Now that the Star Wars Saga is complete, the question can be asked: which movie do you think is the best?

I'm having a hard time deciding because I love them all so much :yoda:

Tough one, it's either Revenge of the Sith, or Return of the Jedi. . .I'd go with Sith, that last battle with Anakin and Obi was phenominal. I even have the song(Battle of Heroes) on my MP3 player XD.

Yeah, I kind of agree. I do love Battle of the Heroes :vector: (I have all the Star Wars soundtracks). It's either Revenge of the Sith or Return of the Jedi for me too, but it's awfully hard to rule out A New Hope and the others for that matter.

I can't decide either. So if you don't mind, I'll break this down into categories for me.

Characters - Episode I The Phantom Menace - Qui-Gon Jinn was so cool and Darth Maul made a good villain. Mesa also one of the few people who like Jar Jar Binks. This is a close one, though. I also like the characters in the other prequels and the last movie.

Dialogue - Episode II Attack of the Clones ... JUST KIDDING! I mean honestly, "I truly, deeply love you and before we die I wanted you to know." Please excuse me as I throw up something nasty. Episode III Revenge of the Sith by a long shot. As I said in that other thread, I love the dialogue between Obi-Wan and Anakin as they prepare to duel each other. So emotional and at the same time, so very cool. 0bi-W4n 0wnz j00, An4kin!!!1!!1!!

Acting - Episode IV A New Hope - Most of the dialogue was decent and some of it was very memorable but I think it was acted as well it could have ever been by anybody. I say this mostly because of Han and ... well, Obi-Wan. Face it, Obi-Wan rocks.

Music - Episode III Revenge of the Sith - Battle of the Heroes does rock as does General Grievous' music and the returning tracks from other movies such as Duel of the Fates, the Imperial March, May the Force Be With You, Princess Leia's Theme, the Emperor Arrives, and the love song for Anakin and Padme. All that purdy music.

Lightsaber Duel - Episode III Revenge of the Sith again - There's just so dang many of them and the best of all comes at the end with Obi and Ani. Not only that, watch one lightsaber duel and you get to watch another one free! w00t!!

Space Battle - Episode VI Return of the Jedi - It's close with Sith again, though. This one shows the true power of the Rebellion with their awesome pilots because now they've finally got the resources and the ships to show the Empire what they're made of. Two huge fleets against each other along with the Death Star II.

Ending - Episode VI Return of the Jedi - All conflicts are finally resolved and Anakin turns from the dark side to save his son from the Emperor. I especially like the scenes from many different planet rejoicing over the fall of the Empire including Naboo, and don't forget the destruction of the Emperor's statue at the Imperial Palace on Coruscant.

Well, looks like I'm partial to Sith and Jedi myself although the minor battles in Episode II Attack of the Clones were also good. By that, I mean Jango Fett. I like them all, though. Episode V The Empire Strikes Back also has lots of parts I like. I really can't say I like one over the other. They're all just too good. ^_^

Even to this day, I'd still see Return of the Jedi as my favorite Star Wars movie. Revenge of the Sith makes a close second.

Actually Shadow, the Galactic Civil War didn't end with RotJ. The war would last for at least six or even seven more years. :o

I love all the movies. They all have a special place in my heart. I could never decide which was better than another.

Yeah, yeah, I know. That's mostly Expanded Universe, though. As for as just the movies go, it's over at the end of Episode VI, right? Weird thing about the movies though, (I may have said this once before, I don't remember if I did or not.) even though the saga is complete and someone who had never seen the movies could watch Episode I through Episode VI for the first time in order, if I were introducing someone to Star Wars I would still advise them to watch the Original Trilogy first and then watch the prequels. They're just so much better that way. The mystery of who Darth Vader really is and Luke's relationship with Leia are too cool. It wouldn't be as cool watching the Original Trilogy the first time if you already knew all that stuff. So as sad and dark as the ending of Episode III is, to me it is the rightful end to the saga.

Yeah, I think so too. Already knowing that Luke and Leia were related would kind of ruin the suprise of the revelation in RotJ.

I'd like to mention Vader being Luke's father, but pop culture has exaggerated it so much that everyone and their brother knows... > <

(8<l:...

Plus, why not introduce the person the way everyone else was?

Ah, but if you found someone who'd never seen a Star Wars movie they'd already know that Anakin is Darth Vader (8<l

LIEK OMG SPOILERZ

I'd have to say that...Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite. The Cloud City Betrayal was awesome! Luke and Vader's moments, training on Dagobah(sp? Did I even get the name right lol?), Hoth(<3)...

I also think V had closes the best. It's all about Luke and his hand.
