"Well, maybe there will be next season," Zahra shrugged and smiled. It sort of made her start to think about her own non-existent love life. Before the incident that put her on leave status, she'd been far too busy to even think about relationships. But with Hadassah getting more social and being out more than usual, she did have a tendency to get a little lonely sometimes. Perhaps she should think about getting out and meeting people again. But she'd never done so for the purpose of finding any kind of partner. Where would she even start? She wasn't even that pretty. More like the nerdy stick figure wallflower. Even if she was normally social.

"In any case, there's obviously no rush. I hear quite a few females answered the call this season," Hadassah said with an absentminded extension of her claws into the soil beneath them. "Plenty of candidates, plenty of eggs. I wonder if that has anything to do with the war being over. So many pairs reunited and all that," she pondered out loud. She knew that for herself just the idea that the war was over made mating seem less like a chore to keep the Academy's ranks bolstered but more like something she did for herself. And she'd risen with the rest because she felt it was something she needed to do for herself. Hadassah was still very unsure how she felt about the whole ordeal, which was the cause for all three flights in her life. And her last one had left her even more confused than before. Harmon had been charming and sweet, a wonderful mate in comparison to the Ice that flew her and disappeared on some duty afterward. But she had chosen Galileo with her brain when her heart pointed in another direction, only to protect not only herself and her offspring, but also the male that she'd wanted to choose. All the feelings were apt to drive her insane.

Zahra nodded, "I'm sure it does. So many probably have been separated to different places," she mentioned. Just because the bulk of the army was focused on Nidhogg and his Legion at large, there were scouts and units sent out to guard from attacks from behind and attacks no one was looking for. Just because the enemy was ruthless and bloodthirsty didn't mean they weren't smart.

When Vega's head came closer to her, Zahra looked up and nodded, "On occasion, but," she laughed nervously, "Don't get too interested I'm really not all that good. I just kind of…doodle around when I'm not drawing mountains and lines that represent rivers," she shrugged. "Hadassah always makes me sound better than I am."

"And she always makes herself sound worse," the Forest added.

"Well, I do plan on bringing my sketching things with me during the hatching, perhaps I can show you some then," Zahra agreed anyway, because even though her drawings weren't very good, Vega had asked politely to see them, and Zahra wasn't that incredibly shy about herself. Regardless of what had happened.
