So sayeth the Spider

While Scythe's brow rose at the Gravity female's rather nonchalant handling of the situation with the chimeras as he stood protectively over Lelayne, Anala just watched with a rather unimpressed yet expectant expression. Well hell yes she expected the Gravity to deal with problems like that! This was HER silly little outing and Anala was still annoyed that she and her rider and Scythe were here. They shouldn't be. But of course any mention of Leeran and Sarafina was hooked. Anala also found herself watching the spectacle and making a mental note so she could debate telling Savitr of his power verses keeping him in the dark so his head did not inflate. No doubt he'd find out what he was capable of at some point. But still... The Fire dragon opted to again ignore the gravity's snide remarks. Well of course they weren't dangerous to the three of them! But the two humans were another matter. All the same when the beasts were dealt with, Scythe fell back just a little so he was walking more beside Rais. This way he could let Rais go ahead of them yet still be by Lelayne to help her if needed. In truth Sarafina herself was wishing they had not come here. But what now? They already were, and of course Anala would never let anything happen to her! But still....how did this dragon she had never seen before know of Leeran and Parachanna? She had to know more somehow. She was so lost in thought over her beloved that she did not even really notice the fork they came to or even which path they took. And odd mistake for Sarafina to make as she was normally rather observant. Today was just one of those days it seemed. She felt Anala stiffen underneath her and realized that they were no longer walking. It was then Sarafina looked up and ahead to see Rais moving ahead...right to a large slumbering dragon. And Sarafina could pretty much feel Anala's smugness as well as her discomfort as the large brute awoke with a loud roar that sent Sarafina curling to cover her ears. Scythe quickly pulled Leyalne back to him and stood beside his Fire companions. He almost expressed apology and an explanation but what could he say? That they were blindly following this potentially crazed Gravity on a claimed vision? Even saying it in his head confused him. All the same he gave Rais a glare to indicate she better speak up since she woke the brute in front of them. ((*sigh*)) |

Rais ignored all the glares from her following companions. It mattered not. What mattered was the brute in front of them. She didn't know what breed it was, or had been, nor did she particularly care. All she knew was that it was in her way and that they were going to pass, whether it liked it or not. Whether a fight ensued or not. This had been hazy, so she wasn't entirely sure that they would get out without a fight, but she would like to pretend that they would. "I am no one and everyone. Honestly, it doesn't matter, won't matter. You are in our way." She sniped at the large dragon. Honestly she was getting annoyed at the simple things that kept blocking her way, but something told her that there was not only this simple brute in her way. And to have two extra hands would be a well worth thing. Not like they would know. "You three are the ones that have disturbed my slumber." It growled at him. Her ears swiveled to hear claws clicking on the Stone, trying to silently crawl up behind them. Shifting changes in the gravity's force alerted her that if they weren't careful, they'd be ambushed. "And you're the one ambushing us, So that's makes us even" Whether or not the previous slumbering dragon had in face planned an ambush or that there were just other dragons lurking about, didn't seem to faze Rais. She tensed, hoping that the fire and air had the tunnel they were coming from covered, as she could hear claws, but could not distinguish if there were multiple dragons or just one. Though her statement that rang through the cavern certianly notified her companions that there were more than one, and most likely not friendly. While Rais whipped into motion, flinging herself at the large dragon before them, the dragon that had been trying to sneak up on them, flung itself at one of the sekkain companions, claws outstretched to tear into anything it could get to. Smartly, Lelayne had dove to the side away from all the dragons and hide behind a rock right after Rais had said something and before the other dragon had made itself known. She had been around the gravity long enough to read between the lines. |

All at one, Sarafina, Anala, AND Scythe all slapped their faced with their hand at the Gravity's brash speaking to the dragon before them. Right, they were in trouble now. Anala had had enough. With a tug at Scythe she quickly turned and started out of the cave. Let the mighty Soothsayer deal with the drama she created. But the Air dragon stopped Anala by touching her shoulder. "No, we can't leave them, especially the girl" He said. At this Anala's eyes widened. She wanted to demand if he was mad and almost reminded him of his tainted origins, but luckily she had enough sense and wit left to know never to be so brash and hurt her friend. Instead Anala gritted her teeth and looked to Sarafina. "You. Go to Lelayne and stay hidden. I will keep you safe. But if things get bad...Run. Understand?" She asked her rider. Sarafina sighed and nodded. She did not like this. She had intended to only fight when it was needed to protect. Hence why they did in the war. She reminded herself that Lelayne needed help and slid down Anala's back and ran to the girl's hiding place. She herself would have fought but currently she lacked any real weapons. She only had her ring that could heal, Sarafina paryed she would not need it. "Don't worry Anala and Scythe are good fighters, but I am instructed to get you out if things get hairy" She told the other girl and hunkered down as the head butting began. And indeed it did. When the 2nd dragon made itself known, Anala was fast to aim a powerful fire blast right at it's face. Scythe's air maneuvers helping to spread the flame right where she wanted it. As their foe yowled in pain Anala could see it was either a mutated crystal or glass. Just then Scythe darted in and knocked the brute off it's feet before Anala charged in and sank her teeth in it's neck. Thinking Rais better be keeping the other brute busy since she mouthed off to him! Behind the boulders Sarafina prayed for her dragon and listened. Dammit they needed to survive this so she could get married. Oh heavens above she just wanted to get married! |
