Greetings all. As much as I know everyone loves this place, many of us frequent other forums as well. And as long as we're advertising on other forums, we might as well return the favor. So, if you have any other forums you go to regularly, please, share a link here. Or, if one of your forums is already linked, just tell us why you like it. It doesn't have to be a writing forum, specifically, but it'd be nice if they at least have a writing section. Thanks. :)

And now, for my contribution, here are a few of my favorite places:

The Elder Scrolls Fan Union (TESFU) - A great place with a fun community devoted to all things Elder Scrolls. They do have a writing section, but the best place is probably the community discussion. I have literally spent hours laughing at some of the things there. :P

Writing Forums - One of the largest writing forums out there, this place is filled with great writers. While not as close knit or specific as we are, it's still a good place to get some reviews, or talk about general writing interests. The sheer size of the community ensures you'll get some good feedback.

Bethesda Game Studios Forum (BGSF) - I couldn't make a list of forums without including good old BGSF. It's where most of us got started, I know my entire interest in writing began there, and it has an absolutely awesome community. Dedicated to the Elder Scrolls (or Fallout, if you're one of those guys), but there is a very active fan fiction and roleplaying community, as well as the general game discussions. Probably one of the largest forums I've seen, but with that comes some of the more strict regulations, since it's a company owned site. It remains, however, one of my favorite places on the internet.

Hmm, well, I suppose I'll go ahead and post some of the forums and writing sites I spend time on, but be warned, they're nowhere near as well moderated as the Bethesda forums are, and mature content abounds.

The Beast's Lair (BL) - This one is the one you should be warned of the most. It's a real den of trolls, and not for the unwary. They're some nice people if you're willing to put up with that, otherwise. The forum is explicitly for the Nasuverse, though, which is the series I spend the most time with. I somehow doubt most of the folks around here would have ever heard of it. :P

Space Battles - This forum is where you'll find some of the longest, greatest, and most creative fanfiction on the internet. Without fail, almost everything posted here is quality writing. It gets a lot of traffic, and some of the most well known fanfic authors around call it their home.

And, of course, Fanfiction.net (FF.net) - This is without a doubt the most visited website for fanfiction you'll ever find. It's also filled with more crap than any other site you'll ever visit. That said, there is some really great stuff there if you're willing to dig for it. Just be very careful what you read, and pay careful attention to the tags. There's some very strange things posted there.

Fiction Press - This is the original fiction version of the above. Like I said, there's some good stuff, but you have to dig for it.
But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history.

You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.)

As the current admin of TESFU, I must second that recommendation. Join! Now! Please?

For other forums I visit, there's The Pokémon Trainer's Corner, a forum I also run. It's got a writing section in addition to a massive world-building project. It's a fun place to visit. If you like Pokémon.

There is also NationStates, a site created to promote a book. (I'm advertising something that was created as advertisement. It's like the Inception of advertising!) It's unquestionably the largest forum I've ever been to, and it's quite a good one at that with lots of great and enjoyable members.
