... hovering a few feet above the stone floor.
She actually hovers only one foot above the ground. She can go higher, but she quickly looses all mobility and speed. The highest she can possibly go is an additional three feet before she becomes incapable of moving anywhere.

Also, that throne room is horribly designed. If there are seven columns, then either one of them is going to be directly in front of the window, directly in front of the door, or the door will be at an angle to the window and, subsequently, the throne. All three of those are horrible design choices that make the room extremely awkward. That's why places always have an even number of columns: it's just simply better.

My apologies, I could not find where you specified her exact altitude, so I just guessed. Now I know.

And I'm sorry my column designs don't please you. Next time you make a room you can put an even number of columns if you want.

So I suppose, if it really matters, we're working under the assumption that one side will have four. That or there could be a column directly above the door, that would be more like a dias on a shelf. I'll put the empty one there. I can go edit that in if it's that important to you.

Then they're not "evenly spaced," and it'll still be awkward to look at.

That actually works pretty well. I kind of like it.

You know, I kind of wish that I was playing a greedy, self-serving asshole so that I could completely break the tension being set up by the king in his little speech here by immediately asking, "Yeah, I have a question: How much money are you going to give us for doing this?" But alas, I guess it just was not meant to be.

Well, it's never too late to be that guy. I'd love for someone to break the dramatic tension with a good joke. Also, it would be nice for someone to post, and then the next person to use their character to respond to that first person's statement. The king will be stepping back to allow for all of your questions and conversations before answering. Thanks. :)

I would post, but I honestly can't think of anything Duhos would ask. In fact, considering his stance on the modern church, all I can really see him doing to the king is being a bit rude to him.

Also, I'm finding how much attention he's getting kind of funny, though I suppose that, as most people have never seen a golem, that's understandable.

Question: To what extent is the king's right to rule determined by the Goddess? Would it have been thrown into question by her dissappearance?

I kinda need someone else to post before I can:/ , I think I've designed Celaia wayy too introverted although that isn't a particularly surprising reaction considering that she has a demon in her head attempting to isolate her as much as possible from society, both to keep her accepting of his presence and because depression is a very consistant source of strong emotion.

Eh, I wouldn't want people to have to retcon all those posts, and I especially wouldn't want to have wasted all that time making her.

Though, there is still a part of me that really wants to, if only to spice things up. The different characters are all too similar to one another. The only one who really stands out as being different is Wayne. Everyone else is pretty much completely unsocial and introverted. In the traditional Five-Man Band, all we've got right now is a couple Smart Guys, and then a bunch of Lancers. When Darkom's character joins us, we'll have The Hero, but we don't have any Big Guys or Chicks. You'd think Duhos would be the Big Guy, being big and all, and usually a golem would be, but Duhos is just too smart and too jaded. Our Five-Man Band is incomplete.

There's little variation in character personalities, and any differences they do have are minor and largely unimportant in the big picture. A comical Deadpan Snarker would really help to give some variation to the team. (Would still be The Lancer, though.)

A little tangent here, but I just realized how well-balanced our team is in terms of power. Everyone is generally pretty strong, and there are no extreme outliers. However, due to the characters chosen, Noboru could still take out the entire team if he had to. Then again, monks usually can. :P He's the only one, though. Mathew, Victoria, and Duhos get pretty close, but they just can't quite do it, mainly due to each other and Noboru. Though, Alaric would probably do pretty well, and if they were near the sea, so would Scylliria.

Well.. I know the point of making a character sheet is to lay out your character but I kind of see it as room for improvement/space to edit kind of thing. You don't really know (or I don't know at least) quite how a character will play out as I start to RP them. Besides this scenario isn't like school where the teacher asks a question but no one wants to answer. in a cliched way the fate of the world rests on their shoulders, they would likely act a little differently to how they normally would.

Indeed, if no one else is going to respond to the king, I'll just have Gerald make a witty comment. Heck, we can keep him around. If we want, he can come along and die in a comic way at our very first stop. :P

Anyway, if your characters are all too introverted, the king will just look at everyone awkwardly and continue. It'd be nice if you could at least give your characters thoughts, if not a verbal reaction. We really do need at least one dashing rogue for comic relief; my second guy will be pretty interesting, but we won't see him for a while yet.

Anyone... I just thought I'd say you could expect someone to act out of the ordinary in out of the ordinary situations.

I'd also just like to breifly specify the Sea Elf accent. I wanted the sea elves english accent to be like Esteban's from Kill Bill but with less og a spannish twang.
If you don't know what that sounds like, you can listen here, and the guy doesn't start talking until about a minute in, so let it load and skip to that point.
He slurrs his words a little because he doesnt speak english much.

Victoria's going to post. She's just going to wait a while until she's sure that no one else has any questions.
So, I'll wait until everyone else has posted at least once.

Also, while it would be funny to have Gerald come with, I don't know of any way to do it without either he nor the king breaking character. Though, a character like him wouldn't end up dying off, no matter what. He'd end up almost dying at every possible chance, but would narrowly escape, complaining the entire time. Despite being utterly useless, he'd somehow have a knack for not dying, even though he'd cause almost twice as much shit to go wrong than if he weren't there in the first place.

Gerald reminds me a bit of Haskil.
Probably because they're both a rather clichéd character archetype.

Not to say that's bad or anything. I happen to like that archetype. It's almost always quite funny.
