For reasons yet unclear, armor restricts Force usage. Medium armor will more rapidly fatigue Force users and with Heavy Armor no Power can be used by anyone below a skilled Master. Even Light Armor can cause difficultly for Force Sensitives sometimes. For this reason, several groups have made armor specifically geared for use by Force Sensitives in combat. This armor type uses various types of crystals to boost Force Power and make up for any loss in Energy. Heavy Armor - No Force Powers can be used by anyone below Jedi Master/Sith Lord training level. Masters and Lords can only use Tier 2 and below, and 20 FE is added to every Power cost. Medium Armor - Untrained Force Sensitives cannot use any Power above Tier 1, with 20 FE added to every Force Power cost. Trained Knights can use Powers from Tier 1 and 2 for a 10 extra FE penalty. Apprentices can use Powers from Tier 1 and 2 with a 15 FE penalty. Light Armor - Untrained Force Sensitives can use any Power for a 10 extra FE Penalty. Apprentices receive a 5 FE penalty. Knights and above can use Powers for no penalty. The Mandalorians use armor more than anyone else usually, but as they have had little to no Force Sensitives in their ranks they have had little need to focus on Force Armor. An initiative to correct this has had mixed results. Mandalorian Force Armor - Removes 5 FE from the Medium armor penalty. The Jedi and Dark Jedi have traditionally used armor only in the dire of circumstances, namely war, but with the rising tensions have invested in more protection. Jedi/Dark Jedi force Armor - Removes 10 FE from the Medium armor penalty The Gray Jedi, being less numerous and having access to smuggling contacts, have the ability to make limited amounts of Force Armor to protect their members from the marauders that target them. Gray Jedi Force Armor - Carries no Medium armor penalty The Matukai focus on combat, and though they also focus on peace, their leaders are realistic enough to realize the danger that is always present to them. However, even with this Matukai Force Armor is very rare and save only for the most dire of situations. Matukai Force Armor - Carries no Medium armor penalty and removes 5 FE cost Matukai Meditation Band - Removes 5 FE from the cost of any Power Matukai Gauntlets - Removes 5 FE from the cost of any Power The Jal Shey pioneered the creation and mass use of quality Force Armor and are still the best in the business. This is a matter of necessity, as they both recruit and train based on intellect over fighting skill. Jal Shey Neophyte Armor - Carries no Medium armor penalty and removes 5 FE cost Jal Shey Advisor Armor - Carries no Medium armor penalty and removes 10 FE cost Jal Shey Mentor Armor - Carries no Medium armor penalty and removes 15 FE cost Jal Shey Gloves - Removes 10 FE from the cost of any Power Jal Shey Belt - Removes 5 FE from the cost of any Power |

To prevent imbalance and correct redundancies I am altering the system. All Force Armor is now considered Medium and only Jal Shey armor can be upgraded to Heavy, in which case it can be used by Knight level and above for the same penalties as regular Heavy armor. To prevent anyone from using unlimited Force Powers for free, all main faction Force Armor only removes points from the Medium armor penalty. Gray faction armor will add small bonuses and can still be used in conjunction with other items for stacked bonuses. No Force Power will fall under 5 Force Energy cost. All Passive Powers will remain unaffected by armor either way. |
