Some of the players in the Galaxy... Kower Industries - The largest corporation in the Republic, it started as a manufacturing firm that quickly penetrated the rest of the market. Kower is linked to most agriculture, construction, energy, pharmaceutical, media, and insurance corporations in the galaxy, as well as many defense contractors and private security companies. The Kowers have had a long history of serving the Republic and are one of its premier political families. The current head was the Senator of Coruscant - ostensibly a largely ceremonial position, yet one from which he able to position himself to become the new Chancellor of the Senate. His closest blood nephew is also the Grand General of the Army, putting the Kowers in a considerable position of power over the Republic. Hadian Mining Group - The Mandalorian Wars, Jedi Civil War, and the Grand Civil War left many of the mining and resource processing companies destroyed. Hadian grew out of the remnants of Czerka's deep space drilling division to take over much of the industry. Through a number of subsidiaries, Hadian either controls or has a stake in a majority of the gas, precious metal and other resource harvesting operations in the galaxy at any given time. They also have a an interest in all levels of starship manufacturing - including the production of naval weapons systems - and subsequently have much undue influence in most of the spacers' guilds that consequently are usually forced to supply labor for them. Artuga Corporation - Filling in the gaps not covered by Hadian and Kower, Artuga has aggressively expanded under the radar for some time. They'd managed to take over many smaller businesses in the food production and transportation markets early on before expanding into other sectors such as private healthcare providers, resource exploration and refining, retail store chains, and manufacturers of products from textiles to individual components - usually those required by the staple products of Artuga's competitors. Obviously this has given a position of leverage, if not total control, over would-be rivals and often whole planetary systems. Yet Artuga went further and gained more leverage by establishing the Corporate Sector - an area at the far end of space loaned by the Sith and Tionese governments where there are no regulations and scant few laws. While Artuga allows any corporate entity to conduct business there for the price of a relatively small finder's fee, it is rumored that their true interest region lies in research relating to their newest expanding market - personal weapons' systems. Tyber Security - Private Military Corporation that has made a name for itself taking high-end contracts from established governments and corporations. They'll only commit to legitimate, universally recognized jobs but as far as mercenaries go, they're of the best quality. They specialize in areas such as VIP protection and retrieval, maintaining aerial and orbital superiority, corporate security, providing combat instruction and training, and police and military force augmentation. Their size is estimated at roughly 150,000 combat personnel, along with a handful of fleets and starfighters. Raxy & Co. - A lower-end mercenary firm that handles the jobs many of the others wouldn't bother to; however the nature of this work has given them something of a 'poor man's hero' status. They specialize in civilian defense and irregular warfare. They only number a few hundred, at most Battalion-level strength, at any one time - however, their connections and goodwill among civilians is such that they can summon tens of thousands of militia upon certain planets. Obviously, they have very little access to heavier combat hardware than infantry blasters and personal shields. Bounty Hunters' Guild - Giving a semblance of centralization to a disorganized segment of the population, the Guild counts the majority of legitimate bounty hunters as its membership. This makes it hard to pin down their exact strength though officially at least 50,000 "legitimate" hunters are registered at any one time - which isn't saying much. Bounty Hunters operate on their own or in small teams, and thus use their own personal equipment that can vary from hunter to hunter. They specialize primarily in - obviously - tracking down Low Value to High Value Targets for capture or elimination, but their style of combat also produces decent individual fighters and guerrilla warfare specialists. Lansen Solutions - Reputation for cold efficiency, this firm strictly handles discrete assignments quickly and quietly. They'll consider any jobs, as long they pay enough - which is usually an exorbitant amount given the high-risk contracts they take. Nevertheless, they have made themselves a necessity to the many power players in the galaxy with dirt to hide. They keep their numbers a well-guarded secret, but they are estimated to range anywhere from 30,000 to 100,000. They don't possess any naval vessels heavier than armed civilian shuttles, but do operate deadly land vehicles of all sizes. They specialize in land and occasionally naval interdiction, HVT neutralization, surveillance and reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, pro-active security operations in contested regions and providing quick reaction forces. Tac-Spec Corporation - A droid manufacturer that has risen to new heights in the aftermath of the war, they produce numerous models and types but their biggest export are battle droids - in bulk. Balmorran Arms - Located in the Colonies, BA has become one of the Republic's premier droid manufacturers the in the wake of the war. They do offer domestic models, but more often than not their task-oriented battle droids are more popular. Duwani Mechanical Products - Once a great producer of droids in its own right, Duwani has fallen far from grace. It was undersold and then bought out by Czerka, leaving the company in shambles after the other fell. Artuga has recently acquired Duwani and is seeking to make it the name it once was. Adascorp - An ancient Arkanian biotech firm that once nearly controlled its home planet, it suffered several setbacks around the time of the Mandalorian Wars. Highly successful yet surrounded by controversy, they have nonetheless used Arkania's newfound neutrality to create a considerable profit by selling to all sides. |

Galactic Republic - Still standing after more than 20,000 years and a massive war, nonetheless the Republic is a shadow of its former self for all intents and purposes. However, the Republic still maintains itself as the center of freedom and justice within the galaxy, and possesses much of the industry and at least 60% of the galactic population. Sith Empire - A reconstituted amalgam of the remnants of the ancient Sith, Revan's forces, the Sith Triumvate, Exar Kun's allies, and a few newcomers, the new Empire resides mainly in original Sith Space and the territories around it wherever Sith had resided in the past millennia. However, it also presides over the Deep Core Union as a protectorate, by way of the Daragon Trail connecting Koros Major with Korriban. Mandalorian Empire - The Neo-Crusader dream made physically manifest, the Mandalorian territory encompasses a swath of their recent conquests. Though only a select few can make it as Warriors, the rest serve to support the Empire as laborers, manufacturers, healers, and any other way they can - whether they like it or not. New Hutt Empire - Though the Hutts have promoted their conquests to no end, the New Empire only serves to legitimize and consequently centralize what was mostly already territory lorded over by individual Hutts - with the exception of the Bothans. Now, the space stretching from the Arkanis Sector to Kessel is divided among the premier clans, with the lesser cartels operating as retainers. Tionese Confederacy - Consisting mostly of part of Xim the Despot's ancient territory, this new government has transformed much of the region's history to suit their needs - including turning the tale of the conqueror into a legend of Tion. While this has served somewhat to legitimize the ruling House of Tion, it has also alienated others that either idolized or rejected the legend of Xim, including Desevro and Lianna. Muunlinist Domain - The Muuns have long been known more as bankers than conquerors, which leaves the reasons for their land grabs over the past century a mystery. Most of their territory consists of holdings of a former Sith enclave during the Great Civil War, which they acquired after paying considerable reparations to the Republic. Now, they are working hard and investing much in colonizing new planets and revitalizing backwater worlds. Rimward Alliance - A collection of Outer Rim sectors with a few holdings in the Mid Rim, their leaders' spout an entirely new batch of Anti-Republic dogma. Born from a separatist movement they claim to be trying to achieve a more perfect type of democracy than the Republic offered. Though Eriadu, Sullust, and Sluis Van operate as the joint capitols, the real power ostensibly resides within the Alliance Congress - which consists of representatives from every group of every planet. Ssi-Ruuvi Republic - Not much is known about the saurian Ssi-Ruuk, but their own leaders claim they were liberated from themselves by the Sith and the Chiss. Their entire civilization was propelled by a technology called "entrenching" - which used living beings to power their machines. Sith and Chiss covert teams provided them with alternative tech, and helped spark a coup that overturned their entire civilization. Now, the Ssi-Ruuk claim their Republic will spread their new found ideals to other beleaguered planets. However, some claim this is cover for expansion to acquire the resources needed to power their new technology. Chiss Ascendancy - The Chiss were an unknown species when the Republic first discovered the Sith allies in the Unknown Regions. They later sided against Revan and regained their territory. They mostly withdrew from the galaxy at large, but maintained minimal relations with the Republic. The sudden change is evident of a renewed alliance with the Sith, as is the presence of Dark Jedi among the Ruling Families and one high ranking Chiss on the Sith Council. |

The Exchange - Over a hundred years ago, the Exchange was the most prevalent and ruthless criminal syndicate of the galaxy, in spite of the efforts of the Hutts to stamp them out. The Exchange was even bold enough to eventually set up its main headquarters on Nar Shaddaa, the center of criminal activity in the galaxy - and the satellite of the Hutt's adopted homeworld, Nal Hutta. Eventually though, as with the Hutts, they fell out of grace and lost most of their holdings. Confined to the dark parts of the galaxy, the Exchange continues a shadow game today as they creep back into their old srongholds and plan for the future Black Sun - This newcomer syndicate is a mystery. Its leadership has always managed to stay three steps ahead of its competition and the authorities. While it still employs many of the same common thugs, behind this veneer lies a complex network of dedicated, almost fanatical operatives. Coming from a diverse mix of backgrounds and species, they nonetheless are bonded together by unexplainable sense of family ties. The most anyone can pick out of this is a connection to Old Tionese tradition, but beyond that is anyone's guess. Its motives seem to go beyond simple greed, alternating between control and total destruction. Jedi Order - The Jedi Order is one of the most ancient Force using sects still alive today. Hailing originally from a colony on the mysterious world of Tython, they had travelled around until finally permanently allying with the Republic and maing their home on Coruscant. Since then, the Jedi have sought to be peacekeepers on behalf of the Republic and the galaxy at large. Dark Jedi Order - Detractors claim it exists as a mockery of the true Jedi Order, and at first glance it does not seem far from the truth. Acolytes remain masterless a little longer than Padawans as they go through the Koribban Academy's trials, and at times there may be less annointed Sith Lords than Jedi Masters due to the deadly and consistently competitive nature of the Empire. However, beyond that Dark Jedi operate much in the same vein as Jedi. They are ostensibly protectors of their peoeple - their first duty, though, is to protect the people from their own weakness Mandalorian Knight Order - A twice failed experiment of the Mandalorian Neo-Crusaders, the resurgence of their ideals has led to a similar revival of the Knights. However, this time the Mandalorians had more contact with Force users and thus had a larger platform from which to recruit from. It was the efforts of one new arrival, though, that finally gave the Mandalorians the edge they needed - a Mandallian Force Sensitive named Shiogorath. A trained Gray Jedi and honorary Mandalorian, he built the growing resent with the Order and Republic in order to sway many to the clans. Today, he still trains each new class of Mandalorian Force users Red Eclipse - The Red Eclipse was once a small vessel with a few dozen crew of Weequay and Trandoshans that made slaving runs near Hutt Space. A fateful encounter with Meetra Surik on Nar Shaddaa made them into vassals of the Dark Jedi. Now the Red Eclipse is a powerful slavers' guild in its own right that traverses the Rim and even makes runs nearer to the Core. Their prime customers are the Sith, but being top dog makes their services well sought after as a matter of necessity. The Protectors - Mandalore the Preserver (once known as Canderous Ordo) briefly became an ally of the Republic through Revan and later again through Meetra Surik. When the war against the Sith remnants and their allies began in earnest, the Mandalorians were called on and rearmed to fight as the vanguard of the Republic, presumably at the behest of Revan again. When the Civil War took place decades later, the aging Mandalore forbid his people from entering though some freelancers fought for either side. Those who remained with the Republic decided to dedicate themselves to being the Republic's Protectors. A small, little noticed civil war has ranged since then between the supporters of Mandalore the Protector and the much more numerous followers of Mandalore the True. |

Gray Jedi Order - Gray Jedi is an umbrella term chiefly used to describe two main groups of Force users - those Jedi who do not follow the High Council or adhere to their laws and instead follow their own practices, and those who have been trained as Jedi yet do not count themselves as part of any Force sect and operate solely on their own. The Gray Order was established mostly by members of the latter with a few deserters from the former as a secretive organization dedicated to locating untrained Force Sensitives and keeping them from falling to the Dark side while also preventing them from becoming pawns in the wars of the galactic factions. They are also the unofficial protectors of other independent Force groups. Matukai - The Matukai are a peculiar brand of independent Force Adepts that promote peace through a blending of the body and the spirit through the Force. They train in martial arts constantly as a form of meditation that allows more total control of their bodies and the Force, allowing them to micromanage their use with the right amount of stress-free concentration. In addition, they are obsessed with a sense of purity and cleanliness to the point where they proactively avoid introducing any harmful outside influences to their bodies and minds. This dedication and control gives them a significant edge in hand-to-hand fights, at the cost of having to train day and night for years upon years. Jal Shey - An ancient nomadic order much in the same way as the Matukai and Grays, however, they differ in their intellectual and overall pragmatic view of the Force. While still maintaining the balance of the Force, they concentrate on studying its scientific properties and applications in order to use it to better the lives of others, while also debating regularly on their findings. They typically serve as diplomats, philosophers, scholars and advisers for hire, though they only serve those committed to peace. Despite their aversion of combat, they produce some of the best Force-augmented armor and weapons available to Force Sensitives found in the galaxy. Republic Senate - The legislative and executive branch of the Republic government, it was formerly officially named the Galactic Senate but was forced to change the title in Treaty Zero - one last insult from the conquerors. However, the Senate still represents hundreds of thousands of the most populous and industrialized systems, making it one of the most potentially powerful governments in the galaxy. The sheer number of representatives, though, runs the hazard of creating debilitating gridlocks that can bring the process to a standstill. Revan introduced reforms to curtail this in the name of security. However, the blatant abuse and ultimate ineffectiveness of the last Chancellor has prompted the transfer of many executive powers from the Chancellor's office to a few select Committees. Security Committee - Made up of Senators from select Core planets such as Corellia, Kuat, Rendili, Duros, and others. Oversees all military and other security concerns and has the final say in any decisions. Directly handles the deployment of Intelligence and Special Forces units. Sith Council - The ruling body of the Sith reflects the new order's attempts at integration and centralization. Its leadership includes the Sith'ari, the Hand of the Sith, the Eye of the Sith, the heads of the new divisions of the Dark Jedi Order, and the highest ranking military leaders. Its membership also includes representatives from the most important sector capitols, as well as from the Korriban Academy, but these hold very little voting power. Circle of Chieftains - The closest thing the Mandalorians have to a standing government, the Circle is ostensibly made up of the of chiefs of every clan in existence, though only the leaders of the more powerful clans attend regularly. Even then, many eschew physical attendance for holoprojecting from their flagship, not wanting to halt whatever campaign their carrying out against hapless rebels or vulnerable raiding targets. Only when an emergency is declared by Mandalore does everyone attend in person. Corporate Authority - The administrative branch of the Corporate Sector, it's supposed to represent the interests of all parties based in the territory, yet is quite blatantly under Artuga's control. They also handle security concerns, but much of their security force is made up of former Sith and Tionese soldiers and they even outsource their more serious problems to the Sith military. |

Jiramma Kajidic - The ruling clan of the new Hutt Empire arose from position of obscrurity. They were one of many retainer kajidics operating on Nar Shaddaa, scraping by with the common criminals. Then quite suddenly several decades ago, they were able to secure some outside support that provided them with the means to launch a coup that placed them as the undisputed masters of the core of Hutt Space. Though no one has dared to challenge them, many Hutts whisper that they are puppets of a foreign party and the slightest hint of weakness will bring the wolves. Jhank Shel Kajidic - A more traditionalist clan that rules the borders of the Hutts from the Kessel Sector, their primary trade is in illcit spice. However, they manage any good that is trafficked through and around their territory, whether it is legitimate trade or contraband. Besadii Kajidic - Masters of the Arkanis Sector for centuries, they handle slaving and mining. Their mines and slave pens are notorious for their sadism and rampant cruelty. However, the oppressive and mildly xenophobic ways of this clan had finally caught up to them when the Desilijic declared war. Their alienated allies and underlings quickly jumped ship when the opportunity arose. The loss of Tatooine and the half of the Arkanis Sector's routes it controls has brought the trafficking of their products to a halt. Desilijic Kajidic - Another upstart former retainer clan, these ambitious Hutts have managed to prove themselves a true power in the Outer Rim. They established themselves by succeeding where other clans had failed and recruiting the Bothan Sector into their fold....by promising the unthinkable: equal and fair treatment. With the Bothan spies at their beck and call, they were able to exploit the growing resentment against the Besadii and take half the Arkanis Sector in a short but bloody war. There is still open fighting, and though their rivals still have more monry and soldiers, the Desilijic have a much wider assortment of alliances. Through their money lending practices, they've been able to establish the largest operation of kajidic to cultivate parternships and business footholds outside of Hutt Space. Clan Ordo - Though this clan has become synonymous with Mandalores, it has only in reality provided two in the past 150 years. When Mandalore the Preserver was on his deathbed, he illegally gave all his power to the Skirata clan. Several generations passed under Skirata leadership until Mandalore the Betrayer was discovered to have been extorted by foreign powers and killed for it. The leader of Clan Ordo promised a return to the old ways, encouraging a new Crusade. He became Mandalore the True and has reigned for the past 40 years, with Ordo's position as the premier clan going unquestioned by all Mandalorians outside the Protectors. Clan Wraith - A relatively new clan that was created by a ruthless and bloothirsty mercenary who was accepted into the Mandalorian fold. In keeping with their traditions, they are more readily accepting of raw fringe fighters than older, more established clans. In addition they are prone to using unorthodox tactics to get what they want. Clan Viszla - A clan that is well known for their ruthless tactics and merciless fighting styles, they have a reputation that sinister even for Mandalorians. They are more prone than other clans to brutally suppress rebellions, enslave whole populations, and constantly raid their surrounding territory. Clan Fett - Probably one of the most famous clans to non-Mandalorians, due to the actions of well known figures such as Neo Crusader general Cassus Fett. The descendants of Cassus disappeared after the Mandalorian wars, and only relatively recently rejoined the Neo Crusader horde. Those of Fett often display a more indepedent spirit and can regularly move between Mndalorian society and civilian life. |

Council of Families - The ruling body of the Chiss Ascendancy that is made up of representatives from each of the current Ruling Families. However its power has diminished as the personal influence of the stronger Families has grown, making its existence more of a formality right now. Nuruodo - The Family formerly in charge of the regular Chiss military and consequently the second most powerful in the Ascendancy. Obviously when the main military forces were crushed by Revan the Family suffered, however, they were still technically in command of the potent Colonial Phalanx militia forces and rallied these in the Civil War. With the Defense Expansionary Fleet destroyed though, the Colonial military had to be refilled with personal Household Phalanxes of the Families. This saw the surviving Families carve out their spheres of influence, but worse the now ambitious Csapla took advantage and took every more control of the colonial militia. The heads of the Nuruodo refused to act, though, dead set on maintaining the status quo as most Chiss were won't to do. This changed when a family member known in Basic as Helton built up an alliance of disillusioned Nuruodo and other Family members to launch a shocking coup. He disbanded the regular military forces and worked with the other Families to divide up the territory. Though the Nuruodo were still present at the Battle of Coruscant, and more importantly though Helton is a well known Chiss supremacist and xenophobe, he has made overtures to the Republic, including sending his own cousin as an ambassador and an apprentice to the Jedi Order. Csapla - Family formerly in charge of colonial affairs and resource distribution, they have historically been the most powerful in the Ascendancy. They became even more powerful with the destruction of the Defense Expansionary Fleet, as the colonial militia became the most powerful military force in Chiss Space. Though the Colonial Phalanxes were nominally under the joint control of the Nuruodo and Csapla, militarily and administratively, the Csapla began exerting more and more control over them to exert their own interests as did the other Families who provided their own miltia. It slowly came to light that the Csapla were pursuing a renewed alliance with the Sith, which would only cement their position. A young and ambitious Nuruodo commander surprised everyone by launching a preemptive coup against his own family and the Chiss central government. Most of the Csapla sided with him and signed the treaty that divided the Ascendancy up, content to manage their home territory while the other Families occupied the border regions. Chaf - Formerly lower level bureaucrats, the Chaf have had a history of showing more ambition than most Chiss. They consistently used their own Phalanx to deal with issues that were supposed to be in the sphere of the CEDF's duties. The current situation has only served to give legitimacy to their actions and they joined the coup with as much glee as a Chiss could muster. They are content to continuously expand their territory in the name of Chiss security, yet knowing that the collectivist nature of their society means they'll always have reinforcements if a they encounter a threat too great for them to handle on their own. Mitth - Only the Nuruodo have proven more conservative than the Mitth, so traditionalist is this particular Family. Even to this day they still promote the isolationist ideals of the previous government. As a result many of their members joined the military, and consequently they lost power along with the Nuruodo when the CEDF was destroyed by Revan's forces. However, the upstart Helton convinced their aspiring leaders to take charge of the Family and join his movement, if only to counteract the ambitious Chaf and Csapla and protect Chiss ideals. The Mitth now occupy what is widely regarded as the most dangerous section of the Unknown Regions, a duty they face with the same dedication they've always displayed. |

Alliance Congress The ruling body of the Rimward Alliance government, it is made of representatives of every sociopolitical group in Alliance space. Ostensibly this creates a need for consensus among parties, however most have gathered into voting blocs centered around regional capitals in order to push their agendas Sullust Bloc The slightly more liberal bloc focused on diversity and alien rights, it is composed of the more outlying systems that often sympathize with the Republic Eriadu Bloc Made up of the central systems, this bloc is more conservative and humanist in its agenda, as well as sympathizers of the Sith Sluis Van Bloc The moderate and largest bloc, composed of the most varied range of groups within the Alliance House Tion The noble family that has ruled over the Tion sector and adjoining systems for the past few centuries, they have maintained control over the shipping and other space traffic in their domain. Despite their claims to be directly descended from Xim, few outside their personal holdings subscribe to this belief House Santhe A wealthy family that presides over the independent territory of Lianna, they maintain their power by playing all sides and investing in corporate technological advances. Though they have significant stakes in Artuga, Kower and Tal Sec, the rumor is they seek to start ventures of their own. House Organa The current premier noble family of Alderaan, they have built a reputation as a kind and generous group. However, there are whispers that underneath this veneer is a seedy underside House Ulgo Formerly the most powerful family on both Alderaan and Taris, many of their most prominent members met with tragedy on the latter world. An assassin eliminated a score of them without warning and forced the whole family into hiding for a time - effectively ceding their authority to the Organa House Sienar A family of ship designers and builders whose history stretches back millennia, originating in the Tion sector and expanding well beyond. Though originally the primary manufacturer for the Koros system and then the Republic, they have since moved on and serve nearly every major corporation and government House Antilles An Alderaanian noble house with cadet branches on Corellia, after the descension of the Ulgo they took a more powerful position in the politics of Alderaan House Draay An important family of Coruscant that has many holdings in the financial sector, also famous for producing several high-profile Jedi. Unfortunately this reputation was tainted among the higher circles of the Republic and Jedi Order during an unknown incident during the Mandalorian Wars, which was later leaked out by Revan's forces during his tenure. After the civil war and the centuries that followed, most of their power now resides with interests in Kower, Adascorp and various Muun companies House Adasca Cofounder and once controlling family of Adascorp, they lost that title to the Draays after their CEO died trying to secede Arkania from the Republic while simultaneously selling biological weapons of mass destruction to the highest bidder - which included the Republic's enemies. Though they have graciously been allowed to buy back a controlling stake, they still have to share the company with many other influential families House Kuat The overlords of Kuat, they control both the construction of ships and the politics of the planet that shares their name. The Senator of Kuat is often from the family, and by law control of the world's shipyards is granted to them permanently House Venir Formerly the royal family of the Alsakan monarchy, they began losing the faith of the populace when a scandal emerged some years ago involving a distant cousin (who coincidentally also represented the planet in the Senate) and a smuggling ring. This culminated in a rebellion during the great galaxy wide conflict that toppled theirs and many other governments. However, some have still managed to maintain some level of power through old networks and contacts |

Bumani Exchange Corporation - A front company for the various Exchange crews, it is ostensibly a shipping entity that brings cargo from the Core to the Rim. It is used as a cover for smuggling and piracy, as well a money laundering tool and listed place of legitimate employment for the various thugs of the syndicate Alpha-Omega Multisystems - A front conglomerate for Black Sun that has its origins in the Tionese Hegemony. There many subsidiaries based on Coruscant and a few key locations in the Outer Rim Galactic Banking Clan - The ruling board of the Galactic Bank, the largest financial institution in the galaxy. It backs the currency of most nations with its vast mineral and precious metal reserves, which are quite plentiful in Muunilist space. All corporations and financial institutions in the Domain are nominally under their control. Interstellar Finance Network - A vast organization of legitimate moneylenders, though their methods of tracking down defaulting loanees leaves much to be desired from a legal standpoint. The local colonies they fund are effectively forced into indentured servitude, providing them with a steady supply of free labor. Muunilist Trust - Backers of space exploration who consequently gain a substantial percentage of the rights for anything found on each mission, including hyperspace routes, resources, and artifacts, or otherwise seize all assets. Outer Rim Credit - One of the smaller arms of the GBC, the ORC works to provide continuous credit to commercial interests in the Rim, keeping them dependent on the Banking Clan's capital. Corporate Alliance - A new association of many commercial interests that exist outside the monopolies of Kower, Hadian and Artuga, created for protection against those larger entities. Ironically they have based themselves in the Corporate Sector Corellian Slavers Guild - Despite its name, this slaving guild actually operates mostly outside of Republic space, though because of Treaty Zero they can afford to occassionally traffic through the Mid Rim and even the Core Worlds as long as they are discreet. This makes them one of the most influential guilds, as few other legitimate slavers openly contend with the Republic Zygerrian Slavers Guild - Created to legitimize the time-honored traditions of Zygerrian slavers, this guild works hand-in-hand with Red Eclipse and the Sith, though sometimes competes with the former Trandoshan Slaving Collective - The existence of this slaving guild is a controversey in the Mandalorian Empire: the Trandoshans are fully integrated into the Neo Crusaders, and the truce with their traditional capture targets, the Wookiees, is strictly enforced by Mandalore. Also, the ideology of the Neo Crusaders specifically states that all captures aren't property, they are converts, but the reality is that there are too many conquered people to process quickly enough before rebellions arise, and independent Mandalorians frequently add more slaves when their raids don't turn up enough loot. So the TSC was created as a necessary evil to deal with the 'rejects' while keeping other traditions intact. |

Chaospawn - Individuals who have selected by Darth Kaos to carry Dark Side energies of Chaos, they are saturated throughout the galaxy. The Conspiracy - A select group of Chaospawn who have become leaders and enforcers of various powerful organizations and include some of the most recognizable and infamous names in the galaxy Anti-Jedi Crusaders - Though they just call themselves the Crusaders, the Anti-Jedi signifier is added by outsiders so as not to confuse them with the Mandalorian Crusaders, and even then the title is still a misnomer as they target anyone they feel may be a Jedi minion or sympathizer. This includes most government sanctioned Force user slike the Mandalorian Knights or Dark Jedi, or even anyone loosely associated with them such as the Matukai or Jal Shey. The Anti-Jedi Crusades raged on for two years after first declaring themselves openly, but the fanatics were eventually pushed out of most civilized systems to the edge of the galaxy. Now, most former Crusaders have either joined the larger Pius Dea sect or have become outlaws Neo-Crusaders - The ancient Mandalorian Crusaders were in reality little more than pirates and raiders, but their involvement in the Great Sith War and their defeat afterwards transformed them into something more. After converting or edging out the old guard, the Neo-Crusaders proceeded with their dream to make the whole galaxy Mandalorian. Though they were defeated again, the dream has lived on through new generations until they finally achieved their goal of establishing an Empire. However, the Neo-Crusaders are still technically just a cult and though all active Mandalorians are nominally members, not all are keen on being Imperial servants. This has led to increasing rebellions in the past few years and some Mandalorians have even joined terrorist organizations to help fight against the influence of the current Mandalore Unity Security Services - A private security agency created and owned by Alpha-Omega whose contractors are often employed directly by the other subsidiaries of the parent company. Rumored to be a front for Black Sun thugs to provide protection for their territories and retribution against rivals all under the guise of the law, however, they do also take legitimate outside contracts. Legio Uno and many other mercenary companies fall under the USS banner, all led by suspected Black Sun affiliates Free Republic - Colloquially labeled the "Pirate Republic" by observers, it was created by many of the various buccaneer groups that operate in the Outer Rim. Though most of its leadership are former Sith privateers, they have welcomed raiders from all sides and corners of the galaxy to join their ranks under a banner of truce |

Pius Dea - An ancient, humanocentric cult that once controlled almost the entire Republic for over 1000 years until dissidents and the Jedi took it down. They were gone but not forgotten, and with the Crusaders being torn apart some have broken off to create their own groups or join others, one being a revived version of the cult now with anti-Jedi leanings. The group's beliefs were originally centered around an unnamed Goddess and purity of mind and spirit. However, these tenets gave way to human supremacist views when the sect's most popular figurehead, a Supreme Chancellor of the Republic known as Contispex, declared all aliens inherently "corrupt" and inferior, launching a series of crusades against alien civilizations in the Outer Rim that were carried on by his successors. His heirs all took the name Contispex in his honor, and after the cult's eventual downfall the now hidden members became even more fanatical in their devotion and the name Contispex became the title of their leader. Though the movement had been resurrected in the past, it never again was more than a fringe cult. Despite that, a new iteration sprouted recently that has managed to rally many to its banner and take over a significant portion of the galaxy. Though each subfaction has their own interpretations of the group's greater dogma, the organization as a whole still adheres to some degree of Human supremacy and frequently harasses, enslaves, or kills anyone they deem inferior. Mercenary Alliance - This organization goes by many names, which belies the utter disorganization it suffers from consistently. A loose association of private contractors that served the Muun Domain as security, some time ago they decided to demand a raise from their employers. When it was turned down, they reacted violently and quickly invaded planets held by those still loyal to Muunilist. The chaos that resulted allowed the Crusaders, Pius Dea, and Exchange pirates crews to flourish in the lawlessness that followed, and the mercenaries were quickly overwhelmed by the violent clashes that followed. Many defected to the terrorists or the pirates, and those that remain find themselves in the unenviable position of holding what they still have against fanatics and protecting the refugees and dissidents seeking to escape their clutches. While some of the short-sighted freelancers have tried to exploit the civilians, many unexpected heroes have arisen from among the guns-for-hire who have given everything to protect the innocent caught in the war. Interplanetary Security Department - A new initiative undertaken by the Rimward Alliance to establish a nationwide internal defense force to respond to extraordinary threats. It is composed of four branches: the Regional Security Forces, the Peacekeeper Brigade, the Office of Investigative Services, and the Interplanetary Guard. Regional Security Forces - The planetary militias that ostensibly provide the first and last line of defense for the colony worlds of the Alliance. Since the competing voting Blocs couldn't agree on a central HQ, command and control of the RSFs have been divided between the congressional factions. The Peacekeeper Brigade - A Special Forces unit comprised entirely of Force Sensitives, they are charged with providing an extra check against potential conflicts and acting as the hammer of the Alliance in open ones. The Office of Investigative Services - A civil intelligence agency divided between Gray Jedi and non-Force Sensitives that acts as an ostensibly unbiased information gathering party, and sets up the anvil for the other branches to beat. Interplanetary Guard - A civil protection and augmentation force that was made to offer a truly neutral defense solution in the form of droids. Combat models from a variety of providers and their human controllers make up the entirety of this unit. Ghosh Cloud - The Korunnai who have relocated to Naboo have reorganized themselves into one giant clan, named after their new adopted leader, Kirabi Cloud. Though a majority of their warriors are caught up in securing against possible Gungan hostility, a sizable portion occupy the majority of the Peacekeper Brigade and if the rest decided to take up arms, they'd become a force to be reckoned with. |
