Well, I finally got the Prologue done. It's quite long, so have fun reading it! Prologue: Earth! A planet, which may quite possibly be the most fertile and life-supportive planet in all of infinity as we know it. It may seem hard to believe that a seemingly heartless antihero like Narclaw could actually come from such a beautiful planet. It may seem even harder to believe that he holds this wondrous planet in complete and utter contempt and would be willing to auction it off if he could. Who is Narclaw? You will find out soon enough… Narclaw was born Ralph Lonsdale, on December 19, 3088. As the 31st century dawned, so did a new wave of human intelligence and creation. The human race had managed to gain control of gravity and use it as they please, traveling through space in the speed of light was now a reality, and most important of all, traveling through space didn’t even have to take place anymore once the new portal technology was installed in every planet throughout 24 different dimensions. The NovaNet© Portal Transportation System (NNPTS) was by far the biggest breakthrough a human being as ever made, making their race much more popular and renowned and even led to them becoming a proud member of the Galactic Trade Association. Unfortunately, along with glory, it brought plenty of power to the mastermind that came up with the portal and it’s limitless possibilities. This genius was none other than our friend Ralph Lonsdale. Lonsdale became the wealthiest man in the world and eventually was able to expand and set up branch plants for his companies on other planets using the portal’s technology. Lonsdale became a man of limitless power, with his companies’ political and financial influence felt everywhere. Altogether, they employed over half of the earth’s population. However, all of this money and power wasn’t enough for Lonsdale. After all, what do all men with power want? That’s right, they want even more power. In secret, Lonsdale set up Narclaw HQ on Teraton (one of the moons of Zargon) in the Forchratis System. Lonsdale named it Narclaw HQ after his father who died in the pursuit of two narcotic drug dealers. This was by far the biggest corporation that Lonsdale ran, and no one on Earth even knew it existed. The Zargonites and a small number of human beings mostly ran the company. The main reason for the HQs existence was not made for the benefit for mankind, but to simply gain control of them. In secret, Lonsdale worked on genetic experimentation, weapons of mass destruction, bio-enhancements, chemical weapons design, nerve gas, and several other divisions. The power capable of being gained from this was immeasurable, and Lonsdale often used himself as a test subject for most of the bio-enhancing projects in hopes of increasing his strength, giving him new abilities, and taking him to where no human as ever gone before. Of course, this was not enough for Lonsdale. He needed even more than that. It even got to the point where he would send teams of hunters to earth and capture random people and take them to Teraton where they would be given several vials of Gourfousalis (a drug that alters the genetic code of the specimen by increasing their strength by 1000%, their speed, and allowing them to jump much higher. The procedure would then be topped off by a simple neural operation where a remote sensor would be placed in their frontal lobe, therefore impairing their free will and having them submit to the creator of the device (in other words, mind control). Lonsdale eventually created a massive army from this project. Meanwhile, the residents of the planet earth were stunned by the numerous disappearances. Investigations took place, but there was no trace of the thousands of missing citizens. However, a smaller genetic-experimentation incorporation called “Scout Core Inc.” (also specializing in bio-enhancers for the US military), had sent a shipment of Tichnialicus (a drug that increases physical strength to the planet of Gerivo of the Yithossol System. However, there was problem with the coordinates, and they ended up on Teraton, 3 miles south of Narclaw HQ. Naturally, they had no idea that they reached the wrong destination, and assumed that they were a few miles off course. They headed north and, sure enough, found Narclaw HQ. Being somewhat curious, they looked it up, and found no record of its existence. Not long after they were pursued by the border patrol and were captured. Right before, they managed to send a message back to Scout Core Inc. that they were about to be captured and included the coordinates for the location of Narclaw HQ. Scout Core Inc. soon realized what they were dealing with, and even started question if this elusive corportation had something to do with all of the missing human beings. In secret, Scout Core Inc. began to work on a new line of “Scouts” codenamed “Project: Whitebeam”, which took physically disabled people, and made them into powerful fighting machines. These Scouts were top-of-the-line and Scout Core Inc. was sure that this new addition would root out the source of this conspiracy and put it out of business. Their first mission was to head over to Teraton, and find out as much about Narclaw HQ as they could. At about the same time, Lonsdale personally made himself the head of the most advanced project up to date. This project (also known as Project: Cyndrox), if successful, would give the test subject enough power to make earth-shattering feats and do extraordinary things. The project, however, was not going very smoothly. There were several unknown factors, and most of the animal test subjects didn’t survive. The ones that did gained incredible strength, the ability to jump to heights that surpassed that of every other project’s records, and some of them even had the ability to breath fire and heal their own wounds. However, they all underwent some interesting and even disturbing changes, and their psyche became somewhat altered making them violent, aggressive, and completely insane. Lonsdale was growing impatient and insisted that they start with Zargonite testing. No one volunteered. Lonsdale became so eager to get the results that he considered becoming the first human test subject for this project. On the day of the transformation, Lonsdale strapped himself onto the platform and was given a shot of the formula. The reaction nearly killed him, but once it was all over, Lonsdale had become everything he wanted to be. His power was incredible, and he had become the strongest and most dangerous experiment among all of their recorded projects. However, he had become horribly disfigured, making himself seemingly part human and part Zargonite. He stood at about 7 feet, half of his body was that of a normal human being, while the other half was that of a monster. His left arm was long and blue and its index finger and thumb were double the size of his other fingers (which were also at least two inches longer than normal fingers), and were very sharp and pointy. He had more pounds of muscle than any other test subject, could jump off the ground 100 metres into the sky, and was strong enough to move up to 4,000 pounds above his head. In fact, he hardly had to jump at all since he could levitate off the ground. His left hand was capable of healing physical wounds, and his left eye could see through any alloy and even burn through it. Realizing what he had become, Lonsdale decided to adopt the name “Narclaw” since he was immediately devoted to making more specimens of his type. He would tone down the intensity of the formula, so that the further test subjects would undergo an easier transformation, and also that they wouldn’t be quite as powerful. As the Scouts begin their mission, this is where the story will begin… |
