Icon 27 + 9 = 36

Analysis:

A couple of rung changes. Black Star moved in ahead of Freebird and That Damn Cool passed them both plus Punisher. A good number of matches this week as we saw six from Raw. Almosr everybody scored the same. Either you had between 7-9 or 12-16. Similar scores could've resulted in the few rung changes, but the real reason we didn't see too many because it was the first week after the ppv. Last week was a high scoring week so most people were set in their places that week. The playing field was spread out a little more. The fact that there were a lot of singles matches on Raw for the tournament really helped in getting a lot of points for a single wrestler. Raw didn't get any of it's silly jumble main event faces together against main event heels for a pointless tag match we usually always see.

We were over this before. Once you pick someone and the next person picks after you it is finalized. I understand that there may be more cuts soon which will result in more people asking if they can change their guys, but it is just not fair to everyone else if you can change someone a few weeks into a season.

Punisher brought up a few points where I really didn't get into responding mostly due to my lack of time online. He brought up how a release is different from an injury because it's unexpected and out of nowhere so it should be treated differently. I have to disagree with that. If anything, it's the injuries that are unexpected and releases are fairly well telegraphed. Veigns has done absolutely nothing noteworthy in WWE for months. It was just a matter of time?

Hardy? Yeah, great talent where someone may have seen that as a surprise. Not really, if you consider WWE's concern with having him and the other two all in the same locker room. With Edge getting pushed to the moon and Hardy on the injury block, his release was fairly well telegraphed.

Punisher also suggested that if the release happens six weeks in that maybe you should be able to change your guy. Well, what if I were to pick a guy not under contract during the draft, waited six weeks, and then said, "hey this guy is not in WWE, I'm going to take someone else." And then pick someone who is in the middle of a huge push, but maybe wasn't around during the draft. Not rally fair to others.

I hope that helped Freebird. I gave this long response because I knew this topic would come up again. Bottom line, when we pick guys we don't know what's going to happen to them. They could get injured, released, demoted to Heat, whatever. Part of why I like this game is it's a game of chance. I drafted Jannetty hearing rumors he was signed, but I haven't seen him yet. It's all chance.

It's what we call "The Ned Phenomena," where seemingly worthless picks score a hell of a lot more than a lot of others.
