It's fun. Basically your ship can change between black and white, and there are enemies colored black and white. You can absorb bullets of the same color to charge a special homing laser attack or change to the opposite color to deal more damage. Destroying several enemies of the same color in a row rewards you with a chain bonus. However, shooting enemies with the same color results in slightly less damage dealt, and if you hit an opposite colored bullet you die. Fortunately there's a small hitbox on the ship though. The game is considered a spiritual sequel to Radiant Silvergun for the Sega Saturn as there is a boss from RS that makes an appearance in Ikaruga. Ikaruga was originally released on Dreamcast in Japan only and debuted in the US on GCN. The GCN game is almost the same except I think some bits of text were lazily cut out in the US version...still good though :) |

So I'm walking through Targets electronic department, and I see that they have alot of DS games on sale, and one of 'em I notice is Final Fantasy III, regularly $39.99, on sale for $24. Obviously I couldn't pass it up so I bought it :p. Other games on sale was, Pokemon Ranger, Yoshi's Island DS, Wario Master of Disguise, New Super Mario Bros., Spectrobes, Diddy Kong Racing DS(I think), and many more! All on sale for $24, just thought I'd mention while I'm here :p. |
