Wow! Sounds like you've had it rough, Fang. Good thing you came here and got some help from our vulpine librarian, Tails_FoxPrower. ;) I don't ever use MSN either, so I don't have to worry about that I guess. The only messengers I use are the personal messengers here ... and at a few other forums, of course.

thank god for comcast.
and don't follow those add links guys. You oculd get spyware or trojan horses. 'tis not fun, me being enlightened as the subject was my last science project. less than 10% of compy owners are safe from viruses and other nashty things.

Well I'm really glad that we were able to help and that your computer wasn't ruined. Something funny though is that the ads on this page were for getting rid of the virus :eggman: . If you'd noticed you could've used those (and we thought that the ads were just annoying :eggman: )

LoL That's hilarious! :eggman: See how helpful our forums are? Even the ads try to help! ^_^

Yeah, it looks like the ads adapt to the content of the page in Invision forums. I've checked it out on a few pages and I find the ads funny, sometimes. Heck, in my review for "Watchers", there's ads fro Dean Koontz. xP

So my talking about that virus made adds come up for that virus, but the ads have trojan viruses... which makes them bad but good if you get them normally?

Nuh uh
trojan horses are ALWAYS bad. they're viruses that come from an ad that provide "virus protecton" which is why they call them trojan horses.
And talking about them doesn't make ads for them but possible trojan horse ads or real virus protectoin adds.

Oh, so never click a virus protection ad.

I hate to correct you there Ryu-Kage, but while that may be true about trojan horses, the real reason they're called such is because they disguise themselves as a harmless file or program when you unknowingly download them. The virus is then activated by either a certain action or over a certain expanse of time. The seemingly harmless file or program would be like the wooden horse that was delivered as a gift yet contained many soldiers inside ready to attack their enemies from within as a brilliant tactical maneuver way back in the Trojan War. History is radicool, viruses ain't.

My dad switched it to McAfee 2 weeks ago and now not only can't I use e-mail hyperlinks but now if I do something on a website more than 3 times it automaticly blocks the site (other than forums which have been personnaly protected. it sucks! > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > < > <
