Oh great celestial tailfeathers, the dragon she had bonded to, to fight the taint, being lured by them! And, if Lagrange didn't sense the imminent danger, she sure as hell did. She could feel the certainty of Zeleth- he was acting like he'd give her dragon a choice. And she knew that the fastest way to taint was to slay the rider. Oh how she felt so damnably targeted. Zeleth had no rider, and she was sure he probably thought Lag could manage without. The star lit dragon rumbled, annoyed. He could feel her fidgeting, sensed her ill-ease. those white eyes stared into the shadows, the later the day was getting, the darker it was around them, the tiny spots and larger spots all across his form seemed to light with the stars, glittering from muzzle to wings, to tail, his comet-stripes gleaming brightest of all. "I will come by night, when most sleep. In the meantime, between when we meet, I will train and make sure everyone sees me. I will climb the ranks at all cost..." And will you lose yourself in it? Do you just want to make your damned father proud? There was nothing to save him, not unless he was willing and there was a karma willing...And Zeleth was so sure the sekkaiens were going to lose... Sen narrowed her gaze, sighing as Lagrange peered around, his words deep as the night- "I will make you proud of me,.." He spoke at last, his spines rattling a bit. |

"Of course; it sounds much safer to meet at night," Zeleth rumbled, giving a slow nod. It seemed like a reasonable plan, but, underneath the happiness he felt, there was dread. What if Lagrange decided to kill him instead? Take the chance to catch him off guard and slay him. Zeleth bowed his head. The spines on his neck pressed flat against his scales. His heart sank at Lagrange's next words. Zeleth wasn't quite sure what to say. He gave a low growl in thought, turning his slightly to look the other way, into the darkness of the jungle. There was silence, and it made Zeleth feel nervous. What to say? "What kind of costs? You do not need to be the mightiest of dragons to make me proud. I'm proud of you for making it this far in the war, to have survived through all these years, when so much of Sekkai has fallen." |
