This morning someone on AMIT posted a link to a new interview to the on-line magazine Vintage Guitar which was posted on Facebook. I was hoping to post the entire article, but that didn't work out, so here is the link. Although it is a Privateering interview, Mark talks about guitars which he used on other songs and albums. It also includes some gorgeous pictures of various guitars he uses, including the new blue Pensa on the start of the article. Vintage Guitar Interview  |

Hi, Hop. I suspect that Martin is a very old friend he can confide in and tell all his troubles to! I suspect that as he plays a new melody, he can hear in his head what he wants the final result to sound like, or at least close to it. Then out comes the selection of guitars and amps to test out for each song to try and find the correct combination for the song in his head. |

Thanks Linda, what a fantastic interview that was, Mark seemed really chatty, giving long answers, I never heard him talk about amps like that either. And it was interesting to hear him mention two artists that he listened to while young that I've not heard him talk about before, Josh White and Paul Butterfield, in fact I had never heard of them at all, so that was something new  |
