Aw man, that stinks but I hardly have the absolute best 3D graphics card. In fact, I have about the cheapest graphics card that's out there right now. I got it at Best Buy for about sixty bucks. It's a NVidia GeForce MX 4000 128 MB graphics card. Not that great really, but enough to handle most 3D games at their highest quality and mantain good speed. You should get one, but you need to make sure it's compatible with your laptop, though.

Well, if it will allow me to play Empire at War then I may have to get one, but I really don't want to right now because I can't afford it any time soon.

It should. I can play the demo so I imagine I can play the game. ^_^ I just wonder if it's compatible with your laptop. You may need some special type of graphics card or something. Anyway, I was looking at some screenshots and you use your credits to recruit heroes in the game. Heroes and some units tend to have special abilities that must recharge after you use them. Han and Chewie can both gain a short burst of running speed to get out of a tense situation. Han can deliver an EMP burst to disable mechanical units while Chewie can take control of any mechanical unit from a AT-ST to an AT-AT and more. When in space, they're in the Millenium Falcon and they can easily turn the tide in any space battle with their awesome shields, fire power, and special ability for temporary invincibility. Boba Fett has some nice moves as well from the looks of things. I'd wager the Slave I ain't the pitiful hunk of junk it is in the Rogue Squadron series. He also has his jetpack and flamethrower to wreck havoc on the battlefield. Then, of course, there's Darth Vader. I'm not sure what his abilities are but one appears to be either Force Push or Force Choke and something else. He may have the ability to convert units from the looks of the screenshots I've seen. Similar to Galactic Battlegrounds, there are four tech levels. However, only the Empire can actually conduct research. The Rebels simply don't have the resources, so they send droids, typically C-3PO and R2-D2 to steal technology from the Empire. :R2D2: I can't wait for this game ! :w00t:

Neat! Sounds great! Too bad the graphics are too good for most computers to handle <_< .

Yeah, Vader can convert units to his side.

I wonder if I'd need a new graphics card...probably...

I suppose that I'll eventually have to get a graphics card that can support this game because it's just going to own all! Until I can get a really good graphic card though, perhaps I can get a good feel for the game at Project : Shadow's house :stormtrooper: . Eh buddy? I just realized that the game comes out THIS WEEK. Did you reserve it P:S?

Yeah, a while back I reserved Sonic Riders, Star Wars Empire at War, and The Lord of the Rings : The Battle for Middle-earth II all at the same time at Game Stop. B) I got promised the shirt for Sonic Riders, got the code to download the beta test for LOTR : B4ME II, and got nothing for SW E@W. :p As the girl was handing out free junk to the reserving-type people like me she threw me and some other people an X Box 360 key chain strap doo-flotchey just before I went out the door. Yeah, for once you can come to my house for an awesome game you can't get yet. ^_^ It's been quite a while since that happened. Very ironic. My computer rocks, although it's having difficulty playing the LOTR : B4ME II beta test. :worried:

Well, today is the day. IGN already put up their review of the game. Of course, I could really care less about what they rate it, but it's worth a read for the heck of it. Their only real problem with the game was that it gets old and repetitive pretty quickly. They also were a little disappointed with the graphics concerning the ground units, :stormtrooper: but they admit that's just them expecting more since it's a Star Wars game. It got like a 7.6 or something. As for the graphics, I'm not going to be that picky. They're good enough. If they were much better my computer couldn't even handle them. As for repetition, they completely overlooked the replay value added to the game when you take into account the world builder (or maybe that's galaxy builder, the scenario editer whatever you want to call it) and the online multiplayer. Another thing they started to complain about was that the Death Star can only target planets, but they realized that was all the first Death Star was designed to do. The Death Star II was adapted to target capital ships. In case you didn't know, the game tells the story of the events between the two trilogies. Therefore, you can expect a few things from each of the movies to be present. The Episode III model of the Republic/Imperial Assault Ship/Starcruiser/Star Destroyer is in the game. There are many innovative features of the gameplay and I look forward to picking my copy up this evening. (8<l If y'all don't hear from me, I'll be in a galaxy far, far away. Hmmm, might as well uninstall that demo now. :R2D2:

Sweet! If it's not too late, please come back and tell us about it once you play.
