but had no force behind it. They battled to the ramp, where Abyss grabbed a table and set it up on the stage. Hardy grabbed him and hit the Twist of Fate. He placed Abyss on the table and climbed to the top of TNA’s set. He ripped off his shirt and did a flipping dive onto Abyss through the table. They replayed the spot several times, trying to treat it like the Elix Skipper dive from Turning Point. Hardy placed a huge ladder in the center of the ring to retrieve the envelope. It was empty. Abyss climbed to to the ring and tried to pull Hardy down and succeeded, but took forever, twice. Abyss shot Hardy out of the ring, where he frighteningly crashed through the four tables. Abyss grabbed the envelope, earning a title shot and winning the bout.

Your winner, Abyss!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-After the match, Hardy began destroying the remnants of the tables in frustration.

Team Canada’s Bobby Roode and Eric Young vs. Diamond Dallas Page and The Alpha Male Monty Brown

Team Canada made their way to the ring first accompanied by D’Amore and Johnny Devine. The numbers game seemed to be against DDP and Monty Brown from the start. DDP came to the ring through the crowd, giving the fans and up close and personal view of the former World Champion. The experience edge had to go with the former NWA Tag Team Champions, Roode and Young. This experience led them to work on DDP early on in the match preventing him from tagging in the Alpha Male.

Page eventually made his way to the corner to tag in Brown, who cleaned house once he entered the ring. The former Patriot then got hit with the infamous hockey stick on his back and was triple teamed by all members of Team Canada. Monty Brown’s strength proved too much as he hit the Pounce on Bobby Roode sending him out of the ring. DDP then hit the Diamond Cutter on Young from the top rope and got the cover for the win.

Winner: Diamond Dallas Page and Monty Brown

-They aired a great video feature on Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles

TNA X-Division champion AJ Styles vs. Christopher Daniels – Iron Man Match

AJ and Styles went back and forth with some great mat wrestling that blew away everything else on the show after the first minute. The crowd is into the match bigtime as its a TNA dream match to them, which is adding to the atmosphere. Lots of near falls. Daniels rebounded off the ropes but Styles dropkicked him out of the ring. Styles does a running hurancanrana to the floor off the apron. Styles and Daniels chopped each other on the floor, then exchanged stiff forearms. They were nearly counted out, so they jumped back in the ring. Stlyes grabbed Daniels with an armbar. Daniels scissored him with his legs but Styles leaps to his feet and armdrags Daniels. The crowd began feuding chants for each man, like they do in ROH. Daniels continued to evade Styles, only to get caught in an armbar again. AJ hit a stiff kick to Daniels chest, then followed up with several to the face. Daniels was selling the arm and grabbed his elbow as he tried to Irish Whip Styles. He ended up on the floor. Styles hit a running dropkick through the ropes on Daniels. Styles teased doing springboard plancha, then jumped down. He then springboaded again and hit the dive to the floor on Daniels. AJ went for a springboard move but Daniels pushed the referee in the line of fire. Styles tried to move but Daniels shoved him down into the railing. Daniels tossed Styles into the ring, favoring his elbow. Daniels began working over Styles with a shoulderblock and knees to the chest. He continued working over Styles' midsection, and catches him with a knee to the midsection as he comes off the ropes. Styles began battling back with a series of right hands. Daniels hit a back suplex on Styles, with Styles landing on his ribs. He tackled Styles in the ribs as he came off the ropes. The match is turning into the story of Daniels' arm vs Styles' ribs and what weakness will give first. Daniels worked on Styles neck. Styles cut off Daniels with a kick and a discus clothesline. Styles hit several spinkicks. Styles hits a DDT, then a neckbreaker for a two count. Styles ascends to the top rope but is caught by Daniels. He knocks Daniels off and goes for a 450 splash. Daniels gets his knees up and Styles catches them full force in the ribs. Daniels hits Angel's Wings for the pin.

With 15 minutes to go, Christopher Daniels is up 1 Fall to Styles' zero. Daniels continues to work over Styles for the next two minutes, but Styles continues to kick out. Daniels locks on an abdominal stretch, which plays right into Styles' bad ribs. Styles was doing a great job playing the babyface in peril. Styles finally fights back, hitting a handspring back elbow off the ropes on Daniels. Daniels got to his feet first, but Styles began working him over with kicks to the thighs and neck. He covers Daniels, but Daniels kicks up at two. Styles hits a springboard forearm off the ropes, but Daniels again kicks out. Daniels springboarded off the ropes with a flip into a DDT, hitting one of Styles' signature moves on him. Daniels tries to suplex Styles, but he lands on his feet and hits the Pele Kick. That was awesome. Styles peppers him with forearm after forearm, but is caught with a Samoan Drop out of a fireman's carry. Daniels goes for the Best Moonsault Ever. Styles moves and hits a German suplex. Styles hits Daniels' own finisher, Angel's Wings for a two count. It was close enough that the fans booed the count. Styles signalled for the Styles Clash but Daniels drove him into the turnbuckles. Styles rolled up Daniels and scored the pinfall.

With 6 minutes to go, Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles each have one fall. Daniels threw Styles into the steel ringpost. Styles was busted open and out on his feet. Daniels pulled him into the ring and began beating on the cut with three minutes to go. Daniels began headbutting him over and over, then dropped a kneedrop across Styles’ forehead. He began measuring Styles’ cut and hitting him with closed fist punches to work over the cut. Daniels hit the STO but Styles kicked out. With two minutes left, Daniels kept beating on Styles. He covered Styles, but again, AJ kicked up. With a minute left, Styles exploded with a series of offense. Daniels locked on the Koji Klutch with Mike Tenay explaining he learned it in New Japan. They had an awesome closeup of Styles struggling to survive as the blood ran out of the cut, like the famous Steve Austin shot vs. Bret Hart at Wrestlemania. The bell rang as the time limite expired.

Jeremy Borash announced a time limit draw. Christopher Daniels grabbed the mic and demanded a sudden death overtime, saying he had Styles beat., Dusty Rhodes said that they had Sudden Death and the match was restarted.

Styles was out with Daniels continuing to beat on him. Styles drove him to the mat with a unique DDT like move, but Styles kicked out. Daniels put Styles on the ropes, and punches him hard in the face. Daniels went for a top rope hurrancarana but Styles shoved him off. Styles came off the top. Daniels went for Angel’s wings, but Styles evaded and turned it into the Styles Clash for the pin.

Your winner and still TNA X-Division champion AJ Styles!

Interviews, Segments, etc.

-Backstage, Jeff Jarrett asked Dagger if he got Dusty Rhodes to sign the paperwork. Dagger said that he hadn’t. Jarrett said that he would have to take matters into his own hands.

-TNA missed a chance again to have a nice post match moment with the crowd reaction, but at least caught shots of the beaten and exhausted Styles and Daniels leaving the ring. An amazing match that saved the PPV and made it easily worth the $30 pricetag, in my opinion.

-They aired a video feature on Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash.

NWA champion Jeff Jarrett vs. Kevin Nash – If Jarrett uses the guitar, he loses the title

After the in ring introductions, Nash kneed Jarrett and leveled him with several shots. Nash continued to work over him until Jarrett began kicking him in the knees and legs. Nash and Jarrett hit each other. Nash clotheslined Jarrett to the floor. Nash gave Jarrett snake eyes on the announcer’s table, with Jarrett hitting the NWA belt with his face. Nash elbowed him on the head. As Nash got back in the ring, Jarrett kicked the ropes, crotching Nash. He peppered Nash with several rights. The crowd chanted “Drop the title” at Jarrett. Nash and Jarrett battled through the crowd to the backstage area. Nash threw Jarrett into the catering table. Nahs picked up the table and slammed it into Jarrett’s chest. Nash slammed a chair over Jarrett’s back, then tried to choke him with it. When Jarrett got to his feet, he was busted open. They battled back through the crowd, tossing Jarrett back into the ringside area. Nash exposed the ringside matsand grabbed Jarrett, who low blowed him. Jarrett grabbed a guitar case from under the ring., but pulled out a cello. Are you kidding me? Jarrett slammed it over Nash’s knee, then slammed Nash’s leg into the ringpost twice. Jarrett brought the guitar case into the ring and put Nash’s leg in it, then slammed the case shut. Jarrett locked on the figure four leglock. Nash tried to fight it, and finally makes it to the ropes. Nash actually had some great facial reactions during this match. Nash scissored Jarrett in his legs and began driving his leg into Jarrett’s face. Jarrett made his way to the ring and hit the big boot and a sideslam, but Jarrett kicked out. Nash hit snake eyes in the corner on Jarrett, then did it a second time. He went for a third but Jarrett escaped and shoved him into the corner. He hit Nash in the leg and went for the cello. Nash grabs it but the referee stops him from using it. Nash went to powerbomb Jarrett on the cello, but hit the referee with Jarrett’s leg as he swung him. He powerbombed Jarrett on the cello but there was no referee to count the pin. Billy Gunn (or as they called him, formerly known as Billy Gunn in the WWE) hit the ring and attacked Nash. Jarrett made the cover but Nash kicked out. The referees threw Gunn out of the ring. Sean Waltman hit the ring and hit the X-Factor on Jarrett, then hit the bronco buster. Nash covered Jarrett but he got his shoulder up at two. Gunn got in the ring with the NWA title, but BG Jammes grabbed it from his hands. Gunn looked shocked as Nash hit him from behind. Jarrett hit Nash with the belt but Nash kicked up at two. Jarrett hit the stroke but Nash kicked up. Jarrett went to the top but Nash caught him with a chokeslam. Jarrett lowblowed Nash and hit the stroke on Nash for the pin.

Your winner and still NWA champion, Jeff Jarrett!

This was actually a really entertaining bout and a hell of a lot better than anyone would have expected going in.

Thanks to Wade Keller for the following:

-- Scott Hall had been showing up for TNA tapings clear-headed, and depending on who you ask he either behaved or didn’t behave after the shows. However, as previously reported, on his overnight trip to Korea he got so messed up that he still hadn’t physically recovered as of last week.

The word going around right now is that he is still with TNA and he will be back. Right now he is “taking care of himself”, and it is unknown how long he will be out of action. Hall doesn’t deny that he cannot control his impulses and he admits he is an alcoholic. He practically begs his friends not to let him go on long trips at this point in his career, as that is when he most often slips. However the big money offer from Korea was made and he took it, but it ended up backfiring when he got drunk on his way back.

--------------------------

They should fire him (with Nash, DDP and Raven) and keep moving.

TNA is supposed to be the NEW face of wrestling, but is signing old fucks.

I watch TNA every now and then, things I like about it are America's Most Wanted, Raven and Christopher Daniels and AJ Styles.

I don't like Jeff Jarrett, the guy's just really got no swing as a main man as far as I'm concerned, I just can't make myself give two craps about him.

I don't like the way they're just trying to be the place that's not the WWE, rather than they're own device. I think it's kinda childish referring to themselves as "the alternative" in the first place. The quality of performers that they have there, like Daniels, Styles, AMW... should be enough with the funding that they have to allow them to be a little more creative instead of trying to do what WCW tried to do. Okay, WCW succeeded for a while. But it still ended up being a total joke at the end of the day.

Anyway, I'd like to see Chris Daniels beat AJ Styles for the X title. I think that would be good.
