I've been considering getting a Playstation Move the past few days, mostly for No More Heroes when it comes out next month and probably Resident Evil 5 Gold(there's a few more titles I want and own but those are the big two). I've found quite a few of the bundles on Amazon and Half used for $60.

Anyone here have a Move or any insight on if its a good product or not? Any and all suggestions/info/tips/so on and so forth would be appreciated!

You know what? I'm in the exact same boat as you and for the exact same games. I've had RE5 Gold Edition for a while but have yet to actually play it. And I got No More Heroes pre-ordered. To play those games, I would need a Playstation Eye, a Move controller and navigation controller at minimum. They have the Move bundled with a game and the Eye, but I think it's cheaper to buy them separately. I'm looking around and I'm seeing prices all over the place. Then I may buy the optional charger dock thing. So I'm thinking about making a purchase soon. I haven't actually tried it out before, but if I get it soon then I'll post my thoughts.

Thanks, hopefully things work out. And if you do end up buying them separately for cheaper prices let me know!

Thankfully, the navigation isn't required, but I honestly don't know how comfortable it would be using the PS3 controller as the navigation, i remember seeings pics for RE5 and it didn't look comfortable.

I got the Move. And here are my initial impressions with RE5. I think I have RE: Mecenaries 3D to blame for some of this. In that game, you had the option to just hold the circle pad to run and I loved that. RE5 doesn't have that option so you have to hold a button to run. I guess that's no big deal, considering every RE game has had you hold a button to run, but it just doesn't feel right with the Move controller. You either press the X button, which is to the lower left of the Move button, or the L1 button on the navigation controller. Neither of these feel good to me and I just want the option to run without pressing a button.

I don't really care for the Navigation controller too much either. I guess I'm just used to the Wii nunchuck, and I definitely prefer that. The Wii nunchuck is more curved so it'll fit your hand and is just more comfortable to hold. The PS3 nav controller has no curve to it so my thumb feels like it's in an awkward position. I guess it's better than holding the Dual Shock with one hand though.

I think RE5 would feel much better if there were more control options for the Move. There are only two options to choose from, and neither are that great to me. One has you pressing the X button to run and the other has you pressing L1 to run. I like having the run option on the nav controller, but the problem is my finger is resting comfortably on L2, not L1. So now my thumb and index finger are in awkward positions. If there were an option to customize the controls and let me set run to L2, I think most of my complaints would be easily remedied.

The aiming controls work pretty good. Only complaint here is that you need to use the analog stick to move the screen around instead of the pointer controls. I believe RE4 Wii edition did this same thing, and it was something I had to get used to. I think if I spend more time I may get used to it. I did die in that first Majini assault at the square because of this. But I'll give it more time and see if I would eventually prefer this over regular controls.

That's about it for now. RE5 is the only game I have tested out so far so who knows how other games would fare. I have Dead Space Extraction which I believe uses Move controls. I should try that out sometime.

Yeah I'm fairly certain that that Extraction is Move enabled.

That's sad to hear about RE5, because I feel RE4 controlled fantastically. I think I'll still check out the Move, but maybe not as soon as I thought I would.

I'm interested in hearing your thoughts on more of the titles that you own.

I've been playing a bit more RE5 and I got to say it is growing on me. I'm getting more accustomed to the feel of the controllers. I'm not feeling any problem with the Move controller itself, but rather the lack of control options RE5 has to offer. Still I think things will work out. After a while I may love it as much as RE4 Wii.

Finally got a chance to go to Nintendo World for technically the "first" time (it was still the Pokemon Center the last time I was there). Picked up Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs among other things...and by "other things", I mean Poke Dolls. ^_^ And a Luigi shirt. :luigi:

If I ever went to Nintendo World, I think I'd probably end up buy one of everything. I've seen pictures of things they have there and it looks awesome. Maybe one day I'll go to New York.

That's really cool!

I hope one day I can make a trip to the Nintendo Store and at least check it out.

I'm sure it'd be impossible for me to leave there without buying at least one item.
