I've been playing the new Paper Mario. Haven't put too much time in, but I got enough to make an early impression. I think it is a good game. They did change quite a bit from earlier titles. While I think it is a good game, I also think it is my least favorite of the Paper Marios. I just don't really care for the battle system and using stickers to fight. You don't gain any exp so battling seems kind of pointless. You can gain coins and more stickers, but those are mostly used for battles anyway. I don't see any downside to simply avoiding fights. The humor is top-notch, but they are really emphasizing the paper thing. The game is more papery than previous titles from the graphics with the new cardboard coins look, as well as characters making paper puns like "I'm going to tear you to shreds!" The characters seem to be aware that the world is made of paper. I don't think they ever really mentioned the paperyness of the world before. It almost makes this feel like an alternate universe of the Mushroom Kingdom, completely separate from the standard Mario. Maybe that's always been the case. |

Hey Metroid! Nice to see ya around buddy. I initially wasn't planning on getting it right away but the K-Mart deal was too hard to pass up. I picked up Professor Layton and Paper Mario today. I haven't played either, and probably won't till I'm a little farther in Pokemon White 2. Thankfully now that I'm not in school anymore the only big things I have in my way is work, which is few and far between right now (doing freelance work) and even when I have a lot, it is a lot easier to schedule around than school. So I'm hoping to have Pokemon White 2 beat (but not done!) in the next week and I dunno where I'll go from there. I also bought Kirby Mass Attack from New Egg and Epic Mickey comes out this weekend which I have the 3DS version pre ordered (Wii or Wii U version will have to wait till sometime around or after Christmas) so I have plenty of games to play! |

So GameStop shipped out my Wii U today. From what I am hearing, I should get it Monday. Amazon was able to deliver my 3DS on Sunday, but I guess GameStop just isn't that good. Well at least I am getting it soon. |

(Meant to post this here and not the Bargain Bin) During Amazon's Lightning Deals Epic Mickey 2 for Wii was on sale for $25, unfortunately I missed that but was able to still get it for $30. Good enough for me. Gonna wait till I have my Wii U to play it though. |

I caved on BTTF on GOG...but I'm not playing it until Christmas, and it'll count towards my holiday sale budget. I'm not sure how much it'll be yet, but that's $5 taken off already. |

Kinda wish I got the Wii version since you can't use the Wii remote to control Mickey in the Wii U version. You can use it to control Oswald if you play 2-player, but not in a one player game. The game was obviously meant to be played with a Wii remote and standards controls just feels a bit weird. |

Yeah, the Wii U version was a missed opportunity entirely. That's why I opted for the Wii version. The PS3 version has Move controls, but I don't have a move or any of the accessories so I didn't feel like investing all of that right now just for Epic Mickey 2. Even though I'd get some use out of it for Resident Evil 5 as well. EDIT: Also, forgot to mention a few days ago I picked up Resident Evil 6 off of Amazon, so if anyone else has it for PS3 and would like to play sometime soon just let me know! I got Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTYE, another thing to open on Christmas! It's currently 75% off Greenman Gaming and you can get an extra 30% off with this code (works on other games too) GMG30-DPLIM-DN831 It registers on Steam. |

As a heads up for anybody, GMG has NiGHTS, so you can get it for $7 using that code. |

Ah yeah, and the game registers on Steam as well. So if you want to gift it to someone during the exchange, you could buy it there for a discount and then give the Steam key to them. |
