Doh, this was a tough one! I love all of them in their own ways. But, here we go, the ones that catch my eye the most out of both sides. Anyhow, here's a look at a newcomers favorites. Sekkaien 1. Gravity and Chaos: When it comes to these two... I really couldn't pick which one I absolutely love over the other. They allow for so much creativity and near endless lines of possibilities. Now, don't get me wrong on this, plenty if not all of the others also exhibit that quality. But I love the powers held by these two as well as their looks, especially the markings of the chaos dragons. However, I think the most important reason they are the first on my list is because they look hella fun! 2. Glass: I could probably almost put these in first with the gravity and chaos. The only thing that held them back was that they don't quite have the hella fun feeling to them. But I do love everything about them as much as I do the first two. The thing that really catches my eye about them is their ability to cause creative inspiration. 3. Rosemary: You probably didn't see this one coming did you? But yep, I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the small fry or the underdog. While I may not be fond of the flowery coloration, the feathers just seem to fit in place with them. And most of all, I love them for what I envision them as. Healers, teachers, mentors, and myriad of other supportive positions that don't involve combat. I'd even go as far as to say that these, while they don't hold the frontline or probably fight at all, are the backbone of Sekkai and it's forces in my eyes. Honorable mention Fire, what's NOT to love? Fires are often what people envision when it comes to dragons. ((Unless you are oriental, then it is likely to be the eastern dragons.)) Tainted 1. Influenza These things just scare me... And when it comes to an enemy, if it can scare you, it stands a better chance of killing you. I think that's why I'm slapping this one at number one. Even other taint are wary of these things! After all, they seem to have one thing in their mind. Create the deadliest disease or virus possible and unleash it on the world, to hell with what they have to do to create it! And their appearance, it just fits the part all the more. 2. Disruption Wow... I don't really know what to say about these. Just wow. These, like the gravity and chaos of the Sekkaiens just look fun. Their short tempers and blindness almost seem to be their only weaknesses. I could only imagine coming across one of these on the battlefield, that in itself would be a logistical and strategical nightmare. That is more than enough to earn them my number two spot. Honorable mention Bulkhead To be honest, these should probably be on the list as number three, but I wanted to go with four Sek and two Taint. Bulkheads are literally a balance of size and power. It's just hard for me not to love them, much like the fires. All in all, I love ALL of the dragons. I really can't say I dislike any of them. While it was easier for me to pick out the Sekkaien's I like a bit more than the others, the tainted were a bit rough... So, I changed the way I looked at it. I had to look at them from different angles to pick just the top two and ultimately I boiled it down to the one that scared me the most and the one that would be a nightmare for any general/leader and his/her forces to have to counter. |

So here are my favorite breeds. Water - I have always been called a fish because I love to swim. Sometimes you can't even pull me out of the water. Forest - Forests to me are interesting because they can take so many shapes and forms. That and they are the source of one of my favorite smells. I love the smeel of a forest after it rains. Sadly I dont have a favorite tained breed. However if I had to choose it would be a Bulkhead or a Disruption just to muck things up. That and Bulkheads have pretty molten daimond breath while Disruptions are very, very good at mucking up your head. |

*imaginary goatee stroke* Lessee! With most-liked at the top! Any dragon not listed, I just don't have any feelings about at all. When it comes to non-breed-specific things, I just really, really dislike fins/frills anywhere on a dragon. XD They weird me out. But then, I don't like dimetrodons and spinosaurs either. >> *weirdo* As for physical features I love? Manes. Manes and feathers are pretty much the most awesome things ever, although manes kick serious butt on feathers. Hahaha.Favorite Sekkaian Dragons

Hooo boy. xD My turn I guess because of some PRODDING. I'll start out by saying that I pretty much enjoy every breed. Part of the fun of this place (particularly hatchings) for me is figuring out a way to make anything work for me! Anywho, my favorites would have to be (and in absolutely no particular order: Sekkaian
Taints... well... I tried that once and it didn't fit for me all that well. Perhaps one day. Otherwise, they're all really cool breeds! |

BOTANY
|
I updated this with ones I don't play, because I feel like it is a given that the ones I play are obviously on my favorites list, so it seems redundant to list them. Right? Right. Rosemary: And before I list every single Sekkai breed EVER I'll stop here. I do just love them Rosies. They're small, but some of them *coughIridaecough* are also VERY MIGHTY. And I love it. And everyone already knows I'm an Iridae fangirl because it's not like I exactly keep it to myself. I really like that dragon, she kinda makes me like the whole breed. Also so does Lichen. Forest: I mean, I'm a botanist, it's kind of obvious why I would love the plant-based breeds, right? Plants are just SO FREAKING COOL. I especially like ones with chemical defenses (sagebrush, which is the major one in the communities I study, has numerous). And come on. They turn AIR into SUGAR. AIR INTO SUGAR YOU GUYS. USING SUNLIGHT. If you don't think that's magical, I don't know what to tell you. Honorable mention to Gravities, but really mostly because they're named after stars. It's a ridiculous reason, and I have no idea what I'd do with one if I ever made one, BUT I DO LOVE THEIR NAMES. Taint: Oh, I still feel like I'm so BAD at "bad guys", but I do love some of those breeds. Bone: I think Bones are just the niftiest in looks next to the lovely Ruins. Even when they're young, they're certainly unique, and I like that they can actually look like almost any dragon, but they're still their own breed. If that makes sense. Also, growing bones as weapons? I think that's fantastic. They don't really have elemental abilities aside from that, which I think would be really interesting to RP, just because it would be so different! |

oi! ok. My favorite breeds its hard to decide. They're all soo cool and I don't have any dislikes/or most favorites. For Sekkains: Celestial: I just. I caved. Noodle babies. :u; Someday. Glllassss OK, I have to admit, at first I wasn't all too like OMG WOW. but they grew on me. (I blame Fom;) Now I just. heee Glass. Really would love to have one of these someday. Ice: I do like winter, means time for books and hot cocoa. I also love the way frozen plants can have an ethereal beauty to them. Also that Ice as an Element? Freaking awesome. Lightning: They're cool. The ability to harness lightening is an amazing idea and intrigues me. Crystal: Being able to change something at the molecule level? That is pretty awesome. They also are so pretty~ (-cough-Serluinn-cough-) Air: Because Wings!and birds and Feathers. That and their elemental ablities are awesome. I have always adored anything with feathers and that can fly. So of course, Air's appeal to me. :3. Fire: Because Fire's are just cool. Sometimes the basics are just as awesome as any of the unique ones. Waters: This one was kind of, meh about at first, but after awhile i decided, no, hey water is really cool and is cool as an element. So hey. it makes the list. Forest So many different designs that can come for one forest. and the poisons that they could create from their own body? They are also like Gardeners, and I have always been slightly jealous of people with a green thumb so to speak. Metals I love the idea of hot molten metal; and after much deliberation, I think they need a spot. . Least favorites Sonics Sound manipulation is cool. And while I Adore Icho, I just never truly a big fan of this breed. Icho will always be my bab. Rosemaries I love how little the can get, but again, I don't think I could really play one well. Karmas I'm not to sure I like their design, though their ablities are alright. (And none-the-less-important) I think my top four Dream breeds to have would have to be: Glass; Arcane; toxic, Metal/razor OR ice. It's a tie between. Taint: Toxics At first, I wasn't too terrible interested in these breeds, but Augari...zo man. and Pantera so many cool desings and glowing things and it reminds me of a evil genius lab with glowy liquid tubes that house something that most likely kill you. Ruin: I just love their design and the idea about them. It also reminds me of the pokemons Ghastly as well. Ghost dragons! Razor: As much as the metal breed doesn't really interest me though I do love the designs they come in, the razors however get me. Sharp and pointy and deadly. Bones Putting this back up here. Not a fan of 'zombie' like bones, but yeeee. mycotics Ok. Much deliberation, I am sticking these here, though I tend to favor the smaller versions of this breed. Arcanes. I just. They're interesting. Least favorites: Abyssal Freak me out, honestly. Gazing abyss of hunger that they just wanna eat. I also wouldn't know what to do with one as I feel like they tend to get water locked. Dreams Sort of like the karma...? While their abilities are really cool; I don't know if I rather like them. On the fence about (These are just I am still musing on, so I would totally not mind receiving any of these breeds) Chaos I don't quite get their powers really. But I don't dislike them either. Disruptions Blind dragons are always awesome; but I am unsure if I like their skill set or not.... Influs Still on the fence about. My dream dragon will never come to be, partly because it is a mutt dragon and there has only ever been one made on the site. But it would be a Toxic/glass. Even mix of glass and toxic. Just think of the possibilities. But I thought I would share it anyways because mutt dragons. I do Like most all breeds here on Sekkai, but these are ones that struck out at me the most. |

Huh, surprised I haven't posted here yet! Ok here 'goes... Basically my favorites consist of just how neat I find them as well as what I feel I would have a blast playing! NOTE TO ALL!: I would not mind having two of the same breed that are listed in my faves! ;D Favorite Sekkai breeds Ice- I've always ALWAYS LOVED Ice as an elemental power and it's one of most lovely things in nature. Land is at it's most beautiful when covered in sparkly snow! Uhg I want one of these guys bad someday!!!! >_< hehehe (They are my favorite of faves OMG <3) (Seriously I need to keep making candidates until I get one of these. GOAL!) Lightning- I dunno how I forgot these guys before. Swift lithe dragons that can control LIGHTNING Muthaf*ckahs! Smaller yes but they pack a BIG punch! Celestial- *senses eyebrows being raised* What can I say? I love big dragons. And these guys are not only big but they just have so much to them I find appealing for some reason. I am dumbfounded so many people who were lucky enough to get one in the past stopped playing Sekkai! If I got one I'd never ever leave! (not that I would now. I love this place so much!) So I want one? YES OH GODS YES!!! But sadly as my writing style just plain sucks, I don't think I'll earn one anytime soon ;_; Goal obtained thanks to lovely friends with extra CP! Thank you all! Glass- I love the uniqueness and variety here! They can be big, small, and crazy freaking pretty. Also gotta love their ability! I have a glass dragon and rider char screaming to be made and I love them. Here's hoping for a female glass opening in the near future so I can make my glass pair (See "because I can" thread!) ;D Forest- I know these guys are on the smaller side but dragons that can control nature are just fascinating! Plus venom >D (See Toxic below) Metal- Just...Wow I REALLY like these guys! I've always loved the concept of metal themed dragons (because hey I like metal!) So they are beautiful but deadly with an awesome breath weapon!! Fire- Can we say traditional with style? Anala was my first dragon I created here and I love her to death!Favorite Tainted breeds Toxic- *drools*I love dem Toxics! They are just so pretty yet creepy and deadly! I enjoy venomous/poisonous creatures and these guys have it mastered (Nothing against the Forests) I also like the different colors of venom Ala features on their body! Oooooh I want one of these guys bad too! *covets Toxic draggies!* Razor- Not entirely sure why I like these guys but they look awesome! Pointy...*poke* Bulkhead- wow, I finally gave in and added these guys. At first I was like "Bleh!" Due to the extra mouths/eyes/limbs. As you know I really dislike extra body parts on dragons but...For SOME reason these guys are really growing on me. I think it's their sheer size and power. I mean...just overall bad asses. (Update: Since Blair bonded with Bulkhead Krakatoa, I honestly think these guys are epic amazing and insanely fun! Bulkheads FTW!) ~~~~Least Favorite~~~~ Before I begin I need to emphasize that I like all the breeds! But theses ones I admit I may have a challenge playing & writing for. Rosemary (includes Mycotic Rosemary)- Eee don't hate me! I do like them as I find them very attractive and beautiful but there's 2 things that would make them a challenge. One being that I already have a healer char so if I got one of these I'd be all "Uh....what do I do with you?" Oh I know they can fight of course! But that brings me to the 2nd reason...their size. While I have NOTHING against small dragons, it's just hard for me to imagine a full grown dragon who's shoulder is level with my head, but that's just me personally! I see the new description says they can carry a rider and that definitely helps. Before I was scared of them because they had difficulty with that! I enjoy playing them as NPCs but I don't think I'd do well with one as a permanent character. Abyssal- Now, I do enjoy some of these guys that exist around the site...I just don't think "Cool wicked breed of dragon" when I look at them. I think more "worm creature from another dimension". I mean they're really cool! Don't get me wrong! But they are also a little....well, slimy/icky/hard to ride and I'd have trouble playing one as a character for sure. Especially since they're so water based and awkward on land/in air. Influenza- While I greatly enjoy the idea of these guys (Can we say zombie dragon anyone?), I also find them....gross. No offense intended but disease and puss and rotting has always made my skin crawl and not in a good way. Also...The extra little arms. I cannot stand extra limbs on dragons (with the exception of the Bulkheads. It seems to work with them) other than wings and the fact that they are small humanoid arms dangling from their chest just makes it all the more unsettling to me >_< Yuck! Plus they all seem like little shitheads lol Sonic- Ok ok ok, I gave in and put these guys here under least favorite. Why? Well, I realized that their ability would be a challenge for me. Not that I dislike them! Not at all! Many look epic, but I realize that if I earned one in a hatching I'd be a tad intimidated and unsure how to go about using their powers O_O And there is no way I am gonna even try designing my own as much as I'd like to because I have NO instrument knowledge xD Update- Atonal has solved this problem for me! Bone- Uhg how to explain...these guys don't really look cool until they're much older. So if I did ever have one I'd kinda like to design my own. I dunno they just seems kinda boring except for their mature look! My Dream Dragon A female teal and/or white colored Ice. I know, I'm crazed. TEAL AND AQUA COLORS FOREVER!!! But one that looks like a dragon and not just an arctic animal with horns/wings etc. Don't get me wrong, those are cool (I love all animals!) and even have a couple. But I always prefer as draconic as possible. More scales, less fur/feathers with me. Also I greatly dislike beaks (though it works great with Wakhan because mask and Thunderbird, which I love!) To me if a dragon has a beak, it's more like a gryphon. So yeah, more dragon & less other critter influence ![]() Dreaming of an Ice or glass crossbreed, maybe with Forest or Fire or Lightning. (I'd say Ice/Glass but I don't think they can be Rare/Rare) A stag inspired Ice/Forest would be awesome! Antlers are cool! |

Dracie ish making meee! Happy to, I never saw this thread =O! Sekkains Earth: They are my number ONE fave! I love huge dragons, and the earth element is my favorite of any and all elements. They are powerful and strong, and appeal to me because I can see myself bonding to one on Sekkai. That and...they are just awesome. Rosemary: On the opposite end of things, small dragons are for the freakin' win, especially rosemary. Bright, cute, and having the power to heal is fascinating. Lava: Kind of the same for me about Earths, except LAVA. I have an irrational fear of lava, and that twists on it's head to attract me to these fellows. And they are big and have a rawrrawr build. Bah, I love them all for one reason or another, this isn't fair. XD Tainted Huh, this one is a bit harder, as I have never had a tainted dragon or roleplayed around them all that much. So I'm not sure what to say, even if I have read all their info. XD <3 Yeah....this was short but, I have so much love for dragons its hard to say what I want to. |
