The title is self explanatory. What kind of music are you listening to right now, or what have you listened to last? And is there any kind of music you listen to while writing, or something like that? I'm currently listening to this on repeat, because it's awesome. |

But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history. You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.) | |

I just purchased the Life in Technicolor ii EP (single) on iTunes and I'm consequently jamming to the Goldrush. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_b_ArnIdmVw |

When I'm driving around it's usually Lords of Acid, Beastie Boys or Twiztid. Mostly Lords of Acid, since I saw them a couple months ago. |

I'm going to the Motley Crue and Poison tour tonight, so I'm listening to that. |

Right now: Dvorák's Symphony No. 9 in E Minor "From the New World" What was also amusing was that I was listening to Rimsky-Korsakov's Tale of Tsar Saltan Suite earlier, and the second movement went remarkably well with some of my writing that I was reading at the time. I listen almost entirely to classical music. It makes me feel inspired enough to actually do stuff. |

Chevelle is my favorite band and always will be (they're about to finish up recording for the new album), but over the past year I've been getting into a lot of post-hardcore bands. A Day to Remember, Silverstein, older Thrice, Alexisonfire... even this local band where I love called They Came Bearing Arms. |

I love Chevelle. Most of my favorite stuff is eighties or older, but they're pretty good.Someone new I just added to my Pandora, though, is a talented singer named Rufus Wainwright. I usually don't listen to his kind of stuff; mostly classic rock (Beatles, Queen, etc.), but after his song from Shrek got stuck in my head I couldn't stop (Hallelujah). He's got a great voice, at least for a homosexual Canadian.

You know who else is Canadian and makes great music? Jon Lajoie. He's pretty damn funny. He's like a Canadian Weird Al. Here's his YouTube page if you want to check him out. |

Currently listening to Mindless Faith. I have no idea how I came across them, or even why I'm listening to them, because I don't normally care for techno-rock types of music, but whatever. |

I'm listening to Powerglove, a band that makes metal remixes of classic cartoon theme songs and video game music. It's awesome. Here's one of my favorites. |

I've currently got a youtube list I'm frequenting. Weezer has a nice cover of Radiohead's Paranoid Android. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nTo8rjo-lM Also Coldplay is slowly getting songs off of their new album out. I particularly love Moving to Mars, a spacey piano song that really shows off Chris Martin's vocal range. One of the most beautiful songs Coldplay has ever done. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-KsutWy3UU |

That is ridiculously awesome. I now need to look through everything they've ever done. |

Wooly, you legend. Power metuhlz for the win. Currently though, I'm listening to Departure Towards A Nautical Curse - Carach Angren. Dutch Symphonic Black metal, and it's absolutely insane. These guys are head and shoulders above the rest of the genre. The lyrical themes are amazing, their corpsepaint is hilariously epic and they make excellent use of their keyboardist. If you're into anything remotely heavy, I recommend you check it out (and definitely read the lyrics). Those of you taking part in my RP may notice something about my character and this band having something in common. |

Right now: Mendelssohn, Symphony No. 4 "Italian" I got recordings of Toru Takemitsu compositions and Puccini's La Bohčme, too, which are quite good. I had never even heard of Takemitsu before, but it is very atmospheric music. ("Spirit Garden" sounds like excellent graveyard music. You know, for something like a horror movie. And he actually did movie music, too, apparently.) |
