Name- Audere Age- 4 Gender- Female Element- Air Parents- Sonic Cadence x Air Valigar Appearance- ![]() Tribal art by Draco Reference by Kess The Air was a marvel. As if made of paper, the creature was so thin, she seemed to just fade away when looking at her straight on. Only her chest and triangular head seemed to have any volume to them whatsoever. Struggling free of its final obstacle, the hatchling caught her tiny red toes upon the woven edges of her nest to surmount the woody edges as if they were nothing at all. And then, standing atop the height like a daring acrobat, she poised herself to look on toward the gathering before her. The little one became visably giddy and wiggled from her pointed nose to the tip of her thin little tail. And she called out with long ears flicking forward. “Hey! Hey don’t go anywhere! I want to play!” The child squirmed and looked back at its mother with a jubilant warble. Her bright blue crest flicked upward in excitement. The Air was a lovely middling of both its parents in color. A bright green rolled across the top of her head, back and upper body while accents of dark blue flew over her face and front legs. Tawny burnt yellow arched across her stomach and back legs while bright crimson scales jutted out across her back end like long feathers. And every inch of her seemed plated in long, contorting scales that conformed perfectly to every thin curve and crevice. Her horns rose like silver spires and her ears rolled around with expressive precision. She was a strange creature, almost flat in some aspects. Her limbs seemed nothing but folded parchment as she twisted and teetered on tiny, uncertain feet, but, all the same, the little Air could have cared less about the risk. She had wings that almost seemed to be feathered but on closer inspection the feathers are in fact very thin feathers. So thin they can cut skin, but also fragile in their beauty. A shed scale here or there is all too common for the scrawny air. The feathers begin in greens with a layer of dull blue and end in bright red "Flight" feathers. Personality- Loquacious, Rash, Ludic Audere is a light hearted sort, content to frolic and enjoy life to its fullest. She is not particularly hyper but she enjoys romping and secret games only she knows the rules to. The paper air is a firm believer in the saying all work and no play makes jack a dull boy and takes every opportunity to enjoy a romp. Since her tainting much has changed. Where she once was a delightful exuberant child, now resides a cunning beast set on twisted games. She enjoys playing with her food and while right now she is gripped with a vast melancholy, that will pass as she taints further. She enjoys drawing other into these private games and delights when others loose them. One of her favorite past times is racing and the tiny air is good at it. Her streamlined shape makes her incredibly quick and her air heritage allows her a rather great advantage. Much like a fly she tends to provoke larger dragons, enjoying the thrill of escaping their wrath. She takes great pleasure in getting under other people's skin and she is very good at this. Much like a child with a hobby of annoyance and destruction the little female has adapted to tainted life quite well. History: Audere began her life as all sekkains, warm and wanted upon the sands. Her rider Liam had expected a fire or an earth, something massive and capable of damage. Instead he got Audere, a tiny, narrow whip of an air with about as much work ethic as a butterfly. She was never attentive and he was always busy. They were perfectly mismatched. She grew and her skill with her element was remarkable. Her father gifted her with a great control, even if she was hardly dangerous where size and bulk were concerned. It also became quickly apparent she was quite the capable flyer. Even the most difficult maneuvers were not beyond. On the ground she was awkward and stilted like a crane or other long legged bird. She recognized Liam's disdain and in some ways resented the boys ire. She was not what he wanted, but she had chosen him. She had picked him from the bunch. Yet he never accepted her, not truly. Even when she showed him how fantastic she was in the air, or how great her ability with her element was, it was never enough. By the time she was full grown they had formed an unsteady truce and she bothered him less. From time to time she would convince the boy to leave his nest of learning for the outside world and when they did it was always pleasant. In the times she traveled alone she had met a disruption with the same problem, a rider who was controlling and did not see his dragon for what he should. They as well formed an unsteady truce which mostly consisted of spooking and hunting wild game, and talking badly about there riders. It was on an unfortunate outing with her rider that she met Phear with his rider. She had heard him talk about the control the man held but had not expected it to be so potent against herself. She became separated from Liam and that wiry man had killed her chosen. The pain had been unbearable, the silence in her mind even worse. She had whipped up a sand storm and retrieved his body before fleeing into the woods. There she mourned for days, clinging to the corpse of her human. Finally hunger drove her from that place. She left him in the roots of a great tree and left her saddle in his lap as a grave marker once the carrion feeders stripped him. Then she fled into the mountains. She needed to be far from anyone, far from anything. There she brooded for months, alone, frozen, and wasting away. She left only to feed herself and to find water. Months passed and the initial numbness passed. With it came a blissful serenity she had not expected. In the silence there was no disappointment, no wishing for something better. In the silence she was free to be herself without recourse. And in that silence began the smallest of nagging sensations, drawing her towards something new, something different. In that tug there was promise of belonging. User Information Username- Chirpadee Contact- pm and stuff Yourself- I WILL ADOPT ALL THE CHARACTERS How did you find Sekkai? arts on the deviant. |
