So this thread is for the discussion of anything and everything involving technology!

I'll start off,

I'm trying to build a PC sometime soon but can't decide between getting one of the new Radeon HD 6950's/ 6970's or an Nvidia card. Any suggestions?

I use a Radeon myself, Nvidia is too buggy for me. I'd say just go off the comparative prices vs. performance specs. Both have good cards, you just need to find the one that is most convenient.

Oh, and be sure to get a lot of cool flashing lights. You can't build a computer without those.

I also use Radeon. Something to remember though is that Nvidia has its list of optimized games, meaning some won't run very well without an Nvidia card. Such as Metro 2033, which I can't finish due to it freezing about half-way through in a graphical error.
But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history.

You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.)

Do you use the AMD Radeon or ATI Radeon?

I've always used Nvidia myself, and I've never had any trouble with them. However, I expect when I get my next card I'll have more freedom in my budget and I'll simply get the best card I can find, without too much bias towards brand.

ATI.
See that's the thing. ATI cards have incompatibility with a lot of different games, including Morrowind. However when AMD started making the Radeon GPU's the pretty much addressed that problem, AFAIK.

The future is going to be awesome. I fucking love carbon nanotubes. They just do so much cool shit. For instance, it's possible to form nanotubes into microscopic hooks, turning it into the Velcro for people in the future who'll say, "What the fuck is Velcro?" The beauty of nanotube hooks is that it'll adhere to almost any surface imaginable, so you could quite literally stick them onto your shoes and gloves, allowing you to climb the walls like Spider-Man. Even better: We'll see this technology within our lifetime. Fuck yeah! Spider-Man!
