1. Using your ISP's browser is bad. I know using AOL's browser will not let this trick work because it ignores the HOSTS file. Just use Mozilla FireFox
2. Close out whatever browser you are using. This trick won't work until your browser is restarted.
3. Go into My Computer then go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\ETC
4. Double-Click the HOSTS file and when it asks you what program to use to open it, use notepad.
5. There should be a (couple) of lines that say stuff like:
127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 ads.clicksor.com

6. Below the last line type in:
127.0.0.1 pagead2.googlesyndication.com

7. Click File -> Save and close the file.
8. Open your browser and go here. Viola! No Ads.


This Tutorial posted by TailsNeverFails of the Foxton Forums. Apparantly, this works for all invision boards, since I haven't seen hide nor hair of an ad on this place today. xP

Hey cool! Thanks for that. The only other way to get the ads off would be to pay money for your site to be ad free.
