I just got one of the new Star Wars edition TV Guides (the holographic cover has Anakin and Obi-Wan fighting) and it tells a LOT ! So, if you want to be surprised about Episode III then you must do the following : stop reading this, don't read TV Guide, don't ask me anything about the movie because I WILL tell you, and pretty much never leave your house or talk to anyone who knows anything about Star Wars because the spoilers are out there on a rampage. The reason being, real harcore Star Wars fans were disappointed with the first two prequels and the novelization was released to put their minds at ease that the final Star Wars movie would meet their expectations and then some. I for one, loved Episode I and II and absolutely can't wait for the last one. However, just because there will never be an Episode VII doesn't mean that Star Wars is over completely. There are already plans to continue the Star Wars animated series, have a live-action series or two about the lesser Star Wars characters, and redo all six episodes of the Star Wars Saga in 3-D one episode each year starting around 2007. All this said, if anyone really wants some serious spoiling then just keep reading because I've been spoiled and I just want to bring it all to one place. I can't help myself, I gotta tell someone even if no one reads it. Here is a basic summary of the highlights and major sequences of Star Wars Episode III : Revenge of the Sith ! ___________________________________________________________________________________________________ Okay, here is the introduction story for the movie which, as usual, begins "A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away . . ." STAR WARS Epsiode III Revenge of the Sith War ! The Republic is crumbling under attacks by the ruthless Sith Lord, Count Dooku. There are heroes on both sides. Evil is everywhere. In a stunning move, the fiendish droid leader, General Grievous has swept into the Republic capital and kidnapped Chancellor Palpatine, leader of the Galactic Senate. As the Separatist droid army attempts to flee the besieged capital with their valuable hostage, two Jedi Knights lead a desparate mission to rescue the captive Chancellor . . . . Not the best piece of writing but it'll do, I suppose. It starts off with a massive space battle featuring the Republic Assault Ships against the Trade Federation Starcruisers and the ARC-170 Clone Fighters, V-Wing Starfighters, and Jedi Starfighters against the Vulture Droids (formerly known as Droid Starfighters in Episode I), Droid Tri-Fighters, and Buzz Droids. Its the most impressive space battle yet as Anakin and Obi-Wan in the Jedi Starfighters crash onto the docking bay of General Grievous' command ship. As they fight there way through they meet up with the Chancellor and the first of many lightsaber duels commence as round two of Anakin and Obi-Wan versus Count Dooku, also known as Darth Tyranus, begins. Obi-Wan is knocked unconscious by being thrown into a wall by Dooku and ain't able to see when, after being urged by the Chancellor, Anakin unleashes the fury of the Dark Side of the Force and cuts off Dooku's hand. Then, with both his and Dooku's lightsaber he removes Dooku's head. They rescue the Chancellor and Grievous escapes but its not long before Obi-Wan hunts the general down on Utapau. General Grievous attacks with all four of the lightsabers he has collected from fallen Jedi but Obi-Wan knocks every weapon from his hand. Grievous tries to get away but is shot and killed by Obi-Wan using Grievous' own blaster pistol. Back at Coruscant, the Jedi decide to arrest Palpatine suspecting him of treason but they uncover the dark secret of Darth Sidious and the poweful Sith Lord kills many Jedi and Master Mace Windu with help from "loyal" Anakin. Mace loses his hand and falls out a window and dies after being hit by a barrage of Force Lightning. That's when Anakin becomes a Sith, after helping to murder a Jedi. He is then renamed Darth Vader. Anakin proceeds then to the Jedi Temple and kills all Jedi there while Sidious activates a code in the clone army that causes them to turn and kill all their Jedi leaders. Yoda and Obi-Wan escape with Bail Organa's help and Yoda sets off after Palpatine as Obi-Wan takes off after his former apprentice. Yoda fails to destroy the Emperor and goes into hiding while Obi-Wan mutilates what was once Anakin Skywalker but not until after Vader chokes and almost kills his wife, Padme. She barely lives long enough to see her children, Luke and Leia, born. The rest everyone should already know, Bail Organa takes Leia with him to Alderaan, Yoda scats off to Dagobah, and Obi-Wan takes Luke Skywalker to Tatooine to be raised by Anakin's stepbrother, Owen Lars and his wife, Beru. That's the end, I can't wait ! ! |
