It was a warm day, for winter in the woodlands. Of course, that still meant that there was snow in patches under the trees and Linnet's steady breathing came in bursts of mist from her mouth as she ran. Her staff was secured to her back where it wouldn't slip or be in the way, but in such a way that she could pull it free easily if she needed it. Her bag thumped rhythmically against her left thigh. After so long alone, it was a comforting feeling. She saw a clearing ahead and smiled. The ground here was level, the roots mostly underground. She picked her path and just ran, a pure, clean feeling that she didn't get often.

Only when her feet hit the deeper snow of an area open to the sky did Linnet open her eyes. What she saw made her stumble and fall. On her hands and knees, elbow deep in the snow, Linnet stared at the biggest open space she had ever seen. Her breath hiked in her chest. For some reason, she couldn't catch her breath again, couldn't drag enough knife-cold air to struggle to her feet. She shuffled backward toward the treeline a foot, two, five. Ten minutes and ten feet of gasping breaths and dizziness later, she fetched up against a tree that was wider than her shoulders. Her breathing eased, but was still far too fast. She yanked her staff from her back and struggled to her feet. The dizziness she felt from the shortness of breath was only exacerbated by her increase in altitude.

Linnet hobbled around the tree and further into the forest. Only when there was a screening of trees between her and that empty whiteness and her back to a massive old tree did her breathing ease entirely. Her dizziness vanished as she slid to the base of the tree. A leaf that had somehow clung to its branch through the autumn and winter fell to brush her face. She jumped slightly, resting her totemic staff across her knees.

"No, no," she whispered, speaking to the tree at her back. "I'm fine. I just...There was nothing there. What can I do in that sort of emptiness?"

The Silvery Gryphon had been aflight over the large boughs of the forests. Of course, he hadn't randomly come out this far from the academy on his own, it was Rare that Skysong really left Nithians side for longer than a few hours--either to get sleep in what little sun the Gryphon could find--or to go hunting among the hallways and kitchens of the academy when the food didn't satisfy the small thing. No, Skysong wasn't really alone, The dire rider followed at a slower pace behind, but that was the least of the gryphons concerns at the moment.

The Pair were out, having been sent out for patrols. Really, everything was quiet, and the two hadn't run into anything dangerous or anything that needed to be reported. That suited the pair just fine. The sooner they could get home, the better the dire rider would feel. Already, he was homesick and he worried about the ones he had left behind. But they both knew that there was a duty to be done. But work was good. It gave the pair something to do, and would make the reunion all that much more sweeter.

The Blue hued dire himself, ambled quietly throw the trees, ears perked forwards. It was rare that the dire was so silent, but occasionally a sigh would cross the sundashers lips or he would stop to sniff something. There had been a few times were the dire had gotten mischievous and tried to give Nithian a run for his money, but otherwise Tiberius was on his best behavior.

The Gryphon however, was free to do as he liked. Not that the Gryphon ever really listened to Nithian to begin with. He was a lazy orny little thing that, while he adored Nithian, didn't seem to behave half the time. Orange eyes skattered the trees as they approached the edge of the forests and the trees died down to meet the vast openness of the plains. He had drifted far from the dire rider, not that the gryphon couldn't find the two if he wanted to, but he couldn't even hear or see them before something caught his eye.

And he dove, wings pressing closely as he tried to get his claws around whatever had been moving underneath that small pile of snow. Instead, though, the little gryphon hit the snow pile and and squawked in displeasure, his little butt in the air, and the rest of him buried in the cold wetness--only a few feet away from where the panicking girl was trying to calm herself. Only a few more wriggles and trying to gain purchase on the slippery stuff did the Gryphon finally pull himself out of the pile, tumbling into the girls leg, wings and limbs flailing before laying limp in a slight daze against the girl. With his beak partially open, and panting from the sudden failure of trying to catch his prey that was now long gone.

Confused beyond belief, Linnet toyed with the wooden beads on her shirt sleeves. Why had she reacted so strongly? Yes, it was the largest clearing she had ever seen, but clearings had never frightened her before. Perhaps it was the lack of trees. Tree spirits spoke so much more clearly than grass spirits. Especially when grass was covered with snow. Tree spirits were sleepy in the winter, but they would still speak with her, if she listened long enough. Still, that didn't explain the fear.

The thought of the fire pit at home helped to calm her, so she whispered a prayer to fire spirits and let herself imagine. She had built it up in her imagination so that she could almost feel the warmth flickering on her face when an ember popped in the illusion. At the same time, she felt something flop into the snow at her feet.

Letting her eyes flicker open and the illusion fade, Linnet blinked as wings and clawed feet went limp on her leg. A gryphon? In her whole year abroad, she had never seen one in person. She had found an abandoned nest, from which she had gotten the feathers in the braids over her ears.

"Greetings, little wing friend," she said softly, offering her hand gently to the gryphon. "What are you doing here? I've seen no evidence of your kind nearby."

She tilted her head at the silvery creature in polite curiosity.

"I wonder if you would give me a feather or two. Gifted feathers are always more powerful talismans than scavenged ones. I would be honored by such a gift."

The sound of footfalls on frozen ground made Linnet look up, though her offered hand did not so much as twitch. It sounded like a wolf's gait, but the sound was too heavy for any wolf that she had ever seen, even the massive male that had honored the Circle one winter night when she was 12.

"Have you brought an ally to visit me, honored wing friend?" she asked the gryphon, using her free hand to pull a scrap of venison jerky from her belt pouch. This she also offered to her visitor. "I hope they are friendly. They sound very large. As large as a bear, perhaps, but the walk is wrong. Well, we shall just have to see what has found me today."

The silver Gryphon made a weird noise in the back of his throat, and managed to flip himself around instead of laying on his back with his silvery orange sheened belly exposed to the stranger. He didn't move too far, rather staring at her with wide blue eyes. Whether or not he actually understood what she was saying, the gryphon just kept observing her--only his ears angling in the direction that his person trudged in at carefully.

Though, the sight of food in the woman's hand interested him greatly more than the odd sounds coming from her and he fluffed his feathers and began clambering closer to the food that she offered to her. By the time he got his beak around the meat, he was practically in the girls lap. The gryphon had no sense of personal space really. He made a trilling noise as he began to eat the food.

The dire rider and his partner grew ever closer to the girl and his gryphon. They didn't expect to find anything or anyone really in the forest edges. Boughs swayed as the breeze drifted through, causing some of the snow from the trees to fall in the Sundashers wake. When they entered the clearing he blinked at the girl and the gryphon who was begging the girl for more food. Tiberius whined as he approached and Skysong chirped at the large dire wolf.

"Skysong!" Nithian chided suddenly, when he saw what the Gryphon was up too. "That's not very polite, now." He tried to call the small gryphon to him, but the gryphon was more content to ignore him and amble off to the other side of the young girl absently pawing at her pants, tail lashing back and forth.

"I'm sorry, was he disturbing you?" Nithian hopped down from the massive dire who made a sighing sound in the back of his throat. The gold of his horns and the flecks within his fur glinted in the soft sun that drifted between the trees. The blue-hued sundasher may of looked intimidating, but the dire didn't make any sort of aggressive noise or move, rather he whined and stayed where Nithian told him to. Not that he didn't want to, he would rather go and try and be friendly as the girl had not shown any sort of aggressive stance towards the gryphon or his partner. Though the dire would defend him if it came to that. Nithian glanced her over, she was young, by the looks of it, and looked to be traveling alone.

"You are not hurt are you? Are you alright?" Nithian asked stepping closer to the young girl, honestly wanting to help her should she need. "What brings you out here so far from any sort of village? Are you lost?" He smiled and rubbed at the back of his head.

"Sorry, I jump ahead of myself--I'm Nithian. The sundasher is Tiberius and the little gryphon there is Skysong." He introduced himself and his companions. Tiberius made a soft yipping sound when his name was spoken, and sat, but made no other move towards Nithian and the crew. The gryphon ignored everyone for the most part, his interest passing.

Though others might doubt the ability of a gryphon to understand everything she said, Linnet knew that they did. They simply didn't always respond in ways others understood. Food, of course, was a delightful incentive for him to get over his natural inclination to avoid her. Once he was up in her lap, she took the opportunity to stroke his chest gently. Soft, though a bit damp, from the snow.

The wolf's whine made Linnet look up and blink. That was definitely the biggest wolf she had ever seen. He was magnificent and huge. The exchange between gryphon and wolf made her smile. Only when he spoke did Linnet notice the man that was riding the wolf until he spoke, or, for that matter, the tack and materials that made him more easily rideable.

"He has not disturbed me," Linnet replied easily, smiling at the man. He was older than she, and seemed very worried about her. Why was that? She could take care of herself. She had been for quite some time now. The fall before last, as point of fact. "He is a fine young wingfriend."

Linnet was not ignorant of the Dire's active efforts to appear unaggressive. She appreciated it. More ordinary wolves could be frightening enough, much less one as massive as this. His rider was not so considerate, however. Her smile faltered as he stepped closer. His words seemed friendly enough, but his actions were aggressive. Her already stimulated system racketed up another notch. Though she tensed, Linnet was as careful as the wolf to keep her body language clear. She didn't meet the man's eyes, she turned slightly so that she was not facing straight into him and she offered the gryphon another strip of jerky.

"I'm not hurt, no, I'm fine," she assured him, her voice pitched low and soothing. "I have been traveling for quite some time. I am not lost...I just have no particular destination."

On second observation, the man reminded her of a wolf she had met once, raised by a different Circle. They tried to return it to a pack. It had acted very confused, and unsure of himself. This man had the same self-doubt in his posture. Was he normally that way, or had she put it there?

"Greetings, Nithian Wolfrider. You are a blessed soul, to have the respect of such creatures. I am Linnet Ravensilver." Apologizing quietly to Skysong, Linnet got up and bowed politely to Nithian, though she still didn't meet his eyes. Without further pause, she went next to Tiberius. She approached him at an angle, her eyes cast down. "Greetings, Tiberius Sundasher. It is my honor to meet you."

Nithian hadn't failed to notice how she reacted when he came closer. Song seemed content to eat her food on her lap, occasionally trying to nip at her fingers when she petted him. Nithian took a step back, realizing that his actions were distressing her already. He hadn't meant that. He just wanted to help. Really. He never, never intended harm or to scare someone else. He shifted again, smiling warmly before deciding that perhaps standing still would be a better option.

"Thank you," He replied, watching as she finally moved to get up. The gryphon was slightly disgruntled but none too soon had he wrapped himself against Nithians neck, sending shivers down the males spine from the cold of his outer fur. But he made no move to brush the Gryphon off as the girl moved to meet the sundasher. Nithian wondered if she had ever met something as big as Tib, by her initial reactions, the dire-rider was going to take a guess that that was a no.

Nithian was unsure of what to say when she replied that she was not lost, but had no particular destination. But He bowed politely back, and watched as she also, greeted the large Sundasher.

He wriggled even harder, his tails waggling furiously in the still snow covered grass. He yipped and whined, and wanted to nuzzle her. But the handler had told him to be polite and to stay still--as much as the sundasher could stay still.

"He really wishes to show you affection." Nithian suddenly piped up as he watched the two interact. "He is, when he feels comfortable and safe, an affection teddy bear." He petted the gryphon who started to groom himself on his shoulders. "He won't harm you, and knows to be gentle." He slightly stressed this word more towards the dire who shook his entire body as if to say "I know, I know, please let me greet this one properly." "But only if you wish it." He amended, not going to let the dire do anything out of line. He was a proper dire-handler no, there was no area for mistakes.

He didn't make any more movement towards the pair, but he kept his eye on the two. Sure, the sundasher was friendly and nice, but there were always stories and that fear that something might trigger the dire to react faster than Nithian could respond. Thankfully, he had yet to come across such a situation but He was always prepared just in case. But there seemed to be no apparent danger here just yet. At least, from this one.

"But, Uh, we're just patrolling the area around here, and uhh. If there is anything I or We can do for you, I am more than willing to help you." He smiled again, shifting again. No, she had not put the nervous self-doubt in the handler, it had always been there. At least, there wasn't any dragons around to make it worse. He would really freeze up.

Linnet gave Nithian a small smile in reply to his own. She hated to think she made him nervous. She was a friendly girl, despite her recent isolation. Still, she recognized his stillness (relatively) as an attempt to reassure her. A brief surge of jealousy flared when Skysong went to Nithian's neck, but it was quickly squashed. It was not to her to want for something that belonged to another. But to be a friend of a gryphon! What a gift.

To Tiberius' reaction, Linnet had only a wry smile.

"I would be honored by any affection you might want to share, Tiberius Sundasher," she told the Dire, then glanced over at Nithian. "Should he injure me, I would bear such scars with pride. Still, I trust your word that he would not."

When the Direrider offered help, the young Druid hesitated and glanced back at the vast open space, barely screened by a line of trees. Would he understand? Or would he hand his wolf-friend think her reaction was a weakness? Wolves rarely reacted well to perceived weakness.

"I don't know of any help you could give," she replied, half truthfully. "I am looking for Druids to rebuild my Circle. Are you a Druid, Nithian Wolfrider?"

When Linnit agreed to let the Sun dasher greet her, did Nithian relax slightly. He was almost afraid Tiberius was going to start pushing him again, to see how far he could toe the line. But with this, he didn't have to worry. He fidgeted again, as the wind picked up a bit. There was a nip in the air, and he was thankful that he was warmly dressed. With Alwin as a Tailor, he was never in need of clothes and patchwork was easy. He felt bad, because already his favorite coat had a few holes in it from the trip and he would hate to ask Alwin to fix it. He knew the tailor would be more than happy, but Nithian felt bad because he allowed it to get damage...granted it hadn't really been his fault but still. He felt bad. It had been a gift.

"Alright, you behave yourself Tiberius. But you may greet her." He told the dire. Skysong Chirped again, eying the two, before deciding that he had gotten the better deal of food, and that there would be nothing of benefit for him and snuggled closer to his bonded for warmth.

Tiberius whined and yipped, his whole body shaking with excitement. Without much effort, he pressed his entire muzzle against the young girls chest, whining, as he crouched down, laying more or less on his stomach as he nuzzled her happily. Pet me, pet me he seemed to say. He huffed, and nuzzled her more, careful though not to knock her off balance.

Nithian watched the scene with a smile on his face, though he was ready to call the dire back if it came to that. But he wasn't trying to do anything but love on the girl; he loved on anyone who would give it to him. After he was sure they weren't a threat, as Nithian had just proved that she wasn't at the moment. The large dire really did just want to love everyone and love on everyone. It was hard for Nithian to see anyone hating the wolf. But, he supposed, someone out there could. He shook his head, absentmindedly scratching Skysong, who trilled contentedly. His hunt had been rewarded successfully, even if it hadn't been the expected outcome.

He frowned, though. Druids....? "I am going to go on a hinge and say I am not a druid, as I really don't know much about them. Though I am all for learning." He shrugged, not that he would be a druid, Nithian's home was not in the forests that Surrounded them, as much as he knew how to navigate and live in tangent with the forest, but he was definitely not a druid. He was a dire rider, and academy soldier.

"If there is anything else we can help you with, however. Escort to wherever you may be wanting to go, information, I would probably be more of use then." Honestly, he would feel better escorting her to a village or something, but as she had no set destination, he could only wait and see what he could do.

Linnet laughed as Tiberius thrust his muzzle into her, and wrapped her arms around his face in an impulsive hug. After a moment she let him go and scratched his ears. Merlain's little dog had always liked that, perhaps this big lad would, too. The thought of Merlain sent a flash of sadness through her. The old Singer of Secrets had been father to her, and he had died in front of her. She had buried him, and all her family.

With a deep breath that brought the musky sent of the giant wolf to her lungs, she let the sadness go again. She mourned her family still, and their ghosts had followed her to this far away place. Perhaps if she found a Druid to restart the Circle with, they would go back to their graves and rest. Perhaps they were angry with her because she had abandoned their resting places. Perhaps they were just lonely. She sighed, but turned to smile at Nithian, one hand still scratching at Tiberius' chin.

"I have found many who do not know of us," she reassured him. "Though we have lived in these great woods for many generations. I know of at least three Circles that lived near my own."

And they had all refused to help her rebuild. Her face twitched in something akin to anger, but that, too, she let to fall away. It was not the fault of the other Circles that fewer were drawn to the way of the Druid than ever before. The three Circles she had visited had barely enough members to perform important ceremonies, and could not spare any. She understood that, even if she didn't like it. They had invited her to join their Circles, but she was intent on rebuilding the Silver Ravens.

"Druids are those who can hear the spirits of land and creature," she explained. While continuing to pet and scratch the Dire, she laid her other hand on the nearby tree. "All things have a spirit that might speak to you, if you know how to listen. Some speak more clearly than others. We honor those spirits, and we seek peace and balance with nature. That is the simplest explanation of what we are."

At his renewed offer to take her somewhere, Linnet paused again. While it was true she had no destination, there were things that she needed that she could not produce easily herself. A stop at a village would be useful and perhaps she would find Druids there. And maybe Tiberius honor her with a ride, as he honored Nithian.

"To be true, I could do with a stop in a village," she admitted, smiling between the lads. "But I've no notion of where the nearest is. Perhaps you could give directions, or...?"

She thought it was surely rude to ask to ride the great wolf, so her voice petered off, leaving the option open for him to ignore.

((Linnet says: We are the Lorax, we speak for the trees. XD))

It was only polite of him to listen as she explained what she meant. Confusion turned to understanding, they followed and worshiped nature. The small gryphon made a mewling sound, as he shifted on Nithians shoulder, green eyes turning to look at the girl as she hugged the large dire. In truth, Nithian probably had met a few druids in his lifetime-but not that he would actually remember.

"Ah. It sounds like a peaceful life." He admitted. His life, for the most part was peaceful, but he didn't see himself as a druid. No. Not with the responsibilities of being a dire rider and life at the academy. Besides, Al would probably go crazy with the lifestyle as well. He snorted at the image of Alwin being a 'druid' It just... It didn't click in his mind. His life was happy and full of laughter as it was now, there was no need to change. He didn't want to change it for the world.

Tiberius easily fell in love with the girl, especially when she hugged his great muzzle. He held still when she did, but nuzzled her again when she pulled back, yipping softly as she started to scratch his his ears. He tilted his head towards her hand, pressing as close as he could to the small woman as the 8 foot tall dire could. Nithian could only chuckle at his dire's antics.

Finally, she got around to answering his question. A village. He frowned. The last village he had seen was at least several days back the way he had come and he wasn't due back that way in while. Moving to his dire, he dug around in the saddle pockets, effortlessly finding his map that guided him. Al wouldn't be pleased if he just went without a map--and it had the route he was to take marked out. Some dire riders could remember their routes easily--but they had been at them years and years, while Nithian was a greenling.

Unfurling the map, Nithian found where he was and started peering over the landmarks. It didn't take him long to find what he was looking for. The next village, slightly larger than the one he had passed. It was a day or so travel away, but That didn't bother Nithian. Hopefully it wouldn't bother the girl either.

"There is another village I'm heading for, a day or so travel from here." He began, tapping on the map with his index finger as he thought for a moment. He didn't do well with giving directions, and he would feel horrible if he just left her. There was something at the end of her sentence that made him smile. He could hear the unasked question--or you could give me a ride. NIthian would sleep easier to help her to another village, who knew what untold dangers lurked in the jungle. At least with Tiberius he was marginally safer than if he was without the large dire.

"I would be happy to give you a ride. Tiberius wouldn't mind it either, he seems to have taken a liking to you."

In response, as if the large dire knew what Nithian was talking about, wagged both tails as hard as he could, making more sounds to match what his rider was say and shifting again, trying to be good and not start licking the young girl in eagerness.

Some of the people that Linnet had met in the woods (not that she had met many in her time away from Raven Circle) had not been so polite as this young man as she explained herself. Some had even been cruel, laughing rudely and calling her 'treehugger.' Though she understood that they had meant it as an insult, it still confused her why anyone would be upset to be accused of hugging trees. Trees got upset sometimes, too, after all.

It was easy to tell that Tiberius liked her. That delighted Linnet to no end. It was an honor just to meet so grand a creature, much less to have his approval. She had not expected him, upon first seeing the Dire, that he would be so transparent. The wolves she was used to were far more cautious than this eager-to-please lad.

Nithian's frown was unexpected. If he did not want her to answer, then he should not have asked the question. Then he pulled out what Linnet assumed was a map. Perhaps he was just thoughtful, then. She had never learned to read maps, so made no move to veiw the paper.

Linnet's whole face lit up when Nithian offered a ride. Tiberius was also clearly pleased with the suggestion, so much so that the young Druid couldn't help but laugh.

"He looks like he wants to lick my face," she giggled, eyeing the Dire's large mouth. Her smile flickered, but she brought it back. "Singer Merlain's little puppy used to do that. I think your tongue might be bigger than my whole face, though, Tiberius. I do appreciate your restraint."

When she had her giggles under control, she bowed to Tiberius and to Nithian again.

"It would be my honor to ride with you both, my pleasure to bear you company to a village. Thank you for extending this honor to me."

Her laughter was infectious, and he couldn't help but chuckling along with. Folding the map back up, he put it carefully back into the saddlebag from whence it came. Tiberius did indeed look like he wanted to lick her face, the excitement broiling from his side of the bond set Nithian better at ease. Tightening his coat around him better.

"Tiberius does love to show his affection in every way possible." Nithian replied, as Tiberius just seemed to vibrate with enthusiasm. "Tiberius, Stay still." he told the dire. The large sundasher tried to do as he was bid, but the dire whined, pathetically. He didn't want to sit still, he wanted to play with his new friend. But Nithian was firm with the dire, and when Tiberius was a still as he could be, Nithian put a hand on his shoulder, feeling the soft fur. Even out on the trip, Nithian brushed Tiberius's fur once a night. The occasional small bath in a stream but mostly that was impromptu from the dire who decided that water would be nice.

He held his hand out to the young druid. "Here let me help you up." He offered. His saddle was large enough to be able to hold two people, especially after some of the rearranging of his saddle bags. He intended to strap her in than himself. He would rather himself be thrown from the dire if anything were to happen, and not her. He would do it with anyone who rode with him. Tiberius stood still, only his tails wagging back and forth as he knew what was coming.

The small Gryphon coiled around the male's shoulder merely watched, disinterested in everything again. Though, when Nithian started moving, disrupting his spot, the gryphon flared his wings, before taking to the sky, claws gripping into his shoulder as he launched into the air. Nithian didn't seem to mind the claws, and after she was settled, did he climb up and settle in behind her.

"Are you comfortable?" Surely this was going to be a new experience for the young girl. It had been for him during Dire training and though they were informative, he was thankful that he no longer had to go to lessons. "Alright then, Start Slow Tib." He motioned to the dire to start moving, and he did. One foot in front of the other, the wolf took a careful gait through the jungle. A change came of the dire. With the two on his back, settled, and back on the 'job,' the massive wolf became more serious, ears and eyes attentive to everything around them.

The massive dire wouldn't want anything to happen to his handler or new found friend.

"He is a well behaved gentleman, and compliant," Linnet replied to the Direrider. "Few wolves I have known listen so well, even to we who can hear their voices and speak to them. But then, I have never seen a wolf such as this one!"

Linnet took the politely offered hand and climbed easily into the saddle. She giggled when the little gryphon took to the sky, obviously annoyed that his perch had been disrupted. The straps made the young Druid somewhat nervous, but if Tiberius moved the way other wolves did, she may well need them, so she made no objection.

"It is unusual, but fine," she agreed, smiling. "It is delightful to be so tall. Everything seems so different!"

She started slightly as Tiberius' muscles shifted under her (she had never riden an animal before and the experience was entirely novel), but then clapped delightedly.

"This is wonderous!"

Nithian mused. Dires weren't really like other wolves. They were bred specifically to be companions to those who bonded to them. There were many differences between Dire wolves and the wild ones.

"Dire wolves, such as Tib are different than the wild ones. They are bred specifically to be companions. Though they choose the handler that they wish to be with. They are pack animals and will defend other handlers if the need arises-so it is unwise to threaten any handler around a pack. Tiberius has a softer personality than some of the others I have met. We then work on socialization and other skills they need. Tiberius is also a Sundasher. There are three different types of Dires. Moonrunners are the smallest and the fastest. Duskstriders are the next largest and more adaptable to any situation, while sun dashers are the largest and the heavy hitters or tanks of the group. Each also have different needs as well, but then, I am rambling."

He felt like he owed the young druid an explanation. "Though, I am sure there are wild dire wolf packs out there--they would just be more akin to the wolves you are probably used too."

On silent wings, the gryphon flew above them as they set back on their route. it was interesting having another companion ride with him, he had not ridden tiberius with anyone else, nor had he expected it. but he made do. He trusted the dire well enough to keep him from falling off and he was large enough to hold them both.

"It was different the first time for myself as I. I have never ridden anything other than a horse...or a dragon. I did that once." He shook his head, squishing the fear that even mentioning the lizard kin brought up. While he had come so far in learning to control himself and working with them, he would still ever be afraid of them.

"I am glad you enjoy it thus far though."

Tiberius yipped his approval, shaking his head with mirth, but he didn't let his attention wander from his path. They couldn't afford to be too distracted by their new companion.
