Every self respecting forum has a game discussion thread. Some people switch between dozens of games, but I usually tend to stick with two or three until I beat them, then move on to the next. So, what are some of your favorite games, console or otherwise? As always I am playing Medieval Total War, with my repertoire of mods including Stainless Steel (RR/RC) and Third Age 2.0. My favorite campaign at the moment is the Mongols, since the new RR/RC for SS fixed their economy, and for TA I'm playing Eriador. I'm also close to beating Assassin's Creed 2 for PC, I finally collected all the codex pages and am near the end. Once I finally beat it I might re-install Oblivion, or Rome: Total War, I haven't decided yet. And since my family finally got an Xbox 360 I've picked up Fable 2. What about you guys? It's at a toss up between Fallout 3 or Bioshock, for me. |

Hmm, I'll start playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 soon, so we'll see how that goes. But my favorite games (I hope you don't mind if I put series.) are the Fire Emblem series, the Total War series, the Knights of the Old Republic series, the first Dawn of War and its expansions, and the Dead or Alive series. So three strategy series, a fighter, and a RPG. My favorite from among those is the Fire Emblem series, and that's also the game I've been playing the longest. But mostly? The assorted plans at play here would be going very, very wrong due to the actions of a no-name, no-count, utterly talentless Magus by the name of Shirou Emiya. He had no magic worth mentioning, no combat experience of note, and no plan for or knowledge of the War he was about to enter. He did, however, have one trait that had derailed a countless number of such grand, far-reaching schemes throughout history. You see, he really, really wanted to be a hero. -(Best description of the start of a Fate novel ever.) | |

My Xbox is currently broken. I might sell it for a PS3... For now, Battlefield 2 (the OLD one), TES Games (Currently Oblivion and Morrowind), some Rome Total War every now and then. I can't wait for StarCraft. It's going to be awesome. I don't really play video games that much anymore, with my Xbox being broken all summer. I play occasionally, but for now I am no consistent gamer. |

I think that it would be the safest bet to say that Morrowind is my favorite game, just because I have had it for years and put substantial amounts of time into it each of those years. Skies of Arcadia was also pretty incredible. Evochron Legends is surprisingly good, too. I am sure there are others I cannot name at the moment. As far as lately, I have put quite a bit of time into SW Battlefront 2 and Space Rangers 2, probably because I am in sci-fi mode. It is hard for me to decide favorites in absolutes, though. I like different things about different games.... |

If you're going for sci-fi, I just picked up Mass Effect 2, and so for I must say it is quite good. It's a bit like Kotor, except you have fewer feats and powers, and can only use guns, but the characters and combat are way better. I only wish you could switch PoVs between characters

Eh, if I want a Bioware game, I should get my rear to work on Dragon Age. Pretty game, but I simply have not been in the mood for it lately. Now that my family has moved the PS3 (argh!), I will pretty much be stuck on PC games. I should get around to playing Gothic 2/3.... |

Morrowind, for sure! Mass Effect 1 & 2 are really amazing games with sharp graphics. I love the stories and various alien races involved. And I really enjoyed the glitchy KOTOR games as well, despite some of its unoriginality. |

Ōkamiden. This is the game that video games were invented to create. I also really like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Psychonauts, Neverwinter Nights 2, Baldur's Gate II, Portal, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, Pokémon (except for the shitty Gen I), and, naturally, TES. |

Man, I just installed the new Civ4, and I cannot believe I ever stopped playing that game. It's just so addictively entertaining. "Just one more turn. One more turn."Civ5 is terrible though, I'm glad I tried the demo before I bought it. Good ideas, but they eliminated some of the most fun things, like religions. How can you run a country without controlling the religious freedom of its people? Honestly.

Baldurs Gate with this http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/cebua/step_by_step_moddingguide_turn_baldurs_gate_and It's the full story is one sitting with unified mechanics and impressive amounts of additional stuff and updates to BG 1 to put it in line with its sequel. It's awesome as hell. Aside from that, Morrowind, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, Mount and Blade and League of Legends ![]() Civ is one of those series where I really wish I could go tell the developers how to do it, I mean they say "Build you own civilisation!" and then force you to develop things in the same order and way that people did historically, even to the point of always creating real life monuments. I would kill for a game where someone took Civilisations and made it more organic so that it felt more like you were in charge of a nation and less like a strategy board game. |

Throne of Bhaal is included ![]() Unfortunately only Shadows of Amn and the original are completely seamless, ToB works as it always has so far as I know, the whole thing is a good 300 hours gameplay so I have no idea as yet what they've changed at the end Edited by Evilpigeon, Jul 28 2011, 12:57 PM.

As long as they still let you be an asshole to Cyric, it's all good. Though, if they changed it to also let you also pummel Cyric's face into the ground, then that would be the best day ever. |

Oh, Mount and Blade was awesome. The potential for that game was incredible; too bad it felt like they never really finished it. Multiplayer with Warband was good, but it didn't make up for the fact that dialogue was more like a menu, and the whole thing was little too sandbox-y for me. I liked the freedom and RPG elements, but after a while it just started to feel empty; unless I wanted to create a kingdom or help another one rule the world, there's not much to do. And the really fun things took so much time to set up, it almost wasn't worth the wait. Amazing concept, but poorly implemented. If they ever made a sequel, however, I would buy it in a heartbeat.
