The name of the game is within the quote. I do like having puzzles even if they are incredibly obvious. <.< |

Ah, I suppose the capital letters should have tipped me off. I usually have trouble with puzzles, even when incredibly obvious.

I rarely find a game that I get sucked into for so long. Only 3 games have ever done it. Total War games. Super Mario 1 & 3. And now Minecraft. Kudos Notch, you have my soul. |

I guess I get to be the pretentious git by saying that I'm currently playing Ōkamiden, a game that I'm sure none of you have heard about. It's the wildly awesome sequel to the wildly awesome game, Ōkami. It's based on and loosely follows Japanese mythology, the characters being directly based off of various mythological persons. You play as Chibiterasu, the son of The Great Goddess Amaterasu, the protagonist from the first game. The game is remarkably similar to The Legend of Zelda in design, though it is wholly superior in every way. It's more entertaining, has a better story, a more original setting, more engaging and interesting characters, more appealing visuals and art direction, and better dungeon design. Plus, whats more is that unlike in Zelda where you get an item, use it in that dungeon, then never look at it ever again, in Ōkamiden, you use all of your powers throughout the entire game. The powers are much better, too. Instead of clunky items that you have to switch out, you, instead, have just one: the Celestial Brush, which you use to draw a variety of brush techniques. It's much easier and more streamlined. I've played it through twice now, and I must say that it is most assuredly my favorite game. The ending is just so touching. I cried. This game is definitely a great example of how games truly can be art, as I would call this no less. |

Hmm, I didn't know Okami had a sequel... I must look into this now. |

But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history. You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.) | |

It's on the DS, making it one of the few games to intelligently utilize the stylus in a manner that makes said stylus actually necessary to play the game, unlike others where it's more an issue of being more convenient than regular buttons. |

Ah, awesome. I'll make sure to pick it up. Maybe then my DS will be useful for more than collecting dust. |
