Kami's Lookout

Sorel's wandering had led him here, overlooking a valley in which a couch with two girls seemed to be moving on its own. He had seen more bizarre things in his time, but such abnormalities were an amusement to him. "These are the beings that escaped from that Valkyrie's creatures?" he wondered out loud. "Quite remarkable. Let's see what I can whip up from the remains." Sorel made his way to the array of corpses which signified the great battle that had transpired. His magic went to work, drawing out the souls trapped within the carcasses and weaving them together. On and on he went, adding more and more spiritual energy to the mix, as if he were concocting a potion. The souls churned together and took shape at last, taking a vague appearance of a massive bird. "And now for part two...!" Sorel went on, his glowing white palms shifting to a scarlet red. The lifeless bodies that littered the ground were torn apart by this new magic, their organs and flesh being manipulated by transcendent forces. The organic tissue came together, piece by piece, much like how the Scrap Chimera was formed. This one would not be made of metal, but it was of little consequence. The spiritual creature was slowly enveloped in a cocoon of flesh, fur, and feathers, becoming a true monstrosity of the sky. When all was said and done, the ghastly thing gave a horrid cry and launched itself through the air. "Ah, the Scrap Vulture, a fine work," Sorel admired, watching it soar in the direction of his targets. |

Rachel took one last sip of her tea and dismissed her cup throwing it over the barrier. She then slide off from her seat and landed on her feet, hitting her dress so that the wrinkles and crumbs would disappear from sight. She then reached her hand out to Scipio and helped her off of the couch as well before hitting the couch on the head, forcing it to transform into an Umbrella. "Such a displeasurable shriek should be silenced with some sort of large Mace being rammed down it's bearer's throat, then gutted accordingly. How terribly rude and impertinent is it to interrupt the bonding of two elegant females by enjoying the finest of tea and sweets with such a disgusting sound and even more grotesque figure. Prepare to be punished. " She scolded. Rachel lifted herself into the air and hovered above her barrier, Scipio would need more room to fight. But if she released the barrier the undead and beasts who weren't used in the creation of such monstrosity would attack them from all angles. So instead she shot more "seeds" around the area. She shot them so that they formed a circle around them. She then floated back down to Scipio and caste her spell. The Lightning tore down violently and they became encased in a circle of protection that ranged between a mile and a half. "Are you prepared Scipio? We'll wait for it to make it's move." She said. |

Figures something new would pop up just as she was questioning about all the beasts. "Alright," she growled quietly, katars in hand and positioned to strike when necessary. |

Letting out another wail, the Scrap Vulture circled the electric cage containing its prey before three objects fell from its main body and dug beneath the ground. After a few moments, those things erupted from the soil behind the two girls, revealing themselves to be its "children". The miniature vultures launched themselves at their enemies, their wings covered in sharp barbs. |

Rachel stood staring up at the Vulture as is circled around them, she didn't bother to turn around to counter the Barb Vultures because the moment they came near them, They were suddenly caught in a Sphere of destructive lightning. George The XIII was very protective of Rachel and her comrades, so much that Rachel didn't need to watch her back most of the time. Rachel smiled with comfort and a little conceitedness as George took out the Barb Vultures. Rachel began to think in her head what she needed to do to defeat this disgusting animosity. She summoned her cannon once more and began to fire at the bird. The "Seeds" shot out faster than how they did before. She was sure they bird would be hit. |

Or they would have hit, if Sorel hadn't intervened. He had devised a way to get around that wall of lightning, and sent a massive burst of shadow energy at the Scrap Vulture, tearing the creature to pieces in a brilliant explosion. But, as was the case with his Chimera, it would not take long for the beast to repair itself. Sorel's magic guided the fragments of the Scrap Vulture, the souls fueling it pouring through the cracks of the barrier like water through a sieve. The organic material patched together again, encasing the spiritual energy and bringing the terrifying monstrosity new life. The electric sanctuary was now an arena. It was times like this Scipio wished she was more proficient in long range weapons. Bows and arrows were fine tools of the trade, too, weren't they? Testing her luck, the elf dropped one of her katars and stared down upon it. Everything else in the world was washed away with the image of that single blade. With her concentration rising, the katar slowly rose, shakily at first, but with a sharp glare towards the bird creature it took off at great speeds. At such a rate it could be expected that the blade would pierce right through it. |

The blade slashed cleanly through the coating of the creature, but succeeded only in angering the Scrap Vulture. The spiritual power from within the cocoon of flesh went to work immediately, gradually repairing its wounds. The Vulture, meanwhile, lifted off the ground and beat its wings fiercely, determined to blow Scipio into the wall of lightning behind her. "You're such a hateful fellow, aren't you? You throw a tantrum similar to that of a child. No..You cannot be compared to something so close to humanity. You're more something of a wretched demon with no sense at all." Rachel scolded as the wind that tried to blow Scipio away suddenly subsided as Rachel twirled her dress and spun her umbrella towards the Vulture. One of her abilities was to control the strength and direction of wind. no matter where it came from. The Vulture soon found itself caught in the very wind it created, She concentrated the wind towards the ground from above the vulture. Seemingly trying to pull it towards the Lightning Barrier as well. |

Shikigami...it was a helpful ally. Maybe it could help now? Who knew? The girl knew at least she could try the new ability her..."friend" had given her. Kit glisted next to her and she smiled. "I guess we could try to also and help? What kind of...demons are these?" She asked. "Oh wind...please help," she sent her Shikigami spell towards the wind already near vulture. The wind came in from another angle and helped try and blow the vulture lighting barrier. ((OOC: Yeah...sucks. But heh..at least I posted. >_>) |
