I figured I'd make this here thread for us to discuss the movie as we await its arrival. Although, I will remind you all what a spoiler nut I am so be warned. For anyone who has been trying to learn anything we know the basic idea of the story. The Clone Wars are coming to a close with the tide of battle on the side of the highly superior Repuublic armies. However, the Separatists are not going to simply give up. With enhanced droid parts and the broken body of a once powerful Kaleesh warrior, Count Dooku has created a Jedi-killing machine more than capable of leading the droid armies to victory named General Greivous. The Star Wars Clone Wars cartoons seen on Cartoon Network were indeed a prelude to Revenge of the Sith as we first Greivous in action as he killed several Jedi and extended his collection of ownerless lightsabers. It is not clear now who will be the one to take him down for the count but I believe it is either Anakin or Obi-Wan. I'm laying my odds on Greivous being one more of the instances advancing Anakin's turn to the dark side as that seems most likely. Anybody else wanna share what they know ?

Cool! We did need a thread like this. I really don't know much about the movie yet at all and like you mentioned, it is almost here. Just another month and a half.

I would appear Chapter 25 leaves us at the beginning of the movie. I would just like to say . . . Anakin KICKS BUTT, Obi-Wan KICKS BUTT, Commander Cody KICKS BUTT, Shaak Ti, Mace Windu, Yoda, and General Greivous really KICK BUTT ! ! Everybody's gotta watch these ! Especially if you wanna know what's goin' on when you see the movie. I can't wait !

So you can just download and watch all the cartoons on this site? That's pretty cool, I'll have to watch some of them sometime. The cartoon can't really be a go between for the story between the movies though, can it? I mean, it's just a cartoon with each episode lasting only five minutes.

Its "just" a cartoon authorized by Lucasfilm and with GL's own adopted son providing the voice for Anakin. Yes, it is the in-between story for the movies and unless you watch it you won't know what's goin' on in ROS. :shadow:

Sadly, non-Jump to Hyperspace members can only watch the new ones. So for those who missed the first two seasons I will give a quick summary. Anakin and Obi-Wan travel to a Separatist-controlled system to take it with the expertise of the ARC Troopers (elite Clone Troopers trained by Jango Fett himself). Anakin is appointed to lead the fleet above the atmosphere while Obi-Wan and the ARC Troopers infiltrate the city to capture the leaders of the Banking Clan governing the system. However, Count Dooku has dispatched his latest and possibly last mercenary ally, Durge, a full-fledged Mandalorian in all his weirdness. Meanwhile, Kit Fisto liberates the planet, Mon Calamari. The first season closes with Obi-Wan defeating Durge and Anakin being lured into a trap by Dooku's Dark Jed Assassin, Assajj Ventress. In the second season, Anakin followed Ventress to Yavin IV where he used his usually dormant dark side powers to destroy her. During this, Yoda was escorting Padme and her droids when they're attacked by stealth droids. Another nice display of Yoda's skills. Also, two other Jedi struggle to protect a cavern filled with the crystals used to make lightsabers as it is attacked by Separatist forces. The second season ended with the arrival of General Greivous as he killed two Jedi Knights and seriously injured three others. So, get to watching the last five chapters which are much longer than the previous ones. Each is around twenty minutes, enjoy ! :shadow:

Here's a picture of the freaky wonder that is General G.

Thanks for the summary. I guess that's because the first 20 are on DVD to buy. Are there going to be enough for another whole DVD of the rest or do you think that they are going to just release them all on one DVD when they reach the end? If the second scenario is the case then I might just get the DVD with all of them on it.

The first is true, there's two volumes. Like I said, the new ones are long so they get their own DVD. :)
