PORTLAND, OREGON - MARCH 2010

HARDKORE WORLD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
Ladder Match
ADRIAN TANNER JR. vs. Jaime Romino

=========================

[As the bizarre opening chords to Heaven's a Lie begin, the pitch black Tron is suddenly illuminated as two red pupiled eyes open, and then suddenly as the song kicks it up a notch lightning blue strobes light the arena and the Tron snaps into a series of scenes of Jamie in action pulling off a series of high risk maneuvers. But, half way through each maneuver the image changes from real life images to images done in a fantastic animated style reminiscent of Japanese Anime. The action cuts are interspersed with the opening images of the red eyes flashing over a variety of bizarre scenes: a purple desert, a verdant colorful forest, a supernova exploding in space and more. Jamie hits the top of the ramp and tosses off his jacket. Carlos Diaz follows him out hyping Jamie. Jamie then bolts to the ring and slides under the bottom rope, crawling over to a camera that is at canvas level. His red eyes flash under the intensity of the blue lights and he brings his face right up to the camera, shooting it a coy smirk before kipping up to his feet.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith upset Cecil Kennedy earlier in the night in that I Quit match. Romino hoping to make it a clean sweep.

Phil Blauer: Things got a little testy at the end there, it may carry over into this match.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Carlos Diaz blames Steve Wilkos for neXt losing their Hardkore World Tag Team titles to Nextwave.

Phil Blauer: Typical. Blaming the white man for everything.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Jaime Romino went on a vision quest to get over his fears to prepare for his first title match here in Hardkore America.

Phil Blauer: I liked the part where he worked for the monkeys.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Monks.

Phil Blauer: I would have been pissed though if I had gone to an Indian Chef like he did and the guy didn't at least make me some fried bread...

Guillermo O'Bannon: Indian Chief.

Phil Blauer: Some maize, something!

Yolanda Ando: He wrestles in black wrestling pants that are textured to look like black jeans, and a black wife beater.

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "The following ladder match has a 30 minute time limit and is for the HARDKORE WORLD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! Your referee is Ron Reid. Featuring first from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Standing 5 feet 9 inches tall; Weighing 182 pounds...JAIME ROMINO!!!

[The Rose Garden cheers! Black and white spliced footage from the opening of the 2007 Casino Royale movie appears on the tron, with Adrian Tanner CGId into Daniel Craigs role. Adrian walks into a bathroom and sees a dead body that looks a lot like Jagi Shiro lying on the floor. Adrian reaches down to pick up something off the floor and the dead body suddenly pops up and shoots, but Tanner is faster, turning in a split-second and shooting him point blank in the head. Orchestra music starts to play as the bullet flies through the bodys head and shoots into the James Bond Gunbarrel screen. Words flash around the bullet:

N E X T W A V E

[Loud fireworks explode from the stage as Tom Sawyer by Deadsy kicks in and Adrian Tanner Jr stands in the middle of the stage, arms out to his side and head covered by the hood of his ring jacket. Phil Blauer: Yeah Cherry Dr Pepper style. My neice partied harder the first time she used the potty all by herself.

[Tanner walks down the ramp towards the ring, slapping hands with a few fans before he pulls the jacket off as he slides under the ropes. He mounts the nearest turnbuckle and makes a gun motion with his left hand. He cocks the "gun", "fires" then jumps down and begins his pre-match warmup.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner Jr. says neXt had nothing to be ashamed of in that match in Albuquerque, and that they'll be back on top.

Phil Blauer: Just not tonight.

Guillermo O'Bannon: That's right because he says the Hardkore World Light Heavyweight title is the most important thing in his life and it'll take alot more then vision quests to pry it away from him.

Phil Blauer: Hey, he warned him.

Yolanda Ando: In ring, he wears short, almost-to-the-knee length "metallic effect" half-red and half-blue shorts, with "AT" inside of a gold Superman logo on both sides of the legs of the tights. He also wears elbow and knee pads the same colors as his tights for the night.

[The hooded man jumps up and dropkicks Tanner, forcing him to crash throat first into the ropes! The audience boos]

Phil Blauer: Whoa!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Who the hell is that?!

[As Tanner flies off the ropes clutching his throat, the man spins him around booting him in his gut, double underhooks his arms, hoists him high and dumps him on his skull with a brainbuster]

Guillermo O'Bannon: I know who that is!

Phil Blauer: Really? Because I still dont have a clue.

[The man leaps to his feet ripping the hood from his face to reveal Jagi Shiro causing a chorus of shocks and boos to erupt all over the Rose Garden!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Jagi Shiro is BACK folks!

[Shiro standing over Tanner removes his hoodie to show a white wifebeater underneath, and strapped around his waist the EEW Junior Heavyweight Championship belt.]

Phil Blauer: Ohhes got something shiny

Guillermo O'Bannon: That he does!

[Jagi removes the title, as Tanner rolls onto his stomach clutching his skull, without hesitation Jagi pounces on him and straps on a crippler crossface! Shiro roars as he tries to rip Tanners head off, as Tanner screams in pain]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Somebody needs to help Tanner here, he just went through a hellacious ladder match.

Phil Blauer: Who? Kennedys still recovering from his match! I think Evans went to the hospital with Poke the Clown, and you know Donovan aint allowing his slave Karnage to come out here to save the day!

[Shiro continues to wrench at Tanners neck, till Jaime Romino and Joshua Smith return to the ring and double basement dropkick Jagi!! The Rose Garden roars as neXt pull Shiro up]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Jagi Shiro just gets double snap suplexed out of his boots!

[Jagi Shiro rolls out of the ring and snatches his EEW World Light Heavyweight title belt. He holds it up in the air as neXt help Adrian Tanner up to his feet]

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: neXt may have a nice series going here with Nextwave, but they both hate the Shiros much, much more.

[Shiro poses raising his belt high, as he jack jaws the fans, turns to Tanner one final time screaming, This is NEVER over you son of a bitch!! NEVER!! before exiting the ring throwing his title over his shoulder and heading up the rampway with a smile on his face, at the top of the rampway he looks back at the ring one final time, and then motions to his waist promising World Light Heavyweight Championship will return there soon as he heads through curtains to the back. Adrian Tanner Jr. clutches his arm and shoves Joshua Smith away. The audience buzzes with confusion]

Phil Blauer: I think the adrenaline of the match and the subsequent assault by Jagi Shiro is still running high.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Jaime Romino moves in but Adrian Tanner Jr. snaps a Daytripper superkick under his jaw!

[The crowd roars and Adrian Tanner Jr. rolls out of the ring, holding his elbow to his chest. Joshua Smith crouches over a dazed Jaime Romino]

Guillermo O'Bannon: neXt and Nextwave looking to finish this and I can think of nowhere better than Palm Springs Punishment 2010!

[Cecil Kennedy comes out to back up Adrian Tanner Jr. as the four men lock eyes from the rampway]

PALM SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA - JUNE 2010

PALM SPRINGS PUNISHMENT 2010

HARDKORE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
60 Minute Iron Man Match
NEXTWAVE vs. neXt

========================

[Dream Theater's "In the Presence of Enemies Pt 1" (cued up at the 5:08 second mark) begins playing as Adrian Tanner Jr. and Cecil Kennedy step through onto the stage. Each make their way to opposite sides of the stage and look out to the fans. Both are wearing blue windbreaker jackets with a black and gold "Superman" logo on the back with "NW" spray painted in gold in the middle. Adrian has on his usual metallic blue shorts with "AT" encased in a gold Superman logo on both sides, his face obscured by the hood of his jacket, while Cecil has black cargo pants with white trimming spelling "KENNEDY" down the sides of each legs, with his jacket hood down]

Guillermo O'Bannon: All of the men in this match have seen a lot of each other over recent months.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: It was in Albuquerque, New Mexico a few months ago that Nextwave defeated neXt for the Tag Team gold.

Phil Blauer: But then Romino got some revenge on Tanner the show after and beat him for the Light Heavyweight title. Not only that but Joshua Smith beat Cecil Kennedy on that same show too.

Guillermo O'Bannon: The fact that these guys are contesting gold shows just how closely matched they are.

[They make their way down the ramp, stopping near the edge. Adrian lowers his head, and then raises his arms and head and flames explode from the stage behind them. They slide into the ring and take their jackets off then mount opposite corners. Adrian makes a gun motion with his hand, while Cecil makes an 'egg' with his hands on the other corner. Adrian 'cocks' and 'fires' the 'gun' and then they both jump down and begin their warm-up routine.]

Yolanda Ando: Cecil is wearing cargo-pants colored mostly in black, with white trimmings and cyan-colored letters spelling his last name down the side of the shorts/pant leg. His boots match the coloring too, with the boots colored mostly in black with white lacings and no lettering. Adrian wears green metallic effect shorts with two green and white Green Lantern logos on either side of the legs. On one side the logo has AT inside it, on the other is NW. He wears black elbow and kneepads, and black boots with a green stripe outline and white laces. To the ring he wears a matching green metallic effect warm up jacket with the same design as the shorts. Underneath the jacket he is wearing a black t-shirt with the Nextwave logo on the front and Fear is not a # written on the back. The hood of the jacket covers his head and the top of his face as he makes his way down to the ring.

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "The following contest is a 60 minute Iron Man match and is for the HARDKORE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS! Your referee is Ron Reid. Featuring first from Sunnyvale, California; Standing 6 feet 1 inches tall; Weighing 234 pounds...CECIL KENNEDY!!! From Tucson, Arizona; Standing 6 feet 2 inches tall; Weighing 226 pounds... ADRIAN TANNER JR.!!! They are the current HARDKORE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS... NEXTWAVE!!!"

[The fans cheer loudly! Then a horizon appears on the Tron as the arena is bathed solely with waving blue lights. The ground is composed of nothing but black sands beneath a purple sky. Just then, a radiant orange sun starts to peek up from the horizon as The Beginning is the End is the Beginning by the Smashing Pumpkins starts to play. As the song builds, the following images are seen on the Tron in this order:

The spinning wheel of a tricycle that has been toppled over. A drop of blood drips down from one of the spokes.

A small huddled mass of a child sits deep in a corner. An orange light marks the opening of a door, and then the light is eclipsed by a massive figure of a man.

Now, we are shown broken glass on pavement, with the alternating red and blue lights that are characteristic of a police squad car refracting off the many shattered pieces.

Next, we see a mirror being held up to a face, but we can only make out the back of the head of the person holding the mirror aloft. His hair is blond, but streaked with blood, and when the mirror is brought up to reflect his face, we find that the mirror has already broken.

When the song hits the 18 second mark, we snap into a series of slow motion action shots featuring Jamie Romino and Joshua Smith that get faster and faster until the song hits the 1:06 mark and Jamie and Joshua explode out of the back as the neXt logo appears on the screen. They are wearing matching ring gear: white wrestling pants with black hoodies. Their pants and their hoodies are both covered with jagged scar-like symbols. Their names are written down their left pantlegs, and their right pantlegs have neXt written down them, with a big red X.

The back of Joshuas jacket has a 7 logo on it, and underneath it says this is who I am. The back of Jamies jacket has a smiley face on it with a big jagged scar running across the lips and it says beneath it this is what we do.

As the song continues Jamie and Joshua slap the fans hands as they make their way into the ring and both slide under the ropes in tandem. The camera is at mat level and Jamie crawls towards it, smiles and winks at it before kipping up to his feet. Joshua follows just behind, picking the camera up and snapping his sharp teeth at it. They both then go to their corner and wait for the bell.]

Yolanda Ando: Joshua Smith has medium length hair that's a mix of brown and black in color. He also has very sharp teeth. Josh has multiple scars on his back. The most noticeable of these scars runs from his left shoulder to his right shoulder, then down to his left hip to form the number 7. Josh doesn't wear a shirt when he wrestles, but wears a black jacket down to the ring. He wrestles in long black pants that have a white number 7 on the right leg and the design of a person's spinal column with bone wings sprouting out of it on the left leg. He has black boots and his wrists are taped.

Wild Bill Kasal: Introducing their opponents, the challengers, Hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Standing 5 feet 9 inches tall; Weighing 182 pounds... he is the HARDKORE WORLD LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... JAMIE ROMINO!!! His partner is from Washington D.C.; Standing 6 feet tall; Weighing 200 pounds...JOSHUA SMITH!!! ...This is NEXT!!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: This is a huge match for all those involved. To be involved in the World Tag Team Championship match on Palm Springs Punishment is big in anyone's book.

Phil Blauer: This one's bigger. They get an hour of airtime tonight.

[Referee Ron Reid rings the bell. All four men look at each other with the tension clear. Tanner steps out for Nextwave, whilst Romino starts on the apron for neXt.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: So it's Cecil Kennedy and Joshua Smith getting this marathon match underway. Cecil immediately flips Smith over with a hip toss and clamps on an arm bar. Joshua Smith doesn't stay grounded for long, however, turning into the pressure and thumbing at the eye of Kennedy.

[Kennedy steps back, but manages to recover in time to duck the clothesline from Smith. Cecil Kennedy flips Smith over with a hip toss again and applies the very same arm bar.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Great move by Cecil Kennedy; adament that Smith is going to start this match fighting off a hold.

Phil Blauer: These guys all have an hour to wrestle. If Kennedy can do some damage to that arm, that's a long time that Joshua Smith is going to have to cope with an injury for.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner applauds and Jamie Romino shouts encouragement to their respective team partners. Joshua Smith is showing the discomfort on his face, as Kennedy has this effective arm lock held in tightly here, and tweaks on it some more.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Kennedy is trying to get an early submission. It certaily wouldn't hurt the defending champions to take the lead; it would leave neXt having to get two falls to walk out with the gold.

Phil Blauer: That's right, a tie goes to the champions.

[Smith battles back to his feet, and catches Kennedy with a few right hands. He then whips Kennedy into the ropes and flattens him with a missile drop kick on his return.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith firing back into life here; he springboards off the ropes with a flying back elbow, rocking Cecil Kennedy. Smith takes Kennedy in a secure front face lock and tags in his partner Jamie Romino. The Hardkore World Light Heavyweight Champion goes right to work laying in a boot to the ribs of Kennedy.

[Romino snapmares Cecil Kennedy over and follows up with a flipping neck snap. He claps his hands around Kennedy's face for a chin lock, burying his knee in the small of the back.]

Phil Blauer: That's the Blau-lock!

Guillermo O'Bannon: It's just a regular chin lock, Phil.

Phil Blauer: That's what they call it these days?

Guillermo O'Bannon: It's been around for decades.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: And it's still as effective as ever, sir!

[Romino wrenches up on the hold he has under Kennedy's chin which causes Kennedy to grimace with pain. Kennedy tries his best to prize Romino's fingers from his chin. Referee Ron Reid asks him if he wants to submit a fall, but he refuses.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino strikes a forearm across Kennedy's face before releasing the hold. Romino applies a half nelson, perhaps looking for a facebuster of some kind but Kennedy quickly turns out of it and spins Romino into a hammerlock.

[Kennedy wrenches up on the hammerlock and the pain shooting through Romino's arm is evident on his face. Kennedy forces him into his corner and tags in Tanner.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner drops Romino to the canvas with a bulldog!

Phil Blauer: Tanner has a score to settle here, after Romino defeated him for the Light Heavyweight title.

Guillermo O'Bannon: He certainly would love to get a fall over his foe.

[Tanner mounts Romino and throws some punches in his face, shouting "It's MY Title!!"]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner applies a figure four arm lock, working the same arm that his partner just had chickenwinged.

[Romino groans but refuses to submit. He manages to apply a head scissors to Tanner and break the hold, sitting up to apply pressure on Tanner's neck.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Great counter by Jamie Romino here, and the Light Heavyweight Champion applies as much pressure as he can to that head scissors, looking to perhaps secure a fall that would take him closer to double gold tonight.

[A "let's go Tanner!" chant breaks out in pockets. Tanner pushes up on Romino's leg, escaping from the hold. Both men spin back to their feet and the audience applauds.]

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Adrian Tanner is one of the best Tag Team wrestlers around, previously teaming with the likes of Syberus and Andrew Karnage. He has an ability to gel with a team mate unlike most other wrestlers we see.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino and Tanner lock up dead centre, with Romino taking Tanner into a headlock. Tanner backs Romino into the ropes and whips him across the ring, but Romino comes flying back at the Arizona native with a shoulder, knocking Tanner down!

[Romino follows up with a dropkick, which rocks Tanner back into the ropes. As he charges in, Tanner pulls down the top rope which sends Romino over the top.]

Phil Blauer: Romino tumbles to the concrete below!

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: That's not healthy.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner takes a breath and rolls out of the ring in persuit of Jamie Romino. Joshua Smith comes to his partner's aid, but he gets taken out by a diving body press from Cecil Kennedy, taking him over the metal barricade and into the audience!

[A front row fan in a Kilroy Evans T-Shirt gets knocked off his seat, spraying soda everywhere. Tanner picks up Romino from the concrete floor, who elbows him in the mid and rattles his head off of the steel steps.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The Light Heavyweight Champion back in control as he rolls Adrian Tanner into the ring. Romino whips Tanner into the ropes and standing dropkicks him right in the face! Romino grabs a hold of tanner and bulldogs his face into the mat.

Referee Ron Reid: 1... (Tanner kicks out.)

[Battling behind the barricade, Joshua Smith clotheslines Cecil Kennedy over it and back onto the concrete floor of the ringside area. Kennedy's body lands with a smack on the unforgiving surface, and Smith nips over the barricade.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith is taking it to Cecil Kennedy here, he waits for Kennedy to get on all fours and cracks him with a kick on the side of the head!!

[Smith climbs back up onto the ring apron and is tagged in by Jamie Romino.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith pulls Adrian up into a half nelson hammerlock and Jamie Romino comes off the ropes with a running STO!

[Joshua Smith pulls up Adrian Tanner by the hair. He and Romino place him on top of the corner post, and Smith pulls him back into a tree of woe as Romino steps out.]

Phil Blauer: That's the Blau-of-woe!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Enough, Phil. Joshua Smith takes a run and lauches himself into a double foot dropkick to the face!!

[The audience lets out and "ooohhh!" as Tanner flops to the canvas. Smith pulls him back into the centre of the ring and falls on for a cover.]

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... (Tanner rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith pulls Adrian Tanner back to his feet- but Tanner bursts to life, clasping Smith around the head and dropping back into the Revolver!!!

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... 3!!!

[Hardkore Hall cheers as Tanner rolls off the pin, Romino, half in the ring, was too slow to react.]

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "Ladies and gentlemen, scoring by pinfall in the 16th minute, Nextwave lead 1-0!"

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner caught both Smith and Romino by surprise in equal measure there!

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: The defending champions take the lead; that means now neXt have to come up with at least two falls in order to win the titles!

[Tanner walks over to Cecil Kennedy who is now back on the ring apron, and tags him in. Kennedy goes straight to work on Joshua Smith, who is pulling himself up wearily by the ropes.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Cecil Kennedy looks for a back suplex but Smith holds onto those ropes for dear life. Joshua Smith catches Kennedy with a back elbow, rocking the Nextwave member back.

[Joshua Smith leaps up with a springboard and takes down Kennedy with a leg lariat.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith stumbles over to his corner and uses this opportunity to tag in his partner. Smith needs to recover after that revolver.

Phil Blauer: And neXt need to level the score line as quickly as they can. The more that clock ticks down, the more the nerves will begin to show on the challengers. They don't want to let this chance slip at Palm Springs Punishment.

Guillermo O'Bannon: They certainly don't. Jamie Romino whips Cecil Kennedy to the ropes and catches him with a floating neckbreaker! Romino rolls Kennedy onto his front and applies an STF!

[Hardkore Hall roars as Romino pulls back on the STF. Kennedy groans in agony but refuses to submit.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The pain must be agonising for Cecil Kennedy. Adrian Tanner is begging him not to submit and withstand the pain, for the sake of the titles!

[Tanner reaches out for a tag but Romino has Kennedy dead centre. Referee Ron Reid asks Kennedy if he wants to give up, but Kennedy refuses. Romino grins up on Kennedy's chin even further.]

Phil Blauer: Look at the pressure Romino is putting on his neck here!

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: He could break it!

[Cecil Kennedy reaches for the ropes, using his free arm and leg to do all he can to shuffle towards respite. Hardkore Hall breaks out into a "neXt! neXt! neXt!" chant. Finally, Kennedy manages to take a hold of a bottom rope.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: What strength and determination showed by one half of the tag team champions, Cecil Kennedy there! He refused to give up and drop the fall.

Phil Blauer: But there was a lot of damage done to his neck there.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino snaps Kennedy down with a neckbreaker!

[Romino rolls back to his feet and executes a standing shooting star press.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: What a move!

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... thr(Cecil Kennedy rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: No! Romino was close to equalizing the score there, but Kennedy still refuses to drop that fall. Romino nips up onto the top turnbuckle and waits for Kennedy to get back to his feet...

[Kennedy stumbles back up and Romino flies through the air with a lariat. But hearing the shout from Adrian Tanner, Kennedy ducks and Romino lands awkwardly.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Good teamwork there from Nextwave, Kennedy heard the call of his teammate and managed to avoid the contact, Cecil Kennedy pulls up Jamie Romino, but Romino drops him with a jawbreaker! Romino sprinboards off the ropes and backflips into a moonsault onto Kennedy! Wayfarer!!

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... 3!!!

[The crowd cheers and chants "JA-MIE!! JA-MIE!! JA-MIE!!". Romino rolls off of the cover and raises his arm.]

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "Ladies and gentlemen, scoring by pinfall in the 25th minute, neXt equalize 1-1!"

Guillermo O'Bannon: And there we have it, we're all square again in this iron man match but remember as always a tie goes to the champions, so neXt still have to score another fall if they want those tag team titles tonight.

Phil Blauer: They should stay on the offensive and try and score another pin as quickly as possible. Kennedy will still be reeling from that moonsault Romino landed.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino hoists Kennedy into the air and holds him, could be looking for a brainbuster here, but Kennedy wriggles free and lands back on his feet, thumbing Romino in the eye out of sheer desperation and tagging in Adrian Tanner.

[Tanner races in and drops Romino with an STO. He charges at Joshua Smith and knocks him off the ring apron, Smith hits the crowd barricade on his way down.]

Phil Blauer: Hey!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner ensuring that Romino's parter isn't able to help out anytime soon. Cecil Kennedy scoops Romino up and drops him with a gutbuster on his knee, holding him there with his chest on Kennedy's knee. Adrian jumps off and lands a double boot stomp to Romino's back!! They call that GUTS! You Ain't Got None!

[Romino rolls around the ring holding his stomach in agony and kicking his feet. Tanner forces him onto his shoulders.]

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... thr(Romino kicks out.)

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Ironically, Romino needed guts to kick out there.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner flips Romino over with a Snap Suplex. Looking to go airborn now, Tanner nips up to the top turnbuckle. Romino gets back to his feet, and Tanner flies off with a cross body, landing it and driving whatever air Romino had left out of his body!!

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... thr(Joshua Smith pulls Tanner off the cover.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Smith drags Tanner out of the ring and lifts a knee into his ribs, before ramming him shoulder first into the steel corner post! Joshua Smith DDTs Tanner on the concrete!!

[The crowd let out an "oooohhhh!" as Smith begins digging his sharp teeth into Tanner's forehead.]

Phil Blauer: Sick!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Cecil Kennedy arrives on the scene and with Smith crouched with Tanner on the floor, races in with a shining wizard!!

[Jamie Romino flattens Kennedy on the concrete with a lariat, before rolling Tanner back into the ring. Romino lifts him back up and seats him on the top turnbuckle.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino could be looking for something special here, he's going up top, hooking up Tanner for a suplex and going all the way to the top turnbuckle...

Phil Blauer: Could be superplex time.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino nails the superplex!! Did you hear that impact?

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: But Romino has clearly hurt himself executing the move. He can't make the cover right away.

Referee Ron Reid: 1...

2...

Guillermo O'Bannon: Ron Ried starting his count; a double count out means nothing in the context of this match but if one man could get to his feet first, they could take a fall here!

3...

4...

5...

Phil Blauer: It doesn't look like either of them are going to be able to make this one.

6...

7...

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Romino is stirring! neXt could take the lead if he makes the count!

8...

9...

[Romino grabs a rope, but doesn't make it to his feet.]

10!!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: A double count! In an Iron Man match!!

Phil Blauer: So that's what... 2-2 now?

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "Ladies and gentlemen, by double count out in the 37th minute, the scores stand at 2-2!"

Phil Blauer: Called it.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Whoa.

Guillermo O'Bannon: The scores may have increased but the situation remains the same, as Jamie Romino and Adrian Tanner do finally find their feet now.

Phil Blauer: If only one of them count have done so a few seconds ago, that was a golden chance there.

[Jamie Romino tags in Joshua Smith, Tanner likewise with Cecil Kennedy. Both men enter the ring and Smith ducks a clothesline, snapping Kennedy down with a neckbreaker.]

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... (Kennedy kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith straight on the offensive, clipping the side of Kennedy's head with a kick!

[Smith drags Kennedy back to his feet and whips him to the ropes. He plants him in the centre of the ring with a spinebuster.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith springboards off the middle rope with a lionsault!

Phil Blauer: We're well into the second half of this match now and soon enough energy levels will take a toll on all of these guys. An hour is a very long time to go in a wrestling match.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Smith rattles a right hand into Kennedy's face. He pulls him up into a rib breaker!

[Joshua Smith places Kennedy's face on the bottom turnbuckle then charges in with a dropkick to the back of his head. The crowd let out an appreciative "ooooh!!"]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Cecil Kennedy looks dead weight! Joshua Smith could have him here.

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... thr(Kennedy gets a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith scoops up Cecil and bodyslams him. Smith tags in Romino who immediately drops an elbow onto Kennedy's chest.

Phil Blauer: neXt need to have one eye on the clock. There's still plenty of time left but those seconds always seem to tick away faster when you're the one needing the pinfall.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino lifts Kennedy above his head and holds him there for a moment before crushing him with a Brainbuster!

[Tanner looks on concerned on the outside of the ring as Romino pulls Kennedy into a front face lock and drops him with a DDT.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Jamie Romino is having his way with Cecil Kennedy now, this could be a hairy moment for the Nextwave because any kind of fall now puts neXt back in poll position.

[Adrian Tanner has seen enough and enters the ring, taking down Romino with a flying clothesline. Joshua Smith steps through the ropes but is immediately knocked over them with a daytripper superkick!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith is sent tumbling over those ropes by Adrian Tanner!

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: What a kick!

[Romino backrop suplexes Tanner onto his neck. Tanner rolls out of the ring holding his neck.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner is taken out! Romino grabs Cecil Kennedy's head in a front face lock and steps up onto the second turnbuckle, leaping off for a Tornado DDT!!

[After spiking Kennedy's head into the canvas, Romino hooks a leg.]

Referee Ron Reid: 1... 2... 3!!!

[The crowd roars as Romino falls off the cover and pumps his fist.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: There we have it! As things stand, we're headed for new Tag Team Champions!!

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "Ladies and gentlemen, scoring by pinfall in the 49th minute, neXt lead 3-2!"

Phil Blauer: neXt have just over 10 minutes to hold on for the win.

[Jamie Romino rolls Cecil Kennedy out of the ring, and he drops to the floor below with a unceremonial smack.]

Phil Blauer: That's a smart move by Romino. Buying himself and Joshua Smith valuable seconds there perhaps.

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: By putting Kennedy outside the ring, it means Tanner will have to make sure he goes back in before he can be tagged.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Joshua Smith is only just recovering from being sent tumbling over that top rope by Adrian Tanner. Tanner grabs him by the head and bounces it off of the steel barricade. He then takes one of those Tag Team title belts, and pelts Jamie Romino across the face with it!

[Romino collapses to the floor, his eyebrow split open from the belt shot and now pouring blood. Tanner rolls Cecil Kennedy back into the ring, and steps up onto the ring apron.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner shouts for a delerious Cecil Kennedy to make the tag, who eventually gathers his barings just enough to do so. Nextwave are really on the back foot now.

[Tanner enters the ring, waiting for one of his opponents to get back inside. Romino slowly rolls back into the ring and Tanner goes quickly on the offensive, applying a single leg boston and dragging Romino to the centre.]

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "55 minutes have elapsed, 5 minutes remaining!"

[Hardkore Hall cheers, claps, and rattles the barricade as Tanner rocks back on the single leg boston. Jamie Romino is in agony as his quads are being stretched to the limit.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner could force a submission here, the pain is obvious on Romino's face!

Phil Blauer: All Nextwave needs to do is equalize, and the titles stay with them!

[On the outside, Cecil Kennedy brains Joshua Smith with a steel chair, drawing a huge "ooooohhh!!" from the ringside audience.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Cecil Kennedy props Smith up on that metal barricade, steps up onto the ring apron and leaps off with an asai moonsault!

Phil Blauer: The impact contorts Joshua Smith's back over that barricade and both men collapse to the ground!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Meanwhile, Adrian Tanner continues to torture Jamie Romino with that single leg boston!

Phil Blauer: His leg must be on fire right about now.

Guillermo O'Bannon: And yet still, Romino refuses to submit! Adrian Tanner simply leans back further, bending Romino's frame like a pretzel.

[Jamie Romino balls his fist up when the temptation to tap out gets stronger. Referee Ron Reid continues to ask Romino if he wants to submit, but he continually says no.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Romino pushes up off the canvas, blood streaming down his face! He begins crawling toward those ropes, desperate to find some respite from this hold.

Phil Blauer: The clock is ticking. Tanner needs to get him back into the centre of the ring.

[Romino grabs the bottom rope! Hardkore Hall erupts and referee Ron Reid forces Tanner to break the hold.]

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "59 minutes have elapsed; 1 minute remaining!"

Guillermo O'Bannon: Nextwave have their backs to the wall! Cecil Kennedy and Joshua Smith are completely out of it on the outside of the ring, looks like this one is between Tanner and Romino.

Phil Blauer: And Tanner doesn't have a lot of time left.

Guillermo O'Bannon: A weary, bloodied Jamie Romino pulls himself up with the ropes, limping on that injured leg, who knows what damage was done with that boston crab.

[Tanner grabs Romino, but Romino thumbs him in the eye before collapsing on his leg.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner blinded momentarily! Just how big of a difference could that possibly make?!

[Adrian Tanner rubs his eyes and wipes some sweat from his face. Jamie Romino staggers back to his feet and gets caught with the Revolver! The crowd erupts but the bell rings!]

"Wild" Bill Kasal: "Ladies and gentlemen, the 60 minute time limit has elapsed; therefore your winners with a score of 3 falls to 2 and NEW HARDKORE WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS... NEXT!!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: They have done it! Sheer determination by Jamie Romino at the end of this match, to hold on despite the pain and claim the Tag Team titles!!

[The Beginning is the End is the Beginning by the Smashing Pumpkins comes back into play as Tanner looks on and shakes his head. Joshua Smith can barely move on the outside as he has his half of the tag titles draped over him.]

Phil Blauer: neXt have won back their Tag Team gold at Palm Springs Punishment in a brutal marathon match tonight.

Guillermo O'Bannon: All four men gave their everything here tonight, but neXt have done it; reclaimed the gold they lost to Nextwave back in Albuquerque.

PHOENIX, ARIZONA - JULY 2010

JONNIEPALOOZA~!

HARDKORE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE MATCH
JAMES FIERCE vs. Adrian Tanner Jnr.

============================

Guillermo O'Bannon: Up next folks, we have our main event. Newly crowned Hardkore World Heavyweight Champion James Fierce puts his title on the line, as he takes on Arizona's own Adrian Tanner Jnr, right here at the US Airways Center in Phoenix.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Fierce stunned the world last month in the main event of Palm Springs Punishment when he upset Matthew X for the title. It's his second erign after having a brief spell with the gold in 2006.

Phil Blauer: He'll be hoping it lasts a little longer this time.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: If he beats Tanner here tonight, he'll have achieved that. It was at his first hurdle that Fierce fell last time losing to Robert Hunglestein III in his first defence.

[Stuck in the Middle With You by Stealers Wheel starts to play over the PA system and the crowd reach their feet as The Hillbilly Assassin James Fierce slowly makes his way to the ramp, with the World Heavyweight Championship belt resting over his shoulder. He slowly strut dances his way down the ramp, while a glimpse of a smirk can be seen through his awesomely thick beard. He then enters the ring, and poses for a moment, and awaits his opponent.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The crowd giving Fierce a good reception here in Phoenix.

Phil Blauer: On any other night, he be their favourite. But he's going to have to live with being the next best thing tonight with Adrian Tanner Jnr. challenging.

Guillermo O'Bannon: There's no doubt about that.

Wild Bill Kasal: The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a 30 minute time limit; and is for the HARDKORE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP! Introducing first, from Wayne County, West Virginia; standing 2'3 and weighing 285 lbs... he is the HARDKORE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... JAMES FIERCE!!!

[The crowd applaud before Show No fear. by Madball starts up, and the crowd pop heavily. Green and white spotlights illuminate the stage. The green spotlights make a circle through the crowd while the white spotlights pulse in tune with the music for a very dizzying effect, as Adrian Tanner steps out, head down, most of his face obscured by the hood of his ring-jacket.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: A great ovation for Arizona's own Adrian Tanner Jnr. here in Phoenix!

[Adrian looks down and then throws his arms out to the side as a huge blast of pyro explodes from the stage behind him. He pulls the jacket off as he slides into the ring, mounts the nearest turnbuckle and makes a gun motion with his left hand. He cocks the gun and fires, then jumps down and begins his pre-match warm-up.]

Phil Blauer: Tanner will be hoping he this that devastating Revolver at just the right time.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Adrian Tanner has had a couple of failed shots at the gold as of late. Most recently at Hardkore Helloween when he missed out on his chance against Matthew X.

Phil Blauer: So if Fierce loses, he once again fails to make a single defence of the World title. If Tanner loses, it's yet another challenge that's slipped him by. That's pretty depressing.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Nothing like starting off on a high note.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: It's okay, sir. Neither of these guys are you.

Phil Blauer: Yeah that's true. Okay, let's get this desperate fight to leave without complete shame underway.

[Phil cups his hands around his mouth.]

Phil Blauer: Don't go home to your families if you lose! They won't wanna see you!

Wild Bill Kasal: And his opponent, the challenger, hailing from Tuscon, Arizona... standing 6'2 and weighing in at 226 lbs... ADRIAN TANNER JNR.!!!

[The US Airways Center lets out a huge pop. Someone honks a vuvuzela.]

Phil Blauer: Lord, tell me that's not the next bandwaggon.

[Referee Mike Peters rings the opening bell and the crowd cheer again. Both men start circling each other, rolling their wrists and waiting for the lock up.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The two men collide dead centre locking up, kicking off their battle over the Hardkore World Heavyweight title! Fierce uses his immense strength advantage to shove Tanner back down to the mat, but Tanner displays his agility but rolling through and nipping back up to his feet.

[The US Airways Centre applauds. Tanner cracks his neck and stretches back on a rope, before they circle each other again.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner ducks underneath this time and tries for a back suplex but Fierce too big and powerful easily blocks the effort and elbows his challenger off. Tanner slips under his clothesline effort though and hits a back heel kick!

[The audience cheers as Fierce stumbles back into a corner, before checking his lip for blood and grinning and Tanner.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce realises he's in for a fight here.

Phil Blauer: But the man from Wayne County isn't going to shy away from that.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce comes back out of the corner but Tanner hits him with a front drop kick! Tanner takes down Fierce with a drop toe hold and applies a side head lock, grinding up on the chin of the World Heavyweight Champion.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Tanner calls himself the best Light Heavyweight in the business. Being a former two-time Light Heavyweight Champion here in Hardkore World he has a point. But if he beats Fierce here tonight he joins his old running buddy Syberus in the ranks of cross weight Champions and may just prove himself the best pound for pound wrestler in the game.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner still has this side headlock cinched in, but Fierce gets back to his feet and takes Tanner over, landing him on his neck with a back suplex!

[Tanner pulls himself up shaking off the cobwebs. Fierce charges at Tanner with a shoulder in the corner but Tanner slicks out of the way and Fierce hits the turnbuckle.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner hits a step up enziguiri which dazes the big man! He takes him down with an armbreaker!

Phil Blauer: Tanner working the arm that just went shoulder first into the turnbuckle.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian stomps on the back of that shoulder and applies a fujiwara arm bar, yanking up on the shoulder joint. But James Fierce is too close to the ropes and is quick to escape the hold.

Phil Blauer: Tanner give that shoulder one last pull before the referee forces the break.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce drags himself back up, the champion effortlessly lifts his challenger up into a samoan drop! Tanner arches his back in pain but doesn't get any respite here as The Hillbilly Assassin squuzes the life out of him with a bear hug!

[Tanner grimaces as Fierce deprives him of oxygen, crushing his ribs.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce flips Tanner over with a belly-to-belly suplex!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Tanner kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: The Hardkore World Heavyweight Champion on the offence now, catching Adrian Tanner with a knee lift as he gets back to all fours. Fierce pulls Tanner into a front head chancery now and nails repeated knee strikes before dropping tanner with a DDT!

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: The no name combo has a name!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce batters Tanner with a spinning back fist. The champ follows up with a side russian leg sweep.

[Fierce pulls up Tanner's legs and turns him over into a boston crab. Fierce leans back and Tanner howls in pain.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Submission attempt in the early stages here as Fierce looks to bend his challenger clean in half!

Phil Blauer: An effective move. Tanner has a lot of weight to drag with him if he's gonna reach those ropes.

Guillermo O'Bannon: But that's exactly what Adrian Tanner needs to do, if he's not going to lose this title match before it really gets going. Fierce tells the referee to check with Tanner for a submission, but nothing doing from the Arizona man.

[The crowd start chanting Let's go Tanner! *clap clap clapclapclap Let's go Tanner! *clap clap clapclapclap. Tanner pushes up off the canvas and starts moving toward the rope.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner lacks the leg strength to spin the bigger James Fierce off of him here so he's going to have to break this hold the old fashion way, but Fierce drags him back to the centre of the ring!

[The crowd groan in dismay, not really wanting to boo Fierce but still supportive of their home state man. Tanner pulls at Fierce's legs and reverses it into a boston crab of his own!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Great thinking by Adrian Tanner, and the challenger leans back for all he's worth now! Trying to bend at the back of James Fierce and stretch out his quads at the same time.

Phil Blauer: Fierce is trying to counter though. He uses his leg strength to spin Tanner off of him.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner rocks Fierce with a roundhouse kick, and comes off the ropes with a swinging neckbreaker!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Fierce kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Adrian Tanner goes up top, the crowd alive now as their man gets in his offence, and he leaps off the top to land a perfect cross body!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Fierce pushes Tanner off.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: The Hardkore World Champion kicking out with authority there. His challenger comes off the ropes with a lionsault, but Fierce moves and Tanner lands on his feet. Dropkick by Tanner!

[The dropkick sends Fierce tumbling down into the ropes. Tanner begins to choke him with the bottom rope.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner showing his aggression and desire to walk out champion here. He double stomps Fierce on the back!

[Tanner whips Fierce to the ropes but he counters, Tanner bounces back and flies through the air with a flying clothesline.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The champ rocked, but he bounces back to take Tanner's head off with a lariat!

[The crowd ooohh as Tanner hits the deck with force. Fierce pulls Tanner up into a gutbuster then lifts him onto his shoulders.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce crushes his challenger with a running fireman's carry brainbuster!!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Tanner rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: James Fierce applies another bearhug, this time from behind, really trying to squeeze the life out of his challenger now.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Fierce claims that Adrian Tanner wasn't worthy of a title shot having already slipped up with his previous attempts. To which Tanner replied he was no less worth a title match than Fierce was.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner swings his arms out looking for those ropes, but the Hillbilly Assassin is relentless with this bearhug and doesn't let Tanner anywhere near them.

[Tanner kicks out behind with a low blow. He knocks Fierce off his feet with a spinning heel kick.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner lands a lionsault this time!

[Fierce holds over holding his ribs after Tanner lands the moonsault. Tanner leaps up with a rocker dropper.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Great move by the challenger, he needs to keep this momentum building and really get James Fierce on the back foot now that he's got the chance. The Arizona crowd is really heating up now.

[Tanner charges out of the corner with a bulldog, taking Fierce down. He quickly ascends the turnbuckle before leaping off with a graceful moonsault!]

Phil Blauer: Textbook Blau-sault!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Another moonsault, driving all of Tanner's weight into Fierce's midsection.

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Fierce gets a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: But no, it's not enough to win Adrian Tanner the Hardkore World Heavyweight Championship here in his home state.

Phil Blauer: Fierce looks like he's gonna barf from those moonsaults being hammered home into his mid.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: That blood and sweat stained canvas might get another ingredient added; half digested homewrecker hotdogs.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner drops the champion with a jawbreaker! He runs off the ropes with a shining wizard!!

[Adrian Tanner climbs up to the top turnbuckle and crouches there, waiting for his moment as Fierce makes his way steadily to his feet, holding his stomach.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The champion looks in a bad way. Adrian Tanner leaps off the top and catches him with a hurricanrana!

[The US Airways Center applauds. Tanner steadies himself and delivers a senton leg drop over Fierce's face!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Great move by Tanner displaying his acrobatics once more! And the crowd love every second of it!

Phil Blauer: They sure are. It's getting a little Tuesdays with Morrie in here.

Guillermo O'Bannon: What does that mean?

Phil Blauer: I don't know. I've just been watching a lot of Will and Grace lately.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Front dropkick to the face by Tanner!

[The US Airways Center cheers on Adrian Tanner as Fierce rolls over holding his face. Tanner steps back and waits for the champion to get back to his feet but as Tanner charges in Fierce catches him with a back elbow.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce comes crashing in with a running heart punch, driving his fist into Tanner's chest with reckless abandon! Fierce drops Tanner with a single arm DDT! Gary Wolfe's favourite move!!

[Fierce sits up for a moment, catching his breath and wiping some sweat from his face. He scratches his beard and pulls himself up with the ropes.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Finally, the Hardkore World Heavyweight Champion cuts off his challenger's offence.

Phil Blauer: It's a good thing he did. Tanner had a good flow going there.

Guillermo O'Bannon: But now he has time to collect himself.

[Fierce pulls Tanner up into a Full Nelson slam. He whips Tanner to the ropes and runs across him with a bulldog]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce drives Tanner's face into that mat again. The champion beginning to carve another opening for himself here.

[Fierce hooks up Adrian Tanner and flips him overhead with a Fisherman's Suplex!]

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Tanner kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: But no, this one isn't over just yet. Fierce rolls out of the ring, and pulls himself a steel chair out from under the apron!

Phil Blauer: He's got some cruel intentions. And they'll almost be as bad as the movie.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce measures Tanner and waits for him to get to one knee, before bending the frame of that chair over his head!!

[The crowd let out an almighty oooohhhh in sympathy for their state native. Fierce opens the chair and positions it over Tanner's neck.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Look at Tanner, blood seeping from his face after that horrendous chairshot- and this might be worse, as the champion leaps off the top rope with a double stomp to that chair!!

former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Tanner could be dead!!

[Fierce lifts Tanner into a torture rack and crushes his bleeding skull into the mat with a Burning Hammer!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Ohh! Did you see Tanner's face snap back there?! This could be all.

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... thr(Tanner rolls up a weak shoulder.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: But no! It's hard to believe after that Burning Hammer and the way Tanner's head hit the ring floor, but this match continutes.

Phil Blauer: Tanner has his instincts to thank for the fact that he's still in this match and in with a chance at becoming World Heavyweight Champion.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce positions that chair on the ground and hits a rocker dropper, driving Tanner's bleeding face into the chair again! Christopher Reeves driver!

[The crowd let out another ooohh! then chime in with a let's go Tanner! chant. Fierce focuses and drags Tanner back to his feet, forcing him back into a corner.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: James Fierce lifts his challenger up onto his shoulder, and places him onto the top turnbuckle before climbing up the ropes instead. Looks like Fierce is going to attempt a super plex here.

Phil Blauer: That really would be the end of Tanner's challenge. He barely got out of the last pin attempt.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner needs a second wind, and he starts off by fighting off James Fierce on the top of that corner post! Tanner shoves Fierce back and he goes crashing to the mat!

[Tanner takes aim at Fierce, waiting for the right opportunity then leaping through the air with a missile drop kick to the face.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner firing back up! Tanner blasts Fierce with a Daytripper superkick! The crowd go wild!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... thr(Fierce kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: Oooh and no! Fierce survives with his title in tact for the moment. Adrian Tanner steps out onto the ring apron as Fierce gets back to his feet. Tanner springboards off the middle rope with a springboard shooting star splash!!!

Phil Blauer: Amazing!

[The crowd pop as Tanner lands the high risk move but both men are down on the canvas.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner hurt himself with that one.

Phil Blauer: All for the good of the cause.

Guillermo O'Bannon: It may not be if the referee ends with a 10 count here. He's checking to make sure neither man is getting up. If this ends on a double count, then of course James Fierce retains the belt!

Referee Mike Peters: 1...

2...

3...

Guillermo O'Bannon: This doesn't look good. Tanner is bleeding buckets as well.

4...

5...

Phil Blauer: A count out here makes no difference to Fierce.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: But for Tanner it's disastrous. Although its better than losing out right it would be the second time he's drawn a Hardkore World title match in recent months after going to a time limit with Matthew X at Irish Rage in Belfast.

6...

7...

Guillermo O'Bannon: Both men begin to pull themselves up in opposite corners!

8...

9...

Phil Blauer: And they're up, just in time.

Guillermo O'Bannon: A split second from a double count out there. This match continues as Tanner wipes yet more blood from his face. James Fierce meets him in the middle of the ring with a crushing spinebuster!

[Fierce, beginning to breath heavily now, lifts Tanner up for a pendulum back breaker.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce clocks Tanner with a roaring elbow!

Phil Blauer: Looks like he's going for the elbow!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce up top, looking to land that Picture Perfect Elbow drop and put this defence to bed- but he sees Tanner moving away and has to abort.

[The Phoenix crowd breathes a sigh of relief. Fierce stands on the outside of the apron and goes to grab Tanner but Tanner hotshots him off the top rope and Fierce falls to the concrete below.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner launches himself over the top rope with a suicide dive, driving Fierce back into the barricade!!

[The ringside fans are on their feet as the action gets closer. Tanner props Fierce up against the barricade and lashes some knife edge chops across his chest, followed by some stiff boots in the ribs. Tanner grabs a hold of the ring bell and measures Fierce, before glancing it off his head with a ding!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce must be knocked out from that ring bell! What a shot!

[Tanner holds the bell up for the ringside fans to see and they cheer and applaud. Tanner grabs the bigger Fierce in a half nelson and drives his head into the ring post.]

Phil Blauer: Tanner is taking it the champ now, trying to knock him out completely. He's managed to draw blood.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Yes, the challenger isn't the only one losing blood in this match now as James Fierce is bleeding freely from that hit by the ring bell. Tanner places Fierce's head on the metal ring steps, nips up onto the apron and drops a leg over his head!!

Phil Blauer: This is an unrelenting assault. Tanner must feel as though he's close now.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Drop toe hold onto the concrete!

[The crowd chants Ta-nner! Ta-nner! as a pool of blood runs from Fierce's head onto the concrete. Tanner pulls up Fierce and grabs his head.]

Phil Blauer: Tanner going for the Revolver onto concrete!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: But Fierce blocks it and hits and STO!!

Phil Blauer: It looks like that was all on instinct. Fierce doesn't know where he is, and blood is streaming down his face and into that beard now.

Guillermo O'Bannon: The champion was really put through the fire there, but the challenger is down also, holding the small of his back after taking that STO to the concrete floor.

[Fierce sits leaning back on the steel steps and wipes his face before pulling himself up via the ring apron. He walks over to Tanner and hooks his tights to pull him up, rolling him into the ring.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Both of these men have given so much, it must be a matter of minutes now before the next big move- or possibly mistake, decides this match. Fierce hooks Tanner and delivers an implant DDT! He doesn't allow Tanner any time to recover and follows up with a high angle back suplex!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... thr(Tanner rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: No! Unbelievably, Adrian Tanner is still in the match!

[Fierce stalks Tanner but Tanner drop holds him face first onto the bottom turnbuckle. Tanner waits for Fierce to get back up before executing a springboard thrust kick!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: The challenger still has enough left in the tank to pull off a move like that! He doesn't want to stop here though, nipping back up to the top turnbuckle.

Phil Blauer: He really caught the champ with that kick.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce is staggering around the ring and Tanner leaps off to catch with with a senton, taking him down to the mat with all his weight!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... (Fierce kicks out.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: But it's going to take more than that to keep the Hardkore World Heavyweight Champion down!

Phil Blauer: Fierce is as tough as they come. Tanner just needs to keep the momentum on his side.

Guillermo O'Bannon: He looks to do that now, waiting for Fierce before pulling off a springboard backflip and catching Fierce with a DDT!

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: Incredible!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner elects not to go for a pin cover right away, climbing back up to the top of that ring post, gathering himself before executing an amazing 450 legdrop right onto Fierce's face!! The Wakeup Call!!

[The crowd pops huge and resounds with an oooohhhhh as Tanner drives his leg into Fierce's face at velocity. Tanner rolls around holding his leg.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner not making the cover right away. He obviously felt the pain there himself.

Phil Blauer: He's losing valuable seconds which could have been used to count Fierce's shoulders to the mat.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Finally Tanner drags himself over and hooks a leg.

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... thr(Fierce rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: The world champ looks completely out of it, but Adrian Tanner Jnr. his challenger isn't looking to great either.

Phil Blauer: He clearly gave himself a deadleg there pulling off that high risk 450 leg drop.

Guillerm O'Bannon: Both men pull themselves up with the ropes, you sense this match could be almost at the point of one of these guys breaking. Tanner rocks Fierce back with repeated blows to the head, into a corner before nipping up and flipping him across the ring with a hurricanrana!

Phil Blauer: I can't believe he can still pull these moves off.

Gullermo O'Bannon: Especially since he's clearly limping now. Fierce stumbles back to his feet, but somehow manages to catch Tanner off guard with a spinebuster!

[Fierce begins climbing to the top. A worried bustle filters through the crowd.]

Phil Blauer: He's going for it!

Guillermo O'Bannon: He's going for it, but Tanner gets back up and is quickly up top, he catches Fierce off balance and crotches him on the top of that turnbuckle!

[Tanner steadies himself before leaping up and scissoring Fierce's head, going for a 'rana from the top, but Fierce blocks it and uses all of his strength to hoist Tanner's weight back up in that position, before leaping from the top and crushing him with a powerbomb!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Oh my!! Tanner was broken in half there!

Referee Mike Peters: 1... 2... thr(Tanner rolls a shoulder up.)

Guillermo O'Bannon: No!!! Somehow, someway, Tanner survives!!

Phil Blauer: That was a devastating power bomb!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce sends Tanner over the top rope to the outside. The Arizona native is almost spent here surely.

[Fierce picks up Tanner on the outside. He pulls him into his legs looking for a piledriver on the concrete, but Tanner blocks it and drops Fierce with a low blow!]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Tanner gets his hands on a steel chair provided by one of his state faithful, and blasts it over Fierce's head!

[The crowd cheers as Tanner collapses. Both men are down on the outside and aren't moving.]

Guillermo O'Bannon: Mike Peters is checking with Adrian Tanner and James Fierce- it doesn't look like either man is giving him much of a response, if any.

Phil Blauer: He's going to have to count at some point.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Ring outs have never been much of a commodity here in Hardkore World, but new owner Syberus has instructed the referees to use them more frequently.

Referee Mike Peters: 1...

2...

Guillermo O'Bannon: We could be witnessing the end of the match here.

3...

4...

Phil Blauer: This would be the third match tonight to end without a pinfall or proper submission!

5...

6...

Guillermo O'Bannon: That's if neither man can answer this count.

[The crowd stomp their feet and rattle the barricade, urging both men to get back into the ring. Tanner and Fierce both start to stir, trying to pull themselves up with the ring apron.]

7...

8...

Guillermo O'Bannon: This is going to be close!

9...

[Fierce rolls into the ring.]

10!!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: He made it! James Fierce made it, but Adrian Tanner was just a split second too late!

[The US Airways Center is clearly disappointed but applauds as Stuck in the Middle with You comes back into play. Both men lay motionless as the Hardkore World Heavyweight title is placed on James Fierce.]

Wild Bill Kasal: In a time of 26 minutes 45 seconds here is your winner via count-out and STILL HARDKORE WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION... JAMES FIERCE!!!

Guillermo O'Bannon: Fierce was able to survive Adrian Tanner's home field advantage and superb aerial threat here tonight, to retain his Hardkore World title, albeit by a count out that he won by a hair.

Former prowrestling.com internet reporter Matt Boone: That marks his first successful defence of the gold over both of his reigns!

Phil Blauer: But what will the future hold for Adrian Tanner Jnr? After missing out on his recent opportunities for the Hardkore World title, he may not get another chance for quite some time.

Guillermo O'Bannon: Folks, it's been an incredible show here in Phoenix as we dedicated this night of action to Hardkore Jonnie Valentine. I'm sure he's sat at home proud that these guys are going to carry on the fight without him. Join us next month in Colorado for the 2010 Frank Marano memorial tournament!

Phil Blauer: Be there!

[Fade on James Fierce, just coming to and holding the title belt close to his chest.]
