Character Number- 1st Charry, woo!

The Rider
Theme

oO[Donn Sidhe]Oo

Name- Donn Sidhe (Pronoucned Da-uun Shee)

Age- 21

Gender- Male

Sexuality- He really isn’t interested in anyone. At anything, if his dragon begins to romance another dragon, he’d try to become friends with her chosen lover’s rider… that is, if there is any. But he would be interested in someone after a close friendship was made, but getting feelings out for him is a bit... troublesome.

Appearance-
He is quite tall, 6’5”. He’s basically a giant, and gloats about it often. Though he might be confused for a fighter, he’s far from it; as he has little or no combat skills at all. He isn't muscled, nor athletic, but is attractive, none of the less. His hair is a deep brown, and is quite curly. He usually cuts it short, as it gets even more curly that way. His features are quite, well, good looking. His skin is a caramel in tone.

He has good hearing, not as great as some other, more healthier men or women, but decent enough. He does, however, have poor eyesight, and requires glasses to see. His eyes are a deep brown, and he has a small facial scar on his lip, from a little adventure he had with his dragon when he was younger. His build is willowy, but he moves with the grace of a penguin on dry land. He's also quite clumsy, possibly due to his height and the fact that he carries around a large bag of supplies almost everywhere. That can have a bit of an impact on your movement. He also has a bit of a strength, allowing him to lift heavy objects with some ease, however small. It does make him useful for a sort of luggage monkey, carrying around other people's things, which annoys him.

He often wears casual, practical clothing that allow a wide range of movement and don't get n the way, disliking the use of robes entirely. His crystal, the same bright red, an oval in shape, and small enough to be made into a ring, which he had done. He wears it at all times, it in a band of silver, of which he commissioned himself for a smith to make. However it isn't that beautiful. Which is something he finds frivolous and useless in the long run. It was made to last, not to be beautiful. And it has done that task well.

Personality- (Creative, Opinionated, Curious)

He is quite creative, and makes extremely complex and somewhat successful plans. However, these often are cast out on Sirona’s part. She is his foil, but he still loves her regardless. But he has also been known to be able to create several tonics, which are basically useless due to his dragon’s ability. Yet, this is usually not used, as for the healing’s somewhat… hallucinogenic side effects.

He is quite opinionated, even over the smallest of things. He makes platitudes often, and is quite philosophical in a way… even if some of the things he thinks is right aren’t. He also tries to give advice and help others whenever possible. But he also dislikes when people don’t listen to him, and gets a bit depressed when they don’t listen or forget his advice, even if it was bad. This often leads him to feeling like he’s not making the right choice, which leads him to become quite shy and ashamed when it isn’t.

He is quite curious of his surroundings and other people, alike to Sirona in this way. He doesn’t, however, pry into other people’s past unless it is due some attention. He’s quite polite in that way, very much unlike his dragon, who he scolds when needed.

Rank- Scholar.

History-

Donn was born 21 years ago to a small family in Main Lihn. His family, however poor, were quite proud, patriotic even for the Sekkian people. He was exposed to propaganda and superstition. Not like he actually allowed that to stay with him for the rest of his life… which he totally didn’t. It was his father that was the main patriot in the family; his mother didn’t care nor listen to his rants about the government being the ‘best government’ and didn’t allow his thoughts taint the mind of Donn. Not very surprisingly, it was clear to Donn, and the rest of his family that his parent’s relationship was nearing an end when Donn hit the age of 10. After a year of fights and exchanged blows, they were divorced, him going with his mother.

Apparently his father became a heavy drinker and offed himself a year after that. Donn thought that if a parent died, you were supposed to get upset… but that wasn’t the case, not at all in this case. Instead, he didn’t care. What had his father given him; nothing, nothing other than a very complex and depressing childhood. His mother’s life became increasingly better after this, and they actually began to make more money, without his father spending all the extra money on alcohol and tobacco.

Donn spent the next two years studying, reading, writing, basically doing anything literary that he could possibly get his hands on. At the age of 13, his mother put him up as a volunteer for the Candidates. It wasn't like he didn't like the idea of being forced into a group of Dragon Riders... it was just scary. He WAS thirteen. It was a daunting thing for him. But, eventually, he got used to the fact that he was possibly able to become a Rider. Something he had been reading about for years.

When he got to the academy, he was greeted by the sheer beauty of the place. He, who had only lived in a city for most of his life, knew little or nothing about plains, grass, or trees. The ones in the city weren't as vibrant as the ones here, Forest Dragons tending to them all. He was surprised how BIG some dragons were. Some were the size of buildings, and some smaller than that.

At first. the rigorous exercises and training sessions were difficult for the young human. But, as time went on, he slowly became more and more used to it. He clearly wasn't made for fighting, despite how much his tutors asked him to at least try and lift a blade - he refused, albeit politely. He said that fighting for him would be like trying to teach a fly to speak: Impossible. Sure, he DID make up that saying in that one moment, and he could have probably done better if he got enough time to do so... but alas, the tutor grudgingly accepted this.

He, however, had to continue to train with navigation, socialization, and at the age of 16, the blessed day had come. During high noon, he was met with the dragon's song. He had never heard something like it before. It was deep, like a hum. But it was clearly dragonic. He then followed his tutor, along with several other candidates to the hatching cavern. The hum was far louder in here than anything else, the dragons seemingly flowing into the area. He didn't know what was happening, but as they stepped into the sand, he saw Kazuko. The Celestial matron looked down at the candidates, as if studying them for a moment. Almost all at once, they bowed, a few candidates didn't bow - Donn wasn't among them.

Then she began to bestow them the gems. Several were skipped or simply ignored by Kazuko. Web he was handed his gem, a small, almost insignificantly sized one compared to the other's gems, he raised an eyebrow. It couldn't be a trick, right? It really couldn't.

He questioned himself within a few moments for thinking such a thing. The room became silent besides the dragons and their song as the eggs began to stir. One at a time, spider-web like cracks formed on the shells of the eggs, appendages of dragons sticking out as they crawled from the shattered shell, shaking off as much of the fluid from the eggs off as they met the light of this world they were just born into. Some, seemingly scared, tried to hide behind the others, a few running about the candidates until they found their destined rider.

A small rosemary hatchling made her way towards Donn, her small, obsidian black claws digging into the fabric of his pants as if to try and climb up. "Where am I? Why are you so big? My name is Sirona, and I'm huuuungry... Where's the food? Tell me!" Those were the first things she said to him, a wave of energy going up his spine. It felt as if something had been unlocked, something filled in that empty, desolate place.

And that feeling was wonderful. However, within a year or so of the hatching, Sirona got it nto her jead through a trouble maker that if she ate snails her healing prowess would get stronger. The thing was that the dragon never said /what/ type of snail. So she ate the most, well, powerful snail she could find. The snail was brightly colored, and looked very special to her. So she ate it. A few hours later and Donn found her trembling in the corner, her eyes wide, mumbling "No, no, get away, meany!" After comforting her, trying to calm her down, which isn't an easy thing when a hallucinating hatchling is trembling. He asked her the next day what happened. She simply said it was something she ate. It wasn't the full truth, but it was enough at the time.

As time went on, she continued to purposefully hunt snails, trying to find the largest of which as she got larger. She quickly built up an immunity to the toxin, but, she also got a... Slight side affect from the consumption of the snails. If she licked humans, hatchlings, or hybrids, they would hallucinate. It didn't effect the mature dragons, however. Yet this hampered her healing ability, having to ask them if they wanted to be healed ever after an incident with an injured human, whom hallucinated for days.

Donn had difficulty keeping Sirona from causing chaos, keading to him getting annoyed often with the young dragon, but they got along quite well, even if they had opposing personal traits.

Pet(s)- N/A, really doesn’t like pets that much. He already has enough trouble with trying to keep Sirona from drugging the human population x.x

Name- Sirona

Age- 5

Gender- Female

Element- Rosemary

Appearance- Well, she’d be considered small-ish for a rosemary dragon, around 16'11” feet long with a shoulder that’s 5’1”. Her wingspan is around 35 feet long. Her pigment is a heliotrope purple and her underbelly is a lighter shade of heliotrope purple. She could be considered cute-looking by dragons, her frame willowy and graceful. Her physique could be described as scrawny, not as strong as most other dragons, even a runt by some of the bigger, more self-centered dragons. She didn’t care for this, as she made it up in speed and maneuverability.

Her tongue is a slight bit longer than other Rosemaries… I mean only a tad. A few centimeters at the most. She does have a sort of graceful movement when she walks, flies, swims… basically everything. She’s like friggin dragon eye-candy. Her tail is long and slender, and she uses it as a whip when needed. At the end of this tail is a pluff of plumage that is comparable in texture to kiwi feathers. It grows quite long and seems to be groomed often.

She has a crest of feathers on her head, and along her body, specifically her tail, neck, head, and back. They could be comparable to the feathers on a kiwi-bird and are a midnight black in hue. Her claws are sharp and somewhat curved, perfect for climbing, grabbing, and fighting. They are a pitch black, and are quite shiny as she likes to take care of herself :^)

Oh yes, there’s the issue with her saliva… She can lick people and heal them fine; she’s even good at it. But her saliva carries a toxin from large, man sized snails she eats almost daily. This toxin isn’t poisonous or dangerous at all; it simply causes hallucinations to those who are licked by her. It doesn’t affect adult dragons that much, but hatchlings and smaller dragons are susceptible to the hallucinogenic saliva. Hybrids are somewhat affected by it, only small illusions, like a cake that’s actually a pie… stuff like that. Humans, however, are so affected by it, they hallucinate for days on end.

Her crystal formed on her as a sort of 'third eye' on her forehead. A bright red in color, and a smaller than her eyes, it is an oval in shape, and would be considered large enough to be put on a ring if it was removed, which is very... impossible needless to say.

Personality- (Curious, Outgoing, Optimistic : Naïve, Vain, Oblivious)

She is very much alike to Donn in this personality trait. She wouldn’t be considered diabolical, or even evil for that matter. She is, however, somewhat chaotic. And this chaos she causes comes from her unquenchable curiosity about everything. And I mean everything. Her curiosity knows no bounds, which can be a really bad thing, as she’d ask the most personal things you can ask a person, from what they had for breakfast to what noises they were making with the man/woman in their room…

She is the foil to her rider Donn in this aspect of her personality. That being that she’s quite outgoing. Extremely outgoing, verging on dragging him outside when he wants to stay inside and read. She says it’s for the best, but sometimes, it just gets them into trouble. He would like to plan ahead of time, but more than often, she drags him away from work out of the blue so that they can go find human-sized snails in the forest for her to munch on.

She is quite the opposite of Donn in this regard as well, always finding the good in everything, the bright side of life. I mean so much so it actually gets annoying. But she can be snapped out of this as soon as someone calls her a lizard. Mostly Donn, when he gets annoyed of her. Who wouldn’t be annoyed of a dragon that is constantly optimistic?

She’s incredibly naïve and oblivious, and would believe almost anything that someone would tell her. Incredibly quick to trust and slow to anger, she is one of those that’d unwittingly help a criminal out of the city without knowing that they were just that; a criminal. A dragon at a young age told her that snails made your healing powers become more powerful if you ate them constantly. She hasn’t stopped eating them since.

She’s quite vain. I mean, not enough to be afraid of getting dirty; she actually likes getting dirty, because then she can clean herself and bathe. She really likes water. I mean, so much so, she’ll purposefully fly out with her rider so that they have to go and dive into water, of which he severely dislikes. She’ll clean and groom herself for hours until she was ‘clean’. She also is a bit of a OCD freak. She really hates it when her plumage is even a little bit messed up.

Yourself- I'm a all-around nerd really. I've played D&D, Magic: The Gathering, many, many, MANY MMORPGs and won tons of games. Though I'm also a lover of something magical and realistic called "Life". I love books, and consume most of my time reading one, let it be digital or material, I'll blast though it like Hon Solo blasted Greedo. Also Hon shot first.
