Run. Run/ Run faster . This thought pushed her, pushed her as fast as she could go. How she had gotten into this situation, she didn't care to remember at the moment, she was more determined to get away from the cackling insane forest dragon that was determined to eat her. She wasn't a fighter, had no hope of defending herself, and the small forest was more than willing to chase her through his own domain. His laughter rang in her ears and taunted her. The worst part, was she wasn't even sure when The damned Gravity was going to return, and if shed be able to find her. This was it. She was going to die in some taint-forsaken jungle. Just like her brother had. Wiping the tears from her face, she forced her legs to move faster. She was already getting tired, she could feel her legs and lungs begin to burn. Raistitar should have found her a better hiding place for her, this shouldn't have happened. or maybe she wanted this to happen. You never know what she wants, and what the stars have foretold of your fate. She won't tell you. She's probably laughing... With a choked sob, she tripped rolling into a rather large clearing, her hands and legs getting scratched up as she hit the ground hard. For a moment she felt like she had broken a rib, the breath had been knocked out of her, but after a few seconds she could gasp for air, and was soon scrambling to get to her feet, however before she could even take a step, the hideous taint had landed, laughing as she managed to let out a choked scream. ~~~ "You have been a wonderful help" The lie rolled off her tongue as the sniveling fire dragon before her nodded. He was relatively young compared to her, however, she had nothing to fear from the strangely small fire that groveled at her feet. The stars had foretold this one coming and his foretold mention of death (Though even though it would be from a scouting party, Rais had already determined to speed it along.) "Excellent," He replied, and Rais hid the disgust behind a suave mask of indifference. She nodded her dismissal, however, once the dragon had his back turned on the female, Rais threw a claw out to grab onto his tail. It was one of her favorite tricks. increase the gravity and see how long they could withstand the pressure before their internal organs could no longer handle it. Even though the fire could feel the crushing weight, he had no chance to fight back. She kept adding to the pressure before the dragon stopped struggling, stopped breathing as internal organs were pressed so tight that they exploded, bones cracking as they couldn't fight it. With that deed done, Rais rolled her gray eyes and reversed the gravity so that the corpse was light as a feather and she pushed him out to fall from the lip of the cave that she had chosen to hide out in for the moment. It wasn't like she needed that fire, he had been only good for one thing, and now that she had what she wanted, she cackled like a mad woman. Clutched in a talon was a purse, and in that purse, was a map to something she assumed would add to her hoard wonderfully. She carefully hung it to the many hanging jewels in her curled horns and after making sure that she had everything she needed, she left. Unfurling her Midnight green wings, she pushed off, using her gravity to float out of the cave before using her massively large wings to beat the air downwards, propelling her massive frame into the air. Had it been night, it would have been neigh impossible to see her, her body matching in with the starry sky, the only things that would be seen would be the moving constellation that adorned the sides of neck before turning into just dusting of stars. But as it was still daylight, she stood out, the sunlight glinting off her scales to reveal the Green sheen that mixed with her patterns. "Off to see if that sniveling brat didn't get eaten today. There was a possible chance that she would. Hope she ran south and not north...." She replied cyrptically to herself as she made her way back to where she had left her minion. It wasn't a surprise when she landed to find the small camp abandoned in a hurry. With a sigh, she folded her wings and mused. Either she wait a while, or she go to find the girl. She voted to wait a bit before leaving. There might be the chance that she would appear again. |

While Anala was surprisingly upbeat, Sarafina was tired and frustrated. While things at the infirmary had calmed down a great deal recently, she still found it near impossible to find time to plan her wedding. Daily she had to remind herself that there was no rush. Leeran, bless his heart, had been doing marvelous for her. Visiting often and cheering her up. But she still felt so busy lately. Especially now, supplies had been running thin for an unknown reason at the Infirmary and so she and Anala had to make frequent trips to gather plants and make many medicines as well as try and experiment with new ones. Today Sarafina was wishing she could nap in Anala's lovely gifted saddle as they landed in the jungle yet again. Sarafina was so familiar with this wild place she hardly ever felt unsafe here. Granted she had her rather giant Fire dragon with her to protect her from anything. "So what's on the list today?" Anala asked, again in her current upbeat way "I know they wanted us to get things to make sunscreen since Summer's almost here. Hell Spring is hot enough as it is!" Sarafina sluggishly looked at her list, indeed the heat made the jungle muggier which perhaps was the reason she felt so slow. "Yeah we gotta get several types of bark today. Jeeze these poor trees" "But you are always careful not to take enough to hurt them" Anala pointed out. Sarafina just sighed. "As well as more aloe and some sweet grasses" She concluded tucking the list back into her pocket. Instead of dismounting she slumped forward to lay within the saddle. In no particular hurry to get moving. Anala gently nudged her with her nose and Sarafina stroked her. Lovingly but without energy. Anala was about to speak again but she froze when she heard something in the distance. Her attention taken, Sarafina was now curious. Obviously her dragon would hear anything far before Sarfina could. But as a soft growl could be heard and felt within the Fire dragon, Sarafina was quick to strap herself back in. Anala launched herself upwards and began to fly in the direction she heard the commotion. It did not take long for her keen eyes to see several trees in the distance being disturbed as something big ran underneath them. Anala circled closer until she saw the source. A tainted looking Forest dragon chasing a young girl. No words were needed between rider and dragon, Anala swooped down, and with one fireball set the Tainted ablaze. But, as she was accustomed to this, Anala wedged her way in the trees and attacked the screaming tainted. Using her elemental powers to take away any flames that could set anything else on fire, the Taint was dead and headless in a matter of moments. NOW Sarafina slid off of her dragon to look for the girl that had been the former Taints target. No doubt she was hiding by this point. "Hello?" she called "It's alright, he's gone...well, dead. We won't hurt you. Are you alright?" she called out hoping the youngster would appear. |

Rais finally didn't want to wait anymore, she would rather take care of the problem (or find the girls body, either way). Again, it was effortless to take off into the air and follow the muffled scream before the sight of smoke caught her eye. Oh this was a new development. With faint curiosity in her eyes, she floated, rather than flew before she was directly over the Fire pair, the corpse of a tainted forest still smoldering where it had fallen and From her current height she could see the youth still hiding in the trees, despite the urgings of the woman. She snorted, floating down to hover around the charred remains. "Well, isn't this a new insight. Burnt salad. That was not on the menu today. I thought I ordered a pancake." She replied, floating above the carnage, completely unperturbed by the sight. She didn't bother to land before circling around to float in front of the fire pair. "Didn't I just send you off?" She randomly questioned the large fire dragoness. "No-wait, that was someone else. But I know you. Yes." Whether the large Gravity was purposefully trying to seem confusing, it was hard to tell, she had a slight faraway look to her. "anyways, Child. You were lucky that the fates decided not to have you eaten. Though, it wasn't predicted that these two would show...or no. you weren't supposed to run east." She shrugged it off as the sounds of careful footsteps indicated that the child, blood running down her arms, appeared. She was still shaking, but she had a cautious look on her face, she didn't trust the new pair. "You should clean that off before you ruin the map. Yes I have a map." Lelayne shuffled her feet, clenching her hands into fists. She had nothing to clean her arms with, what did she expect. She looked down at her hands, before trying to rub the blood away, only to spread it all around and she grumbled. Before she found herself being floated off the ground and she squeaked and flailed, before being deposited in front of Sarafina. "I am pretty sure the healer would be more than willing to assist you. She wont eat you. You've managed to avoid that fate." Lelayne looked down at her feet, shuffling, before taking a deep breath. :Would you please help?" Before she retreated back into her shell, like a frightened mouse. "Once that is done, we have lots of things we need to do." This was spoken to the group as a whole as if it had been decided that the other pair was going to drop everything they were doing and come and help. Well, shed work out the sticky details of it later. |

Anala huffed amused at the dead Forest at her feet. Killing Tainteds had tended to come easy to her. Her belief was that because their minds were still so cluttered they could not think clearly for the most part. However she knew ones like Feijao and Scythe were quite sane enough despite some problems and she had no reason to engage in combat. She felt another tig of pity at her. Were they doing alright? An angry squawk from her saddle bag had Anala turn her head to see Kite scrambling out of it. Awoken from his slumber by the scuffle. As the white gryphon fluttered in front of her face Anala grinned “Oh come now, that was nothing and you know it. Never any real danger! So go help Sarafina. She may need some more supplies” The Fire dragon watched as Kite rolled his eyes and flew back to the saddle bag to root around for a small purse like bag and took it’s handle strap in his beak before flying towards his bonded. As he did, Anala felt an approaching presence and whipped her head around to peer at a dragon in the distance. Tensing, Anala prepared to strike if it became aggressive. But no, it floated closer and Anala was able to see it was a female Gravity. But not one she had ever seen before. So as she came closer and spoke, Anala was perplexed. "Didn't I just send you off?" “Excuse me?” Anala asked sounding insulted. "No-wait, that was someone else. But I know you. Yes." Anala narrowed her yes at the Gravity “I have never seen you before” She said on verge of a growl. But it seemed the other dragon was now more interested in the girl they had saved. Sarafina watched this whole spectacle as Kite landed on her shoulder and like Anala, glared at the Gravity whom was now addressing the girl. But at least it aided in getting her to come out. Sarafina’s eyes welled with concern. Was this girl the Gravity’s bonded? She was so young! They would probably be a tainted pair but something did not seem right. The girl did not seem to be the bonded of this dragon. But those questions would come later. For now, she needed to be healed. “Of course I’ll help dear. It’s alright my Gryphon won’t bite” She said as she dug through her medical bag. Approaching carefully so as not to scare her, Sarafina set to cleaning the girl’s wounds. “I am just glad you are alright now. It’s dangerous to go into these parts on your own. Were you looking for any types of plants? I could help you in that field.” She had over heard the Gravity’s mention of things to do and a map, but Sarafina wasn’t all that interested unless she knew this girl would be alright. Kite still sat on her shoulder watching Sarafina now dressing the wounds with his bright blue eyes. Anala, on the other hand, was conflicted on this whole issue. She looked at the gravity again “You said you knew me. Sadly I cannot recall you, would you mind reminding me? Forgive me for being blunt but I am a little wound up from having to kill a Tainted to protect this girl.” She tried to sound calm and polite but she was tense. Something just did not seem right with all of this. Maybe the Gravity was just insane but Anala was not about to jump to that conclusion just yet. |

Lelayne watched the small gryphon warily, though she said nothing at first. As the healer got to work, she watched with interest. She had always wanted to be a healer, had always wanted to work herbs and be able to heal the sick. But then, Rais had entered her life and everything had changed. for the worst. She didn't make a noise, even when the pain was sharp and when the numbing salve went on, she did make a small sigh of relief. The wounds had pained her throughout her whole run, and she was thankful to have them bond at last. As the Healer talked at her, she pondered whether or not to answer. When Rais said nothing, Lelayne took a chance to answer. "Erm. I was waiting, We..uh. we don't have a home and so, we travel a lot." Her voice was low, quiet and timid. What was she supposed to say to the other woman? I'm being held hostage by a soothsayer? Rais was very convincing. When the woman finished she hid her arms behind her back, and looked down, not knowing what else to say. As Anala spoke to her, Raistitari turned her eyes to her. The look she gave was piercing, clear, decisive. It was as if she was looking into the large fire dragonness's soul and pulling it to pieces. This however didn't last before she broke the gaze and looked up momentarily. Humming to herself, she waited for Lelayne to finish what she was doing, before she turned back to Anala. "Of course you do not know me." She retorted, she smiled. "But I have seen your fate written." She said nothing else really. "Yes, Yes I see, you did do well to dispatch the garden." She didn't seem to care whether or not the girl survived or not, or perhaps she did, she just didn't show it. "Are we done here? A group going after this..this. will be much better than just me, and her, and she's no good if there is a fight." Whether or not the other pair was willing or not, having a healer on board may just make everything better for her, than just attempting it alone. She also couldn't tell what they were going out officially for, however, she knew it to be good. The stars spoke highly of it, and the stars had said she would have an extra pair, they just hadn't been specific on who would be joining them. However, this pair didn't know that. And they needn't know. "You all will be joining. Yes. There is something good at the end of it, you'll get a share. And the Stars have already said that you would agree." "At least for the safety of this one." She added on, reaching up to pluck the letter from her horns. "I'll even let you help decode the map." She offered the pouch to Lelayne who took it with a glance. Oh this was going to be fun. But this was Rais they were dealing with. "And perhaps I'll give you insight on your wedding. Maybe." |

Sarafina’s eyes widened at the girl’s comments. No home? What was going on? The sense that something was very wrong was growing and she was more worried than ever for this girl. Especially since the dragon she accompanied seemed completely off her rocker. Lowering her voice to a whisper and even Kite fluffing himself in a way that seemed less threatening, Sarafina spoke to Lelayne “My name is Sarafina, I’m from the Academy. Do you need help?” It was painfully clear the girl was afraid to speak. She could hear the Gravity say something to Anala, she hoped her Fire did not become enraged. Anala was officially confused enough that for once, she was unsure how to react. She stared right back at the Gravity as she gazed into her eyes. But Anala raised a brow and gave a rather threatening look of her own. At first it seemed to work as the other looked away briefly, but then she looked right back and spoke. "Of course you do not know me. But I have seen your fate written. Yes, Yes I see, you did do well to dispatch the garden." At this Anala blinked and almost looked as if she was in pain from trying to make sense of this. “What garden?!? What the HELL are you talking about?!” She roared. The Gravity seemed unmoved by their tempers. And when she suddenly began speaking of a map and ‘going with them’ somewhere and something about the stars foretelling. Both Anala and Sarafina watched in discomfort as Lelayne approached to fetch something from the Gravity. "At least for the safety of this one." She added which made both Sarafina and Anala (and even Kite) dawn expressions of fright and anger. Again Anala squared off to the loony bin of a Gravity. “All right enough of this! What are you doing with this girl? She is clearly not your rider, and you certainly don’t seem to care, so why not just let us take her and bring her home? And another thing!-“ Sarafina ran up and put her hand on Anala’s paw, a silent gesture to hush. Being aggressive may put her in danger. Anala lowered her head to her rider who whispered. “Yelling may make it worse, I say we follow them and see just what it is she’s talking about. Maybe we can learn more and be of more help to the girl?” Sarafina suggested. Anala said nothing but gave her a look indicating agreement. However at the next comment, Sarafina could not control her gasp. "And perhaps I'll give you insight on your wedding. Maybe." Sarafina’s hand went to cover her ring protectively. She could almost feel it pulse under her touch. Her mind raced wondering how the hell this dragon would know anything about that. She looked up at Rais. “And just how do I know you actually know anything about that?” She asked calmly but her heart was pounding and needing to know more. But Anala gently picked her up and placed her in the saddle. Kite crawling back into his protective bag but still keeping watch from within. Oh gods this may be one of those days. “Fine we will accompany you for now…but any tricks and I swear I will rip you to pieces!” She hissed. She wished Savitr was here, he may be better at confronting one of his own breed even if this one was completely insane. Hell she wished anyone was here for backup. She wondered if Scythe or Feijao were close by at all. |

Lelayne didn't even start to open the bag. With Rais being in such a weird mood, she wouldn't know what the large gravity dragon would want. Not that it mattered truly. Keeping her face more calm and stoic, she blinked at Sarafina when she started whispering to her. trying to keep her eyes from going wide, she bit her lip. Wasn't freedom what she wanted? But then Rais was all she had. This was the life that she knew, and anything else scared the girl more than the gravity did. Besides, the gravity had saved her life more times than she could count, even when it seemed like she wanted nothing to do with her. "I will be fine." She replied, rubbing at her bandaged arms. However, when Anala raised her voice, she couldn't stop the flinch that crossed her features. She seemed to be a dragon that rubbed with Rais the wrong way. She hoped that their wasn't going to be a fight. Rais was old, had experience, and even the fire was large, would she be able to combat the gravity? Raistitari was not disturbed by Anala's annoyance. "That garden." She gestured at the tainted forest. "What else would you have fried?" With a wave of her claw she dismissed their looks. OF course, she meant to have more strong power to protect the human. She had no idea what she would come across, and if she got into a situation where it became difficult to protect the minion, than these two would come in handy. She seemingly was staring at Anala with a distant look, as if she was pondering something. A light bulb flashed in her mind and she chuckled. Before she realized that Anala was challenging her claim to the girl. "What does it matter to you? She is mine, I found her, I saved her. She won't go with you. I know her fate." She responded, slight irritation creeping into her voice. She shook it off. "we don't have time for this." She muttered before looking back at Sarafina, after they conversed between themselves. She didn't seem to noticed the girl who had taken the hint and had climbed up the large dragoness with ease, as if she was a dragonrider herself. Well, she was in almost everything but the bond and official training. "The stars have told me. Your fiance's a water rider." She looked at Anala. "You won't be able to." She responded to Anala's threat. "Even if I were tricking you, which, I am not. I have no reason to. It is more to my benefit that I am honest with you." To an extent. Not that they needed to know. "Now, we have one more stop before we begin." Like a feather, she pushed off, lightening her mass and springing up into the air, like a balloon that had just been released, and when she was high enough, her large wings snapped open and she flew off, knowing the Fire Dragonness would be able to keep up with her. The stop wasn't very far, and she knew its location. And its inhabitant. Not that he would know her. As she breached the main of his home, She circled, before landing with ease and confidence. "Oy! Scythe. Are you ready? You are late. I have been waiting for you." She replied, becoming more pleased with the small party that she was gathering. |

Sarafina strapped herself in. Still concerned for the girl, but at least the Gravity gave an explanation. So she had found her and saved her. Well that was something but…to leave her in a place like this? She did not like that at ALL. And maybe this dragon really did not know of she and Leeran at all. Perhaps she just saw Sarafina’s ring and overheard her talking about the wedding. But then her next sentence send a cold shiver through her. "The stars have told me. Your fiance's a water rider." Sarafina could not hide her gasp. Even Anala flinched in surprise at this. At the moment all Sarafina wanted was to go home and run into Leeran’s arms. But now she had reason to enquire this dragon. There was obviously something to her. Anala shifted uncomfortably, Sarafina said softly “I think we should. At least to-“ “Yes yes” She grumbled. Snarling angrily at the Gravity as she said she would not be able to harm her. But Sarafina patted her gently to calm her. “You could at least tell us your name you know.” Sarafina said before they began to take off. Reluctantly, the Fire dragon leaped up and followed the Gravity but at a careful distance. However it became very clear they were heading in a familiar direction. ~~~ The Air dragon was sleeping peacefully. It was a hot day he was happy to have a nap in his cooler home. But of course at the slightest sound of approaching wing beats, he awoke. He tensed and listened. Before he even heard the voice of the Gravity a familiar scent it his nose. “Anala?” he asked, but then an unfamiliar voice called out to him. He peered out of his home and indeed saw the pink Fire dragon but the Gravity was the one calling his name. With some tension (he could see Anala’s less than pleased expression) He exited carefully, his eyes never leaving the new arrival. “Anala, Sarafina, I am happy to see you, as distressed as you seem but-“ He paused and looked right at Rais. “But who are you, how do you know of me, and…have we met before?” He looked at her with a raised brow, feeling quite uncomfortable but grateful that the Fire pair was here. |

Rais flicked her tail at the fire pair, and merely continued on. When the Air finally appeared she gave a happy hum of contentment. This was good. This would work out marvelous. She could get the treasure, and have a bit of fun while at it. She had always wanted to see what it was like leading a small group out like this in to unknown danger instead of being the one to follow. "Probably. Probably not. But that is not important. Why does everyone think it is?" she questioned allowed before shrugging it off with her large wings. "Anyways, We are off on a hunt of sorts, and you are needed. The Stars have deemed it so." Again, maybe the Stars had, maybe the stars hadn't. If they themselves knew naught how to read the stars, than they could not call her out on her twisting the words of others. "Besides, you look positively bored with nothing to do here." She finished, casting her gaze around the small area that Scythe had called his 'home.' She couldn't judge, nor did she really care. Her own hoard was stashed far away in a deep cavern in the Fang mountains that was extremely difficult and dangerous to get to if one did not know one's way. Not too mention all the booby traps that she had painstakingly placed around. Lelayne could barely navigate it by herself. Lelayne clung to the back of Rais neck, her wave of fur tickling her nose, and she forced back a sneeze. What was Rias going on about and she wondered how long this new mood or obsession with this treasure was to last. There were times that Rais would get completely bored with something and ditch it half way in. "Anyways, we have a map, we know where we're going. So Let us not dally" She took this cue and opened the small pouch that the older gravity had entrusted to her. After several moments of looking at it, she finally figured out where they were supposed to head. "North. Towards the mountains." She commented, and Rais repeated her to the small gathering. "Let us go then!" And with that said, with every expectancy that the air was going to follow, she took off. It was time to begin. |

As the Gravity spoke, Scythe wondered if he was still asleep or at least half asleep. What this dragon was saying wasn't making any sense. Was he missing chunks of her sentences or was she just nuts? His sleepy golden eyes looked to the Fire pair for answers, Sarafina shrugged desperately and Anala looked to the ravity and then back to Scythe as if to say 'you see? Nut job!' Scythe shook his head. "Well, if Sarafina and Anala are accompanying you, I shall as well if only for their added protection. I prefer straightforwardness and it seems you don't seem to grasp that concept" He paused when he saw Lelayne and again looked to the Fire pair. Their expressions told him everything. With a grumble he took his place beside them. He almost asked what Map and where to but he already thought better of it. He would get no answers from this dragon and like Sarafina and Anala, was now in for curiosity's sake. They lifted off and Scythe stayed close to Anala. And they silently conversed to themselves. Both very suspicious of this newcomer. sarafina was too but she whispered, still in astonishment "She knew about Leeran and I" At this Scythe keyed in on the girl's hand. AHA! So the stone Feijao had given the lad did make it to her wedding ring! Splendid! Oh he wanted to celebrate for them, but it may have to wait. Perhaps when this silliness was over. All the same, he had to admit it was chilling that the Gravity would know of Sarafina's wedding plans and her fiance at all. It sent a shiver down his spine. "We better be getting close" Scythe said to Rais now "Take us too far and I will promptly turn around and take these ladies home!" He growled in warning.. He really did not want to have to fight anyone again. |

Rais snorted when Scythe threatened taking them home. They wouldn't think of it. Not if she used the supposed threat that her minion was in trouble. Other than that, All they had to do was follow her. Well, wherever that would be. She didn't know until the got there, and that was if the girl read the map correctly. She'd be mightily unpleased if the girl didn't read the map correctly. And even if Scythe decided to try and fight her, well. She could be quick if she had too. She just continued to float along, using her wings to propel her through the air. Lelayne gripping what she could of her fur, hanging on as they flew. It helped that the gravity used her power to make her stay on the gravity's back, but flying without a saddle was never fun. Not something she wanted to do, but the gravity wouldn't spend any of her hoard to get even a run-down saddle. She kept her eye on the map, crudely drawn, it was almost difficult to tell where exactly where she was going, she was the eyes of the gravity, while the gravity was everything else. the brain, the brawn. What every Lelayne couldn't be. Well, in the eyes of the gravity, Lelayne was only good as a servant. She hated that. "There!" She directed the gravity to the base of the mount of one of the foot hills. It hadn't been a terribly long flight, but perhaps it had felt like forever to the two Sekkains that had been recruited by the seemingly crazy gravity. When she landed, Lelayne was quick to disembark, and shake herself, feeling better with her two feet on the ground. when the others had landed, the gravity nudged her along. The space that they had landed in, was large enough for the three of them, and what stood before them was a large Cavern. It was dark and ominous, something that nobody would willingly want to wander in. At the edges of the opening, discrepant vines still clung to the edges, long since dead and slowly decaying on the spot that they had once lived on. This didn't bother the gravity like it visibly bothered the girl, that slowly started walking forwards. "Well, you won't have to worry now, Scythe. We are here." She replied finally to his last statement. "And Be wary. there might be things in there." What sort of things that would be living in the cave could only be left to the imagination, or she could just be lying, twisting words and emotions to get what she wanted, a group to go after a treasure. And even then, who knew if this supposed treasure even existed? Perhaps she was looking for a new spot to move her hoard and needed help evicting current inhabitants? |

Anala, while glad they were landing in a space they could all fit in, was still looking to Scythe with worry over the whole situation. The Fire and Air dragons landed and stood next to each other. Sarafina shifted a bit but Anala looked at her. "Sarafina, stay on my back. I know I don't normally order you, but I want to make sure you're safe" At this Sarafina opened her mouth to protest, but Anala's large teal eyes held a great deal of sincerity and worry. So she refrained from arguing. Why were they even here if Anala was so worried? Ah yes, the girl. Sarafina wanted to make sure she was alright, but damn it all what did this dragon know about her beloved Leeran?? Scythe likewise watched with a wary eye. His ears swiveled to listen for any sign of life within the cave and sniffed carefully. Upon seeing Rais nudge Lelayne, He snorted and stepped forward. "If you want her to go in first I am going in with her." He said sternly. He was unsure if this was her plan but he decided to make his stance known. He looked down at the young girl. "If you like you can sit on my back. That way you don't have to walk and worry about the darkness tripping you up?" The Air was still the protective gentleman as always. He felt it a better way of life than the silent assassin he once was. Anala and Sarafina exchanged glances before Sarafina nodded her head. With a sigh Anala started forward and entered the cave but making sure they were behind Rais. They did not know the Gravity well enough to let her exit their sights. ((Sorry, I know it's short I was worried I'd loose steam...Nnnoooo!))

Rais Swiveled her ears to look at the air as he suddenly stepped forward to escort Lelayne. She didn't say anything really, just looked at him curiously, the mental gears in her mind working as she thought on how she felt about this. Finally she shrugged. "Do what you will then." While the Sekkains might think they would be safe with one in front, one behind, if she was anywhere near, she could squish both of them without trying. If she had to. But she didn't think she would have to. As long as they didn't attack her, or try and steal anything of hers, than she'd be perfectly fine. Watching Lelayne, she gazed at the back of the girls head, and if she was uncomfortable about it, it mattered not. They had found the place the map had said, and she watched as the girl thought about it. Lelayne looked up at the ex-tainted air and then back at the cave entrance. She shook her head. Not that she didn't think the offer was gracious, she just hated being so far away from the ground. "Thank you anyways." She mumbled, before digging around in the small pack that blended in with the rest of her clothes. Producing a lantern she lit it and began to walk. The gravity snorted and rolled her eyes, before following after the two. She had no idea what they would encounter in the large cave, or how deep it went, or how long this would take. All she knew was that there was a treasure and that if they cleaned it out, she could easily take over the cave. And three dragons going after it, would be easier than just her little old self. Following the lantern wasn't hard. The instructions weren't too hard for the girl to read, and despite how nervous the girl probably was, she held herself like Rais had taught her. The first fork they came too, they made a right, the lantern leading them more confidently down. However, Something or something had started to sound weird, like a large slithering, followed with scraping of claws along stone floor. And their seemed to be more than one, oddly enough. Rais muzzle twitched, but she watched with interest as the lantern paused for the first time. It looked like they had very unhappy company. |

Scythe ignored the Gravity even though he felt her eyes upon him. He did not exactly care for this one, something seemed odd about her. And the poor girl with her, he worried for that one. All the same, he nodded respectfully at her decline of his offer. “Very well dear, but if it’s alright with you I prefer to stay close just in case” he said and politely walked beside her as the girl held the lantern and continued onward. “Anala, Sarafina, give me a holler whenever needed!” he called to the fire pair. He almost said to keep their senses alert and wits about them, but he knew all too well it did not needed to be said. That pair were sharp as could be. “Of course Scythe” Anala replied, she was on a similar train of thought. She did not like this. She was half tempted to just knock out the Gravity, grab Lelayne and whisk her away to the Academy. But that would be unwise. Anala was smart enough to know risks, and it was always a risk to take on a Gravity dragon (Oh if only Savitr knew this). So for now, she kept the stranger in her sights. Sarafina, likewise, looked about nervously. Normally she was fine with caves but this one was succeeding in creeping her out and she was unsure why. However a big hint was dropped when Scythe suddenly stopped dead in his tracks and swiveled his ears about. Likewise Anala stopped and listened keenly and sniffed the air. This made Sarafina tense and she tried to pretend she did not hear anything, but she did. Slithering and scraping, something alive. Anala suddenly growled fiercely, drowning out the other sounds but it did not help. “Well well, you brought us here, I think it is only fair you be the first to address any issues we run into. Aggressive or not!” Anala said to Rais. Already Scythe was standing protectively over Lelayne growling himself. Now he needed to know why that crazed Gravity had brought them here. |

Of course, Rais's own ears were turning about, and when Anala spoke up, she snorted. Of course, they wanted to default to her. "Well, if you wanted me to deal with it, you picked a poor formation to let me handle it." Rais commented dryly. She didn't seem to care that Lelayne was the most forefront in danger, nor did she seem to care that wood pecker colored Air was standing over her. However before Anala could do anything, Rais was already managing to squeeze herself around the Air dragon, ignoring anything they said afterwards. She was more focused on getting through the cave to the treasure. She wasn't sure what treasure was down there, but. She would get there. Unlike Lelayne who needed the light, Rais had a fair bit more better night vision. So as she encroached unafraid or not bothered by the hissing, she was quick to establish that a few chimera's had managed to wander in. It was a slightly larger group, Four, but then Chimera's usually wandered in pairs and it was highly possibly they had just converged in one tunnel. Didn't matter. To the three dragons, one standing at almost 130 feet long, this was nothing. The only hustle they were worried about was her minion and even then. She didn't see any danger. The only thing that Lelayne may suffer would be a sprained ankle. IF she didn't watch out. "These aren't that dangerous." Rais snorted, But none the less with a well place swing of her paw she had them swept up violently into the side, and with increased gravity, she could hear the organs popping almost simultaneously. "There. Problem solved." With a shake of her head, she waited as Lelayne started moving again. The lantern light bobbing up and down. Up and down as she carefully continued to lead them down the hall way, deeper into the cavern. For awhile, nothing happened, a few snakes, a few bats disturbed, but nothing that sent of anyone's hairs standing on end. Nor more forks in the road showed up, and it looked like it was going to be a straight shot down. Well, until they reached another fork. But unlike this one, this one emptied into a larger cavern, oblong shaped. And a whistling whooshing sound could be heard. Once the light started to shine, the dim figure of a sleeping dragon guarding the two forks met their eyes. Lelayne stopped, and then wisely pressed herself closer to the Air dragon as Rais simple ignored any and all danger that the dragon could present to them. None the less she was quiet as she tried to start moving around the large dragon, whose breed was unrecognizable in the cavern den. However he must have been a light sleeper. For the moment Rais even tried getting within three feet of the door, the dragon awoke with a might roar. Smartly, nimbly, Rais bounced backwards, like a cat, as a tail aimed at her. However, once Rais was safely out of the doors reach, the Dragon made no other move towards the group. But he growled and Snarled. "Who dares awakens my slumbers?" |
