Yesterday I bought the usual One Piece and Pokémon though I also got part 1 of Ocarina of Time. So far I like how they show things we didn't see in the games and that things happen differently. I hesitated on getting this since I was worried it would just be an abridged version of the game with no new things happening.

Yesterday I ordered volume 1 of Fairy Tail from this site. It has nice prices and free shipping though let's see how long it takes...

I just noticed that Viz released the first two volumes of the Pokémon Black & White manga on the 5th. They're only $5, but seem to be half the length that manga volumes usually are. If you don't mind waiting two weeks (unless you're in the UK, but no one here is), you can get it from here for $3.99, free shipping. link

I think I already know the answer to this but is anyone else into the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series?

I used to read all the Shonen Jump manga, but lately the only thing I've been reading is One Piece. I should probably increase my manga reading again. I think I first heard of it from the Jump Super Stars games, and that one really stood out to me from all the others that I wasn't already reading. That and Bobobobo-Bobobo. Are these manga free online somewhere? I certainly don't think I can afford another 100-volume series, though I do like reading from the books. Or I guess they're 5 bucks each on that Viz app. Haven't actually tried that.

Only Part III of JBA (Stardust Crusaders) has been released in English (as simply Jojo's Bizarre Adventure.) Everything else you'll have to read online. I do wish Viz would release the rest of the series here, but it would be a lot since this series as a whole is 100+ volumes now.

A lot of people say you can enjoy each part on its own, but the parts (at least up to Steel Ball Run, which I think might be a reboot of sorts) are still connected.

I did enjoy Part I (Phantom Blood) but I think it starts to get really good at either Part II (Battle Tendency) or Part III, where the Stands are introduced.

I learned yesterday that Shonen Jump is going all digital, and weekly. It'll be called Weekly Shonen Jump Alpha, and the last magazine will be out in March. It'll cost a bit less to subscribe now, $25.

I don't agree with manga going digital at all. I want actual books, digital manga is worthless to me. They might as well be scanlations.

That's basically how I feel about movies, games, books, and more.

I love digital copies of things, but thats what I want it to stay as, digital COPIES.

Obviously there are exceptions to each medium that I have, but I won't go into that here nor there.

Yeah, I might have sounded like I'm against digital manga period, but I'm not. It's great as another option, and I see the benefits of it: Cheaper for both the companies and consumers, doesn't take up physical space, and if you have a smart phone you can have a whole manga collection in your pocket to read anywhere.

I just hope digital doesn't become the only option.
