We have a favorite game thread, but I figured it would be fun to see what we are all playing currently (if anything).

I recently got back into Age of Mythology and I forgot what a really fun game this is. Just going through the campaign is good times and in skirmishes against the AI I love the Greeks and their myth units. Colossi for the win!!

I also have gotten back into Starcraft (1) in honor of Starcraft 2 and until I can afford the new game, I'm refreshing my memory of the storyline so far, though since I lack Brood War, I'll probably have to look the plot up on the internet :(

Bioshock 2, it's pretty great.

I just recently bought Mass Effect 2. Similar to Kotor, but I think the combat and characters are a tad better. Though I must admit, the limitations on the powers/feats made me pretty mad (you only get a max of about four powers).

And as always, I'm rocking out to Medieval II: Total War, with my favorite mod Stainless Steel. I'm keeping up with my Mongol campaign, and just started a Kingdom of Jerusalem one to help with the crusader story I'm writing.

Oh, and on the Xbox my brother just bought I have picked up Fable 2, which I must admit is very addictive

So, just got Mount and Blade Warbands  It's a little dated, but the RPG elements are very well done, if a tad simplistic. Combat is a nice blend of RTS and RPG, and the open ended gameplay style is addictive to say the least. You wander around for the first few days, but once you get a nice part going and vassal to a king it really picks up. The sheer choices available are great for fans of in-game roleplaying :yay:

After uninstalling Shogun 2: Total War due to excessive crashing, I decided to go a little retro and downloaded Heroes of Might and Magic V. I now spend a good two hours (minimum) of every day killing elves with my demon armies...

My computer would burn up in a fiery explosion if I tried to play Shogun 2. I guess I'll just stick to Medieval 2 with the graphics turned low.

Right now I'm playing God of War III. I just got a PS3 recently, and I've never played a God of War game before, so the experience is... Interesting.
But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history.

You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.)

I've been replaying KotOR lately. It's made me realize how much I missed Bastila.

Playing around with making my own mod for Oblivion. I've been pulling scripts and quest information from the Construction Set and studying them - filled my PC with pages of notes, sound files, scripts, and a ton of utilities I may never figure out how to use, lol.

I've always preferred KotOR 2 myself, for whatever reason. Despite it being incomplete and a bit buggy, I just like it more. It must be Visas Marr that makes me want to continue playing, because it certainly isn't Kreia.

The first one definitely had one of the best twists ever though, so I have to give it props for that. Now if only KotOR 3 would come out.

Both Kotor games had their values. The first had a better story and more convincing characters, but the second had many more features and a far superior combat system. Though to be fair, the combat in both could've been much better. And have fun waiting for the third one, all of their energy is probably going into the MMO they've released.

Malx, I didn't know you were a modder. I tried my hand at it once, a while back. Failed miserably, the worst vaporware ever, I would say. But the good news is it got me started in writing. The thought and story I put into the mod were just too good to waste, so I developed it into a full blown novel. To this date it's the longest thing I've ever written.

I'm a total war fan. Which means I am now conquering europe in both the classical and medieval eras. Oh yeah, I'm also conquering the galaxy with vader. The Empire is always At War it seems.

Currently I've been playing a lot of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue since I'm too cheap to buy the full game :P

I was just playing Space Rangers 2 again earlier, and I seem to be on Morrowind again. I had been playing Star Wolves quite a bit, but I am also eager to get that space back on my SSD so I can start on other things.

Also gave Sword of the Stars a shot again, but truth is, it is way too addictive for my time right now and a little more complicated than I often have time to deal with.

What Star Wars game are you playing, if you don't mind me asking. Is it RTS like Total War? Because if you know a good Star Wars strategy game, I must have it. :P

I'd be willing to bet it's Star Wars: Empire at War. There's an expansion for it called Forces of Corruption as well.

It's a decent RTS, though it has its own grand strategy component as well. Personally, I think its rather average, though it really shines in the space battles. There are a ton of mods for it as well.

I myself am playing Heavy Rain, right at the moment.
