Samurai Pizza Feather
Character Number: 9th

Name Byrn Desil

age 22

Gender: Male

Sexuality mostly likely bisexual.

Appearance

Byrn stands at a lanky 6 even. He is underweight for his height, and what isn’t muscles just doesn’t exist. He can hide, however, his slight skeletal look behind clothing, and tries his best to look like what Society thinks he should look like. He’ll snag the most fanciest clothes that he can and likes to dress nicely. He’ll snag things for his sister, and the two could fit in the empress’s court if they tried hard enough. He isn’t as strong as one might think, and when he knows that what strength he does have doesn’t work, he switches tactics. He keeps himself meticulously clean. He is also very angular outside of his slightly softer face. His knees are sharp, as are his elbows, and are very painful when rammed into soft tissue His collar bone protrudes, as does his ribs. However, none of this can be seen unless he shows them. His knuckles are the only joint to suggest that they are not the only bone to protrude. He almost has a pale skin tone, no matter how much sun he may get.

Dark brown hair, with sun kissed honey locks are always swept back and tamed. There isn’t a speck of dirt to be found on him. Dark hazel eyes with a ring of green and yellow set back in a slightly haunted and gaunt look not helped by the slight rings underneath. High cheek bones sweep back, and a long soft nose accent his noble-man look. He always has a calm look to him, but behind those swirling calculating eyes, lies a sinister mind, tagging everything, making plans and laughing at all the people that come in contact with him and his sister. He hides his true feelings for any of his victims, where his mask falls away, and they can see the ‘animal’ behind them. Sinister, almost animalistic instincts being influenced by the taints.

However, when he’s not trying to impress or is around no one outside his sister, he falls back to not really minding the dirt patches that might crop up with whatever he’s doing. His hair will fall in disarray and he is almost constantly sweeping it out of his face. His spindly fingers are long and he is double-jointed on top of being ambidextrous. He’ll wear slightly tight fitting clothing, and can always be found with a large brown cloak that sweeps behind him. the hood has Rabbit fur lining it, and he is very proud of this steal. He hides multiple blades on him, even one in his belt buckle.

The only way to truly tell the two identical twins apart when they were younger would have been the tattoo that runs along his shoulder blades. A knife intertwined with a blue rose turning black and tinged with red. However, he keeps this well hidden, and if his sister wears jewelry, he always has a copy of the same jewels, especially if he has the need to ‘play’ his sister, though as puberty and the years between them, the differences between them make it slightly harder for the male to portray his sister. He has a few long scars scattered across his body. One long one, runs from his waist to his shoulder on his torso, gained in a fight, and one on his legs that coils around gained from when he got his leg stuck in something, and pulling it out, something caught his skin and when he twisted it started tearing in that bizarre fashion. Both scars are hard to see by the naked eye, but can be felt if one could get close enough to feel.

Personality

What could have been a sweet, loving boy with a love of life and the protective of taking on the role of ‘older brother’ has been twisted with not only from the abuse from both of his parents, but from having to grow up so quickly and be the brunt of the harsh word of society, it however was not an overnight change. It took years and years for the dark of his soul to consume him. He became quick with his fingers and wit. He is crafty, witty and observant. With every situation he is in, he is always running it down in his head, with escape plans and ways to preserve him and his sister. He doesn’t trust anyone, isn’t truly one anyone elses side but his and his sisters, and he takes the view of everyone against them. He is power-hungry and will do anything to gain power, however, if he can’t take it head on, he will often resort to sneaking around, using people to his advantage, poisoning his victims, or flat out backstabbing them.

He has a twisted perversion that when he isn’t pretending to be the charming kind gentleman, is used to play mental games with anyone. He loves his mental games and plays them in multiple ways, pretending to be a friend, and then torturing them. He loves physical and mental torture, often having dreamed of doing it to the ones who bullied and threatened his sister. While living in civilization, the Academy, he repressed them, pretended to be the caring boy. well, he was at the point, still, but after they left, the boy gave into the dark of his soul, but keeps it in a mask. His only love is his sister, and he guards that ‘weakness’ with a viciousness.

He is malicious to his victims and enemies, especially when they’ve done something to ‘wrong’ them or they’ve got something that he wants. He loves to hear the screams and to have people to beg for their lives. Nothing is beyond him, and he can prolong the pain, or make it short. He is slowly perfecting the art of keeping his victims on the brink of death. However, there are times when he just kills because he wants to, and the pair will go through great lengths to find someone they can easily nab away that none would miss.

However, when he needs to be, he hides behind a mask of charm and kindness. His voice is smooth, and almost sickeningly sweet, but there is nothing in his tone or composure that suggests the twisted creature that he has become. His normal predatory gaze is softened to a more intense gaze that he has seen from some noblemen and dragon riders.

Rank Dagger (Jaeger Shell)

History:

The identical (yet fraternal) twin to his sister, Blair,Byrn never found himself without the constant companion of his sister. The pair were born in Esam, but moved to hellman’s well while still little. Both parents worked hard to raise money to take care of the children, but they were far from loving parents. Their father turned to drinks most nights, and their mother rarely had anything to do with them once they could fend for themselves more or less. Byrn started to hate his father, who beat the mother behind close doors, and played mental games with the children, building them up and then tearing them apart with words. He did everything a small boy could do to keep his sister safe. A hatred began to form towards his parents, as they continued their meager existence in Hellmans well.

By the time the twins were almost seven years old, a taint raid almost destroyed the entire time. Most fled, others were carried off or killed. Only three of the four family members survived. Their mother had been carted off by a taint, while they did their best to not to get killed. When it was over, Byrn looked around the only town he had known, with almost a dead look in his eyes. He felt no loss over his mother, but that left them with the excuse of a father to care for them. They stayed in Hellmans well for awhile before they made the move to Lihn. They were forced to live in the tent city that had cropped up and luckily their dead-beat dad managed to even find a tent for them to live in. By this time, it was hard for anyone to tell the two apart, Blair had yet to fully hit puberty, and it was a past time to switch roles around others, pretending to be the other to play mental games with anyone.

Life didn’t improve, but Byrn knew this. Their father drank more and more, and was almost always constantly drunk. He was barely physical, but there were times that he was violent enough to raise a hand against the pair, but it was more mental abuse. Byrn knew it was just his sister and him against the entire world. To survive, they turned to stealing whatever they could. His sister was the deceptively sweet and cute one, distracting their targets while he swiped whatever he could. He had no qualms doing whatever it took to survive, and he made sure that both were taken care of. He hardened himself to the outside, his sister being the only thing he cared about. However, he started hating his father even more, even becoming angry and imagining ways to kill him. At first, it scared him, these thoughts, but after awhile, he grew accustomed to them, that they were his nature.

Being in Lihn, there was no shortages of dragons, and both took an interest in the dragons. They talked with many riders, and swindled a few here and there if they could. His sister started talking about wanting to have a dragon of her own, and Byrn smiled. They were still too young to try for candidacy, but he didn’t dampen her dream. They were allowed to having dreams, and Byrn was coming of the belief that they were entitled to have a dragon of their own. Sure, they stole, lied, conned others, but it was only for survival. And they would definitely have a better chance of survival if they both had a dragon to call their own. Even though their Father laughed at them and told them they had no hopes of becoming one, who would take the likes of them, Byrn did his best to keep their hopes up.

On one of their heists they were caught by another, much bigger kid, by the name of Bolrock. However, Bolrock didn’t care, and even helped persuade the other. Byrn took stock of the other, who spoke in third person. He saw an opportunity and he took it. He offered his (and his sisters) friendship. But of course over time and getting to know the other, it suddenly started being the three of them against the world, as Bolrock really did become a good friend of the twins, and his own personality matched well with the growing youths own.

One stormy night, Byrn snapped. At almost eleven years, he had had enough of his father’s bullying, and gave in to the darkness that he kept hidden away from the rest of the world. His sister might still have the innocence he tried so hard to protect, and he didn’t want her to continue to grow up in the cruel presence of their father. Sending his sister out for a pretend errand, he snuck around the tent and slipped a deadly poison into one of the drink his father was drinking. He watched with cruel eyes as his father convulsed and died. He hid all evidence, and When his sister returned, he refused to let her in the tent, and told her how the alcohol had finally killed their father, and they no longer had to live under his grotesque influence. It was just the two of them now, and he felt more at peace now that he no longer had the threat of his elder before him.

At the age of thirteen, they decided to try for the Academy. Along with Bolrock, who followed them, they gathered everything of value for them and started candidacy. They laid aside most of their tricks and wiles of stealing, no longer needing them. They had food and access to most of what they needed, and the pair were inseparable, they still did everything together. It was rare that one couldn’t find the other without the other. No longer did they steal, but occasionally they would play mind tricks with others. Whether it was out of habit or because he enjoyed it, no one but he would know. Though, life wasn’t all peaches and cream at the academy. Some of their peers, obviously more well-to do than the pair had ever been, started to bully him and his sister. After one scuffle, where he almost killed the other, the rest learned to leave him alone, and they started focusing on his sister, but always when they knew he wasn’t around. Even only hearing of it, he would do his best to try and defend his sister, to get to leave them alone. He did his best to keep his sister happy, but he could start to see the effects of the bullying. Again, those thoughts that had seemingly went to the back of his mind after he killed his father arose again, and he did his best to suppress them, knowing that he needed them no longer, and that he wanted to try again.

They stood at the hatching together, greeting Kazuko together, asking if there was a crystal there for them. However they were denied, and they stood to watch all the candidates that had received a crystal meet their bonded. Byrn felt angry that he nor his sister had gotten the crystal that they were entitled too. However, he listened to Kazuko. Maybe there was a chance at the next hatching.

But the next hatching came, and so did the next. And neither of them had received their crystal. Even when Byrn thought it was because of all his fights, and started to getting back at others more subtle than flat out brawling and tried to be the good person a dragon would want, he was still not getting the crystal. He also hated how upset this made his sister. He did his best to try and cheer him up. And even when she tried to take her anger and hurt out on him, he let her. Though she was aghast at taking out the anger on her brother, she quickly apologized. Slowly, the darkness kept making its way, and he no longer fought out, but made his other personality his mask that he hid his true nature behind. The only people to perhaps know of his changes, would be his twin and Bolrock.

Finally, the last standing that they stood at broke the camel’s back persay. After listening to the quiet sobs of his sister, he was done. There was nothing here for them, and most of his peers had made it clear that they weren’t welcome here. Why would they if they had been denied several times. They wouldn’t be standing for their fifth hatching. There was nothing for them. His sister, much to his surprise, agreed. But they still craved the power that only having a dragon could give them. Well, there was one other way to receive a dragon. However, his sister was the first to suggest the idea. Late in the night, they left, gathering what they needed and started the dangerous trek across the lands, reverting to stealing to survive. Again, Bolrock went with them, to make the deadly duo, a deadly trio. The Academy’s lessons of weapons made them more dangerous. They stole horses, and left them for dead when they could no longer handle the push that they wanted. Finally the reached the Desolation of the tainted. Several days of wandering around, They ran into a mother Cereberus, obviously having been killed by someone. They were going to leave it, but a small whining caught their eye, and Byrn picked up the small male pup, who after getting fed and realizing he was safe, took to Byrn. He likes his twin sister enough to protect her but that was all. Not a few days later, they finally ran into a pair of tainted dragons. If he was terrified, he didn’t show it. Instead, he convinced them that they were here for a dragon, that the Academy had spurned them, and they were more than willing and could handle whatever the taint threw their way.

They laughed at him, cruel high pitched amused laughter, but they retracted their original plan of killing the three, and instead took them to be candidates. He quickly adapted to the life they had chosen.Relishing in the dark nature, no longer having to hide behind his mask. Not that he lost it, no he honed it. It would be him, his sister, and Bolrock. No one else would stand in their way in their rise to power.

Pets: A male Cerberus by the name of DarDanos (to Devour). His matted fur is a dark black and brown mixed fur, with light gray streaks around his ankles and streaked around his fur and tails. The tip of his ears are silver, and his faces are speckled with silver like stars in the night sky. He blends in well in the dark, and even with the streaks, it is hard to spot him. Dark brown eyes His Brown eyes hide the cleverness behind their brute-ish look. Over-sized paws indicate how large the puppy is going to grow, though already, he stands at Bryn’s waist. He is smart and protective and loyal to Byrn, but he will also extend his protection to his twin. Anything that threatens Byrn will get devoured.

A Female Cerberus pup by the name of Shenzi.
Quote:

It was folly, all of it. The large female pup grunted, pulling herself to her feet as she disentangled herself from her equally dominant brother. No longer forced to be near each other, she decided she had far better things to do than put him in his place. Not that she couldn't, she was bigger and stronger than any of the hapless whelps she'd been caged with and every single head knew that truth even as each snarled and snapped at other small pups while they careened past her to participate in their own adventures. She wasn't interested in silly play, but she did know exactly what she wanted. Decisively, the three headed hound of hell turned on thick, sturdy legs and trotted toward the throngs of people where the smell of flesh both cooked and not drew her.

Great strings of saliva dripped from each maw as the smells made her stomach growl. Recently weaned, she had decided that she couldn't get enough meat. But where she searched, there was no fresh food to be found. It was all in the hands of those tall, two-legged things. A low grumbled escaped her barrel-thick chest as she moved through and under tables, away from the stomping feet of humans and dragons alike, following scents every way that she could in order to find a scrap to devour. Emerging from one table, she nearly bumped her central head on the edge, which came as no surprise considering that she seemed to be taller in the front than in the back.

Her forelegs and shoulders were powerfully built, descending to a sloped back with equally muscle thick hindlegs. Curiously, her coloration was muted tones of brownish grey with bigger, darker spots intermittently spaced on her fur. Dark, near black fur covered her legs and tails, the same coarse hair rising from each neck like a stiff mohawked mane. It was each head upon her that seemed less hound-like than most other cerberi. Short, broad muzzles and great dished ears made her look like something foreign, even to the commonfolk of the Taint. For any that had traveled the world abroad, they might have pegged her as similar to the hyenas living in the southern regions near Esam, only she was much more thickly built, far more savage, and could probably eat a hyena for breakfast if given the chance.

All of a sudden, something caught the she-cerberus's attention. Two of her heads turned, lips peeling back into a savage snarl. What was that horrible, high pitched noise? The whistle that drew her attention in the first place revealed to her what she'd been seeking all along. She let out a short baying sound and stalked toward the person holding out the food. Heads low to the ground and muscles coiled to spring if it was some sort of stupid trap, she approached. If it tried to hurt her, she would rip its hand off, or worse. In a motion quick as lightning, her center head snapped out and her jaws clamped around the meat, snatching it away from the man offering it as she jumped away a few feet to devour her prize. She had outwitted him! Too fast for the likes of some silly human! But then she realized he had more food...and she'd have to try again if she wanted more.

Appearance

Awesome bust from Chirp
Awesome Bust from Zinc[/align]
Ts'akab stands about 55 feet long, a medium size for his breed. His body is a bit bulkier for a lightning, but he still holds the lithe frame that allows for his speed. Most of his scales are smooth, but one thing that stands out on Ts'akab is the decorative (gold markings etched) metallic armor that starts right behind his three-point antler like horns. These plates run down the length of his body and stops two-fourths the way down his tail. This plated armor is also found on his legs, his hind legs having more the true decorative plates, while his forelimbs and shins have more simple armor. Another thing interesting about Ts'akab is the mane that starts right atop his head and flows down to where his decorative armor stops. The end of his tail also sports this 'fur' instead of a blade. This fur is actually made up of hollow quills that can store static electricity.

His semi short and blunt maw sports tusks out of the corner of his mouth. They are short and curve downwards, perputally giving him a slight grumpy expression on his face. Jade green eyes peer out, judging and observing everything. Nothing goes past his notice. His geometric crystal that is located on the inside of his right ankle. Ts'akab doesn't have much in the way of scars, except for the one on his chest that stands out in bright light that was garnered from their first lesson as newly bonded pairs.

Ts'akab's main coloration is a dull jungle green. His decorative armor plates are golden bronze and the marks are gold. His claws are the same color as the plated armor, with more green tint to them. His mane, along with his tail fan are a flaxen gold, and his horns are more tawny than flaxen. His tusks are Ivory, much like his teeth. His wing membrane is a lighter dull green than his overall complexion, but

Personality Vengeful, Rapacious, Shrewd

Ts'akab is a dragon that doesn't like to be wronged. Any shape way or form, he holds grudges and he he holds them long even after he has claimed his vengeance. There is no eye for an eye--he will dish out what he feels is owed, and he is patient enough to wait years before he reenacts his vengeful. However, Ts'akab prefers to get it fast and over with--to prove that he isn't something to be trifled with.

Ts'akab wants everything. Greedy to a fault, he would be the type of dragon to hoard something and will defend it with almost his entire being. There are things he wouldn't risk his life for--and his rider being the only exception--if only because of the large bulkhead his riders sister bonded too. While he craves things and objects, he does, sometimes like a kid with short attention span, get bored with something and will toss it aside--though still get territorial over it depending on how easy the object in question was to gain. The more worth an item or thing or favor has, the more weight, in the lightning's mind, it will gain.

Of course, To gain what he wants, the cruel lightning has to have his wits about him. Having learned quick that it's best to observe and think through his actions, Ts'akab's mind is sharp and he constantly is always using it to find new better ways to get what he wants and when he wants it. Finding what words to poke someones buttons to get what he wants or the best way to win a fight, he'll find it one way or another.

Hatching--
Quote:

s if in response to her presence, the egg she had brought earlier began to tremble, soft shivers running through the ovoid, small blossoms of red and orange bleeding across the pastel surface whenever an impact was made from within. The movement was carefully paced, almost as though the dragon within was unsure whether or not it wanted to be free. Even as its hesitant shaking continued, another egg was moving with increased fervor, the sleek shell of the Lightning quivering with anticipation. A small, almost microscopic piece of shell flaked away, that small opening enough to unleash a sudden torrent of electricity that spewed forth, winding about the shall, casting small sparks onto the surrounding ground, lighting the egg up like a beacon. Besides drawing the attention of those around it, the electrical jolts wrapping the calcified prison also helped to weaken it, and quickly at that.

With a sudden clap of thunder and a blinding burst of light, the egg split asunder, showering the immediate area with shocking flakes of eggshell, the dragonet within standing tall, obviously proud of his handiwork. He looked ready for battle, electricity pouring off of him in powerful waves, rippling through the strange mane that arched along his spine, dancing along his well-built form. Plates coated his back, protecting the top of his neck and tail as well, the strange, golden markings looking almost as though they had been etched into the metallic surface, natural armor wrought in scale. His antlers, while not quite so impressive as his sire's, were still a force to be reckoned with, especially when combined with the dual sets of curling tusks that arced out of the sides of his mouth. Drawing in a slow, hissing breath, the Lightning turned to regard those assembled with an air of power and privilege.

A low growl rumbled to life in his throat as he stepped forward, the current around him finally dying until only flickers of it still darted in his mane. What was this madness that enveloped the world he had stepped into? Did they not know that he was here, that they should all be ready and waiting to witness his triumphant arrival into the world? Disdain caused his lips to curl up further, finally lifting free of the tusks that angled out of his jaws, eyes narrowing as he squinted at those assembled. Fools, the lot of them. With purpose he began to stalk forward, long, powerful steps leading him towards those still gathered, anger welling in him like a rising storm until it threatened to burst like a thunderclap. How dare his bonded ignore him, instead choosing to concern himself with lesser creatures and lesser worries. This was inexcusable! A gross misconduct if ever there was one!

A sudden snarl from the Toxic coiled at Kazuko's side momentarily drew the Lightnings attention away from his bonded, Septys snarling at the human who dared approach his beloved, flecks of acid spattering the ground before him, madness gleaming in all six of his phosphorescent eyes. "You do not make demands of Kazuko, not here," the Toxic spat at Blair, disgusted by the sheer audacity this little whelp demanded of the Celestial goddess before them. "This is your Hatching, not her's, and you are responsible for your ilk, you wretch," he continued, wings snapping open to spread slowly, eclipsing the rising sun, the scent of death and decay spreading from them as if they brought forth the plague itself. The Lightning watched the Toxic's posturing for a few minutes more before turning back towards the clustered individuals and the panic ensuing.

With long, loping steps, the young hatchling turned and made his way towards the Candidates, keeping pace with the healer that had been sent forth from the Sekkaian envoy, protecting them, if only for the sake of his bonded. His accompaniment of the healer was reluctant a best and he broke into a fast trot once he was close enough, swiftly bypassing the others to make his way to his chosen, intent on finally getting the attention that was rightfully his.

"You," he snapped, voice powerful and empty, echoing like a crack of thunder before the approaching storm. "Why do you give so much attention to this weakling? He is below you, and I above him. Tell me, is this how you shall treat myself, Ts'akab, in the future? With disdain? As if I am something beneath your attention?" he demanded, stepping close to Byrn, turning his right leg to proffer the geometric crystal that was embedded on the inside of his ankle, the jade the same shade of green as his eyes. Lips drawing back to present ivory fangs, he snapped his jaws, demanding penitence, an electrical charge beginning to dance wildly through his mane once more, small arcs lancing off to shock those nearby. "Well? What say you? I demand perfection, and you in return give me insolence. Shall our future be one condemned to failure?"
