I'm a bit in my cups at the moment.

I actually purchased them on the 26th using a gift card I got for Christmas, but today I picked up Prof. Layton 2 and Golden Sun Dark Dawn. (I did store pickup) I started Layton, though I'm not sure if I want to start GS right away...I'm tempted not to start it until I beat the first two. Does anyone know how important it is to play through those two before starting Dark Dawn? |

I didn't beat the second Golden Sun, but I was still able to enjoy the third game. I don't think the story is directly related to the previous games. It had been so long since I played the other games that I kind of forgotten the story anyway. If you we're to jump right into Dark Dawn, I'd say you would be fine. |

Thanks. I guess I'll get to it...at some point anyway. I actually still have a bunch of RPGs to beat. I might just wait on it. |

A day or so I ordered Mass Effect 2 for PS3 from Amazon, should have that in the next few days. Not sure if I'm going to start it right away or wait till I beat a few more games. Coming right off the first one though I am slightly anxious. |

I downloaded New Super Mario Bros. U the other day. I've beat the first four worlds (the first two and both of the world the path splits off to) and I like the new battles with the Koopalings. A lot of the stages are really creative and pretty and Boost Mode is really fun when used properly. Flying Squirrel Mario is going right up there with some of my favorite power-ups. I love clinging to walls and gliding like Knuckles in a Mario game! I've been playing it mostly with my brother and sister and we've had lots of fun in Coin Battle and the other modes where you can play as your Miis too. And the Baby Yoshis! They're so great! |

NSMBU is easily the best "New" game yet. It offers a lot of new things and it is actually a lot more challenging than past games. Sure 1-ups are easy to attain so chances are you won't see a Game Over screen, but I like that they curb the one ups to only 99 and you can only have like what, 10 power ups banked? (If even that many). And they're even harder to obtain this time around, the mushroom house mini games aren't as generous this time around. |

Anyone try out that Fire Emblem demo that was released today? It's pretty good. You get to customize the look of your guy but that isn't in the demo. There is a casual mode where your guys won't die, but rather come back if they get defeated in battle. I think that's what I need. :( |

Yup, I really enjoyed it. The new Dual Strike feature breaths new life into the strategy gameplay that hasn't changed much ... well, at all. I really like the way the game looks, though there seems to be an abundance of bloom. Not too bad, though. The animations and models are definitely a step up. I'm glad that casual mode is an option, but I'll be going classic. I haven't decided if I'll do normal difficulty or give hard a try from the get-go. Shadow Dragon was pretty easy, so I'm looking for a challenge. I'm pretty excited about the game and hope it'll be the best yet. It definitely looks like it has the potential to be. |

Oh cool, it has a casual mode? I've never played much of a Fire Emblem game so that might be appealing if the series proves too hard for me :P. Still not sure if I'm going to get this though. I downloaded the demo though, so I'll definitely give that a whirl. Perhaps I should play the one for GBA I have on my 3DS soon too. |
