I forgot about the trades part. This makes more sense now that it wasn't just main eventers getting switched around. I get it now. The big name moves are on the tv shows for ratings and the smaller name moves go up on the website so only the die hard fans can follow that. And with London, Juvie, Psychosis, and Super Crazy in the cw division, I really don't see Simon Dean winning that title for a long long time. I do agree he makes a nice addition to the division, though. I don't get why they traded Chavo either. I thought he and London would at least tag for a while against the Mexicools before he eventually turned on him and joined them. |

Speaking for the bigger trades, I think Smackdown! can have Mark Walburg back in return for Batista. I seriously despise Cena's character and don't care to see him on my favorite show. I think Christian should have stayed also. He could have easily been the World Champion and held the fans with him. He's got potential to be BIG someday. Good to see RVD back on RAW, however. The smaller trades baffled me slightly. However, whenever WWE does things that make our mouths drop, they always at least attempt to retaliate. We'll just have to wait it out and see what they're gonna do with these new little odds and ends on each show. And WHERE THE HELL is Eugene? |

Simon Dean as CW champ?????
Dont know where you got that but he is not as light as he was in ECW. I thinik the best thing to do with him is make him Nova again and team him up with Richards and maybe recreate the BWO.Chavo to RAW is worthless. There is no one for him to face. I believe Danny Basham and Doug wanted to seperate because they are really good singles. They were fueding with eachother in OVW when they first came as a tag team. |

Well I think the idea here was more to find a way to bring the WWE title to Raw and the world title to Smackdown. Whether you like Cena or not, he holds the title with all the linneage and I never thought it made much sense to have the more important title on the secondary show. Cena's title not only dates back to the beginning of the WWE, but also all the way back to Gotch and Hackenschmidt etc and the old roots of the NWA world title. Remember, WCW merged the NWA world title with theirs and that was merged with WWE's. The belt Cena holds is probably the oldest title in North America, perhaps the world. I know there's another title that owns the right to the name, but I'm strictly speaking of linneage not who pays the copyright to call a title NWA. The point I'm trying to make was they needed to bring that title over to Raw because wrestling fans just aren't buying Smackdown as the equal. Aside from that, a champion switch on shows makes for fresh title feuds/angles. |

i think it would o mainly been the fresh idea's / angles on both shows ... as Batista and Cena both now have a whole new set of main eventers to play with as for Simon Dean ... i'll stick with him as the CW champ ... i give it 3 months ... and BWO was a joke .... they got over by accident .. .and wuold last 3 weeks on WWE TV Simon Dean > Nova with a drawn on beard doing poses and playing second fiddle to the biggest jobber on wwe tv (stevie richards) |

No. WWE may have their share of diva searches, masterlock challenges, and fart poetry but they do have an underlying sense of tradition ringing in their ears at times. The main reason the titles switched was the reason I gave though you're free to believe what you want. If WWE was just looking to change up Cena and Batista they had many opportunities to drop the titles first. The better belt being on Raw was the main motive and the fresh ideas and angles was more just a bonus. |

I'm hearing "They tout out some old superstar that was hot in the 80s occaionally. *coughHOGANcough*" That's what I think of when I hear the phrase "They do have an underlying sense of tradition ringing in their ears at times." But please keep in mind two things. One, I'm not a regular watcher. And Two, I tend to be a bitter cynic when it comes to big companies trying to make a buck or three. GW, WoTC, M$ and, yes, the WWE all fit under that catagory. |
