I have been working hard, so please give your comments till the end. I do not want to show a Table of Contents, because I don't want you to know any of the chapters until you read them. Faith, Destiny, And Respect By FATJoe Chapter 1: Dark Fist Leaves Dark Fist was a Mobian Soldier that was in the Great War. He was in charge of bombs and the jet aircraft lines. Thus, the War was a long time past, and Dark Fist is now very poor and lives in a very small house located in Mobotropolis. One day, Dark Fist was sitting on his worn-out sofa, and all of a sudden, his landlord crashes through the door. “You! Get out!” the landlord yelled. “What? Excuse me?” Dark Fist exclaimed. “Get out! We build new place! Rouge, bat, say so!” he said. “Rouge the Bat? I’m supposed to leave this place!?” Dark Fist screamed. “Yes. Hotel be build here!” the landlord stated. Though he didn’t want to, Dark Fist immediately stood up, took all his things, left his wrecked up furniture in the house, and walked out the door. “You know what, sir?” Dark Fist said to the landlord. “What?” “You’d make a great dinner for some birds!!!” Dark Fist hollered and instantly he electrocuted the landlord. The landlord lied on the ground, his body unconscious. Dark Fist decided to go to his older brother, Klax. Klax was also in the Great War, in charge of snipering. He had a partial metal body because of a tragic accident he had, which included his skin getting torn off. Klax lived in a small area around Station Square. Dark Fist ran and ran, with the ability of super-speed. He soon arrived at his sibling’s home, which was slightly big, but not anything like a mansion. Dark Fist knocked on the door. “Who is it?” a faint voice asked from inside the household. “Me…” Dark Fist answered. “Little bro?” Klax asked again as he opened the door. Dark Fist could still notice that Klax had a metal build. “Hey,” Dark Fist silently said. “What’s up? Why do you have all your things with you?” Klax questioned. “My landlord said Rouge the Bat was building a hotel in the section of the city where I live. I had to leave, so I came to you,” “Did’ja fry him, like you always did to bullies when you were a little kid?” Klax smiled. “Heh, yeah,” Dark Fist replied. “Still the same,” Klax laughed, “Come on in.” Dark Fist set his stuff down in a corner, and grunted, full of anger. “You can go upstairs to the guest room and wash up,” Klax said. “Thank you…” Dark Fist replied quietly. And for the first time in his life, Klax saw his little brother cry. |

Chapter 2: Bullets and Blood It was 6:00 p.m. and Dark Fist and Klax decided to go for a short stroll around the neighbourhood. They were talking and then abruptly saw a ludicrous-looking, orange in colour and tall echidna. He was very old, despite his great body. All of a sudden, he stared at both of them, wide-eyed. He reached into his back pocket, and then came out a gun in his left hand. He aimed at both Dark Fist and Klax, and shot. Dark Fist ducked, but Klax walked closer to this harmful projectile. It bounced off Klax’s bulletproof metal body. Klax was furious. “What are you doing? Crazy old man!” Klax jumped high into the city air, and rocketed down, with his fist out. With his fist just inches away from the daft echidna, Klax was tackled from something behind. Klax pushed it off, and when he turned around, it was gone. He walked over to Dark Fist, and he was grasping his chest. “Are you alright?” Klax asked his little brother. “Yes…urgh…that…thing that tackled you…it hit me too,” Dark Fist said, “Something sharp…” “Let’s go back to my house. I’ll take care of you,” Klax said. “Okay…” Dark Fist limped. Something was wrong. Then, he began to run. “Dark! What are you doing!” Klax exclaimed. “Leave me be! Leave me!” Dark Fist yelled back. He ran faster, then at one point, his body stiffened up. He faced up into the sky. He turned around and began walking riggedly. He clutched his chest. Soon afterward, Dark Fist collapsed to the ground, and blood started to creep out of his chest and mouth. “Brother!” Klax rushed over. “K..l..ax…ax…gray…dark…blade…blood…red…eye…scars…he…he…is…” Dark Fist stopped there and his eyes closed slowly. “No! Brother! Tell me! Brother, who is it?” Klax screamed. Klax walked home with his little fellow brother in his arms. What was that? Nobody does this to my brother and me. I…I…will…oh b’gosh! I’m going to find that echidna! Klax arrived at his house, and set his sibling down on the sofa in the basement. He bandaged his chest, and left him there. Klax hurried out of his house to find that echidna…and the thing. And for the first time in his life…he started to cry. |

Chapter 3: In The Bar Klax ran and ran. He didn’t know where he was going. He just ran and ran. It started to shower, and it was around 10:00 p.m. Then, he became very thirsty. His mouth was completely parched and his lips were cracking. He stopped, catching his breath. He looked around. It was dark. Black. Nothing. It felt as if he was dead and he was down under. Flashes of lightning suddenly appeared. Klax closed his eyes. Lightning. Metal. Klax. Klax was afraid of his extinction right now, because of the lightning and his metal flesh. Klax stood still, and then he felt it. He felt the shock, as if his brother was doing this damage to him. He then opened his eyes. He only saw yellow. The kind of yellow you would see if you were in a room with billions of dollars worth of gold. Nothing else, but yellow. He shut his eyes again, and he fell down. He experienced the rain coming down on him, and more shock of the volt-full thunder and lightning. Klax woke up, and heard lots of rough voices, and smelled alcohol. He only saw blurs at first, then it became clear. He was looking up at a ceiling fan, and he was lying down on a wood floor. He picked himself up, and he looked around. Signs saying, “Best Beer In Town” or “Drink Up!” Someone tapped on his back. Klax turned around and saw the echidna! “You!” Klax yelled. Klax punched him in the face and the echidna fell off a chair he was sitting on. “Wait…no…listen…I need…” the echidna said. “Close yer mouth! It’s all your fault!” Klax shouted. Klax then kicked him in the side, and Klax used his power of invisibility. “Ugh…” the echidna groaned, “ Wait…where…” Klax appeared again behind him, the echidna not knowing. “Curse your soul!” Klax hollered. Klax slammed his fists on the echidna’s head and grabbed him by the neck. “You wild psyche!” Klax said. Klax started to squeeze on the echidna’s neck, and he was gasping for air. “Aak…no…I wasn’t…try…ing…to…shoot…you…eehk…” the echidna begged. Klax let go, and the old echidna dropped to the floor. He held his neck. He started to cough and cough, and then he stood up. “I…I…was…---“ “Hold it. Where am I? Did you bring me here?” Klax ordered. “Yes, I did, and I…---“ Klax covered the old echidna’s mouth and punched him in the face again. “Stop talking! Why would you bring me here? What is this? Some kind of bar?” Klax yelled. Since the beginning of this fight, everybody had been watching and staring at these two, and Klax had had enough. He grabbed the echidna’s shirt and dragged him outside. “Who are you?!” Klax demanded. “I am a 54 year-old retired Red Skull Pirate echidna named Jaggo. Happy? Now stop hitting me, kid!” “Wow. Amazing,” Klax then kicked Jaggo in the stomach and yelled, “Then why did you try to shoot me and my brother, huh?! You old psycho!” Klax put his fist high into the air, and then it flew down on Jaggo’s face. “You know what…STOP!!!” Jaggo screamed and then he took out the gun again. He put it back as soon as Klax stopped, and then Jaggo said, “Okay. Listen. I was not shooting you and your…brother, right? I was shooting at something behind you. It was gray. It had red eyes, and was holding a very long sword smeared with blood. I don’t know what it was, and it was about to hit you with its sword, so I decided to take out a gun and shoot it. However, my friend, you blocked the bullet with your…body. I saw him attack your brother, while you were about to hit me…remember? Then, the thing tackled you, and I ran away, scared. The thing, I distantly saw run away the other direction. Got it? Now leave me alone, kid!” Jaggo uppercutted Klax in the face and walked away. “Wait!” Klax said, his nose bleeding. Jaggo stopped, and turned around. “What?! Now my wife and my daughter will say I look horrible! What else do you want to do to me, kid?” Jaggo angrily said. “Look…sir…I’m sorry. I didn’t know. But now, my brother is very hurt, and I have left him alone at my house. I’m regretful about what I did, sir. But please, can you help me?” Klax said. Jaggo sighed heavily and whispered, “Sure. Why not…” Klax apologized again and again, and Jaggo forgived him, but was still a bit mad. Though, Jaggo was hearing what has happened to both Klax and his brother throughout their life, and he felt sorry. Klax also heard about Jaggo and his experiences, and soon enough, they were friends. |

Chapter 4: The Forest Of Mobius Klax and Jaggo arrived at Klax’s house, and he showed Jaggo his little brother. “He looks pretty bad. Do you happen to have any ordinary oak tree leaves?” Jaggo stated. “No, I don’t have any, but why do you need some?” Klax asked. “Well, when I was a young boy, my father was a pirate also. He used to get lots of injuries, and oak trees were nearby our home, and I would get the leaves of them to tighten the wounds of my father. It was very firm, and the wound or injury would heal quickly. We could use that for your brother here,” Jaggo said. “Well, we could go to Mobius and search their forest. They have many trees and plants,” Klax answered. “Let’s move out. Your brother should stay here until we come back,” Jaggo said. Klax and Jaggo departed and walked to Mobius. They arrived in the urban area, so they hiked up north. The forest was dim, and full of green. They entered, and immediately, mosquitos flied all over them. Klax turned invisible while Jaggo ran away. Klax caught up, and they started roaming through the wood. Then, Jaggo saw something jumping high up in the trees. It was black. Although, both of them continued to walk. They saw an old oak tree, but the branches were too elevated. Klax started to climb up the tree, and his hand was near a bunch of leaves. He climbed a foot higher, and then a haze of darkness appeared and covered Klax’s whole body. After the darkness, Klax was gone from Jaggo’s vision! Jaggo looked around. He looked up. Nothing. Birds singing. Bugs buzzing. But no Klax. Unexpectedly, Jaggo was hit in the face by something. Something barbed. He lay on the ground, and he touched his face. It was bloody but he felt no pain. Maybe because of the rapid adrenaline rush in him. He stood up, and then something hit him again, but on his chest. He didn’t fall down though. He looked carefully through the forest. Then, a blur of darkness filled his eyes. At that moment, a ninja appeared with Klax in his or her hand! “Whoever you are, put my friend down!” Jaggo screamed. The ninja dropped Klax and then punched Jaggo in the side. Klax then turned invisible. He came to the ninja’s face, and then he recognized her. “ROUGE!” Klax yelled as he kicked her in the gut. |

Chapter 5: The Great Loss The ninja showed no pain. It jumped, and flattered its wings in the air, and stayed there. “I am not Rouge. Yaahh!” the ninja yelled. It jetted toward Klax and Jaggo, and both got wounded. Klax stood up, but Jaggo stayed on the ground. “Jaggo, why are you still lying down?! I need help!” Klax screamed. “Whee…hubba…hubba…” Jaggo said. “Huh? Oh no, she has a charm power! Aaah! I might as well run away! Good bye, Jaggo!” Klax said. Klax started off, and then a flash of light blue and red emerged in front of him. “Brother. Why are you quitting?” It was Dark Fist! “No! What are you doing here? You’re hurt!” Klax said. Klax looked at his little brother’s chest, and it was covered with dried gore. “Just fight, Klax. Remember what father has always said,” Dark Fist said. “Dark Fist. Listen to me. Go back home. I’m trying to help you my best, and you’re not obeying me!” Klax hollered. “Brother. You just can’t understand. Faith. Destiny. Respect. Our father. Our mother…” Dark Fist put his head down. Then, Klax tried to run away again, but Dark Fist turned around. “NO! BROTHER!” Dark Fist yelled. Klax looked back, and was mad. Dark Fist was hurt, and then he wanted to fight, so --- Something grabbed Klax by the back and flew up into the standing timbers. Klax glanced over his shoulder and it was the ninja! “Put me down!” Klax demanded. “If you say so!’ the ninja said. It let go its grip of Klax, and he thrashed into the ground. Klax was the one now very injured, and his eyes were just pure white. Dark Fist hurried over, and felt his brother’s pulse. “No…no…no…NO!” Dark Fist was full of rage and was blazing in intensity. He glowed in blue and red, and yelled in fury. His fists pumped. His body shook hard. He stopped, and he looked and was different. The spikes on his head were longer, his electricity power was stronger, and he was faster. “Brother…I have lost you…I will make you proud…” Dark Fist said, “I have lost everyone now. I know you are out there, protecting me, father. I know you are out there, loving me, mother. And brother. I know you are out there, by my side…” Dark Fist picked up Jaggo, fled from the woods, and stayed in his brother’s home. He settled Jaggo in the living room, and he cried himself to sleep, and waited for the next day. |

Chapter 6: Once Is Enough Dark Fist woke up mad. He thought hard, about everything. He got off his bed, and got ready for the day. He was eating breakfast when he heard the door bell ring. Dark Fist got up and opened the door. He saw a female echidna with blue clothing. “Hello, how may I help you?” Dark Fist asked. “Um…hi. I think my daddy is here,” she said. “Your…daddy?” Dark Fist replied. She pushed aside Dark Fist and entered the house. She stared at Jaggo and ran over to him. He was still sleeping, and snoring. The female echidna rubbed Jaggo’s forehead. Jaggo whined and then opened his eyes. “Roxy?” Jaggo grunted. “Yes, it’s me!” she said. Jaggo stood up and scratched his eyes. He waved at Dark Fist and smiled. “What are you doing here?” The female echidna talked and talked and Dark Fist was getting stressed. Later, they left the house. “Thanks, kid. Nice hair!” Jaggo said as he walked off with the other echidna. Dark Fist closed the door. He sat down again to eat his remaining breakfast, when he heard a screech outside. He ran to the door and opened it. He saw Jaggo fighting the thing while the female echidna screamed! Dark Fist looked at it carefully. It was dark gray and scary. He remembered. He knew who this was. Dark Fist has seen this figure many times around his former home in Mobotropolis. “Hey! Leave him alone!” Dark Fist yelled as he dashed toward them. The thing had a long sword in his hand. Dark Fist raised his hand, ready to destroy this figure. “Go away!” Dark Fist shouted as he made a very powerful electric current come out of his hand. Electricity flowed fearlessly and directly to the thing. It shut its eyes. It showed agony and anger. Dark Fist stopped, and the thing was crisped. It was still standing though. It opened its eyes! “D…d..i…di…e…DIE!” the thing yelled. It hurdled toward Dark Fist doing flips and acrobatic motion. It placed its blade right above Dark Fist’s nose. Then the fight began. |

Chapter 7: Doom The thing shouted and sliced away. Dark Fist dodged every blow, and then low kicked the thing, and made it fall down. Dark Fist stood up and ran around with super-speed to confuse the thing. It got dizzy and stood still. Dark Fist electrocuted it and it lay on the earth, in a coma. Dark Fist picked it up, and then blasted it into a nearby building. It woke up and headed for Dark Fist. As the thing was about to hit him, Dark Fist formed an electric barrier around himself. The thing suffered electric burns and got even angrier. It punched Dark Fist in the face, and jump kicked him in the stomach. “Urgh! What do you want from me?!” Dark Fist screamed. Meanwhile, Jaggo and “Roxy” hid in a close bush. “Your…money!” the thing said. It backflipped into the air and shoved Dark Fist to the ground. “Daddy, I think I should help him!” Roxy said. “No! Roxy, it’s too dangerous. This hedgehog knows what he’s doing,” Jaggo said back. Dark Fist got hurt and hurt. He finally couldn’t take it anymore, and used all his power. He rised from the ground, staying in mid-air. He beamed in yellow, and then an explosion of electricity and shock erupted. The thing covered its eyes, waiting for the worst. It almost killed Dark Fist, and his brother was already gone from him. The thing shielded himself with his measly sword, but failed. It looked like it was dying slowly, but it was hard to tell from the light. The spark was travelling all around the thing’s body, and it was jet black. It opened its eyes, its ugly red pupil still remaining. It walked one step. Another step. Then slumped to the ground. Death captured his soul. Dark Fist was breathing hard. His eyes were all yellow and crackles of electricity were moving restlessly throughout his fists. “I…will...not…STOP!!” Dark Fist yelled and he fell down also. Meanwhile, another hedgehog was nearby, travelling on a rather large spider. The hedgehog was in search of his parents. He had been trekking for a long time, and nothing exciting was ever happening. But next, he saw Dark Fist. Another hedgehog, but also another future companion he would be with for the rest of his existence. |

Epilogue: Never Scared The other hedgehog was green and yellow. It hopped of its spider, and ran in the direction of Dark Fist. “Hello? Do you need any help?” the hedgehog asked. Dark Fist got to his senses but his fists were bleeding badly. “Ugh…who are you?” Dark Fist said. “Hello. My name is Galdor. What has happened to you?” Galdor asked again. Dark Fist explained everything and Galdor helped him up. They talked and talked, and became comrades. Dark Fist looked back at his house. He was having trouble deciding something. Galdor had offered Dark Fist to come with him on his spider and travel all over the globe and have great adventures. Or, he would stay here, but be safe. “I…will…” Dark Fist said. He looked down at the ground. His head hurt, and same with the rest of his body. He stared at the house. He walked over, thinking thoughts. He touched the outer wall of his house, and instantly demolished it with his energy. His brother and his home might be gone, but Dark Fist thought, it would never be gone from his memories. He paced over to Galdor and smiled. Both got onto Bodocrov and headed off. Thousands of hours passed, reaching the impossible. Dark Fist was nervous, whatever might happen to him. Bodocrov then stopped. Dark Fist shoved into Galdor, and then they saw something tremendous. They saw a colossal city full of androids and robots. All three, Bodocrov, Galdor and Dark Fist were on top of a large hill looking at the immense metropolis. They started down the mound, and were eager to see what was in this city. They wandered around, and then they saw a big, hulky echidna. It was reddish-brown, and it wore a navy seal uniform. “You three! What are you doing here?!” he asked. |
