It sounded according to the diiscussion like there are free tickets available to be in the studio during the filming. It would be great if there will be something new available! :waytogo: It was surmised that this will be a one hour show, as that has been the past practice for the BBC4 Sessions.

Maybe this is what Guy has been alluding to?

Hi Linda! Yes, I think this is what Guy was hinting at on his forum.

I have applied for the BBC4 show and now I must keep my fingers firmly crossed that I am successful! :)

As long as it's not broadcast live! I'm off to Istanbul for a few days on 22nd to indulge one of my other hobbies.
:what: . . . .Plane spotting (and photographing) :dielol:

If I'd used a bit of foresight I could have arranged to have been there
on 26th April instead & gone to the gig !

I hope you get the tickets Val.

This is typical, ever since the A Night In London show, I have been waiting for a show like this again, and I would have applied, but on 22nd May I am going to Ottawa to see my daughter. I hope you get to go Val. I hope this is similar to the ANIL show, maybe a few guests? Mark has a lot more solo songs now than he did for that show, when he only had songs from the Golden Heart album. It must be what Guy has been hinting at, even more so, as he has said the RAH show's are not being filmed.

Maybe they wil have a USB stick for this one ... more than likely after the tour is over, but wouldn't that be great?!

The video of the Prince's Trust did not come out until more than a year later I think that PC has a timing strategy with all this ... sort of, when there are down times, when Mark is writing and not on tour, out comes a video or program that keep the fans' interest. Great tactic! (IMHO)

Congratulations to Martin Chittock who got a couple of tickets for the Gig!

Meanwhile, I'm all packed and ready to leave tomorrow! But, I guess I'll have to wait a few more days for when my flight leaves! <_<

Cloudy, showery, warm and humid weather expected next week in Ottawa. Have a great time in Canada with your daughter, QJF and enjoy your vist to my country as much as I will enjoy mine in yours' :)
Regards,

Darryl

I see in this morning's diary, Guy mentions that either later today or in tomorrow's diary, he will be posting more details about the BBC4 program. It sounds like it might be a Jools Holland special. It will be interesting to see what it will end up as. :P

I'll be interested to see the set list from the show. Is it airing today (the 23rd) or is it taped?
Btw Linda..it is a Jools Holland show...this was in Guy's diary entry today:
"Soundcheck comprised of a few songs which we are planning on running at the Jools Holland 'special' tomorrow (23rd). " Hmmm..maybe some new additions?

Hi, Hops. Yes, I could see it was with Jools Holland. I had also noticed some discussion on AMIT as to whether it was a regular BBC4 "Sessions" program or a special. I thought from what Guy said that it will probably be a special. If I understood correctly from previous discussions, the "Sessions" programs are only an hour long. If it is a special, that might mean it will last longer than one hour. There was also some discussion on AMIT as to when it might be broadcast, and the concensus was later, as opposed to live. I know someone checked out the schedule but couldn't see anything that looked to be it right away.

I just noticed Guy had posted a diary page for the recording of the show. Unfortunately, he didn't give any indication at to whether Jools was there, content (even though Hops posted the set list), or when the program is to be aired. He does have nice pictures, though. Maybe he couldn't discuss it yet since it hasn't been shown. Oh, the mystery of it all! <_< :P

I have a funny feeling this will just be a TV Jools special, to only be broadcast on TV, and no DVD/Blu-Ray. It doesn't seem a big deal like A Night In London was, with lots of guests and a full show(even if they did cut Sultans of Swing :finger: ) I hope they do film at least one show though, it seems like Guy is up for it, but as always it's up to Mark.

Someone was asking Guy this morning when the new BBC program Mark did some filming for was to be aired. Unfortunately, Guy's answer, without any explanation as to why, was that he didn't think it would be shown at all. That is too bad, as I, amongst others, were looking forward to some new footage. :(

I thought someone else might have picked up on this earlier, but I noticed that it was discussed on AMIT this morning that Guy had taken down the question and his response from his forum. I sure hope this means he has now found out something different to his initial response. Maybe we will hear more. :yeahright:

It is very strange, I wonder why they would film Mark's show and not then broadcast it? One thing could be that they want to release it like A Night In London? so, it could just be delayed instead, or Guy might has just got it wrong.
