It was hard to pinpoint just what was going on within Blair. But Krakatoa had suspected it was the cracking of their crystal coupled with other stresses. Indeed Blair's mood had turned damned near dangerous since they had gotten Yorek to the Academy. Oh the girl was thrilled they had saved him but there was obvious discomfort on her part about him going there. Blair had made it clear she would rather he stay with them. But Bolrock was steadfast and Blair always respected him, and when Yorek said he'd like to try, that was that. Naturally Blair worried for him. What if he DID bond? Would they ever have him back in their family? This was just some stresses of many. Blair was also trying to deal with Byrn's new health issues hand in hand with her love for him but also her voracious sexual appetite. Of course Bolrock helped a great deal with this but Blair did not want Byrn to feel left out by any means. And within all of that loveliness, she was still wondering where they could live now. Yes, they were soldiers of the Legion but unlike the Academy they were expected to care for themselves. Which was fine, and hell now they had protection, but it was a damned tricky business with 3 growing dragons. One of which would grow larger than most natural formations had room for. Whatever the reasons, Blair had been very very testy and short tempered lately. She even writhed and snarled in her sleep. It seemed only Aiyana could approach her without some form of terrifying look from the green fire of her eyes. But perhaps that was because the Phoenix did not speak with words. At the moment Blair was chewing on a bone from a recent deer kill. Growling as she did so. They were in the jungle forests and so Krakatoa had to stay in clearings or preferably on rocky outcrops if he could fit. His own mood was tested because with his size and this current Terrain, it was hard for him to be as close to Blair and obviously this did NOT sit well with him. But at the moment he was asleep under a large cliff and Blair knew now was probably her only window to let off some steam. She stalked over to her brother and nuzzled him gently. "I am going on a hunt....for me" Those last two words to her sentence would be a clear statement to Byrn of just what she was hunting. "I am NOT in a good mood and you know I need to burn some energy. You know how to track me but don't wake or worry Krakatoa unless I am gone too long." With that she kissed Byrn softly on the lips and swiftly turned and fled into the trees with Aiyana following from above. In truth the Trio were being risky. While not TOO close to Lihn or the Academy, they were close enough to sometimes cross paths taken by travelers seeking herbs or hunting. So Blair knew just where to go. Aiyana flew through the branches above with ease looking out for prey for her bonded while Blair sniffed and listened carefully. She knew it was only a matter of time before an unfortunate soul happened by. Nothing personal, but I am hungry and must survive. Blair though to herself. But deep inside the darkness within her writhed for action and blood. |

To even get out of the Academy, she had to heckle. Finally, She had managed to gain a day's trip out with proper escorts which thrilled Lady to no end. OF course, if the Noble Scholar had her own dragon, it would be slightly easier for them to let her out on her excursions, but flights were over, and now it was a waiting game. Unlike most candidates that probably worried and pondered, Isabeau figured that if she had a partner, then she had one. She hoped she did. She would deal with gender and breed when it came to that. She held no breed higher than the other, and even if she bonded to the smallest rosemary she would be tickled. Each breed had it's own quarks, after all. Trekking through the forest, she was on a hunt. She hoped to find a rare elusive plant that could be found in the jungle, but was rarely found. It would help greatly in one work of paper that she was working on and she would love to have a live specimen. Not only that, it supposedly have good healing properties; and if she could gather a living specimen and plant more, it could help the Infirmary out as well. All in all, it would benefit everyone if she could find even just one. While her ride and one escort stayed with the stuff, one travelled with her, occasionally disappearing a head of her to check to make sure everything was alright. She was always grateful when others took time out of their day to help her on her endeavors. She would have to find a way to repay them. Shrugging the Ice Phoenix off her shoulder, Isabeau tucked her hair behind her ear, white strands shimmering in the slight sun the peered down. Dressed appropriately in winter traveling apparel, Even her clothes screamed rich, but that didn't bother the girl. She had been born and raised as nobility, and while she didn't flaunt it like her mother, she did keep what privileges she could--and clothing was one. While it wasn't flashy, it was obvious they were well made. The ice phoenix circled above her, disgruntled. But Isabeau couldn't take having the ice phoenix constantly on her shoulder in the dead of winter. It was cold enough with out the Ice phoenix there. Of course, Mhera thrived in this weather. While Isabeau Crotched to examine a cluster of plants, hoping that she had finally found what she was looking for, her escort started looking around to protect the area so to speak. He ducked beneath the trees' unknowingly walking into the presences of a deadly hunter.... Byrn hummed, tacking the downtime as they moved around to patch up his clothing from various holes that had been torn or from simple wear. He hoped to be able to get some new ones, fresh ones and hopefully more durable ones. He hated the seemingly flimisness of his clothing at the moment. But what could he do at the moment. The best bet they'd have to secure clothing would be to have funds, and they were done on that. They'd have to go rob or steal stuff that they needed. As Blair came over to him, he smiled, carefully running a hand through her hair as she kissed him. He frowned, but sighed. She needed it, to release all that pent up frustration and anger. He felt almost sorry for the sod she caught. "Just be careful, love, and come back to me, us." He whispered against her lips as she left. Ts'akab snorted, having an easier time than his bulkhead hatchmate of hiding in the trees. |

Well, it was not long. Blair was only waiting at most an hour. She smelled and heard a horse drawing a small cart approaching down the path. Blair froze and watched as an old draft horse appeared with a small cart behind it. The man whipped at the beast as it slowed when the path became more overgrown and Blair's eyes narrowed. Inside the cart was a girl dressed like some noble. Blair almost chuckled as it reminded her of Vimala. She felt Aiyana staring intently at them as well from above. She was well hidden to their eyes luckily but Blair could clearly see the Ice phoenix which must me what her own Phoenix was keeping her eyes on. Watching on, the girl separated from her escort and wandered off towards a large selection of plants. The man began to attempt to lead the horse a bit further down the trail. Of course the horse protested, and the man proceeded to hit it. With barely a sound Blair slipped back and down. Slinking behind the mossy logs and overgrown ferns keeping her eyes, ears, and nose focused as she crept closer. When she was in a proper position, she watched amused as the horse reared up neighing and pulled the man back as it backed away from the predator that of course the horse was well aware of. Blair could see the scars from previous whipping on the creature's flanks. Well, at least now she felt no guilt over what she was about to do. "Down you bloody beast! There's no cats or snakes now! Idiot horse!" He struck at it with his stick whip but the horse snorted and ran back. The man of course began to curse but before he began to trudge after it, Blair spoke softly. "Oh, but you are the idiot. Your horse was only trying to warn you of a predator and you repay it with pain" The man twisted around suddenly to look for whomever he heard and this said 'predator' he froze and looked around and then slowly reached for a knife on his belt. Faster and more silent than a cat, Blair struck. She leaped up behind her prey and covered his mouth with a black leather strip and pulled him down into the brush. Her weight upon him as they slid down a small incline, Blair muffled what sounds he uttered as his eyes finally took in the form of his death. She would have simply attacked with her teeth but she knew she had to be fast so she stabbed into his neck with one of her longer blades and held down his hands with her boots. The blood spurted forth and Blair immediately began to drink as she dug her blade in strategically to ensure the fatal wound. She drank until the blood flow slowed and she quickly used an empty canteen to save some more. Aiyana flew down to her still watching for the girl and her own bird. Blair quickly set to cutting open the man's abdomen to discard any organs that would not be used. Primarily stomach and intestines etc. However she WAS very hungry, so although she always preferred to cook her meat, Blair sank her teeth into a kidney and ate a few mouthfuls. A hiss from Aiayna warned her that the girl may well have seen that her escort was missing. Instantly she tensed and looked about. Even through the blood Blair could smell the other girl near. Aiyana flew back up to a camouflaged spot readying for an attack to defend her bonded if needed. Blair stalked around on all fours sniffing and listening. After a moment her nose and ears told her what she needed to know and she smiled. Blood still dripping from her teeth and lips. "There is no need to hide" She said in a chilling tone "I know you are near. I can smell you and hear you" Her animal like movements just adding to the rather terrifying situation "Don't be shy. Step where I can see you before I find you myself" Blair's voice was calm and almost friendly but there was a slyness and almost a seductive undertone. She was amused, oh this would be fun. |

She let her escort go ahead of her for a moment, figuring that it’d be alright for the moment. He would swing back around and they could continue on their way. The cluster of plants that she had found where not what she was looking for. Upon closer inspection of the leaves, she found they were more ridged than smooth, and looked to be kin of a poisonous ivy. Great. She was quick to dump her canteen of water on her hands, just in case and turned to go….though a sense of dread settled in her stomach. Looking around, she couldn’t see her escort. The cart and horse were still there, and she straightened her shoulders. Part of the reason she was allowed out here was with one and the man had said he would be up for the job. The fact that, for the moment, he had gone and ditched her….? No, perhaps he was just relieving himself? Mhera had gone deathly still on her shoulder, and suddenly she could hear his cry, as she went to try and soothe the startled horse that hadn’t quite bolted yet. She paused and then slowly tried to creep closer. For a pampered noble, she did know her way around the jungle, knew where to put her feet that wouldn’t cause so much rustling of leaves or stepping on sticks. But what she witnessed, was something she knew she would never be able to unsee. Hell, she might have nightmares after this. She studied the eating habits of other animals, had seen gore much like this, but….but this was a human girl killing and...eating her escort. She felt like she was going to throw up, and she swallowed. She had to keep calm. She had Mhera. She could send for the other escort. The dragonrider. Before she could even move, or do anything, the killer was talking to her. Her? Who was this person? A cannibal by the way she ate body parts and drank their blood. Part of her mind wondered if she learned the practices from a tribe, if it was a cultural thing…or else, why. But, this wasn’t a time for questioning, and observing. Her life was in complete danger. And she had to get out of it one way or another. At a dilemma, should she reveal herself, or should she try to run? The horse was just a few feet away, if she could hop on it, perhaps she could outrun the cannibal? With silence, The Ice Phoenix left her Shoulder and moved away, unbidden by her rider. While the Ice Phoenix wanted to attack the other, the visible command that Isabeau gave told the bird what needed to happen. Neither of them were aware of the flora Phoenix, but Mhera left, winging up and away. With her heart pounding the beats of war drums in her ear, She slowly inched out, silver eyes flashing all around as she forced herself to show herself. There was no way she was going to make it to her horse in time. The other was far too close for a leaping pounce. Questions burned in her mind, but she was rooted to the spot in fear. She had never been in such a situation, the other wasn’t going to hurt her was she? Oh gods, she didn’t really want to die. Isabeau knew how to fight, knew self-defense, but she was no great fighter. She had a few years in the training growing up, but this girl, the way she had taken down a trained soldier who had had years and years of experience behind him….Isa probably didn’t stand a chance. Besides, her forte was more speed attacks than feats of strength. Despite her pounding heart, she managed to keep her body still. She held herself tall, keeping eye contact with her would-be murderer. “I do not mean you any harm.” She began, her tone even calm, coolish. The only way Blair would know Isa was afraid was the slight flush of pink on her cheekbones, and if she could hear her heartbeat. “I...I am a scholar at the academy, I was just on the hunt for a particular rare plant……” She trailed off, trying to keep her eyes from taking in the blood-there was so much blood. But she should know that, Biology was her forte, there was a lot of liquids in an adult human body. One hand reached to grab at a dagger she kept at the back of her waist. She gripped at it, but she made no move to draw it. If the other attacked, however……. Isabeau dearly hoped that the upcoming clutch at the academy held something for her. Half her wished Mhera’s comforting presence was still on her shoulder, but she knew that the Ice phoenix was the only way she could get out of this situation. |

Above them, Aiyana held still remaining hidden but her eyes were locked on the other phoenix. Normally Aiyana would not care about seeing another of her kind but she knew all too well that this one posed a potential threat. One that she would protect her Blair from at all costs. When the girl urged the Ice phoenix upward, Aiyana locked on, and as soon as the paler bird was above the canopy, Aiyana shot up after her. She attacked first from behind. With her first blow a success, Aiyana knew now to attack from afar. If she got too close the Ice Phoenix’s attacks could slow her down quite a bit. Besides her main goal was to lead the other away from her Blair and stop it from bringing more dangerous people. Crying out in challenge, several hard seed pods shot from the tree tops towards the other bird now. Blair watched intensely as the girl stepped into view. She was not worried about her bird, Aiyana would handle that. She listened as the girl spoke. Ah, a Scholar eh? Looking for a plant? Pity Bolrock was not here. As often happened after Blair made a kill and drank blood, she was feeling energized and playful in a dark creepy way. Blair grinned and crept forward just a little. “Well now…A Scholar from the academy eh? That’s interesting” She said and sniffed the air again “Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there aren’t much in the way of rare plants here. Perhaps 10 or so miles west, but not this area, we have looked” It was true. Bolrock had made a detailed sweep for anything valuable. If there was they had gotten it (of course leaving enough for it to grow back but nothing anyone could harvest. Her eyes darkened as she saw the girl reach behind her. With a growl Blair’s tone changed “If you don’t wish to end up like your guide over there you best keep that blade sheathed” Again she stalked around the girl from a safe distance but close enough to strike if needed “I do not kill unless I have a reason. So do not give me one. The fool with you died because I was hungry and he was being needlessly cruel to that horse” Already though Blair was wondering what should be done about this girl. Initially she felt the girl may have to be killed so as not to send soldiers upon them, but then again they were essentially under the protection of not only their dragons, but the tainted legion as well. Well, whether the girl lived or died, Blair wanted some entertainment. A break from her stress and boredom. “From the Academy you say? Yes I can smell that. Do tell me, as a scholar you want to know as much as you can. I can tell you are curious or you would have run screaming by now. I have a little time before I have to drag that carcass back for me to cook properly and I am feeling generous. Do you wish to learn anything from me?” Sure she was feeling mischievous, but would this girl do anything besides try to get away? If she ran, instinct would make Blair chase her down, but she hoped a chance at amusement would not end so quickly. “Again, do not try to trick me, it will not end well” |

Isabeau mouth twitched when she snarled at her. Interesting way of thinking, but still, murder was murder. "I would think killing him simply because of his treatment of horse is a little harsh." She replied, not withdrawing the weapon, but she kept her hand on it none the less. It made her feel better. "Perhaps you haven't found anything, but How should I know that? It's an elusive plant to begin with." She fidgeted, never taking her eyes off the woman, keeping her back to the tree. She hissed when she saw the other Phoenix take off after Mhera and start attacking her. But, there was nothing she could do for the bird, she trusted the bird to be able to take care of herself. She hoped that this woman was alone. A foolish attempt of hoping that she stood a chance of getting away, she dearly hoped that there weren't others around. She was slightly confused, though, when the other started to prompt her to ask her questions. Isabeau didn't know how to take it all in. The stench of the blood started to make her nauseous, but she merely breathed through her mouth instead of her nose. Was this girl going to kill her or sit here and try and converse with her? Perhaps she liked to converse with her victims before killing them, though it didn't look like she had with her escort. This just stressed her out even more, and Isabeau tended to get snappy and irritable when under a lot of stress, which in the current situation that she was in. That was not a good thing. "I can only wonder as to why you would want to do such a thing." Her tone was ice. Sure she had questions. But did she really want to talk to this person? Perhaps if they had met under 'normal' circumstances and she hadn't witnessed the brutal carnage before her. "But then, I've never met a cannibal who wasn't twisted. Most cannibalistic tribes either raid others and everything is ritual and sacrificial to them. You stray a tad from the norm, but still." She cast a wary glance around the small clearing in the forest. There wasn't much room for escape, running uphill would slow her down, and she had no hope of running down hill---she'd have to push past the blood-stained girl. "Though Cannibals tend to suffer from diseases that are not normally caught by others who don't eat human flesh." While the pair conversed, Mhera shrieked her displeasure at the sudden on set of being attacked by the flora Phoenix. She wisened up though and started to dodge the seeds, winging down, claws outstretched to try and wreck havoc on the FLora Phoenix, trying to lob snow and Ice back at her. Her attacks worked better up close and personal rather than being able to do long distance attacks, and the Phoenix, dove at her, shrieking her displeasure. |

It was true, the girl was NOT making a good impression with Blair. Even keeping her hand on the blade, oh dear this may not be fun. Blair even growled deeply at her opinion on why she made her kill. But she snorted as the other began to give her reasons to talk. "Why?....Well judging by your appearance, you've never lived in poverty. Being forced to steal to stay alive. Being so hungry you will eat dropped crumbs and fruit leaves when nothing else comes your way. Well, imagine that, plus having a sibling and a friend who work hard to make sure you stay alive on even just that. Imagine the guilt seeing such souls you love go hungry by feeding you what they have." She paused, staring fire into the girl's eyes with her own. "Then just think, in a moment of panic and desperation when a cruel soul attacks one of these loved ones and you jump to his aide to protect him with your life. And when you succeed, you realize you have a body of meat sitting right before you. Meat that you are comfortable eating so as not to take food away from your loved ones. Imagine that. Then you may have an inkling as to why. And again, I need a reason before I do it, you may see it as harsh, I see it as weeding out cruelty" When the girl spoke of sickness and disease, Blair actually laughed "You think I am not aware of this? Please do not judge me as a fool! I have read every medical text I am get my hands on. Just because I grew up wild and less posh than you does not mean I am stupid. I am well aware of the risks and take what cautions I can. However now I don't need to worry as much, having bonded and all, but that is another matter" Aiyana damn near hissed when her targets missed but was quick enough to get out of the way herself when charged. She knew she had to keep distance between herself and her opponent. The icy chills did reach her a bit and she spun as she flew to shake them off. Then she dove closer to the tree line to lure the ice phoenix within the plant life. Already vines were creeping and stretching with Aiyana's will.... |

Isabeau listened, her silver eyes watching the other. No, She didn't care if she didn't impress the other, she had no need too. She just wanted to get out, but she kept her cool. Panic would do her no good here. Her eyes narrowed. While, yes. She had lived in wealth, of not needing food. But she had the concept of the poor. She knew of their struggles. She may have been rich but stupid, naive and blind was something she was not. "I am fully aware that not all have been as privileged as I have been. I am fully aware of the struggles that most struggle with, trying to feed them and their own." A stoic expression covered her face. "But that doesn't justify murder for the sake of murder. Who are you to decide who lives or dies?" She inched backwards, her eyes never leaving the other. She had to get out of this, but her hopes dampened when she said she was bonded. Oh that was great. She didn't see her dragon anywhere, but she didn't want to meet it. Or anything. There was no way she could fight a dragon. But another dragon could. "No matter your 'reasoning,' It is still murder..." She responded back, frowning at the girl. "You're so young, I just can't fathom why you would do such a thing, despite all your 'justifications'. There is no justifications for murder." Mhera was no fool. The moment the young Flora phoenix dived trying to get her closer to the vines, Mhera didn't fall for the bait. Instead she flew higher and higher, spiraling above on the thermals, heading away from the girls. She had a mission, and she would not waste it on a petty fight with a young welp of a flora. |

Green eyes rolled in Blair's head as the girl continued on her justice nonsense. Well, she did not understand and it would be a waste of energy to try and argue with her further. But that was fine, Blair had to get her meal back to camp anyhow. But still, simply trotting away from this girl to go crying to authorities was not really an option. Though Blair still did not feel like killing her. She rather liked letting people live with fear of her in their hearts. Blair stalked up to Isabeau sniffing at her before snorting and chuckling. "Well, there is not point in me reasoning with you as you have your mind made up. You and I are both young. But you have had a far different life than I. And so we will grow up far differently no doubt. Well, if you DO grow up that is" With that, Blair suddenly pinned the other girl against a tree with her surprising strength giving little option of escape just yet. "I could kill you now, it would be easy. But I'd rather not you see. Perhaps I will let you go just so long as I do not have to deal with any do-right idiots strutting through here to harass my family. Besides, my dragon would likely kill them all so it would be best for everyone if that did NOT happen" She said with clear indication of her threat. One of her hands even pressed against Isabeau's neck just to show the ease of ending her life was for Blair. But when she could feel the choking twitches, Blair pulled her hand away to resume holding her tight against the tree. "Anyway, my point is, just forget what you saw and be on your way as if nothing happened and we will all go on happily. Because I sadly will have to hunt you down and kill you if you go squealing like a pig. But I am rather merciful, so you have the option of course!" Above, Aiyana screeched her annoyance but zoomed up towards the Ice Phoenix. She made a quick attack to knock her down but flew back instantly to avoid a blast of ice that may come. She had to get her back down to the canopy and slow her down. Aiyana was fast luckily so she was determined to keep the other in the area or get Blair the hell out. |

Isabeau would like to say that she knew what she would do in these types of situations. Having read and heard about so many dangerous situations, she had tried to prepare herself to what she would actually do. She had signed up to be a dragon-rider, it was only fitting that she may come across these situations. But, in reality, the noble was fooling herself. Having never been in such a situation, she couldn't account for what she was supposed to do. Was she supposed to listen/ Or fight? Instincts battled with her. Fight, flee. She tried to keep herself calm; panicking would do her no good. She twitched the air supply cut off and she struggled, hating at how weak she suddenly found herself in. When she released her, Isabeau gulped in air like it was a precious commodity. But Isabeau couldn't just let this woman get away with having murdered someone. But she also didn't want to get on the bad side and live in fear of this woman hunting her down. If she did, she would have to be extra careful when she left the academy--for surely she wouldn't be that deft to come and kill her there right? She fidgeted again, managing to at least school her features into something hard and harsh to hide her rising fear. What was taking the ice phoenix so long. Surely she had managed to evade the Flora by now. "I. I really. Can't seem to understand why you would still kill a person." Isabeau coughed out, her hands clenching at her sides. It infuriated her. Life was a precious thing, something to be held sacred. She knew that everyone died eventually, but not like. not like this. She just wanted out and to be gone, and if she really wanted her gone why didn't she let her go already? Her fear was suddenly overtaken with anger and before she knew what she had done, she had thrown a properly placed punch at the girls face. Adrenaline fueled this punch, and Isa hoped it was enough to get her out. The Ice Phoenix wasn't taking the bait. She dodged and took hits, but, luck be on the thermals side only went higher, than lower. All the Ice Phoenix needed to do was circle around the clearing the dragon pair escort and they would come and find isa. They would, also most likely make haste if they saw a flora phoenix trying to keep her back. She was almost on the clearing where the massive fire rested, so it wouldn't take long for them to notice....especially with the cry of distress Mhera let loose from her beak. |

Blair watched as she let the girl go and she gasped for air. Blair wore an expressionless look and she waited for the girl's reaction. She actually sighed when the girl just repeated herself. "I just explained to you. But I do not expect you to ever understand unless you were in my shoes" Blair said simply. She she ended her statement, she could smell the building sweat and emotion as well as see the girl's fist begin to clench. Once again Blair sighed in annoyance. She knew what was coming. And indeed when the girl tries to throw a punch, Blair swiftly reached up and caught her fist with an iron firm grip of her own. Her other hand restrained the girl further and she stared at the girl in her grasp with a look of sheer disappointment. Blair tisked and shook her head almost like a saddened mother. But her eyes held both disappointment as well as anger. "Ooohh....Honey, that was a stupid, stupid thing you just did." She said before suddenly hoisting Isabeau up and flinging her through the air to slam hard into a tree. As the girl tried to get up, Blair hissed out "Are you truly so foolish you assume so little of others? You have no idea what else I am capable of or what I will do to protect those I love!" With that she flipped the girl again to stun her against the ground "I kill when given a reason. And you are indeed beginning to give me a reason!" She growled beast like just inches from her face, her eyes turning yellow. Aiyana was furious. Alright then, if she had to, she had to. The green bird zoomed to the white and with razor like talons out, tore into the body of her enemy. But she did so quickly and flew back out of range. It was not a fatal blow but it would indeed hinder the Ice phoenix. Aiyana giving out her own warning cry to Blair. below Blair did hear and her eyes darted back and forth to spot any potential threat. Perhaps she needed to grab her kill and go. But her finger nails dug into Isabeau in anger as she went into super alert mode. |

The Ice phoenix was not pleased, when the Flora finally decided to stop trying to use longe-range attacks and came at her with claws out stretched. Mhera screeched, Blasting the plant brethren with all the fury of a winters storm that the small elemental Phoenix could control before continuing onwards to her destination. If it hindered the Ice phoenix, It didn't hinder her much, but she would need medical attention afterwards. She swooped over where the fluffy air dragon lay resting in the sun. With a high distress call, she circled over head, before landing in the trees above where the air pair was resting. She panted, glad that the flora had finally giving up chasing. The air pair didn't have to say anything, the sight of the now bloodied Phoenix gave tell that their charge was now in danger and required assistance. How the hell she even managed to get permission to go about her own was beyond the air rider, but he had a job to do, and he wasn't going to skimp. With ease, Iniiki was in the saddle and the owl dragon was in the air heading towards the scholar. No words were needed, the communication between bond was enough for them to have a course of action. They didn't know what they were up against, but they could only hope it wasn't anything larger than Shi. Or that they could secure the girl before anything too disastrous happened. It didn't take them long to tower over the clearing and Shi hissed at the scene. A girl? Having killed the other escort, (iniiki didn't like him to begin with--but he didn't wish death upon the male) she seemed to have set her sights on the candidate. Oh gods. Well, he would make sure that this was the last trip she would get out here without either having bonded and graduated, or without more supervision. Hopefully she would leave at the sight, and wasn't a dragon rider. Iniiki didn't want a fight. Isabeau managed to keep silent as the other managed to heap her around like a rag doll. she inwardly cursed herself. when she hit the ground, she winced, the air being knocked from her. She hoped she hadn't broken anything because good lords that would deter her from her plans longer than she needed to be. But this was true fear. She hissed, trying to struggle against the girl, fear and anger at her. How dare she suddenly assume that she was going to go after the others that she supposedly loved. Isabeau, was at this moment in time, the most harmless thing to the tainted rider. Not that the woman couldn't raise hell herself when needed, but at this moment, she was outmatched. Though the sound of wing beats made her have a glimmer of hope. Oh good. Mhera had managed to get away from the other pesky bird and gotten help. "I don't...think you'll be killing me today....." She wheezed out, noticing at how still the other had gotten. Isabeau tried to take the chance to push the girl offer, using all her strength and limbs. She wasn't going to let the fear control her anymore. She would raise about this situation. |

Before the distant sound of wingbeats sounded or girl even spoke, Blair knew it was time to go. That was alright, she got a decent sized kill. Though she was mildly irritated of course. Damned Academy riders, she wished Toa was with her now but it could not be helped. Aiyana crooned eagerly for her bonded to let the girl go and run so Blair looked at her target one more time oddly calm. "No...Not today. But that's alright, some other time. Oh! Also before you go there's one more thing" With that, Blair seized Isabaeu's hand and quick as a snake, sank her teeth into it. Blair knew she did not have the luxury of time to tear out a chunk but she hoped she had bit hard enough to leave a scar. As she let go of the girl's hand, Blair once more hoisted her up and threw her as far as she could. The second she was airborne, Blair was off in a flash speeding away and grabbing the man's corpse on her way. Before the other was probably even upright, Blair and Aiyana were down in a deeply overgrown creek bed and tearing away as fast as possible (which was pretty fast as Blair was carrying a dead guy) She knew the path she was taking led right to where Krakatoa was and she could sense him slightly as he slowly began to awaken. She knew it would be hard for the others to follow her and it was actually unlikely that they were at this point as the girl would need medical attention. But if they did they would regret it. Aiyana calmed and so did Blair. Already she could feel the building warmth of her dragon's presence after quite a bit of running. Sure enough the huge shadow of Krakatoa's head was soon over them. "My Blair, what ever-" "It's ok love, I just made a kill so I'll need help cooking him but first I need to get back to Byrn. I need you to keep your eyes out for any approaching riders. An Air pair is nearby but I am hopeful they wont come closer. All the same we may have to move to a new spot in the near future" At this the Bulkhead sighed steam before stretching to go look for any potential threat as Blair ran back to where she left Byrn. She finally flung the dead man to the ground when she spotted him so she could run to him faster. She embraced him with a kiss now. Happy to be back "I had a good hunt my love. But we may need to move further in the jungle, I was interrupted sadly. But no worrying about it now" She cuddled up to him and laid in his lap. In a few moments once it was confirmed safe, she'd make a fire and work on her new meat supply. But until then, she would enjoy her brother. |
