Mark will release his new album called Tracker in early 2015. The Tracker tour will start in May. Some of the European pre-sales start 17th September.

This is amazing news, they don't usually announce the album and tour at the same time. What does everyone think about the album title? Have to say it's different, and gives no clue to the album style, however it might mean we know one song title.

Hi, James. Yeah, this is great news and I got the word this morning, too. The album title does sound intriguing. It will be interesting to see what is what with it. Probably nothing any of us expect! <_< He always seems to do the unexpected.

It always kind of irks me that the European dates always seem to be announced first, before any dates on this side of the pond. It makes me wonder if MK will indeed come over, and then, the big question, When - before or after the European tour. I noticed someone on AMIT this morning seemed to think that of course, any US tour would be in the fall, but it seems to me at least one of his US tours started in about the end of March and ran into the first part of May or so, so I would guess that that could be a possibility, too, since the first European date is the last day of May. I guess I better start saving up! :P

The info I got from the Terry Kilburn MK news site indicates that there will be a US tour after the european leg but that tickets wouldn't go on sale for it until early 2015. It also suggests that the tour will start in mid-May so presumably that is when the UK dates will be.

Keep calm everyone !!!!!!!!! :hehe:

If you look at MK News you also see the album cover. I'm still unsure about the title but i really like the album cover. It's the first solo album to have Mark on the cover.

It appears that Mark is holding a red Strat out there in that field, doesn't it? Definitely an interesting cover.

Impossible, 3Strats! I've been over the moon ever since I found out about the new album and tour. And this afternoon I managed to buy tickets for a show next June. Phew - I made it! But it means I'll have to go abroad again for a concert. The nearest venue so far is in Sweden, but I ordered the tickets from the presale anyway, because there might not be any dates in Finland at all. Even if they announced a date in Helsinki as well later on, I wouldn't mind. The more the merrier! :)

I hope does visit Finland for you Elina :)

Linda, it looks to me like the side view of his acoustic guitar, it looks to think in body to be the Strat.

Yeah, you are right. After I put up that post, I say a bigger, higher resolution photo on another site, and you could see it was the side view of an acoustic. In the small picture, it looked like a red guitar resting on the ground at a fair distance from the camera - not a whole lot of detail. Maybe the eyes are going faster than I had thought! B)

For those who haven't seen it...here it is...Tracker Cover

It's definitely an acoustic...but oddly enough I don't think it's a Martin..not with a red side. And the place? Somebody from the UK could help me out with this....does the South of England look like that? It's so flat...looks like the midwest in the US to me.

I'm super excited to hear another album! And happy to know that he should be in the US in the fall of 2015, that is better timing for me than the spring. I think the name is cool!

I was checking in rather infrequently to Guy's site- which the album diary was not really kept up as in times past, so I was somewhat surprised to read about the new album. But I'm happy!!

Hi Kitkat, good to see you again :)

I think it's almost impossible to say where that field really is, or even what country it is, but yes we have lots of open flat areas in the UK, Norfolk, Cambridge, Suffolk are really like that, might have to be a question for Guy.

Yes I think it looks like the UK. There are many areas that look like that on a summer day.

I've texted my boss & got permission for a late start on Monday so I can be poised over the computer when the UK pre-sale starts . . .

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!

Will you be going to Newcastle, Aidan?

At the moment I'm thinking about Manchester, Newcastle and London.

Best of luck with the booking! :)

Hi Val,
Yes I'll be going to Newcastle with my wife, and also getting tickets for a friend & her daughter who came with us to the Get Lucky show but missed the last tour. I was thinking about going to 2 shows this time but I don't think I'll be able to.

I hope you get good tickets too! Maybe we'll bump into each other at Newcastle.
I recognised Isaac (who I met briefly while collecting the the tickets for the Get Lucky tour) and Ingrid at the last Newcastle show, but didn't introduce myself.

I'm going to try and get tickets for the O2 in London as I've never been there, and it will make a change from Bournemouth :)
