Yeah, sorry mine should slim down a bit but I'm writing one and a half characters so my posts are probably going to be longer than average...

My definition is that if it's too big to fit on my screen despite my 1050 vertical resolution, it's a wall of text. I just don't want to spend 5-10 minutes per post, and I definitely don't want to be expected to have to spend an hour or more writing all that, especially when I've got a bunch of other shit to do. It's not like I'm just sitting around waiting to post in the RP. I've got a large list of things to do.

Wait, you do? That's weird... Please, tell me more about these things. Because I spend most of my time here. :P

But really, I don't expect you to spend an hour posting. Reading shouldn't be too difficult, and posting shouldn't take more than twenty minutes or so on average. Just because other people like to post more doesn't mean we expect you to. Post as much as you're comfortable with; I'm sure it'll be fine. ;)

Ah, that is unfortunate Ambrose. Did you get them already?
Yep, although the professor is letting us revise our essays, and if she thinks they're improved, our grade will too.

In any case, post coming up. Eventually. It might take a while, since I'm multitasking.
But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history.

You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.)

Oh, definitely, school comes first man. Finish your essay thing before you make a post. :)

What has been going on in my absence?
Too much, I can see! I have to say that you guys have really outdone yourselves. A completely creatable world with so much that can be done!

But forreal, y'all, excellent job. If there is room, I'd like to make an application. And if not, then I hope that there is room for some fleshing out to be done? :D

You know, in retrospect, I should have said something earlier, but I find a world populated by only humans and elves to be horribly cliché and dull. Elves are, by far, the most common of all fantasy races, and it's just getting a little boring. We should have gone with some other, less popular race, like gnomes. Gnomes are fun though still highly underrepresented. I don't know why everyone hates gnomes so much. Even Wizards of the Coast hates gnomes, bumping them down from their former position of character race in 4th Edition. Plus, if we had humans and gnomes, we could have gone with a High Fantasy/Steampunk setting instead of the also boring High Fantasy one, and steampunk is always awesome.

Something to note about my character is that, since he's from Atlas, he's probably not going to be well liked. I would imagine that most people would not like someone from a country that is not only highly militaristic, but also a brutal police state, and also against the Church of Light.

I'm also pondering making them have slaves. They seem like a country that would use slaves, and someone in this universe needs to have them. It just wouldn't be a medieval world without it, though I suppose you could argue that the demon-possessed characters are essentially the slaves of the Church.

The Medieval period didn't have slaves. They had serfs. Big difference. :P

I'm also assuming that almost every country has serfs. If they have a feudal system, they have serfs, since it's impossible to have the former without the latter.

Actually, the Byzantines used slaves, as did Muslims in both North Africa and Spain.

I would have taken it as a joke if not for the comment with the serfs. My mistake, though.

I even used a smiley! How much more obvious does it need to be? Do I need a disclaimer at the end of my posts saying "Caution: This is a joke?"

Hah, well, smilies can mean whatever the poster wants it to mean. A smiley being in a post doesn't necessarily make it a joke. If you visited the forums I do you'd know not to trust them. I'm used to people being condescending with them.
