You only had five clinically insane characters? The psychotic make up at least half of the characters I make. :P Just wait until my second guy makes his appearance; if I can pull him off, he should be quite a treat.

Anyway, I'll be making a post in the RP today to move things along, unless someone wants to make a post before then. Thanks. :)

Where's the agnostic cleric? : P
That's pretty much the deistic cleric. It's kind of hard to be agnostic in a world where the gods literally walk among you. However, it is possible to be a cleric of a cause and not one particular deity. So, that's what I was referring tho. Yeah, it's not exactly an accurate name, but whatever. :P

D&D kind of makes that impossible what with the whole "barbarians can't read" thing. No, really. They can't read. They're the only illiterate character class in the game. Even the regular meat-shield of a fighter can read.

That's because those are the five that work the best, for varying reasons. Like, for instance, the Wilder is just like a psion, except that experiencing strong emotions boosts the strength of your powers to incredible levels. So, naturally, having someone who's insane would make that very enjoyable. Then, with clerics, there is even an in-game way to make your cleric insane, and have it affect your play style. See, there are various domains of spells in clerical magic, and each god exemplifies two or more of these domains. Then, whenever you play as a cleric, you pick two domains based on the ones your god has which gives you a number of domain spells separate from you regular spell list. And wouldn't you know it? There is, in fact, a "madness" domain, and choosing that makes your character insane.

I've decided to keep a running track of stupid things I do in my signature, I'm going to record the number of poem's/songs my bard makes, the number of puns and anything else ridiculous that occurs to me.

A good idea. I would do the same, except I think the limit for signatures is about a thousand characters. :P I've already done about twenty seven stupid things today, three of which were on here.

Anyway, post incoming tomorrow around noon (EST) to move things along. From there it'll be a pretty quick ride all the way until we get on our ship heading east. I think after we board we can spend a few rounds of posting on character interaction before we make port for the first time after a timeskip. Then we'll start deciding on cool events to have happen to us, probably something involving a feast put on by that town in our honor that goes horribly awry. ;)

If you have ideas for cool things to have happen to us, please let us know. We have plenty of stops in mind, along with random encounters at sea. (A Challenger approaches! :P )

Thanks. :)

I hope one of those encounters is a giant sea monster. It just wouldn't be right without a giant sea monster.

No, it would not.

The only real question: What kind?

Obviously a kraken. What else?

But we could have something along the lines of Charybdis and Scylla, too. Admittedly, I only thought of those two because of some reference someone made to the Odyssey during discussion of this RP, but still. : P

There's actually plenty of aquatic creatures we could do.

A giant clam would be hilarious, but difficult to do right. : D

That seems more like something you'd see in a parody of an adventure story, probably one made by Wayans brothers.

You think it would be easy to make a pun here, but no....

Wow, I just caught it too. Don't be disappointed, James. The best puns are the subtle ones. : P

You know, with this "other" definition for "giant clam," that makes it even more of something that would appear in a Wayans brothers' movie. :P
